One of a kind venue! The sound, atmosphere and view are top quality and one of a kind! A must experience for music lovers! I never want to see a concert anywhere else! However, be prepared, the walk UP from the parking lot is a work out and the bathrooms are inconveniently located at the very bottom of the venue (everything goes up), so every trip back to your seat from the bathroom is a hike up the stairs!

This place is absolutely gorgeous. They have a small gift shop and history walk in the building at the top of the staircase. Visiting here not only gives you good exercise with all the stairs, but spectacular views of the mountain range. I would love to come to a concert here some point in the future!
First the good things: this is a beautiful venue with amazing views of the city. I loved how they used lights on the rocks as well. I would love to go to another concert here someday. However, the parking was a NIGHTMARE. We arrived about an hour early, waited in a line of cars that was barely moving for about thirty minutes, and then suddenly a traffic director lady waved us over to the side of the road and made us park. We said "are we parking here?" She said, "yes, there are free shuttles and taxis. Get out." So we got out and started walking with others who'd been made to park...while a bunch of others cars who had been behind us proceeded to head up the road and park farther up. We ended up walking about a mile uphill, and then climbed a bunch of stairs. For us it wasn't that big a deal, but the lady from the car next to us was elderly and kept having to stop and rest. It was ridiculous for them to expect her to make that hike. There were no shuttles that we saw. When we finally got to the top there was a parking lot that was half empty and they were filling it with cars that were just arriving. It seems unfair to make people who arrive early park really far away and hike uphill (without asking about their physical ability), while those who arrive at the last minute get to park in the parking lot right next to the venue. Really poor execution of parking.
Absolutely, beautiful scenery. Go on a cheap movie night. You don't have to go to a concert here, but you should go at night. Handicap beware. The climb is super steep and hard to do even if you are in shape. Bring something to drink on the way up. Water bottles have to be emptied at the gate but they have water fountains to refill them. Don't attempt to bring anything to smoke in. It will be taken. Bus to Show company offers a $25 roundtrip ride out there from downtown Denver
I have wanted to see a concert at this venue for decades, and when I finally did it was worth the wait. Make sure to bring a blanket and some layers since it can get cold. Lots of rest rooms close by and lots of concessions, so you can spend your time relaxing and enjoying the show. The amphitheatre itself is stunning, and the sound is incredible. Add the view, and you really have a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
My Absolute favorite outdoor place to go see a concert! Not only in the Great State of Colorado, but also... just about anywhere else too! The lighting is incredible. The seating is Fantastic. The sound is Phenomenal. There is no better venue in the state of Colorado. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is probably one of the Best in The World. Honestly! I highly recommend everybody and anybody to go spend some time at Red Rocks. You won't regret it!
Great spot to take in some pretty scenery. We didn't attend a concert obviously, due to the pandemic but it was nice to check out. They have the cleanest restrooms I have ever seen at a park! All gender neutral single occupancy restrooms.
Very cool place! Beautiful rocks and amazing views. The road through the park is very nice. Only annoying part was the amphitheater closed at 2 because of a concert at 8.. So they kicked everyone out. Didn't get to spend much time in the amphitheater because of that.
Beautiful venue, outdoors so bring a jacket for when it gets cold. Incredible amount of stairs to climb to get in and out. For sure one of the most unique venues in Colorado! Getting out after a show really isnt too bad if you can find your vehicle in one of the few lots to park in.
Would be 5 stars if we were fortunate enough to catch a show here. But just visiting and enjoying the park, taking the amphitheater stair challenge, and visiting the museum was well worth the time!
There is a nice walking trail just to the south of the amphitheater as well.
How can you not rate it 5stars. So beautiful. Im so thankful they open it up just for people to hang out. It is a must see. If you come at dusk you will see lots of deer right off the rode way.
An absolutely stunning and breathtaking location! I've been to concerts and movies here, and sometimes come just to workout in the amphitheatre or hike. They keep it pretty clean, there are restrooms available and a nice little building. A very touristy attraction, so it's usually busy.
I've been to a lot of concerts and what is said about this place is true. It is the most magical, beautiful venue out there. The staff were friendly, the acoustics were incredible and the scenery was picturesque. I cannot wait to go back!!!
The sound is amazing and the scenery is beautiful. Unless you are in handicap seats (1 escort/companion to 1 handicap person) there are no backs to the seats so stadium seats are highly recommended. It gets really windy there. Went in May and needed my winter coat! Bring a blanket to either sit on or wrap up with. Handicap parking is VERY limited so get there really early. Half an hour will not do it. After 4pm handicap people can park in limo parking only if you have a wheelchair. I saw someone, non handicap, no wheelchair, park in limo parking and get ticketed. There are lots of stairs down to the stage eo be sure what row you want if you have challenges with stairs.
Came here off season to see and wasnt disappointed. It's an amazing place to see, the weather was nice and people were exercising and walking around the place. Would love to come back for a show. If you're not used to the high altitude, take your time, it's worth it.
It's Red Rocks...what else is there to say? :) AMAZING venue...great views, wonderful acoustics...my girlfriend and I came here from Maryland for a concert and had such a great time. Even with the bit of rain that came down between acts. Be prepared for a lot of climbing.
The elevation makes the air so thin it is extremely hard to breathe I Vape I used to smoke for anyone that does currently smoke I don't recommend doing this for fun. While enjoying the view I watched several people workout run across bleachers up and down bleachers that made me tired watching them.
Absolute must see. But be ready to climb. My legs were on fire. But the views are AMAZING! Can't believe the number of people we saw exercising here. Those people made me feel so out of shape. We got to see it at night and during the day because we got there during a concert and came back the next day to see it at daybreak. Stunning!
Great venue and Killer Queen "killed it" with an excellent performance. However, we did get rained on which is an expected risk with an outdoor event. Be prepared with ponchos. I believe they sell rain ponchos there as well.
reminds me of the hollywood bowl very nice venue. the stairs are a killer but if you dont mind its a really cool place. they also have a museum as well can go there before 2pm to check out the stage yourself!
Great venue for pretty much any music performance. One downside is there is always lots of uphill walking/stairs, so not for those who can't handle that.
Best venue in the state and country without a doubt. Acoustics are phenomenal though the volume has had to be tempered somewhat the last 4 or 5 years I believe due to a noise ordinance. All types of popular acts through every genre go there so it's quite easy to find a concert with a group that you like. Teamed with great weather, there is no better concert venue.
The sonic bath that JRAD unleashed in the red rocks of Colorado was both magical and mind bending. Catharsis and ecstacy wrapped up in the guitar, keyboards, and of course the drums. What an incredible show!!
Beautiful venue! Amazing location and views. Visitors should realize the concert may take place in the rain. Visitors should alsi know your fellow concert goers may choose to stand, dance, and cavort about right in front of you throughout the entire show and block your view. If you are there to listen only, no problem. Even in the rain, I would have given it 5 stars if I could have just SEEN the concert I paid to see.
The venue was nice but be prepare to climb a lot of stairs. The amphitheater is very high up. Do not wear high heels. Also it is not allow to smoke but everyone smokes pot and they don't do anything about it.
Hands down the best outdoor music venue that you could go to. If it's your first time just be prepared to walk a decent amount uphill to get to your seats.
One of the best concert venues in North America, Red Rocks is a must see experience! Take in a concert, hike, workout and wander through the visitors center to learn about its history. It is amazing!!
The most amazing concert venu in the United States. Go during the day for spectacular views of Denver or to get your sweat on running the stairs. On off-concert nights in the summer they have a great series called Film On The Rocks where local bands open for a recent popular movie shown on a big screen kind of like the old drive in movies, but with no cars. Of course all the biggest acts come to play here and not uncommonly a lot of tours begin at Red Rocks. One of my favorite places to go in the Denver Area. If you haven't been there, you're missing out.
Wow. Well worth the 5 minutes from Interstate 70. Trails. Bathroom at trading post. Free to walk around, but you CANNOT see into the amphitheater. Rocks are equal to, or more dramatic than at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Go early to avoid crowds to see the concerts.
Spectacular location. Nice choice of trails. You can walk all through the theater off season. The Grille is gross (menu, servers, and environment), so plan to eat elsewhere. The village in Morrison has better food choices. Nice place to hike or stroll through any time of the year, any weather.
Didn t go for an event but instead for the sunset.
Gorgeous views over the city and mountains. We made it just in time for the sunset. Free to get in to just look during non-event times. Be prepared for all of the steps! Definitely a workout to get up there.
It's very pretty here, though usually pretty crowded. I look forward to the day in in Colorado to experience a show here as it a common stop for me when I visit Denver. I mean this place is as picturesque as it gets, and is a decent place to get acclimated on a shorter hike before heading up to 10kft. Trails are nothing challenging and I've been able to enjoy them, a little slowly, even with a strained knee. Always clean despite the crowds.
This is for sure my favorite place to go hiking. It s so easy and convient to come and exercise. Even if you re here to sight see only, it is breath taking.
What a gem for the Denver area. Travelled from DFW area to take in a concert on a Friday night. Would suggest south or north upper lot parking to minimize your step climbing should it be an issue for those attending. Adult beverages are similar to sport event pricing. $9-12 for a big beer. $15-18 for a double mixed drink. Getting into the event was a breeze. Departing with the masses was a bigger challenge.
Nice venue to watch a show. An entire afternoon and night though might be too much for this place to handle. It would get the full five '$, if they had a bigger vendor area.
I nerd out so hard here being a geologist. The tilted beds, the "Great Unconformity", the gorgeous amphitheater. Super cool stop even if you're not there for a show.
Amphitheatre out of red rocks..amazing view.. I wish to watch performances there sometimes in future..nice view.. the museum was great to know about its historical significance..must go place if you enjoy great view..
