Terrible experience Xmas eve. Written $150 with no verbal warning after straying off trail. Officer Churchill was threatening and lost in his own mind. Lil man with big ego and too much time on his hands. Stay clear of the area if want something more than a bunch of manicured paths, lots of people, roads, etc. Great for concerts just steer clear of parks staff. Far better trails and management up in flatirons and elsewhere. Boooo Denver parks and rec sucks!

Red Rocks is always amazing, one of the most beautiful spots in Colorado for live music. If you have a chance to see your favorite band go see them. Many musicians that play all they can talk about is how beautiful it is an honor to play at Red Rocks.

if you did not purchase the ticket, remember to arrive before 2pm, they will close for concert after that, you can park at the upper north parking lot, which is within walking distance.
The view is just great, and the acoustic is superb, blowing any theatre off the water, rock under the sky? why not.
They also have a small museum near the entrance, do not forget to check it out, you can see some old Beatles !

Red Rocks amphitheatre hosted concerts oh all the big ones. Beatles, Rolling Stones... you name it. It's a pleasure to walk among the red rocks that surround the stage and visit the hall of fame. I learned a lot from being there and I recommend a visit even if you just want to have a little work out climbing up and down the stairs. A wonderful experience.

Saw NF here and it was the best concert venue I've ever been to. I liked the place before we ever saw a show here. Just hiking and checking out the views is cool but now I love the place even more!

Best outdoor amphitheater in the United States! Great acoustics, amazingly beautiful surroundings! If you aren't physically able to climb steps, (a lot of them) make sure to park in the top lots which are lots 3&4. Highly recommend experiencing a concert there!!

I will start by saying the view and acoustics were AMAZING. With that said, this was by far my worst concert experience. I am not from Denver and seeing a concert at this venue was a dream. If I lived here, I'd probably never go again, fortunately the opporunity will likely never present itself again. There were quite a few significant issues that caused this dissatisfaction. First, the people in charge of parking weren't paying attention to how many cars they were letting into lots and the rows were extremely tight. Second, there was not a single individual that I saw to assist with seating or to give instructions. The concert we attended had general admission and reserved seating. We sat in two different spots only to be told each time that they were reserved, but there was no indication which was which aside from the actual tickets people had (reserved tickets had row and seat number but GA simply said GA). By the time we got up the second time, all of GA was filled and people were sitting on ledges, sidewalks, etc. It seemed that the concert was oversold by at least a few hundred tickets. Aside from not having enough seats for each person, this seems like a serious safety hazard. So, if you go, I would recommend getting there as early as possible and once you get in, ask someone to direct you to your seat so you don't have to stand behind a tree and a rude concert goer who was intentionally blocking our view for the entire concert.

There is debates on which outdoor amphitheater is the best venue. Red Rocks.
I recently visited The Gorge for a 3 day music festival that I only had tickets for 1 day. Ended up buying a second ticket to go back and visually take in what it had to offer. I grew up in Denver and have been to Red Rocks plenty of times, let's give The Gorge a fair shake.
Branch was shook, and although it was very impressive to have this venue located where it is because of the topography, Red Rocks itself is a stunning location if the only thing you're comparing is geological transformation of the earth with man made influence to create a venue with vistas. However, if you include the superior audio reverberations you feel from the rocks, there is only one place you must go for the number 1 live outdoor music experience. Red Rocks.

Awesome venue! Beautiful setting, a must see. But the seating it straight out of 1950 when everyone was skinny. People no longer fit in the seats, and they cramped 100 people in a row where only 80 fit. Had to keep taking turns shifting and standing because we had 1 foot for 2 people to sit in. They need to re number the seat spots so everyone can shoot at the same time. The uncomfortable situation made the beautiful setting less of a great experience

Just hanging out in the parking lot to pre-game a concert is magically. Stunning views, friendly people and free parking are just a few reasons to go. Now make your way to the amphitheater and becomes a whole different level of amazingness. You have to go to understand.

2nd time to Red Rocks but 1st time at concert. The whole experience was absolutely awesome!! The band and music were fantastic. Seeing the city at night from Red Rocks was something to behold! A must see on anyone's bucket list!!

What needs to be said about this special place? Has to have one of the worlds best venues to see your favorite band with a backdrop and foreground to die for. And it's so close to the city and on my way to work to hop off the road and take a nice hike and look into the foothills and over to the city.

Iconic.

Iconic.

Do I really have to say more?

Park in the Lower South Lot. It s close and that way you are walking downhill to your car after your fun evening.

Great park! Plenty of hiking trails and close to the city! Going on a weekday will mean less crowds. We saw several mule deer. Haven t been to a concert here, but I ve heard they are amazing!

I love concerts here, but you would think parking wouldn't be a fiasco after all these years. Got here at 5pm for a 7:30 show, and we had to park on the side of the road. Not ideal by a long shot, and potentially not safe. If you can get up to the upper north lot, do it, and check out the visitor center.

I flew all the way from Toronto to see a show at Red Rocks and it was such a magical experience. The venue was gorgeous and the sound was so crisp! The only thing is I wish the trails didn't close at 2pm on show days so that we could've done some hiking in the park before the concert

Red Rocks Lounge Dinner Show was great! Really enjoyed the music of J Calvin. The buffet dinner was delicious...prime rib, ham, au gratin potatoes, wild rice, wedge salad, desserts...and the backstage tour was really interesting and fun!

The best concert venue in the world! Insider technique: show up early for a concert to get a parking spot in the upper lots, so you don't have to climb up to the venue. It's a serious climb if you're not used to it otherwise. When you get there early pack a picnic and hang out with the rest of the early crowd!

What can you say about this place that hasn't been said? These photos show some unique perspective from the backstage viewpoints of onstage, behind the stage and side stage. The underground shot of a concrete looking staircase is a view from the tunnel to Front of House moving station, filled with autographs of performers, and others, over the past 75 years.
One panoramic shot was taken during soundcheck. There are some cool venues and then there is Red Rocks. Nothing like it in the world.

Red Rocks is an absolutely amazing, gorgeous venue - THE BEST - for any concert!!! The natural beauty of the rock formations overlooking the city of Denver combined with the open aired amphitheater and absolutely awesome sound system - you HAVE to experience it to fully appreciate it!!! It's definitely a MUST SEE for anyone passing through Colorado as well - just to truly take in the beauty of God's amazing creation!!!

Wonderful place to see a live show no matter what kind of music it maybe. The acoustics in this place is phenomenal! Dress accordingly to weather, remember your in the "mountains"
There is no cover for the audience so you'll be in the elements.

If you are visiting Denver then you must take the time for a visit. Gorgeous scenery, hiking paths and the Ampitheater is a marvel, almost breathtaking just like the surrounding landscape. This is written by a flatlander Minnesotan, a stark contrast from home!

This place is an amazing venue. If you have not been then make an effort to see something here. Even the movies are fun. Parking is never an issue but you have to be prepared to walk a distance and go up and down stairs. Wear comfortable shoes.
