It was cold and snowy, but it was awesome! I remember going to Red Rocks as a child and running up and down the amphitheater non-stop. It was a child's dream...to run wild, with our parents permission. It's still an awesome sight, even all these years later, and as beautiful as ever.

Red Rocks is an amazing venue. Really an unforgettable place to see a show. And beyond the venue itself, you're almost guaranteed to experience some beautiful clouds, sunset, moon, lightning, etc.
However, I'm disappointed in how the logistics of some shows have gone here - most recently the Nahko, Trevor Hall, Alya Nereo show last night. We got to the gate at 6:05 - 10 minutes before the listed start of the show. We knew we were pushing it a little on time, but didn't expect it would take until 7:20 to actually get inside! Yes, it took that long through a super slow parking process and then super slow security line, so we missed Ayla's set entirely & were disappointed. I don't understand why, upon realizing there was like a mile of cars and concertgoers waiting to get in, they didn't delay the start of her set. More importantly, I know it takes some time to walk from the lot to the venue, but they really need more staff to speed up the parking and security process. The lesson is this - expect shows to start EXACTLY when they say (I've never been to a concert before that was so punctual) and expect it to take an hour or more to get into a sold out show.

With the exception of the high high weed usage (the whole place smells like it all the time everywhere), this place is really great. The red rock makes the whole amphitheater really really beautiful. Cool place to go to for concerts, bleacher runs/exercises, and just chilling. There are also some trails to explore the surrounding areas red rocks.

By far our favorite venue. We usually see about 5 shows per year - we can't get enough! The views are unbeatable and the experience is epic. The natural acoustics of the location are incredible. This is also a good place to go hiking whether its on the trails or just on the steps of the amphitheater.

Great place for scenic views! While I haven't attended concerts here at the time of this review, I can attest to the beautiful views and good workout climbing up to the top of the amphitheater provides! Had fun wearing out my toddler and then going for icecream in the entrance to the museum. On concert days they make everyone leave the amphitheater premises in the early afternoon so it's best to go in the morning for sight seeing.

So, seriously, this place does not need a review. It speaks for itself and its reputation precedes it. Amazing, easy hikes, great spot to run stairs or walk them on your hands if you're so athletic. Wonderful concerts, amazing acoustics and the natural beauty as far as the eye can see ... just wow! You don't want to miss taking the opportunity to visit this venue.

The landscape is impressive and the shows seemed cool. We stopped by during a free show where the gymnasts and aerial silks people were practicing for a likely bigger show. It was very fun.

Wow. Just... Wow. Built from 1946-1951, this place is a beautiful sight to see. Even if there's not an artist playing, the majesty of this built by hand, outdoor theater is phenomenal. It's where pro athletes come to put in grueling exercise, every artist wants to perform due to the amazing acoustics and rights were want to check off their bucket list. Definitely a must visit, especially since it's free during non-performance hours.

Saw Mark Knopfler there tonight... More beautiful venue than words or pictures can describe...
Entrance was a little haphazard with the security guy answering the same question 500 times.... Just put up a notice!

Red Rocks is one of the sites you should visit when coming to Colorado. It's nice to see the rocks in the daylight when they're most striking, or during sunset when the warmth of the horizon mixes with that of the rocks, but the best experience will be going there for a concert or event. When going there just to see the rocks, it's certainly cool, but the experience is short and doesn't quite feel complete.

One of the best venues for concerts in Colorado, the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because parking and transportation is a issue there, especially since there's no shuttles after the concerts to take you to your car and some of the lots are very far away.

Absolutely awesome place! Very cool venue (didn't see a concert, but would love to in the future) with lots of people exercising and scenic views. So glad I visited. We even saw two deer walking around the red rocks!

Definitely a must see. Beautiful view, wonderful walk up to amphitheatre. The rock formations are incredible. You can park at bottom and enjoy a walk up. Note: there are some steps on the paths that are smooth rocks. We didn't slip, but ensure you can walk up or down different sized rock steps if you choose to walk up from the bottom (see pics). Or, you can drive all the way up. It's not as beautiful, but it gets you to the amphitheatre.

Best concert venue ever!! From the ticket workers to the clean washrooms this place is amazing. Lots of good food and beer sales in the seats. The sound is perfect in every part and the seats are a big improvement over little folding plastic chairs you are use to. And of course the setting and sights are a mind-blower!! I would rate at 10 stars if I could!!

Absolutely amazing venue for live music. So beautiful and the sound in that natural outdoor amphitheatre was incredible!
We did encounter a bit of a wind storm which actually affected the way the sound travelled around the seating area, but such is the risks you take going to an outdoor concert!
It is a bit of a trek to the top, but absolutely beautiful.

This is by far the best venue I have ever been to. No wonder it's world-renowned. The hiking trails near it are also beautiful.
What I love most is that it's open to the public even when there are no shows. It's a great place to get a work out in or to look at the city. I've also been there at night to look at the stars.
This place is truly magical. Whether it's the acoustics from the music coming from the stage to the view of the city, it is worth the visit whether or not there are any events going on.

Nice outdoor natural amphitheatre. Been there once for a concert and the acoustic was excellent. And visited a few more times as it's a scenic drive to go there. There is a small museum in visitor center which is informative and well designed.

The one and only.

The one and only.
Not much to say about this place, it's a legendary concert venue. The amenities are great, the sound is great, the atmosphere is off the charts. Go see a show if you can!

Incredible and world class venue. The views of such magnificence amplified the vibe of the crowd and of the performance. I've never experienced such sheer beauty mixed with the ambience of so many humans together in one place. This place has majestic history, magic mood setting potential, and may be the coolest place on earth to see a show.

The best concert venue in the world. Views of the entire front range, an amphitheater carved right into the mountain of red rocks, and the best acoustics you'll ever hear. With the long hike up. Saw Weird Al here the other night, and I'll never forget it. Gorgeous.

The views alone are worth making this location a bucket list item! Add music and any person is hooked. While attending a concert here is absolutely amazing, going when nothing is happening can be just as cool. It's completely free to go and walk around the amphitheatre and even up on stage. A cool event for kids and adults alike. There are several trails in the area to take advantage of the gorgeous rocks in and around the amphitheatre. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing by or looking to attend a concert here. It can be a several hour event to see a concert or a 25 minute stop on your way past. It's all up to you, regardless this is definitely a jaw dropper. Pictures just don't do it justice.

Free and open to the public when there isn't an event. Could use more signage on what to expect or where to go, but its understandable. The history inside is informative. Recommend the trading post for souvenirs. Can't wait to get there for a concert.

The venue itself was amazing, as was the sound quality. The employees were friendly but the parking was very disorganized and is the only reason for four instead of five stars. The overall experience was worth the trip from New Jersey.

This place has been here since 1908 and the center piece of history in music if you haven't seen it its a must visit bucket list!! And if you don't know be mindful of the dense oxygen levels and staying on the pathways please but by all means enjoy yourself in a slice of musical heaven!!
