What an awesome experience.

What an awesome experience.
We came to visit long beach from san Antonio texas ,and my kids absolutely love it ,what a great experience my 14 year old boy had the best time, not only for the aquarium, but where its located all the surrounding are so relaxing definitely a great experience. I just wish there where more fast food restaurants around the area, sometimes kids dont want to have a stake for lunch they want something fast so that they can keep enjoing the area . thanks and we will definitely visit again next time we come to long beach .

Very nice aquarium. Tha annual pass is a great deal if you plan to come at least 3 times per year, and includes some free parking passes to go with it. An excellent place to take the family with a lot of exhibits for kids of all ages to learn from

Wow where do I begin! What a fun day out, tons of interesting information that is both exciting and informational! Most of all, the hands on activities and exhibits are amazing! This aquarium is perfect for both kids, adults, entire families and even babies. There is enough to stay engaged and excited the entire time!

Pretty nice aquarium close to home not a bad price for the size. Spent about 45 minutes to see everything although it is kind of crowded. If you go to the welcome center and present your triple aaa card you'll get a coupon book and 1 hour free parking for pier 39 garage.

Aquarium of the Pacific is really cool, but I can only give it 4 stars because I've been to Monterey Bay Aquarium and that one is definitely a 5.

This aquarium has some beautiful exhibits and good hands on fun for kids and kids at heart. The lorikeet area is a great photo opportunity, but be warned: You might get pooped on. It's a real risk.

I like the way they divided the exhibits by region, like Baja or Northern Pacific. It really helps build a picture of each area's ecosystem and how different organisms interact with each other. For obvious reasons, the Shark Lagoon is kind of on its own outside. Some kid favorites are the sea otters, seals and the new penguins.

Kids might find the environmental/pollution exhibits boring, but give them a taste of it so they at least know why plastic bags in ocean = bad.

Speaking of bad, eat elsewhere. The food is pretty lame and overpriced. There are plenty of well known eateries in walking distance.

Prices are reasonable, but you can usually find coupons or deals online or in grocery stores.

Love it! The kids really loved it.

Jellies, sharks and rays. You get to touch small sharks and rays! How cool is that.

Well laid out. Park across the street in the garage and do yourself a favor and pay for parking at the window with the tickets that way you don't wait in line later.

Beautiful and lots of creatures, tanks and not overwhelming.

It s was a great experience, just that it was too pact, however the whole place was great! The staff were very friendly. I love the exhibitions, it s not as small as I would of imagined, it relatively big enough. I loved it.

This place was definitely lots of fun. Packed but everything in LA is... Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can touch sting rays, little sharks, jellyfish, and starfish. There was a long line for the starfish tank. There is a bird place that you have to wait in line for and pay to get into. That was weird. They had a 3D globe screen in one of their screening rooms that showed a mini documentary called "resilient cities" which is really the most positive way to spin that the world is overpopulated and we are destroying our health and our ecosystem for the sake of building buildings and fancy infrastructure (killing wildlife and ending authentic human connection)... Even after natural disasters happen we somehow insist on spending trillions of dollars (and our wellbeing) on rebuilding... Even my husband said it was depressing. Not sure what the takeaway of that was. But whatever. Overall the aquarium was fun and informative.

Very beautiful place to go with your family, children, friends, or significant other. I was lucky the company I am working for bought tickets for all of its employees, but the ticket price is around $30. You should also pay for the parking if you park in the parking structure that is next to the aquarium.

This was my first time here, I truly enjoyed my experience. I appreciate the hard work of the staff and volunteers. The animals looked happy, even the sharks were smiling . Thank you for the wonderful time and memories l. Will definitely return. Please make a bit more handicap accessible. I had a pretty difficult time getting around. I can't wait to return!

Best assortment of jellyfish I ve ever seen, they were amazing! The aquarium facility is large, kid friendly, well maintained and has a nice variety of exhibits. There are examples of fresh and salt water plants and animals. The penguins were especially interesting - their exhibit allows you to get a close-up view and their handlers give very informative briefings on a regular basis.

The Aquarium is celebrating their 20th anniversary this summer and there are so many fun things! We love the new day octopus and seeing the baby seal pup! There are scavenger hunts and contests to win tickets to return to the Aquarium. We love feeding the lorikeets and touching the sharks and rays in the touch pools!

Never get tired of visiting this Aquarium! I recommend getting the at opening or in the afternoon to avoid school field trips. Parking is directly across the street, be sure to get your parking ticket stamped to pay only $8. Lots of places to eat nearby or they have a cafe upstairs. Touch tanks outside are great and feeding the Lorikeets is an extra charge but so worth it!
