Great place to take the family or go on a date. Having their family annual membership was the best investment we made because we love coming here! Lots of educational activities and animals to see!!!

Went to the New Years Eve event here and it was fantastic!! Definitely reccomend it for next year! The lines at the bars were VERY long, even though they had several bars spread out throughout the venue. I would just recommend purchasing two drinks at a time (if they allow it) so you don't have to spend half the night waiting in line.

This is a small aquarium but is always a nice quick visit! Amazing up to date exhibits and always a nice staff. Can be packed sometimes but it doesn t mean anything you can still enjoy all the birds, fish, and other aquatic animals!
Can t wait for that new renovation project as well!

Lots to do and learn for kids and adults at the aquarium. Exhibits focus on conservation, and make you appreciate the diversity of marine life. They have scheduled live educational puppet shows for the kids, again, focused on conservation. A snack bar and a cafeteria-style food area in the building allows you to snack/have lunch to replenish energies and continue exploring. Highly recommend. Also, if you're a family of 4, and plan on visiting more than once, an annual pass is worth it (it pays for itself if you visit twice).

The aquarium was super crowded, and there was no organization. I understand that it is self guided there should still be some structure. My girls became bored and irritated very quick, as there were adults with no children standing in front of exhibits with no intention of moving.

For the cost of the tickets was hoping for more to see but was fairly quick to see and interact with everything and by lunch time was pretty packed with people, would recommend getting their early as to beat the crowds .

First, the parking - So Cal parking can be torture, but, I had no problems finding a parking spot in the structure that was fairly close to the aquarium.
Prices were great!
The aquariums were clean and full of life that most people would never be able to see in real life. There really was hundreds of fascinating species to learn about. I loved the mangrove pond.
There was a tiny little shark tank with 3 kinds of sharks in it that made me a little sad. And it would have been cool if there were presentations instead of just plaques to read.

Always a great place to take the kids. Alot of sea life and little activities throughout the park. There are shows and areas to touch sea life. They even have an area to feed birds. There are snacks you can purchase and even a restaurant in the park, but there are plenty of other restaurants near by. They do have promotional tickets online sometimes and that helps save money on tickets.

This place is great. I went for the first time the day after Thanksgiving and it was busy but not crazy crowded. The exhibits are fantastic and so are the shows. An added Bonus, if you are a Chase Private Client and you have the arts and entertainment card you get free admission for two. Pretty great as the aquarium is not inexpensive. I can't wait to go back and spend a lot more time looking at the Jellyfish.

Many exhibits in a tightly packed aquarium. At first it might seem like a small location but once you begin the tour you'll notice how many exhibits their are. It's Worth your time and cash and many spots to take pictures of.

Fun but make sure there is no classes on there feild trip they do not make sure people that just go there to see as a familey instead they just let all the kids run around and push you and then the people watching the kids just let it all happen so but was really cool place

It was a lovely place. I got really good pictures of all the animals the food was amazing just a little on the pricy side for me. I enjoyed everything the aquarium had to offer just smaller than I anticipated but as an African American woman, I loved that they celebrated Black History month.

If you're really into Marine Life it's a great place to visit. They give a lot of info about the marine life as well as the environments they live in. Great for families and educational purposes as well as photographers

Great aquarium. Right next a beautiful park. Parking can negate any coupons you may have on the entrance fee. Lost of exhibitions and are kept rotating to keep things interesting for the fish. My favorite thing here is when the scuba divers go in the tank and allow the visitors to watch then work. They have alot of play areas and touch areas. Take your own lunch because the food here is horribly overpriced. 10 dollars for two chicken tenders and some 50 cent quality crinkle cut fries.

Long Beach has a real treasure right in your own backyard. This place is world class and growing. They are so good at caring and breeding that they can trade for new fish and creatures every year. And do just that. Your benefit. New features all the time. Never gets old. Cannot wait to see how the new and only baby Black sea bass in american aquariums is doing I am sure they will breed more this year. A remarkable achievement never done before anywhere. Otters, penguin s seals, birds, turtles, sharks,Steelhead. Have fun and add to your knowledge too. See ya there.

Best aquarium in the LA area. Great programs, good is good, ample parking. Super family friendly with lots of events. Wonderful place to being small kids to be amazed at the animals. Really looking forward to the expansion. Our family does the annual membership and it's so worth the price - lots of value! One of our favorite places.

What a disappointment. We've been here in the past, as in 10 years ago, I don't remember it being so awful. It's dirty! Every piece of glass on every aquarium is just covered with streaky finger marks! Really clouds it up and ruins pictures. I'm glad we paid a discounted rate as part of their summer late hours promotion. I honestly can say that the aquarium at Legoland is better, but a long shot! The only bright spots were the adorable sea lions and sea otters.

$8 parking
$xx entrance forgot ($30)

The underwater hallway was great. I enjoyed the seal diving around. They seem like dogs alright. Aware of people watching and seem to be playful.

Looking at many of the California sea life was good. Great family place or for kids to expand their mind.

The price for a ticket is 29 for an adult and to get to in with a cup of nectar for the lorikeet site, it's an extra 4 dollars otherwise if you don't want to feed the birds its free. Lots to see. They also validate parking. Instead of paying 15, its 8 when you go to the aquarium.

I've been here quite a few times. I have 4 yr old who loves it. This was the first yr he wasnt afraid of the lorikeets. If your able bring about $8 cash so you can feed them. It's definitely fun. Jis cousin came on this trip and he's 2. He had alot of fun. The cafe is a little over priced. They moved the moon jellyfish that you can touch outside which actually works better if you or your little ones want to touch.
