We went for teacher appreciation month and we had a blast. It was a Sunday, so it was definitely crowded, but nothing we couldn t handle. The upstairs area wasn t as crowded as downstairs, so if you need a little relief from the crowds, that will be your best bet.
I love the aquarium but the price was really expensive ( cost close to 100$) and so flooded with people we couldn't enjoy ourselves.
Geat place to explore about all the fishes from the Ocean ! Kids love it!!

Very good aquarium and nicely done. Only reduced one star, because of two topics. The bird cage at the shark lagoon is very weird. They let people in with food, but you are not allowed to have them on your arm/hand? Yes they bite a bit. Also the most spots with special attractions like feeding are impossible to attend with kids. They are built so small and not designed for that crowds of people. But you can pet a lot more: jellyfish, rays, sharks, ...
Cool place to spend about an hour. Not really worth spending all day here. Nice exhibits.

Beautiful place. Things are very well kept but the crowds are a little large. Do your best to go during the week to avoid crowds and be able to see all the exhibits at your own pace.
One of the best aquariums I've been to. So fun. Lots to see and touch.
Took my son here for the first ever and he loved it. His favorite part was petting the sharks.

Fun place to take family and meet ocean creatures up close. Like sharks, frogs, birds, sting rays and sea lions.
Although the inside areas are all closed, there are still some fun activities to do with the family. The petting pools and fedding the birds and jellyfish are still open. Social distancing and masks are being enforced. However some of the visitors do not follow the 6 feet rule.

Pretty disappointing. I suppose any place that has wild animals in captivity will be, BUT there is a very limited number of different aquatic animals. I saw the entire aquarium in less than 2 hours and most of the displays are...dated? Maybe not the best descriptor but this place just got a makeover and it needs another overhaul already. Go with a coupon if you can cause no one should pay full price for a visit.

My baby girl loves going to the aquarium. The fish tanks are huge. They have 3 touch tanks that are great for children and adults. Two tanks have live diver shows about 3 times a day. This is where they will go in to the tank and talk about the fish while feeding them.
The only aquarium I have been to that is better is the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
The Lorikeet Forest and the Moon Jelly touch pool are such amazing experiences. The staff and volunteers are all so friendly and the animals are all very energetic.
Great experience with my family. The kids loved it, we found Bob the diver n got a prize n some free tickets. Good prices plenty of things to see. Definitely coming back.

Awsome place to take the family. Plenty of exhibits inside and outside as well. You will have to get a voucher for parking in the parking structure. But its a great place to relax and enjoy time with family and friends.

Very crowded today, congested with strollers, very hard to get around and enjoy our time here. Did get to see the seal and sea lion show but had to grab a seat about 45 minutes before the show actually started.
The Aquarium of the Pacific is a great museum to see live fish and learn about the ocean. Even though, it might look small from the outside, it is 2 floors with an outside courtyard filled with animals. There are lots of type of fish, frogs, and water mammals to see. The place is very interactive and a good place for kids to learn about the ocean. My favorite parts are the shark lagoon, the penguins, and the sea otters. There is a lot of jellyfish that it feels after seeing one you have seen them all. Overall, the place is very cool and it s fun to be able to see the animals living in the ocean.
Well my opinion, it was fine but I think i paid to much for what they really have to offer it wasn't so spectacular as I expected.. but the view to the light house is cool tho !!

The seal and sea lions exhibit was berry active, they have many viewing windows and a couple of tunnels so you feel fully immersed.
Awesome place for kids and adults. Being able to touch the sharks and jellyfish is an awesome experience. Also the seal show is amazing and best of all feeding the Manta Ray's. Highly reccomend!

Clean and open area with great views of the harbor. May seem small from outside but large inside.
Small enough to get around easily but with all the attractions to keep the attention of the kids. The petting tanks are a hit with the little ones

Nice and small aquarium in Long Beach. I would recommend paying a visit on one of the evenings they are opened so you avoid the crowds.
Extremely crowded and not enough fish for such a nice city aquarium as Long Beach. For the price you can get better value elsewhere. :(
Been a long time since I visited, and went with my husband recently, it was his first time. The awe in his eyes brought me back to when I was a kid with the same look on my face.

Really enjoyed it. Haven't been here in many years, so was pleasantly surprised how much there was to see. Not as large as some aquariums we have seen, but quite adequate. Some spectacular fish too!
Very little to see and for the price I would suggest you go to the LA Zoo you'll get your moneys worth and see more animals, the staff is friendly and amazing shout out to the sweetheart who did my caricature, loved it soo much
I love this place, yes it can be a bit crowded but that's because it's so cool. I suggest bringing a towel and a change of shirt for the water area.

Really fun! My suggestion would be to add arrows on the ground in the beginning to guide tourists.. its sort of confusing where to go after you buy your ticket. Thoroughly enjoyed the aquarium though. Well maintained and the animals look great.

The aquarium was nice and the pricing was reasonable, for so cal.
The parking garage elevator's we're horrible! I brought my mother who is in a wheelchair and we waited over 15mins for an elevator. The problem is with the programming of the elevator, we were on the 5th floor and 7 or 8 times the elevator came up full of people wanting to go down. Park somewhere else!
We love it here! My 3 year old son loves seeing all the exibits and the touch tanks. They have an outdoor area where the kids can okay and shoot water at each other. They give you a booklet when you arrive and there have a stamp embosser in a bunch of the areas to stamp your book. I do not recommend the restaurant unless you have something I never have with my 3 year old...lots of time. Even when it isn't crowded you're likely to be waiting 30 minutes for a simple hotdog. There are booths in the restuarant where you can see the sea lions and seals from which is cool. You can eat your own food you brought in there and they have outdoor seating as well. We got passes for the year, if you have a pass you can buy half price parking vouchers and receive a discount in the gift shop and other exibits. It is especially nice in the summer because they crank the ac!
I used to come here a lot as a kid. I bring my kids here and they love it. It's good that it's got to be full-circle.

Really good for kids and even take friends visiting. Not as big and can finish within an hour. After wards explore the nice walks and restaurants around.

I am my husband went for the holidays and surprisingly it was not packed they offered a menu buffet For good old Turkey day unlimited buffet was the best only $30 plus $30 to get in it was an awesome time it was not overcrowd it Will definitely be returning

Ahhh, the power of Facebook and deleting comments, of course, they can't do that on Google which is SWARMED with bad reviews. Considering this is a fish tank prison, you'd think after their disgusting drag shows they'd have a few protests.
At this aquarium you learn so much. Volunteers are everywhere to help and answer questions. There are plenty of exhibits to see and even some to touch. My kids love coming here too. Ages 2-12. I love coming here.
Always a fun day out and I love the fact that you can interact with Life fish and animals and can actually pets baby shark and rays which is a very cool experience ! It is a bit pricey and can get very busy over the summer but it's a cool place to kick back a few hours and very informative
Suggest for everyone to go as soon. As they open because the lines are very long overall love coming here with the family

I loved this aquarium, it's quite big so take your time to enjoy each tank and exhibition.
I bought the tickets via Tiqets app and skipped one hour line (plus it was a bit cheaper).
Parking available just in front of the aquarium. If you're staying longer than 4 hours then you can validate your parking ticket before you leave the aquarium and you pay only $8
Good collection of fish. Got to touch jelly fish which don't sting! Jelly fish which glow in the dark looked cool! There were sting rays and some sharks too. But some areas were closed, probably due to winter. Food court served good food for regular price. Usually such places offer tasteless expensive food.
Awesome place to take your kids, or to just go yourself! A lot of shows and things to do and see.
Everyone is friendly that works there. Great prices. Small but worth it. Kid friendly things to do.
