The Aquarium of the Pacific is nice to visit when in the area, but I would rather spend the admission fee on the whale watching trip where I can see the animals in their natural habitat. The boat leaves from right across the Aquarium of the Pacific. The aquarium is very good for student field trips geared towards learning about marine life because there are no rides to distract the student's attention from the animals.
Great place to see animals you hardly ever get to see
Its better to go during the week, impossible to get parking or see much of the exhibits without getting hit by strollers
Great place for kids and family to relax and tour the ocean fishes and animals. Lot of restaurants and shops Closed by the aquarium.
Amazing. Great place to explore. Nice for a first date.
Ideal getaway for parents with restless toddlers. We have a 2 yr old and this is his default destination for holiday weekends.. The place itself isn't big but the volunteers are really nice and helpful with the information. With the long beach pier right next to.it, this makes for an ideal day trip.
Very fun and educational. Great place for kids and adults. Our favorite part was the seal demonstration.
Fun fun fun fun.. fun for all ages. It's cheaper to buy your tickets online. Almost half the price online.
Really like it. The jelly fish are awesome. However, for the amount of hype it receives, it feels kind of small.
It's a nice aquarium, medium size, not to big, my husband and I are seniors and it was easy to navigate
Hands on fun for my toddler. We anticipate the reopening, and look forward to more great times here!
My kids enjoyed their day. We didn t even want to leave.
Fun times at a decent price. Lots of other things here as well
Free entry and fundraiser after attending the 2018 Scuba diving show.
Very fun!! I have been here multiple times and each time was great. There are many animals to look at and things to do.
A very small and average aquarium, nothing too out of the ordinary. I was surprised when I realized I had seen everything there in about an hour and a half.
They should consider a day/time where only adults above 21 are allowed
Just the perfect sized aquarium for this area. Don't miss the outside jellyfish exhibit where you can actually touch jellies! Its kinda of tucked around the cirner so it's easy to miss ground level outside
It's a great place to visit. Lots of exhibits and kid friendly activities. A pain for having a kid in a wheelchair though; the elevators are tiny. Parking always tough and worse tiny elevators that take forever in the parking lot.
Small but very nice. The size is a plus because you will see it all without walking too much.
Really enjoyed our time here. It was very busy but there were so many touch pools that it seemed like we could always find something to do. Huge tanks and a fun scavenger hunt for kids to find all the stamps in their guidebooks.
Beautiful place with many things to see. This is definitely a fun educational trip that i would recommend. My 3 year old Loved it here and it kept her busy and entertained, which is nearly impossible to do since she has tons of energy and hardly anything intrigues her. Overall amazing beautiful place with tons to see.
I enjoyed my day here. It's small but there are so many different tanks and so many different environments they've done a great job
This is an awesome place!! Sorry my phone ran out of video room!
I have never been there until a couple of days ago...LOVED IT...
My husband and I visited the Aquarium for the first time yesterday. We enjoyed the exhibits, and we got to see some of the diving staff members feeding the fish inside the bigger tanks. They had a few Touch Tanks where we could pet some rays, small sharks, and jellyfish. They had a video presentation about the impact of Fukushima radiation on ocean life and how it affects us as humans; it was projected onto a spherical screen; between showings, they projected a representation of 24-hour global air traffic onto the sphere.
Aquarium of the Pacific Is great when you have the right COUPON!! I got an awesome coupon recently from a site called CitySavver that saved me 40% off my admissions. I've waited to go here for a long time and haven't had the chance.
This place has everything you can imagine when it comes to sea living creatures. From flashlight fish to electric eels to sharks you can pet if you can name it they got it. My kids loved this place too they were so busy steering in the tanks and we got to take Great pics!!
Six thumbs up! (There's 3 of us in our family.) I'm not usually in favor of zoos and aquariums, but this place does a tremendous job of not only taking care of their animals, but providing a really vibrant and interactive learning environment and participating in conservation and rehabilitation programs all over the world.
We also really love their member events; some of the photos here are from their Thanksgiving brunch. Unlike traditional stressful and dysfunctional holiday meals (at least with some of my relatives...), this was extremely relaxed and the weather was perfect for an outdoor feast. The museum also has plenty of parking ($8), and they're in the process of a huge new wing. We're looking forward to it!
A good place to spend time with kids learning about sea life
Our baby's first visit. She enjoyed it. She is one and fish are her life already. We also purchased the family pack, so we will be back with our other children.
Great place for a great time! I love the touch tanks and the sea jellies!
Very interesting aquarium, lots of sea creatures to see. It's a tourist spot with lots to go around the area.
A wonderful way to spend a day! Even though only the outside exhibits were open, it was still entertaining. Thank you for also lowering your prices to reflect the decrease of exhibits. I wish other attractions would do that! The Staff was friendly and informative and with a little extra for a whale watching tour, it made for a great day!
Just left after an hour because there wasn t anything interesting. Website is deceptive on their exhibits.
Huge, beautiful aquarium. You can really tell they care about the animals there, there's even a touch pool with jellyfish and sharks
Awesome place for whole family. A lot of local marine wildlife. Cafe is nice with good coffee.
The Aquarium is a fun way to spend 4 - 5 hours learning about all kinds if aquatic animals. Their exhibits for the seals and seal lion along with the otters is magnificent. You are greeting by an enormous hanging whale from above and from there there are a plethora of exhibits to see from seahorses to reef triggerfish.
There is plenty of parking and they will validate your parking too. So for those that come without kids the parking is good until midnight plenty of time to walk around the area and grab a bite to eat. You will not be disappointed!
Awesome place to visit. You can learn so much and so many interesting things to see and do.
Amazing place for the kids and family. My children loved it !
Amazing touch tanks... some of the best in the world.
It's gotten alot better since I last went a few years ago
Great place ever..u learn alot n teach us about other lifes out there in the earth..
Best family place. Love my membership cuz I can sneak in for an hour at end of day and just enjoy fish. Educational, colorful and relaxing.
A very nice aquatic learning experience for everyone. Very educational and very amazing. Looking forward to the next visit!
Amazing Place Super fun for the kids and wonderful to touch the Mandarin and sharks and jellyfish
Awesome experience tons of cool fish and lots to do!
Went on a holiday and it was jam packed. People constantly cutting in front of each other. I would advise not to go during a busy holiday or weekend.
It's a great place to visit. The Varieties of jelly fish is extraordinary. The small cafe, large gift store, puppet show are all interesting.
Pretty good Aquarium. Lots to do.Don't go during the school week . It get crazy!
Only outside areas are open so it's cheaper than usual. It was still nice and the facility is clean. Make sure to get a reservation.
Such a beautiful place, and nice learning experience for children.
The Aquarium itself is pretty awesome, we were disappointed by the size though. We were done after approx. 1 1/2 hours. There were a lot of children with their parents and the Aquarium made the impression that it's mainly made for younger children.
Absolutely amazing and fun for kids. It s clean and the variety of sea life is incredible
Very educational, and friendly staff, great experience!!
It is a good place for the whole family. I was disappointed that it doesn't provide information in other languages. It misses an opportunity to reach the non English speaking minorities in southern California. It would be an opportunity to introduce science to children and their parents.
It was really nice place. People who work here are so nice, friendly and well trained in their areas. The knowledge they have to talk and teach on certain areas was great. Really enjoyed my time there. It was remarkable visit and it was beautiful sight seeing.
Went with my kiddies and bestfirend and her girls.. We all had a blast. Our favorite part was touching the jellyfish. So fun learning and seeing sea life.
Really enjoyably place to vist and noproft so your money goes back into the aquarium.
Great place to bring the family. Location is great near a park and restaurants.
This aquarium had more to offer than the one here in Va Beach.
This aquarium is okay, but it is very small.. wishing that they had more exciting exhibits, and more animals
Beautiful place to visit. But beware if going in holidays and weekends as it gets quite crowded. Kids with special needs and autism might suffer even though they like the fish...yhry tend to get iver stimulated by the crowds.
Very educational. Moderately priced. Offers a simple cafe for quick bite & a retail store for kids.
Great excitement and learning experience for the family.
Fun place to take your family. Lots of things to see.
Fun day with lots of exhibits - but it's hard not to compare to larger aquariums. The friendly staff & volunteers REALLY make this place both kid and adult friendly.
One of the best aquariums on the west coast. A lot of variety and a great staff on hand to educate you about the animals. It's not quite as big as the Monterey Bay aquarium, but there are still a lot of things to do. Much better than the Seattle and Birch Aquariums in my opinion.
Great Aquarium! Lots of interesting things to see and learn from.
Great place to visit with the family. Fun night out!
Very good, educational place with diverse creatures too see and touch
Beautiful and unique atmosphere! Enjoy learning about the ocean, viewing and touching the assorted marine life and they have most intriguing gift shop!
Honestly It's a little boring. No much to do, very little of fun activities
In Long Beach early for an industry conference and some colleagues and I decided to tour the town. We walked over to the Aquarium of the Pacific and spent half a day there. The interactive nature of the aquarium was enjoyed by everyone in our group. We were there on a busy Sunday in the summer, but even with the crowds it was still enjoyable.
Such an amazing aquarium! I just wish the prices were more affordable for our of towners.
Extraordinary experience for children to learn at this establishment!
Great Family Spot- Good Mix Of Shows & Exhibits For All Ages
Pretty good. Very expensive for mid level experience.
