Very busy on gorgeous fall weekends. Lots to do for kids (corn pit, maze, cow train, apple cannon, zip line). Great apple picking. Also have apple tasting so you know what you like before you buy. Lines get long for food and to buy apples and other products. They do a pretty good job of keeping the crowds moving. Love this orchard! Will be back!

Wonderful variety of things to do and see. Kids have a lot of fun. Food is yummy! Could use some staff monitoring parking lots on busy weekends. Vehicles were getting stuck and boxed in by others.

We have been going to Apple Jack Orchard every year for the past few years, and was disappointed to find that there s now a fee just to get in that s new this year (2019). We already pay a premium to pick our own apples, so it s frustrating to have to pay more for the privilege to do so. For kids it makes sense, since they can do away with tickets for little ones with short attention spans. But seems a bit .. greedy? .. to charge adults. Maybe that s just my opinion since we don t actually do the activities that used to be ticketed. But that said, the apples are good and it s always a fun outing so we will likely be coming back (but likely 1 visit now versus 2 we did previously when we would come back for pumpkins).

Very nice orchard on the west side of the cities. Not many choices on this side of town to go to so glad this is a good option. Lots of space for parking and the area is quite extensive for lots of people to spread out, especially during these times. Prices are reasonable. I wonder why you need to pay to pick apples when you still have to pay regular per pound price for the apples but that's the only thing I would question. For a first visit, it was a positive one.

This place was really great, but it's super packed, pick your own apples is stupid expensive, the mosquitoes were horrendous. The kids all loved it, though. Plenty for them to do for a whole afternoon.

Fun

I love Apple Jack Orchards. We always make at least 1 visit a year. I have to keep stocked up on my apple butter and honey! The kids have so much fun every year, between shooting apples, caramels, and honey sticks it is one of our absolute favorite places to go annually.

We go back every year. Apple snacks are in minimal variety, but what's there is done well. Neat, simple activities for the kids that are slightly overpriced. Overall, this is a solid recommend.

Extremely disappointed!! Went yesterday and there was no picking of apples. We could not find any tree that had apples to pick they were all on the ground. Also the staff who im sure was suppose to be monitoring the jumping pillow and corn pit did no such thing. They were not checking for wrist bands or asking for tickets. It was a free for all and kids were doing what they want while parents sat around chatting. Clearly signs showing what kids could and couldn t do and both parents and staff ignored. No limintation on these items either so we could have played in the corn pit all day. The jumping pillow was a total disaster big/little kids all jumping in the same area so accidents waiting to happen. Would be nicer to have a section for the smaller children so they are not flying up in the air. Wagon ride was ok, but didn t really see much. Lady mention there were animals on the Orchard but we couldn t find any. Overall just a really bad experience and will not go back.

Only good thing was the pumpkin selection and the apple donuts. Did not visit the cafe.

Was once a great family friendly place to go, but now is INCREDIBLY money hungry... they charge adults to watch their children (including the elderly and those that are pregnant). It has become a business rather the an activity. I will NEVER come back.

ALSO the employ children and very fee adults... Anything to make money i guess

I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the overall experience. They did have fun activities and good food; However, they robbed me of my entire days funding within a half hour. They charge general admission now, your ability to access the apples, THEN charge for the apples themselves..... they also have a child workforce, probably to save a quick buck.

I will go elsewhere next year

This was my families favorite orchard to visit every fall but now they charge $15 admission to the orchard which is too expensive. My young kids are too little to do all the activities so it is not worth it. Plus $5 adult entrance fee on top of paying for apples and any other snacks you want. Sad to say we will have to find a new orchard next year.

Our family LOVES Apple Jacks! My son is always so excited to go there. Lots of fun things for kids to do in the fall, particularly I'd say ages 1-7 (although we've seen plenty of older kids enjoying themselves as well). Corn pit, bouncy thing, zip lines, apple cannon, wagon and tractor rides, animals... not to mention delicious apples and baked goods! Worth the drive out. A great place for families to visit! Just note that they are seasonal so check their website before going.

Last visit a couple of years 5 stars. Now you must pay a $5 fee to get in and food prices have gone up too. Ran out of time to see if apple prices went up. They do have more activites for kids than before but you either pay per activity or $15 for a wrist band. With the increase in prices and comparatively High entrance fee, it's more expensive than other orchards. We've only been to one or two Orchards that actually charge an entrance fee but it's only ever been $2 and then some of the activities were free.
It has a couple of unique features like being able to look at the river, apple canon and kids zipline.
It's a good orchard just overpriced.
Please note the orchard has a highway running between where you park / get food and where you pick apples/ most the activities. Both times we went there was an officer assisting with crossing traffic.

This was a fun orchard to take our baby to about 4 years ago! Animals, wagon rides, pumpkins, there s something for everyone. The only challenge was crossing the road to the other side of the farm.

I take my grandangel every year. We pick apples, play in the corn with buckets and shovels, play on the big bounces pillow, go on the hayride , pick out pumpkins and the we go inside and get a bite to eat before going on to buy apple bread, apple donuts, apple dumplings and I can't leave without my husband's apple pie. It's a good time!

Absolutely love Apple Jack Orchards! It's the perfect fall getaway with something for the whole family! The corn pit, apple cannon, corn maze, and tractor ride are just a few of our favorites. Nothing can beat their mouth watering apples and bakery....apple cinnamon donuts are to die for!!

$5 per person just to get in the door not including paying for the kids to do activities and paying for apples. Pretty disappointed to see them charging for admission now when every single possible activity costs money as well and the apples aren t exactly cheap either. For a family of 6 it would cost us $30 just to get in and then another $10 per kid for attractions plus whatever we spend on apples. We walked away and decided that is the end of our Apple Jacks tradition.

Well organized and enough to do. Nice gift shop and bakery. We enjoyed an apple float and an apple fritter. We got to pick our own apples for a $5.00 entry fee. We enjoyed the corn maze, too. Employees were not wearing masks at all time and that made us feel a little uncomfortable.

Me and my wife just had our wedding here. It was absolutely marvelous. The owners were so accommodating! They helped us all the way until the day of the ceremony and on the day! The property is such a dream! A river out back, rustic cool barn space, and of course, apple orchards! Very very affordable! would recommend owners Matt and Jill's orchard to anyone and everyone who want to go for big events, little events, or just good old apple orchard fun!

This place was so much fun. It was crazy busy but it was the first weekend of October. The apples were so good and the honeycrisp are to die for. They have every apple dessert to buy. It was a lot of fun and very very family friendly. A+ rating of this place

It was nice and peaceful. Employees where really friendly. The apple butter, apple bread & the apples are great.

My neighbor and I had a good lunch.
If you like chicken wild rice soup get a nice hot bowl of this soup...

It was nice and quiet. Hope to be back next year.

Pick your own product. Shoot the apple cannon at targets. Train travels through the back of the property. Delicious eats and drinks (NON ALCOHOLIC). Enormous variety of foods to eat there or take home. Plenty of activities for the family to spend hours here.

Kinda a joke. They close at 5:00 to 5:30, NOT 6:00. Nothing stocked very well. Came to spend some $$$ and left to spend it at another orchard thankfully. The kids working there all look like they hate life...and their job. I gave one star because it's better than some. But over all very Sad.

The activities are great for families & they have a nice little shop & restaurant area... however no apples on an apple farm? Disappointed we didn't get to pick apples.. on the other hand the pumpkin patch was abundant & the place was baby friendly!

My family has always made it a point to go multiple times every fall to Apple Jacks Orchard for the past decade. It s always a good time, they have great food and a great atmosphere!
Just this year, they started charging for wrist bands for the kids to do all the fun activities which is totally fine. The only thing I thought was excessive was that at the gate they charge a $5 fee for the adults as well. I was very annoyed because I explained that I m pregnant, I won t be doing anything but watching my daughter enjoy the fun spoils of the orchard and they still made me pay for myself.
My thought is if they still want to charge for tractor rides and picking apples then people can purchase that at the snack shack or by the tractor rides.

I went yesterday and never going back. Didn't even make it in! The line for parking was really long. Waited for 2 hours. There isn't anyone there to direct for parking. People are everywhere, there isn't anyone to direct the traffic. They need better parking. Not happy at all.

Nice and family friendly but they are so over crowded when you go to buy. It would be nice if they had another check out for just apples and pies, or take orders prior to the counter. Hope they brainstorm how to get better!

Unnecessary charges and over -commercialized to milk every penny from customers.. As everyone else has shared, charging $5 per adult at the gate just to watch their kids play in the corn pit is an unnecessary charge.

Our children just wanted to play in the corn pit and the charge is $15 for all access. You could used to pay a couple bucks to pick and choose activities. But $30 for two children to play in a corn pit is a bit over the top.

Charging to pick apples, plus charging for the apples is also an unnecessary charge.

The Apple Jacks owners need to stop penny pinching and re-think how they do business next season.

Lots of fun for kids! My kid loved the corn pit, the corn maze is really big and there are lots of fun things to do. Pick your own apples were a bit expensive but worth it because of all the activities in there
