Dinner was excellent, service top notch and a beautiful setting.
Dinner was excellent, service top notch and a beautiful setting.
Great atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The Food was good but not great.
Great place, service was awesome, staff was friendly, room was nice and we had our own hot tub! Restaurant food was great and our overall experience was great. So, if you are wondering why only four stars, it was because the bed was very very firm and not comfortable at all but we are spoiled because we sleep on a sleep number bed at home. Other than that it's an awesome place to stay. Now if you like firm beds then it would be a five star for you, just not for us.
I've been to the restaurant many times and have always enjoyed the food. I've never stayed at the hotel but it looks cute. The gift shop is attached to the restaurant and is really charming. I've always enjoyed the food at the restaurant, and they have a little bakery area where you can buy sweets to go. Only 4 stars because the last couple of times we went, the service was pretty slow. The place was busy so I do understand, but the waiter kept walking by our table and completely ignored us.
was not very good I had eggs Benedict eggs were over cooked ham was cold in the middle and the waitress says oh I'm sorry you should have let me know. It's kinda hard to when she's not around. My husband's eggs were under cooked whites were not done. We wont come back.
We enjoyed breakfast at the Apple Farm Restaurant. Everything was good, but the apple sausage was amazing. They also have Boysenberry spread and apple butter that are made in house that are both pretty good as well. The waiter was attentive without being overbearing.
Amazing staff, very accommodating for a family with an active child. The food is okay. We had turkey pot pie and a wedge salad. Neither were anything special or original, but it did the trick.
My family and I LOVE the Christmas decor, hot cocoa/cider in the lobby, daily guest reception, holiday festivities... pretty much everything about the Apple Farm inn, gift shop and restaurant! So much that we made it a tradition to visit almost every December for the past 10+ years!!
I love Apple Farm. The restaurant serves good food. The gift shop has lots of great items for gifts and the kitchen. Parking spots are tight. And the reason for taking off a star is that if you want to buy apple juice to go, both the restaurant and gift shop bounces you between the two as they figure out if it's in stock and where it is. They used to have a 2nd little shop which sold the juice, but they closed it.
Great atmosphere, beautiful country decorations and cute gift shop
Though I have been here many times to purchase baked goods, this was my first time eating in the restaurant. It did not disappoint.
I had the SLO omelette which was loaded with fresh veggies, along with a side of chicken apple sausage. My husband had the potato pancakes and our friend had the breakfast hash. Everything was delicious! The best part of the meal was the fresh, warm apple muffins that were served with boysenberry jam. Our server was very nice, welcoming, and accommodating. She provide wonderful customer service. I might have to stop in for a meal everytime I'm in SLO! Thank you for a wonderful brunch experience, Apple Farm!
Very cute place and shop. Decent food, really good price
The waiter was really helpful. I'm lactose intolerant and the waiter listed options that I could use. Their steak was delicious and their salads have a lot of flavor.
Great place to stay love lisa at the front desk she's very kind...
After following the signs about apple dumplings.....they were out of Apple Dumplings at 10:30 in the morning. Next they wouldn't let us pay for apple butter in the bakery cash register. Will not go back. Dated and dusty old place.
Definitely my family s favorite inn.
We have stayed here every time we visit the central coast in California. The place is well maintained, with very clean rooms, as observed from the carpet, and well decorated corridors. The lobby has been renovated since our last visit, and we really like the current openness. Warm apple cider, coffee and tea are served free in the afternoon, which is especially heartwarming in winter. We just love every corner of it, even at nights.
Made reservations for two, we showed up a little early and we able togetseated right away. She had pot roast and I had double cut pork chops we both enjoyed our food and the waitress was spot on
Great as always. Shelly in the gift shop is awesome !!
This place has great breakfast food. It's a very traditional American style breakfast place. They make most, if not everything, from scratch.
This hotel is excellent. You must stop there. Very warm welcome and everything is impeccable.
Always a fun atmosphere to visit. The menu is really large and the food is cooked perfectly.
Warm and serene environment! Very welcoming to all!!
This is one of the nicest hotels . Friendly staff and rooms are impeccable!!! Who ever was the interior designer did it top notch. Wine hour was fun . Allot of personal touches though out. Great restaurant , Gift Shop. If u go to San Luis Obispo stay here! Complimentary Coffee, Tea and cookies in the lobby.
. Nothing special about the food the service was fine setting with fine but again the food was just blase not sure what type you would call this but I'd rather dine Elsewhere for authentic food the seems cafeteria like
Lovely Inn with cozy restaurant. Also a convenient location to Cal Poly, Mission and Downtown
The food was SO fresh and delicious! It was just what we needed in the last leg of a long driving trip!
Lovely hotel decorated for Christmas! Country style rooms with fireplace. Wonderful restaurant, gift shop.
Trellis court room is tiny compared to the Inn rooms, but still cozy and comfortable.
A highlight on our tour through the West. Very loving, cozy and romantic farm. We recommend spending more than one night there. Room with private jacuzzi. In-house bakery with goodies. Everything In two words: a dream !!
They have farm to table ingredients but microwave there potpoes to temp
Nothing has really changed here in the last 25 years. They have maintained things well and the people are very nice.
Lovely food. This is the Boysenberry Cobbler with Vanilla ice cream. Delicious
What a lovely inn this is. Always a special treat when we can go. Great service and accommodations.
we're just in for lunch this time have stayed there in the past good portions got to have something from the desert list made with apples everything on the desert list is fat free. That means the fat is free
The service was great! We were there for my friends birthday, and they made sure that we were always taken care of and made her feel special. The food was amazing, as always.
We last came just before Thanksgiving 9 years ago, glad to be back again.
we stopped I'm to get desert to take to a family dinner. we got carrot cake a whole one. some shortbread cookies, and some snickerdoodles. And I attempted to buy some of their old fashioned candy sticks in a few flavors. only thing is you can't pay for them at the same register you pay for you to go desert order. no you have to go to another part of the business down some stairs around a contract just to buy them. "They are nothe on the same system we were told." huh? how hard is it to add another category to the digital register already used so people could pay for that item right by where they were sold. dumb. needless to say I just put the candy back. overall though the desert and cookies were freaking so delicious. they really do make the best cares and cookies. now if they could just get it together regarding the cash register.
I had a great experience at Apple Farm. I was greeted with a smile, and offered cookies at check in. For dinner I ate at thir resturaut, where the food was fantastic. Although I only stayed one night, it was one of the best hotel experiences ice ever had.
We've tried Apple Farm several times based on friends' recommendations and still just aren't impressed. Our favorite thing is the cornbread, but even that is sometimes dry. Most recently we tried the herb encrusted prime rib. Near the encrusted edges it was pretty good, but towards the middle there just wasn't much flavor. For $20 I'd be a little more forgiving, but for $32 there are better restaurants in the area. We've also tried a couple desserts and weren't impressed, but the cookies from the bakery counter are excellent and a good value.
Apple pies were good. Little too tart for my liking but definitely something worth trying again.
This is a very nice establishment but too high end for my personal budget and taste. It was very clean looking and well laid out.
Very cute Inn with pretty Christmas decorations. Hot cider and cookies on the check in and tasty potato pancakes available for breakfast. We enjoyed the stay here right before New Year.
Friendly service, attentive waitress, amazing desserts!!! small bathrooms, but very clean
Apple Farm is a great place to take your out of town friends to show off what a cool place SLO is to live with places like the Apple Farm Inn and Restaurant! It's like stepping back into the past when life was a little slower and more wholesome.
Location was perfect, the Staff, Service and Food was all 100% Beautifully decorated for Christmas. I'd highly recommend.
Loved this place and friendly hospitality and services! I will definitely recommend and return here.
Delicious food
Extravagant prices! $17.99 for soup and salad!
$35.00 for 3 course dinner w/dessert, (better break down for that price)
Excellent experience. Everything was super well kept. Service and attention to details was outstanding! Location was great and although is pretty close to the 101 I didn't hear any "white noise" ... Highly recommend this hotel (and don't miss those great cookies in the reception area!!!)
My husband thought it was too pricey. But The Pot Roast actually melted in my mouth. That's how wonderful the Pot Roast was, but they served it with Heirloom Carrots, they were horrible, they were hard as rocks, some burnt, and they had a weird taste to them. My husband had the Baked Chicken which was ok and Butternut Squash which was tasty. Mashed potatoes and chichen gravy. It was ok. But we do believe the prices are way too high. We also bought a small regular cheese cake and it was I thought wonderful, my husband thought it was just ok. All in all it was a nice 42 Anniversary dinner. Simply, blast to our past abit. But we had a good evening. Our Waitress was lovely and she was kind and patient, but she was busy. To end the night my husband bought us bought us a pair of Apple Salt and Pepper shakers in the shop to remember our visit there at the Apple Farm Restaurant and Motel. The rooms were sweet and cozy . Beautiful Geraniums all over the porches of the Motel. Would we go back there again, yes, not for the food but for the very sweet cozy room we stayed in..we felt very much at home there and safe!
As always the staff was ever so helpful!!! Plus there is plenty of perks
Had a wonderful dinner with my daughter. The food was so great, as it has always been.
Bed very comfortable. Complimentary wine tasting. Breakfast not included but a voucher is given
An excellent place! Fine food, great decor (inside and out), excellent hospitality. A warm, welcoming environment.
Love this place! Super friendly staff, they greet you with cider and cookies! I ordered the house cab for dinner and ended buying two bottles for gifts! Will definitely return.
Great service and great food. Super fun evening there! Best french fries I've ever had too!
Love this place! They have seasonal decor, and landscaping. Great for shopping and picture-taking. People are friendly. They have a keyword themed sale on products every month. I come back for their cornbread muffin and honey butter. This time we had breakfast. I recommend the Corned Beef Hash.
Very nice place to be with excellent attention and special services only at Apple Farm
Please come over and enjoy !!!
Always a great stop along the holiday drive, for a bite and a little gift shopping.
Came in to try pie for my friend's wedding. The pie was amazing, but when we asked for a seat to try the pie out they told us they could only let us sit on the patio. I understand they were busy, but the way they went about telling us was a little rude and could have been handled better by the staff.
The food is good but overpriced. Our waiter lost our order but gave us a 20% discount because of it
Service was prompt, food at the restaurant good. Wish that the pool was larger.
Normally excellent for breakfast or brunch. Do not go on a holiday for the Prix Fixe. Cold and limited choice.
We happened upon this beautiful place on our honeymoon drive from San Francisco to Los Angles. WOW, it's beautiful!!! Our room 232 was the most amazing room! Very clean, comfortable and smelled great! I didn't want to leave! The staff was so friendly! We were at the restaurant, very very delicious! Our wait staff was top notch! We will be back for our Anniversary year after year!!! .... wait, I just want to live here!!! Lol
THANK YOU APPLE FARM FOR AN AMAZING STAY ON SUCH A SPECIAL OCCASION!!!
Beautiful Grounds Lovely Store, Wonderful Bakery and Delicious Food!!
We've been going here for 20 years. Never a problem. Great food and better service.
The rooms and grounds are beautiful, and the service is very good.
They have delicious pies. We had Apple crumble and took some boysenberry jam to go.
Nice place, great service and food and the pumpkin pie is to die for.
except for the terrific food, just an expensive motel 6
Our suite was bigger than the apartment we live In. Awesome!
Good food good service nice atmosphere outdoor seating is great
a great place to stop on a drive from l.a. to s.f. divine coffee shop!
Great pit stop with fun things to see and buy. Food is okay but a bit old fashioned in flavor and style. Cookies and all the other sweets are tasty.
Fantastic inn: great service, amenities and such a charming place to stay!
Poor customer service, they never answered phone in the office. The television did not work and the room smelled old and musty.
It was a long wait getting into the restaurant there were a lot of tables available But not enough Servers the through was mediocre
