This school has way too many stereotypes. For those stuck up bitter people who say it is not a good school, say it is just based on football and partying, are extremely bias and clearly unintelligent. You can go to any school and make it what you will. So, therefore, if you believe that it is a party school with poor academics, I would double check your sources because you just sound ridiculous. Obviously you did not get in, or you partied a little too hard and didn't get the degree you wanted. People admire diplomas from such an amazing school because it is so different and selective and the academics are NOT "stupid." The University of Alabama is a prestigious school that offers many hard, tough classes that require a lot of studying and a lot of effort. It is also jumping higher and higher on the countries rankings of colleges. Yes it is not a Harvard or a Princeton, but it does not want to be. It is UA and that is all it wants to be. And hi...they do NOT accept everyone, their acceptance rate is 40% and is getting lower and lower each year. This school is a GREAT school. For those of you who disagree with me, you clearly are trying to make Bama look bad because you have nothing better to do. But for the students who attend that school, the hardworking, busy, and intelligent responsible people who go there, they are much much much better than you who are just sitting on your computer, with nothing better to do, and making arguments you cannot support. Plus, living in Tuscaloosa my whole life, it is NOTHING but safe. To those who disagree....shame on you. ROLL TIDE!

The University of Alabama is getting "too big for its britches" and is taking over the city. I want to move. On football Saturdays I feel like a prisoner in my own home. There are too many students. It is ridiculous and involves much greediness on the part of the powers that be at UA.

This school seems great so far. There are many activities and events for the students to be active in. I like that they have the Safe Zone for the lgbtq community or anyone who needs it. The school does well at being inclusive.

-department wouldn t return phone calls or emails, lost a semester
- they don t grade online work, you get no feedback or input
- They take 5 points off everything and mark it complete ( i proved my suspicions by submitting knock knock jokes instead of a real paper, got same grade)
- after finally getting into EHS masters program, they CANCELLED it, without warning
- they never actually notified us the program was cancelled, we found out via message board from other students
-Were finally told we had one semester to wrap it up and get certificate if we wanted it ( lost semester was difference between masters degree and a certificate now)
-was told we had to reapply from the beginning if we wanted to change program
- 45 days after final still don t ha e grades posted/ certificate or anything for my troubles
- Asst dean said she was sorry I had a bad experience , and grades were posted certificate on its way
- logged in to finally see my grades, (6/18). she lied

Be sure to speak slowly when you talk to Alabama students. Large words are hard for them to understand. You will likely never leave the great state of Alabama after graduating. Trailer life isn't as bad as it's cracked up to be, though. I know plenty of Alabama fans that live in trailers. RTR!

There is such a rich history here, this is such a beautiful campus. The food is amazing, they also have different varieties for everybody. I have absolutely fallen in LOVE with UA! Nothing feels better than feeling loved the minute you walk onto a campus. As always Roll Tide!

If you enjoy using 90's technology, and absolutely hate to have any say as a student, and if you like to be treated like you are a lazy cheating student you should totally go here!! Example: test aren't password locked for the proctor. You wright your professor about it. Answer: "Why are you cheating?" Wait, hold up, what?? How did your mistake turn into me cheating? In what universe does that logic even work? Well, at UA that is how you obtain a phd! If you do not fit the standard of a healthy fully capable white person, you will automaticaly follow all your classes in expert mode! You also won't actually obtain an academic view or any academic skills, but at least you will have the real student debt!

My autistic grandson met Coach Saben at Sandestin...

My autistic grandson met Coach Saben at Sandestin last year .He stopped to have his pic made with Zach; one very happy little boy. I wanted to thank him for this special time he took out for the picture .
I. Have a fund raiser set up for Autism Speaks and wondered if U of Alabama athletic football program might like to donate to this cause, for Zach and all
Others with this diagnosis. It s on my FB page, May Brooks Wingate, for more details. All children look up to role models, such as Coach Saben. Zach was so happy and proud.
I have this picture on my FB post also.
Please relay this message to him. It would delight Zach even if Coach Saben just replied with a message. So many people look up to
Him. My family has attended Alabama since my dad went there about 1927. My siblings were there when Coach Bryant was coaching. They have great memories of that time !
Saben reminds us of Bear Bryant, both very successful well-
Known college coaches !
We are so proud of our football team.and are alumni of UAB, even though my family was from Southwest Georgia!
My Daddy decided to attend because he liked the pictures of the football team and articles. He stayed over Six years just for football season. This started decades of the J..E. Brooks family attending..

The campus has changed since I was there. It was a good college experience. They gave me my piece of paper I needed for a job. The campus is clean and pretty. I don't regret a thing.

Good dining, nice walking/biking campus. Have fun!

About UA System Office

UA System Office: Enhancing the Quality of Life for All Alabamians

The University of Alabama (UA) is a student-centered research university that was founded in 1831 as the state's flagship university. The UA System Office serves as the central administrative unit for all three campuses within the University of Alabama System, including UA in Tuscaloosa, UAB in Birmingham, and UAH in Huntsville. The UA System Office provides leadership and support to these campuses to ensure that they are able to fulfill their mission of enhancing the quality of life for all Alabamians.

The UA System Office is responsible for overseeing a wide range of functions across all three campuses, including finance and budgeting, human resources management, legal affairs, information technology services, facilities management and construction projects. In addition to these core functions, the UA System Office also plays an important role in promoting collaboration between different departments and programs across all three campuses.

One key area where the UA System Office has been particularly successful is in promoting research and innovation across all three campuses. Through its support for research initiatives and partnerships with industry leaders throughout Alabama and beyond, the UA System has helped to drive economic growth throughout the state while also advancing our understanding of some of today's most pressing challenges.

Another area where the UA System has made significant strides is in promoting diversity and inclusion on campus. By working closely with students from diverse backgrounds as well as faculty members who are committed to creating an inclusive learning environment for everyone on campus regardless of their race or ethnicity or other factors such as gender identity or sexual orientation.

Overall, there are many reasons why students choose to attend one of our three universities within The University Of Alabama system - whether it be because they want access to world-class academic programs or because they want opportunities for hands-on learning experiences through internships or other experiential learning opportunities - but one thing that sets us apart from other institutions is our commitment to enhancing quality life not just on campus but throughout entire state by providing innovative solutions that address some today’s most pressing challenges facing society at large.

In conclusion: If you're looking for a university system that truly cares about its students' success both academically & personally while also making meaningful contributions towards improving lives statewide then look no further than The University Of Alabama system!
