Best neighborhood gem around... especially when its 24hrs

I have been dining at Annie's for years. So sorry that she is no longer with us. May she rest in peace.
I have always enjoyed the hanger steak or bull in the pan. As a appetizer I used to enjoy the button top breaded mushrooms, but they are no longer on the menu.
I have noticed that the portions have gotten smaller,while the price's have increased.
The atmosphere is always great. It is nice to dine in the front atrium room. The wait staff are all friendly and courteous!
A great iconic staple for the gay community indeed.

This is a DC must visit steak house. Open all night for dinner after bars close it is a very cool place with very friendly staff and great service.

Bit pricey and my medium rare hanger steak was more rare than I'd like and the chicken tenders were a bit unpleasant but edible and nice atmosphere, even at 10pm on memorial day

Hamburger steak is my favorite but today I tried fried shrimp. Overcooked, dry, hard and tuff.

We are visiting from out of town and stumbled across this place. AMAZING food, both our plates are delicous and we would 10/10 would come back again.

Had to leave after 10minutes without our order taken. Some of the servers ain't welcoming, another customer that walked in after us was attended to immediately.

A DC institution. Steaks are great, from tips and French dip to filet mignon. Best feature is the wait staff, especially Papa who has been at Annie's since 1975!

We went this around noon today Saturday 7/20,venturing out with the and google, we are near the end of our vacation and been using uber and busses for the most part,but our venture today went well finding this 24hr gem,we went thinking steak but ordered fish & chips, X-O-Let !

The waiter said she place is known for its steaks. I am a steak girl and was highly disappointed with the taste and quality of the sirloin. The star was the crab cake and shrimp that accompanied the steak. However, initially, I was worried about the seafood because my calamari arrived chewy. The waiter was subtracted it from the bill consequently.

There's a reason they've been around so long! Delicious food!

Excellent food and atmosphere! Such a wonderful eastern shore tradition for our family. The crab cakes are to die for and the stuffed shrimp exquisite. Sheer perfection and I am a food snob thanks for a wonderful dinner .

Its an ok place. Stays open late but it does get busy. If the server "Chris M" hadn't taken the liberty to bill me for extra gratuity in addition to what was written I may have given it a better rating. Just always pay cash here or else the prices that you see may not be as cheap as they appear......

Extremely friendly staff and amazing food! The Southern Fried Chicken is my must have. The portions are large and I generally end up with left overs to eat later. The outdoor area is extremely cute. I can usually walk up and they can accommodate seating. Highly recommend.

Our waiter was wonderful, delivered great service, pleasant & helpful. Food was served nice and hot, steaks cooked to perfection, crisp steamed vegetables. Dinner rolls so so, bread pudding dessert too dry even though served with both ice & whipped cream.

I really want to like this place, go there all the time with friends. It's been hit 'n miss most times I've gone. Food is good - you get what you ask for, nothing out of the ordinary. Very popular with locals - a neighborhood legend, everyone seems to be a regular - attentive service and wide ranging menu keep the place busy.

Great spot on 17th Street. Quality is good. Cocktails are great. Beer and wine selection is pretty limited and focused on common stuff, with a couple of exceptions.

Got the t-bone from the specials, with mash and veg. Steak was big, flavoursome and cooked just as I d asked, veg were seasonal, fresh and not overdone. Good wine as well, and decent price for a big meal.

Man this place is pretty gay....I mean that in the best way possible......I learned so much gay DC History being at Annie's. Damn that steak was amazing! They get busy so prepare for that. Great service

A DuPont Circle institution! Like Madonna... it re-invents itself. Great comfort food and lots of eye candy around! Lots of fun happy patroms. Several dining rooms (upstairs is more intimate). Great memorable drinks and staple dishes like Prime Rib and the Bull In the Pan. They are open 24 hours on weekends. Experience it!

Where do I begin? This place has it all, good food, great service, and awesome drinks. Martin was very attentive and made us feel welcome. Food was hot and fresh, and we didnt have to wait very long for anything. If you come to DC and dont go to Annie's, you've made a mistake!
