Despite very mixed reviews, my experience with Angard has been a pleasant one.

While being given plenty of shifts through my consultant Reena, there has never been a problem, she has always been polite and efficient when giving me hours convient for me and I haven't had a rude moment during work either.

I would highly recommend anyone to join.

I am very happy to have worked for angard for the past 2 years, the pay is great but not enough shifts are given. I am very happy with the consultant Ziaul(zee). One of the other consultant was unable to resolve the issue I tried for a month and I could not relocate my workplace but Ziaul (zee)did it in one day and amazed me. His natural energy is admirable. I am grateful and appreciative of this sincerety. Thank you so much.

I work at Gatwick Mail Centre and my Consultant is the excellent Ibby Nur.

Ibby has been an excellent consultant and tries to be fair when allocating shifts. Always calm under pressure and very polite and professional.

His efforts appear to be hamstrung by the local RM 'management who over-order Angard staff, then cancel a large proportion of them and then telephone selected ones direct in order to make up the constituents of a shift that are either more to their liking or who can actually 'get things done'.

For example, on most Mondays, the busiest day of the week, the building is usually swamped by Angard sending in up 60 new staff. That is hopeless for getting the work done.

One recent Monday, RM booked 65 staff through Angard, then cancelled 25 and subsequently direct-telephoned 31 - some of whom were in the 25 originally cancelled.

Things like this happen all too frequently.

It does not help that the shift make-ups are distorted by one Senior RM Manager renting bedsits and flats to at least 11 staff and that person ensures that his tenants receive ample shifts in order that they may be able to afford to pay their rent!

Another Manager ensures that their stepson attends every Late Shift - nothing like keeping it in the family!

All this reduces the number of Angard staff who are simply trying to obtain regular shifts on a fair basis. It does cause some resentment among my colleagues.

It must be a nightmare for my Consultant.

I like the work and, at my time of life, I don't mind the zero-hours nature of the employment. However, it IS a little nerve-wracking waiting until at least 18:20 each evening, not knowing whether or not a shift will b forthcoming.

I am happy about ways she speaks and listens to me, books me in and ends our telephone conversation by saying " Kwame good bye". Her attitudes show that she is friendly, respectful and professional. I ve been with angard since November, pay is good. As I have been at university Monday-Friday I have been working weekends aswell as weekdays throughout the holidays. Jon and Megan are both friendly, understanding and helpful when booking shifts. I feel that when I work weekdays I am cancelled more than what I should (probably because usually I am only available for weekends) but now that I have finished university permanently I hope to receive more Monday-Friday shifts for now on. I am happy working here and I will stay happy aslong as I receive a reasonable amount of shifts.

I attended an induction with Angard just over a year ago for a mail sorter position. I waited over five week before I received a text saying a shift was available - but it was a night shift and I received the text at 2.30 in the afternoon and the shift was to be that night. As soon as I phoned the line was continually engaged all afternoon and I was never contacted again.

I contacted Angard again this week and I spoke to a member of staff who, unlike some of the staff mentioned in other reviews, was very pleasant and polite, she informed me that they didn't have any shifts and they normally only recruit workers around the Christmas season.

One or two of the reviewers misused the word "lady" to refer to a rude woman they spoke to. "lady" should be a respectful term and in its proper sense it means a woman with good manners. This woman didn't deserve to be called a polite word and if someone spoke to a rude man at Angard they would never say "the gentleman was rude".

He is responsive and professional, and always tries his best to allocate shifts fairly as well as sort any problems out with integrity and kindness. Angard is great, lots of shifts, caring people and fair distribution of the shift. I was devastated to no longer have reena as my go to person. everyone was so upset including all the managers, everyone has been talking about this accross the center but we now know she has a well deserved promotion. Will miss this person, contacted me for shifts even though I struggle with the app, was very patient with me and made the time to answer questions and problems quickly, i and my co workers feel well looked after. amazing person which represents a 5 star. We love you. I hope you see this.

Previously worked 0 contract worked solid 10 months excellent moved to Sheffield and only did the induction since 21st November had 52 text message over teh period to today and soon has i got the text click call a split second later and get all the time shifts not available Been advised by Ibby that Sheffield has a preferable staff sheet that manger would request first 23 on list I am shocked had no work at all after a solid 10 months in Plymouth. Need a better way a fair approach for staff to be able to work at least once or twice a week when busy and the list of 23 should be taken away and a fair approach used so all ANGARD staff are given work after 2 montsh let down by Angard for work i feel and going b forum there are many others who didn't get any shifts at all same length f time as myself by clicking call now a split second text comes in Its not a fair system being used needs to change for the better off ALL staff who passed the sort...

Now where do I begin? First of all the attitude of the call centre staff at Angard is absolutely disgusting. It goes to show that the calls are not monitored or the management is allowing all this. Staff always have an attitude issue and are not very approachable and friendly at all. On many occasions they either cut you off during the conversation or give you a telling off for no apparent reason for enquiring about shifts. Next is the management staff at Royal Mail itself. I`ve never seen such disregard and disrespect treatment of Angard employees. Even slaves were better treated back in the years. For the high ranking management reading this review get your heads out of your backsides and do what is right. You have a limited time frame to get this right or serious action will be taken. Awarding 1 star is still an insult. Beyond a joke of a company to work for. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. BETTER CLAIMING THE DOLE THAN BEING INSULTED BY THESE FOOLS.

Thinking of joining Royal mail for Christmas ??? STOP Absolute disgrace of an Agency. Staff haven t a clue regarding shifts. they will text you a shift and in less than 30 seconds that supposed shift will no longer be available, and when they do finally offer you a shift, on arrival at your work site that shift will be cancelled without any notification whatsoever on numerous Occasions. What s more you cannot claim back any travel expenses sure you are often left out of pocket. Staff are also very obtuse arrogant disrespectful individuals who should be hung drawn and quartered.

JAMES at Angard is brilliant, very polite, pleasant, understanding and very helpful with the work schedules.

The only criticism is the pay structure isn't explained properly and trying to contact the pay roll department to resolve issues is a bit of a problem.

Overall if you are looking for flexible part time work I would fully recommend it.

I received the weekly text message to book shifts in, i rang Angard to book myself in and the staff were so rude. I would give 0 to their customer service and their management. Don t wast your time! They full of liers. They will tell you as what it said on the job advert and then they will treat you differently. Like-:
1) they won t call you until a shift is available
Through out whole week, you might work 1 day.
2) They don t care about you. Even if you call them for help to ask them why didn t receive a job for this week they probably not give you enough details and hung the phone at you
3) all managers are bad at Royal Mail, they well treat you like as if your direct employed when it s a zero hour contract and treat you lik monkeys and donkeys where you have to stand 8 hours for a dead rate even if its a night shift.

You won t believe it. See it for yourself.
I already feel sorry for those poor people who don t speak much English who s working hard then Royal Mail employs to feed themselves and family. Good luck them.

Great place to work while you're currently studying. A lot of flexibility to work what shifts appeal to you.. short shifts ranging from 4-5 hours is perfect as it allows you to earn but more importantly carry on giving your dedication to education.

Having a understanding consultant (Viktor) helps an awful lot as he always tries his utmost best to accommodate your availability. My short experience with him being my consultant has been nothing short of 10/10. Always very level headed when dealing with my concerns and always comes across very respectful with very good manners. I have been working with Angard for 4 years and must've had over 12 consultants as they tend to keep changing but Viktor is definitely one of the better ones out of all of them. This underlines the importance of having a fantastic consultant and how positively it can impact your experience at Angard.

I know certain individuals that work at Angard who haven't had the best experience and that was mainly due to the consultant and how dedicated they're in terms of engaging with the staff and dealing with day to day concerns..

I'm very grateful and lucky I am represented by Viktor so no concerns within my experience.

I am working with Angard almost a year now. Like any other company nothing is perfect and there is always room for better. A positive thing is the way they are recruiting and the fact that they are doing some research about each hiring person, I consider a bonus. The people I am working with now are very nice and hard working people. Another positive thing is that every time I had a last minute problem and I talked to Megan, she was always understanding and she always replied to my emails. Jon is always very polite and I have noticed some improvements in his way to manage things.

The staff at Angard are very helpful, but Reena in particular is an amazing consultant she is always very polite and kind whilst speaking to us, shift confirmations are always sent and she alerts us in good time when there is a shift change/cancellation. Reena is very reliable and is very responsive during the application process and to any emails with payroll concerns etc.

Working at Royal Mail is very enjoyable and have met lots of nice people. The work itself is easy and straightforward.

Pay is great after three months.

It's not easy getting through. Have to continuasly keep dialling until someone answers.

I have been working with Angard Staffing since March 2017. I applied for Birmingham branch but fortunately they directed me to Atherstone Internatonal Sorting Parcel and I agreed with that. In the first three months was so confusing as I got more shift cancellations due to miscommunication. However since this company has Ms. Megan Walton, the shift was distributed fairly and they have a new system to manage the shifts, I have been feeling comfortable to work with them. in addition, John Frost now is managing the shift booking and he is as professional as Megan Walton does.
Although when the workload sometimes decreased and had to receive the impact but it was still acceptable since this is a zero hour contract. The key of how to get shift is just the performances we had and doing the best for this job. Sooner or later the Royal Mail manager on duty will recognise us and notice us that we are the right person to be in everyday. However, I saw some such lazy workers who have been working for years and I know they could do better than what they did on P40 check but they are still exist in there. To be fair, Angard should notice those kind of people.
Hopefully the communication should be kept up in the future, the shifts are not only fairly distributed but also set accordingly to the right people.
I would say congratulation for everyone, Miss Megan and Mr Frost, we are such a good teamwork. Highly recommended to work with them.

I ve worked shift after shift and haven t even been paid once I waited 2 weeks just in case it s just taking time but I still didn t get paid. I emailed them over a month ago about 3-4 times but no one ever seems to respond and even when I phone them they put me on hold.

After working as a xmas casual with royal mail I was transfered to Angard at the warrington mail centre. Love the people I work with on the shifts its hard graft but we get the work done, the booking system is well organised and shifts are allocated in time on most occasions and other shifts become available in between, there is no real set working pattern for myself as if I only get a couple of early ones I need to jump on a night shift to earn cash as this is my only income after being made redundant so for me more hrs the better

Special mention to sujon and miklos who seem to be my main booking contacts both very professional and organised and a credit to Angard

Only downside is you need to work 12 pay packets before your money goes up which I feel is a little unfair after working for royal mail as a xmas casual especially at weekends

Avoid Angard Staffing is a fake agency and if you don't believe me visit their office in Northampton, they're full lies. Their real name is Reed Global and reason behind is Royal mail use the name Angard to avoid people getting permanent position. The name Angard Staffing only exists on their Website and the I.D badge they issue to agency staff.
They don't treat all agency staff equally, the Shifts are distributed first come first serve basis and the staff are rude sometimes.

As someone who has heard from a consultant working at this company, the way workers are treated is of a very poor standard.

Workers are slaves to a contract which uses them

Rude staff, phones are hung up on people, the reason why most don t get any shifts.

New starters are favored as they bring this company money and the regulars workers are not given any work, lied to by saying there are no shifts

A bunch of young inexperienced consultants drive these workers and affect real lives without caring of the consequences so long as they please their manager

I don t understand how this company is still active and still deploying workers to Royal Mail

For anyone wishing to work through Angard Staffing I recommend you stay away as much as you can

I don t think they have any intention of finding you work, only to sell your details. I applied for Royal Mail casual sorter last spring, registered and never heard anything. They ignore my emails and the phone number either says option 1 no shifts available or the other option someone just fobs you off and tells you to phone back option 1. I applied again this year and went through all the signing up process again expecting to be working over the busy Christmas period but still heard nothing and they are impossible to get hold of. Ended up just applying through Royal Mail directly and I have a start date within a week, compared to the 18 months of waiting for one from Angard.

I have been chasing my P45 with Angard for the past four months - we are now in the new year. HMRC (In October '19) sent me an income tax bill and the P45 is proof this was not of my doing.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with George Wood. I have spoken to George on several occasions, I explained my personal situation since being made redundant earlier this year due to Covid 19. George is so understanding, he listens well and always tries his best to help me. George is very quick to reply and always has the detail/information I need. You give them full details of what you can and can't do and they completely ignore it.

No one seems to take ownership for anything. Complete waste of my time dealing with them. Avoid at all costs.

Have been with angard since March 2019 and could count how many shifts I've had on one hand!
Text messages received and call straight away to be told no shifts available...how?!!
Don't always send text messages so only find out from colleagues that there is actually work.
Working towards getting 12 paid working weeks to go on higher rate of pay is impossibility when you can't get shifts.
Don't respond to emails you send and staff have been rude on occasions.
It's a shame because I like the job and am a hard worker.
Shifts seem to get allocated to same people week in week out. Unfair allocations.
Needs a complete shake up.
