One of our new favorite hotels. The staff right down the line were incredibly helpful and friendly. Service exceptional. After arduous travel the coffee and cold water offered was much appreciated. The homemade cookie accompanying them was an extra bonus. The hotel itself is creative with nice seating areas in which to relax. Very cool, very chic. Love the library and having a space different from the lobby or bar. The extra unexpected touches were what elevates this hotel. Having a staff at the door handing out umbrellas when it s raining, free wine at 5 after a long day, all day access to free coffee, juice and water, staff like Angelina who spent a great deal of time recommending restaurants, great bartenders and creative drinks. Wonderful beds! Great rooms and interesting with the sink by the bed. Fantastic location. All added up to a great stay and would recommend 100%.

It is a historical place, with beautiful buildings, squares and bridges. In their rivers you can go on boat trips and they are very friendly. There are restaurants of different categories an excellent gastronomy. Many tourists visit this area there is a presence of police watching that everything is in order and help the tourists.

Ten days here this time and really enjoyed the stay here and the time in the City.

We stayed 3 weeks last time so I guess we like it.

Excellent staff!! They promptly attended to all our needs and requests without question.

The food service, food and staff were exceptional as was the bar service.

If there was one thing I'd like to change, it would the firmness of the bed. I like something softer and more cushy.

We'll be back.

What a wonderful stay my family and I had here. From check-in to check out, the staff was impeccable. They seemed to know what we needed before we needed it and were always friendly. Travelling with a baby also had never been easier. They provided a crib, baby travel kit(soap, lotion, shampoo and nourishing cream), baby bath, new toy for our baby and a bugaboo stroller to use during our stay. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. I highly recommend staying here and will stay again when we return to Amsterdam.

Creatively decorated hotel with very friendly staff. Location might be the best possible. The room was proper and well maintained. Daily housekeeping was good. The only concern might be its price but when you catch a deal, it can be one of the best choices in Amsterdam.

I'd give the hotel a 5* review, but the soundtrack in the halls is all kinds of creepy. Kids laughing, random guy saying "Hey", and sounds like a party down the hall make it feel like a nod towards The Shining. Everything else was fantastic.

A nice hotel with really nice service! This is one of the more interesting rooms I've stayed, especially with our room having a separate room for shower and toilets. With the makeup/ sink area on its own!

It's beautiful, stylish, quircky and very expensive. the food in the restaurant is good, but they close at 10PM, so make sure you manage your time we'll, otherwise no coffee or tea for you ;-) Breakfast on the other hand was very disappointing when you order off the menu. Very sloppy eggs avo just thrown on a plate and not very tasty. I would recommend the buffet. They messed up the reservations and upfront payment made by my company, which left me having to pay the whole thing myself. They were not accommodating in trying to solve the problem, even though I had all email comms and signed docs to prove my stay was already taken care off. I would have expected more from such a high class hotel.

This was the first time my wife and I traveled to Amsterdam. We had high expectations for this property but were let down a bit. The hotel is very nicely decorated, there are quaint sitting areas to lounge and relax. It is clean and well situated in a nice part of the city. When we arrived our room was not ready but this was to be expected. We dropped our luggage off and made our way around town. When we arrived back, we are both exhausted and wanted to take a nap. We had a beautiful canal view room, front of the hotel. Sadly, they mounted a flag pole directly to the outside wall between our two windows. It is very windy in Amsterdam and the flag litterally created a machine gun banging noise a few feet from our bed. It was unbearable. We were told they would take the flags down which they did after about an hour. It did fix the problem for a short time. The ropes/wires on the poles bang so loudly when the wind picks up, you cannot even think of sleeping. They did accommodate us by moving rooms which turned out fine. That's one star off of my review. The second star was really quite frustrating as well. The service at the front desk is not superb. I spend 10 to 15 minutes the previous night working with a nice younger gentleman on printing out my boarding passes. We managed to get one and I emailed guest services the other. I was expecting them to bring them to my room or leave them at the front desk. As you guessed, when I returned in the morning on my way to the airport they could not find the boarding passes, not the one I printed the night before and they could not located the emails. So after wasting about 30 minutes in total, we left and headed to the airport. I would say this is a nice hotel and in a good spot. I would make sure that you do not stay in rooms 114, 115, 116 and maybe above 114. If they have not figured out how to fix the rattle noise, you will be in for a rude awakening for sure. On the plus side, we ordered room service every morning which showed up on time each morning. It was a bit of an adventure though, some morning they forgot silverware, another cream etc. These little details make the difference between a 5 star and a 4 star and I think at this point, the property is not 5 star yet.

Had a wonderful stay here for our honeymoon!! upon arrival, we were met by a friendly member of staff who showed us a few sights to see and then showed us to our room which had a bottle of cava in there to help us celebrate. All the staff here are so helpful and if you get the chance, try and get Martin in the bar to choose a cocktail for you...very knowledgeable individual!! The location is perfect also, pretty cafe's and local shops close by! would love to stay here again

Everytime we come to Amsterdam we stay at the Andaz and we are never disappointed, never. The rooms are super clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly and the public areas feel like home. The location of the hotel is perfect and walking distance from everything Amsterdam has to offer.
