This place was really great. We stayed there for three nights. We were upgraded to King size beds from Queen beds. Very nice people and staff. It is really close to Disneyland. There is a great big pool at this hotel also. Nice and big, and The Pizza Press is awesome. I am staying at another hotel nearby right now, and it costs the same as The Aneheim Hotel, but is definitely lower quality. I would definitely come to The Aneheim Hotel again.

The location was great and the staff was very nice but the room was old! The tile in the bathroom floor was cracked, the baseboard was rotted, and the soap holder was rusted in the bathtub. The sticker on the tub showing hot and cold was backwards. The AC unit is in the wall in the corner against the bed we could not get the room to cool since the curtains cover the vent. The outlets in the bathroom did not work at all. The pictures online are not accurate!
It was right across from Disneyland. The rooms were comfortable and the view was nice. The art work was better than one would expect. It was clean and well maintained. Check-in and check out were pretty easy as well.
While the walk wasn't bad, the staff wasn't super friendly like some of the other hotels on Harbor. Also wanted to charge me 10 bucks for a crib for the baby when everywhere else I've stayed has been free. Room was a decent size and bed was comfortable, but bathroom was super cramped. Door opened up inward and blocked the shower. Not a lot of wiggle room.
BEWARE: See Yelp reviews for the real story/pix. BAIT AND SWITCH! Lobby pix staged to look nice but rooms are horribly rundown and falling apart. Plus the carpet smells gross. Even staff said that this place is bad and management doesn't care about complaints. Front desk was snail-like slow and opposite of helpful. Not worth the price. I'm sure the cheaper $70 places in the area are the same or better than this. We will not stay here again. Run the other way!
Great location, great price, pleased with remodel so far. I am very happy the Pizza Press moved to the Anaheim Plaza property! Just another bonus to stay at this hotel. Its always priced well, close to the park, and the rooms are adequate for most needs.
Great price, and really close to the Disneyland entrance. Like 5 min walk. Very large Olympic size pool. It's really nice to swim in at night when fantasmic fireworks go off, you can see them clearly from the pool. Only a couple things i didn't like, the rooms are small and i swear the beds are a size double. Parking under any tree will leave sticky milk sap all over your car. Overall, we had a lovely stay.
The hotel was very nice and located just across the street from Disneyland. They have very good deals, including a very nice veteran s discount. The room was clean and spacious. The problem was not with the hotel, but with the hotels service. The first thing i want to point out is that I had a reservation for a room with 2 king beds. This reservation was set up almost two months in advance. When my party arrived to check in, we were informed that even though my grandmother had a service dog for emotional support with tags, they did not accept emotional support dogs as service dogs. They told her this to her face, not very compassionately, and she was obviously disturbed by it. After being told this, we agreed to pay the extremely large pet fee for the hotel so that we had somewhere to stay. We were charged a large amount of money extra and then the employee told us that they generally do not allow dogs in any rooms but one type and he had to change us to a room with 2 double beds... So not only did we have to pay extra for the dog, but he tried to force us into a smaller room. We refused to accept this and he finally gave us the room we had reserved. I assumed this would be the end of the issues with the hotel, but I was wrong. After we had checked out of the hotel and continued our vacation, the hotel decided to charge an additional price for the room. The price was different than the price they charged me when I checked in and ran my card. They also charged it as a second charge and did not use the first charge that I actually approved. What this did was pull double the amount of money out of my account than it should have until a week later when the first charge finally fell off of my account. Overall, the experience was not a good one. I would suggest the hotel for its accommodations and location, but not for friendliness of the staff as well as the hidden costs they may add.
The room was cramped, not necessarily very well-kept, and ours had bugs crawling up the door. The price was okay for being right across the street from Disneyland, but they nickel and dime you with hidden fees on top of parking and regular room charges. Be wary that you may pay about $50 more than you anticipate if you stay here because of extra fees.
I absolutely love this hotel. The staff is friendly, the rooms are nice. It s a short walk away from the main Disneyland entrance. The pool is sublime. Very peaceful and tranquil setup. Great prices for the location.
Great little motel for its location to Disneyland. It certainly shows its age on the outside though. Also the air conditioning units they have in the rooms are hardly adequate if you have any sunlight hitting the windows in your room. The glass is single pane so the room heats up quick. I WOULD NOT stay at this hotel if the temps are above 80F (26C) the room would just be uncomfortable in my opinion. The walk to the front gates of the parks is 10 minutes. The pool is large and open until 10pm and the property was pretty quiet and plenty of grass around to relax on during downtime.
When we arrived at the hotel there was no hot water in our room. We complained to the front desk and was told it could be fixed. Next day no hot water and complained again via the phone to the front desk and was told they would fix it. a third day with no hot water we complained again, to be told they had no record of us complaining before.
Send a workman who looked at it for a half hour, then said he had to go away as it was the end of his shift and a replacement would be sent. No one came, when we came back to our room at almost 4pm, no fix and now the room wasn't cleaned. So another complaint at check out. We were told the manager (Austin) would call us to discuss how to resolve it. No call, and when I checked he went home for the day!!!
Location great, but what's the point if the shower can't be used, and they don't clean the room?
Rooms were very clean but rather small, staff were very professional and helpful. The proximity to Disneyland was a huge plus and offered a great view to the fireworks show.
The distance from Disneyland was fine, it was the hotel itself that wasn't very good. Firstly, when we first go into our room it smelled of marijuana. Secondly we walked into the bathroom and it had human excrement in the toilet bowl. The beds were too short that my legs hung over the bed, I am only 5'7. The door and door frame were far enough apart that we could see out the crack to the outside as others passed by. We didn't spend much time there but it just was not a great hotel, and especially not for the price.
Had to cancel travel plans due to unexpected circumstances and the hotel refused to drop the cancellation fee. Very frustrating! Will not be booking this hotel ever again.
A basic hotel, doors open outside, large pool with a restaurant on site. No free breakfast, comfy beds, fridge in room. If you are planning on spending the majority of your time in the park and don't need a whole whole lot, this is for you.
This was a great place. The pool was great. The gym was a little lame but I m being picky. Everyone was nice to me and the rooms were clean. I d go back again.
Room was hot. Ac works horrible. Room size ok. Overall, not bad. Could use some improvements but considering overall, I would recommend. Best value in area
It's a great place to stay because the food is delicious and you won't have to walk to long to go to disneyland, it's just infant and you can buy your tickets in front desk and at noon you can go take a nap and go at night to see the fireworks.
The location is amazing for our Disneyland trip; it took us 10 mins to get to the parks. The staff were friendly and helpful. There's currently construction going on, but there was no noise. The price was reasonable, free internet, and the water in the shower was so warm!
We loved the lobby, bar, pool and The Pizza Press is fantastic! The rooms are very dated and need some love. To be honest, the bathroom really needs help. Instead of replacing the tiles, they were painted over. The distance to Disneyland is insanely awesome! Our biggest issue was that we found a used feminine pad under our daughter s sheet(I won t post those pictures as it is disgusting). We called down to the front desk and the problem wasn t dealt with. We had to wait out management which took time away from the parks for our family. When we were finally able to speak with management, they gave us free cookies and they comped our $35 pool bar bill. I am a travel agent and a fellow agent was also staying at The Anaheim hotel during the same time, she had received the same cookies as we did at her arrival. It seemed awfully funny that we didn t receive cookies until after the incident.
We found two cockroaches next to the bed after coming back from Disneyland . They were big and reddish/blackish. They could've been a sewer ones since they are reconstructing the first half of the hotel but still really freakin gross. Was afraid the rest of the trip to even step of the bed in the morning because the carpet is red and the roaches were the same color. The wifi sucked. Went to tell the reception girl and she said, "We will send someone to go fix it." But they never came. The only time had wifi was inside the lobby. The pool was big with lots of side white towels. But the jacuzzi was slimmy and dirty. Was afraid I'd get herpes or something inside that thing. Also you have to pay $10.00 each day for parking. And they don't have complimentary breakfast. It's 10 for adults and like 5 for kids. I've stayed at cheaper hotel/motels and they even had free breakfast! I will NEVER come back even after they are done renovating.
Only four stars because I have not finished my stay here, I have two more nights. After I booked my reservation I started second guessing myself. I am happpy I did not change my reservation. Jose checked us in last night and he was so friendly and outgoing!!! Yes, the hotel is dated, but the bathroom was really clean. Yes, the bedspreads are dated, but the sheets were very clean, yes the furnishings are dated, but the room itself is clean. I am spending my time in Disneyland (which by-the-way, is very close and walking was really easy) so I don't need a luxury suite. Our balcony looks over a lawn/garden area and we can see the pool. We have absolutely nothing to complain about!
The room wasn't too bad, the biggest issues was that the toilet kept running water that you could hear anywhere in the hotel room. Along with lots of squeaks like the door was opening, causing myself to wake up multiple times during each night thinking someone was in my room. It kept me from feeling comfortable in the hotel when asleep. Otherwise it was really close to Disneyland and that was a big reason why we stayed here. I am not sure if it was the single room I was in, or an issue across the whole hotel. I am on the fence about staying at the hotel again.
The Wi-Fi signal was not detected in the room they gave me, they charge you to use their parking lot even if you are staying there, and a fee for use of the hotel facilities, and the young man who was at the reception with a very bad attitude, Note that my English was not very good. Leaves much to be desired ... in my opinion
So, our stay at this hotel was pleasant, it is right across the street from Disney/CA Adventure. The room was comfy with a balcony, fridge and microwave. The coffee maker was oddly located in the bathroom with nowhere to plug it in within reach of it, but we just moved it. I heard some complaints about the cleanliness of this place which made me a bit apprehensive, I saw no evidence of bedbugs or any big deal breakers. They did make the bed with 2 flat sheets which was a bit odd, but still not a big deal. They also charge a daily rate for parking, but it is well below any of the neighboring hotels rates and Disneyland resorts rate. Honestly for the price and location you probably wont find a better value.
Very inexpensive breakfast buffet, even if there are only a few options. Be ready for the tip to be included in the bill. $25 out the door for two adults and a kid.
I honestly would not stay at this hotel if not for it's location. I'll start at the beginning. They say check in is at 4 pm, which is one of the latest check in times I've ever dealt with. Then, when I got here a half hour early, the not very friendly front desk attendant let me know that the room might not even be ready at 4 pm. Great news for someone with a baby that just drove two hours. I asked about the patio and queen beds i requested, but he let me know they were just requests and not guaranteed. Okay, so a months heads up and arriving before check in still might not get you the room you think you booked. I get to the room, it has twin beds not queen but got the patio. 1 out of 2 ain't bad I guess, still 50% and an F but whatever. The tubs/shower are a problem. It didn't hold water, so it's difficult to take a bath. Also, it takes a couple of minutes to get any warm water out of either the sink faucet or the shower, and when you do, the water likes to change temperatures on its own and the handle to change it is only a rough estimate. So showers aren't very nice. I also had the absolute biggest cockroach I have ever seen inside my room. (Picture enclosed next to beer bottle cap for scale) it was the only one I saw this stay or my previous multiple day stay, but there it was. The AC unit placement is interesting. It can't properly cool the room because it's about 12 inches from the side of one of the beds. And then a curtain drapes over the top of that. So you have to blast the coldest, highest fan speed air to keep the rest of the room cool, meanwhile that area by the bed is a frozen tundra. The TV also was missing several channels on it's channel guide. Probably close to half of the channels didn't work, including ESPN during a Monday night football game. The walls are also pretty thin so you can hear when they come in and out, not to mention people walking above you. And if youre by an ice machine, get used to the sound of ice crashing into buckets, because it's going to happen all night. This place also has the worst curtains I've ever had in a hotel. Prepare to have the entire room flooded with light at about 6:30 am everyday, and you can't do anything about it. I will say the hotel seems to have pretty good WiFi, as I've been able to hook up my PS4 and watch streaming services pretty easily. That and it's location are probably the two best qualities. Beds are about 7 on a comfort scale. I've earned a free night after multiple nights here, but I think after I use that I'll be looking elsewhere for my Disneyland trips. Enclosed are pictures of the room/curtains at 7 am, the AC unit blocked by the bed and curtain, and my late night cockroach intruder.
Super close to Disneyland park, walking distance. Staff is very friendly and nice the pool is huge, they have a bar and restaurant attached and reasonable prices. It is a bit older though and you can hear everyone walking by and things which is pretty loud but manageable. Other than that I recommend and it s so close to Disney which makes it nice.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! NOISY AIR CONDITIONERS!! LOST AND FOUND PERSONNEL NOT AVAILABLE FOR DAYS!!!!!
Left my Kindle in the room on Tuesday morning. Called later that day to check and no one returned my call. When I called again after 6, was told to call on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. No one responded until Thursday! Their excuse was that the lost and found person wasn't in. In fact, that person is not even scheduled every day and no one else takes on that role!!!! Meanwhile, staff is aware that lost and found staff are only in on certain days! What a great opportunity on those days for theft! There are no safes in the rooms. There are systemic communication problems with this hotel. EXCUSES, EXCUSE, EXCUSES!!! Action to check on the status of the kindle was too little and way too late! This hotel is now more of a 1 STAR than a 2!
Pro, close to Disney. Walking distance. Breakfast buffet all you can eat 10 dollar breakfast. Staff very sweet and helpful also has a laundromat on premises but be sure to buy soap at gift shop and save about 5 bucks! CON, needs serous updating. Carpet smells stale. Vents loud can't hear television when vent is on. Horrible smell comes from vent. If you don't put fan on its hot and musty by if you turn on the fan it's cool but loud and stinks. I probably won't stay here unless it's in a room that has been totally remodeled
Good place nice and clean, economical considering that it is in front of Disney, which gives you many advantages as a tourist! And as seen in the photos at night the spectacle of the fireworks of Disneyland looks sensational!
Not recommended. When it was the Anaheim plaza hotel, it might have not had the best looking front or rooms, but their customer service was not as sophisticated and stuck up as these new owners and employees are. The new owners fixed the front looks mainly. What they need to do is drop the entire room structures, renew the plumbing because shower tubs are always clogged above ankles. Their electrical is always faulty, trippin and in danger of catching on fire. They have tv, fridge, microwave all in one outlet. I've mentioned this to managers and yet it is still the same. Other hotels don't charge for parking and these guys charge for parking lot even though they are charging a lot per room because of their stupid front end remodels. Public parking was $15 before now they charge $20 and that's what Disneyland charges. The past personel were all let go. They were much friendlier than these people now. After many years of us going there prior to this new ownership there were still some past personel there. They said that the new owners thought they were superior by not acknowledging them instead of being curtious and respectful to the blue collar workers.
I feel the need to share this review because I wish I could read about this place before booking. After a long drive, you arrive at the hotel and is 4 am... all you want is a nice bed to rest. It does not happen here! Spent 30 minutes trying to figure out what happened but the front desk could not find my reservation even though I showed them proof of it on my phone. Ok, will pay an extra 400 dollars to sleep in a place I already paid to sleep in. Anyway.. They recognized their mistake and nothing was done or said for the mistake. Asked at the front desk about Disney tickets and the level of disrespect of the punk this hotel hired was overwhelming. I wanted to punch this idiot so badly, could not believe he had a job. Considering all of the above plus roaches in the room and the insane level of humidity, I can say this was the worst most expensive hotel I ever stayed in my entire life. Find anything else, this place is not worth a dollar.
This is a great hotel to stay at if you want something nice, close to the parks, and not too obnoxiously expensive. The rooms are clean, there are great views from the ramp/balconies and it's only a 7 minute walk from the parks. This is my go-to hotel every trip.
Like the grounds, the bars and the pool. Pizza Press is good spot. The rooms were decent and clean. We had a small porch. The only complain I had is the shower. The temperature doesn't stay the same. It can get really hot for a couple seconds and then goes back to normal. But all and all, I would stay here again.
Conveniently located and very affordable. I've enjoyed staying here for many trips to Disneyland and the pizza place located inside the hotel is also perfect for a late night after park snack
Lobby is fantastic. Retro, roomy and clean. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are not the best and not the worst. They could stand for some updating. Beds are comfortable. We like that the bathroom is tucked around the corner, from the sleeping area. Great walking distance to Disneyland Park and DCA. Gift shop inside with street access. Good options for all your needs.
Complete dissatisfied, old building with simple repainted, first offered room that has lots noise whole night and no WiFi, 2nd day offered another room has no noise but dirty bedding, tel phone doesn't work and still no wifi. Of course they still charged me full resort fee.
