Supposedly renovated room still behind an average room you can expect for the area. Great pool, great location, but the place is still dated, despite the renovation.

Take this review with a grain of salt, because they appeared to be starting remodels when we were there.
At least it was inexpensive and quiet. The rooms were in dire need of remodeling. There were areas where you could tell things had been painted over and over again, producing those layers of paint that take decades to build up. The bathrooms were very outdated and not quite as clean as I'd like. I never did get the tap to produce hot water, though we had no problem with the shower. The rest of the room was pretty basic. The room locks were tricky and usually took several tries to unlock. The restaurant their site listed was closed down.
The location is pretty good, and we didn't have noise issues or see signs of bugs or critters. It was not a long walk to Disneyland at all. Staff was helpful. I would prefer other hotels, but I was unable to get the dates we needed.
For the price compared to other places, I can't really complain. The room itself seemed clean but there were some gripes. The air conditioner/heating is very loud, the shower had very weak pressure, and there weren't many outlets available for use in the room.
The Anaheim Hotel is a nice little hotel with The Pizza Press restaurant attached to it and is a very popular dinner destination for visitors and locals.
Don't stay here. The rooms are clean enough, but they're old and nothing works. Shower/tub doesn't drain. Toilet seat looks like someone melted part of it. No hot water EVER. Air is hot or cold, and on or off. Furniture, bedding and appliances are from last century. I could go on, but I won't. Do yourself a favor, don't stay here.
We have always stayed at this place during our Disney Vacation. We have never had any issues in the past. It is under new management and their policy changed i booked our rooms months before out trip i even called the monday before our trip to confirm our price and rooms everything was confirmed. Thursday we go and check in comes to find out they cancelled our reservations and charging for parking. Their answer was that they were under new management thats all. Luckly i had my emails on our rooms. We will no longer be staying at this hotel in the future.
Don't stay here. Reeks of mildew. Bathtub was painted white to hide stains or rust. Dry rot and mold around the bathroom door frame. Cigarette burns on the sink counter in our 1st room - we asked to be moved but next room had other problems. Internet didn't work even when they tried to fix it. Air conditioner sounded like a plane taking off - they quieted the rattling by shoving a washcloth next to the motor, which is a fire hazard. The chest of drawers was broken so you couldn't open/close drawers. The closet door was off the rack, we got it back on & it still wouldn't budge. There was no hot water the 1st day. We complained so they turned up the boiler for our building (400 block), but still the hot water would last only a few minutes. A front desk clerk, Ivan, who tried to help us said they clean rooms right before people arrive, which means they leave them sitting dirty for days! DISGUSTING. Our sink was clogged so the bathroom had drain flies. It leaked so they sent maintenance who used our towels to sop up the floor, but they didn't offer to replace our towels nor mop, and the floor got sticky. The shower curtain was mildewy. The awning over our walkway was collapsing with rotted wood. There were paint chips falling off the ceiling in several places. The carpet was stained & the tiles in the bathroom were cracked - looked very old. The place is very, very dated with a few superficial improvements to the lobby area, & nothing works. Even with the ancient air conditioning running the room remained very damp, which explains the mildew. This hotel as an F rating from the Better Business Bureau. Stay elsewhere - there are plenty of other hotels within walking distance to Disney & the Convention Center.
Great location near Disneyland Resort, great amenities, the bar on site has some of the best service around and don't ignore the pizza place attached.
The room was clean, but in a terrible state of repair. Please don't be like me and think you know more than reviewers... you will not get a shower in this hotel. Stay somewhere else!
There was a bad smell on the second floor (urine), the hallways were dirty and there was no bottled water. The only thing I saw positive is the proximity to the park (Disneyland).
Good morning everyone so I was sent to this hotel by the red Lion hotel because I booked online and they overbooked I was told that I will not be charged for the night at the other hotel my stay at the Anaheim hotel was supposed to be free on red Lion hotels request because of the fact that they overbooked. but I was supposed to pay for resort fees and parking fees which I did not mind they ended up charging me the resort fee and to stay a night which was a total of $300 which was not supposed to be bill to me it was supposed to be billed to red Lion hotel the lady at the front desk did not knowing how to do her job I asked if I can pay cash she did not let me pay cash I spoke to the manager Alex rainbow in the morning he said I was allowed to pay cash I will never go to those ugly hotel rooms ever again. They literally ruined my whole vacation
Nice rooms, enjoyed the decor, as well as the view to Disneyland from my balcony. I'll be back.
The room we got was not as advertised. We got an older room that was very warm and humid. My husband had to fix the cooler so that we could use it properly. The hotel is within a 10 minute walk from the parks and the lounge and lobby were pretty neat and just updated.
Very comfortable and very well maintained hotel! Each room either has a little balcony or a little patio-ish area! The staff are very welcoming and helpful.
This is a nice hotel, close to Disneyland which is fabs. The pool and hot tub are great and the rooms are more than adequate considering you re mostly only there to sleep, as most of your time is spent at Disneyland.
What made the trip extra special was Leo, who was on hand to help with ANYTHING! Cheerful and accommodating he will be the reason we return! Hotels are only as good as their staff... and Leo was great!
Location is excellent and walking distance to the park. Room is average. Bed a little hard but clean.
There was not a free breakfast, the AC makes the room way too cold, it doesn't have lotion in the bathrooms, which would be nice in such a dry hot part of CA, and it was overall too expensive for what you actually get. However, the outdoor pool, which is 11 ft at the deep end, is fantabulous!
Blunt reception, very old building that is labeled as a deluxe. Beds sleep reasonably well. Less than 10 minutes from Disneyland entrance.
Was a great stay and was cheaper then some other hotels even though it was only a block away from Disney.
Inexpensive clean and within walking distance to Disneyland.
I love the pizza press, it's one of the most affordable places to eat around dinsneyland, you can build your own pizza with unlimited toppings so you can easily share one pizza or get two and take home leftovers
Worst hotel around. Do not stay here. Everything in the room didn't work. The air was broken the microwave didn't work. There was so many mosquitoes in my room they couldn't really do anything to make my stay better until i ask for a discount. Now to top it off there having a party with the doors open and when I called the front desk to see if they could do anything they told me the party was going until midnight and they don't have to close the doors. They still aren't doing anything to fix this problem. I will never stay here again. I will make sure everybody knows not to stay here.
Very close to Disneyland, the rooms are decent, however the room I stayed in didn't have toilet paper roll holder for some reason, and I only got lukewarm water in the shower
Was the perfect location for the convention center and Disney.
We stay here for qyick trips to Disneyland. Has always been a cleanplace to stay. The staff are very friendly, a couple even remember us from our previous visits.
The Anaheim Plaza Hotel & Suites is a fantastic place to stay, especially if you're going to Disneyland because the location is perfect. The staff is friendly and accommodating and they were more than willing to help us solve problems or give directions as needed. Will definitely visit again.
Great value hotel 10 minutes walk from Disney Parks
The Anaheim Hotel and it's services was a one of a kind experience. Everything went according to plan.
The images on the site versus what we got were quite different. They appear to be remodeling the rooms but most I saw were not updated. The two king beds were nice but again quite old. I would stay elsewhere as it was average in my opinion. The front desk was very upbeat and personable when we checked in though.
Much better after the change in management - clean and new rooms. Breakfast bar was great, although didn't open until 7 (advertised at 6.30). On site laundry and small store. Walking distance from Disneyland. Pool is also excellent. Really impressive.
Great location, clean rooms. Fridge but no microwave
We stayed here during a Disneyland trip. The room was adequate and the staff was very friendly.
Bathroom is small Room is nice Lobby is clean Service is nice Cheap Would recommend for cost effective
Wonderful location! Very friendly staff and right across from the parks! It has an adjoining restraunt open 6am to 1am! They have remodeled the rooms and are working on on the property now.
We stay for disneyland. Always good service, comfy and friendly staff!
Nice staff, great distance from Disneyland. Rooms are a bit outdated. Can hear lots of outside noise in room.
always a pleasant stay here. The remodel looks gorgeous!
The service was really good. I liked the food. The staff was kind, the music near the pool was to die for the piano was pretty and I loved the furniture the rooms were short and cozy and the beds were stiff but overall I would go again and the coffee was really good to be honest I loved my stay but I also was not here for verry long. It's a 5 Minute walk from disny land and the shops around are amazing everything is within walking distance, I highly recommend coming here if you want a cheep and clean hotel. The only problem is the stiffness of the beds.
Great location. Good price. Decent sized rooms. Patio. View of tower of terror. McDonald's down the street.
This is a nice 2 star budget hotel near Disneyland (10 min walk). Has very nice big pool and hot-tub. The beds are very comfortable. On the downside, the hotel is showing its age despite the renos this place still has a budget hotel feel to it! If your primarily looking for a cheap hotel near Disneyland just to crash at night this is a good option.
I've stayed at many hotels over the last year. I give this one a 5 star because it has something that almost none of the others have and that's Charm. There's this kinda positive energy to this place that you can actually feel. It's also spread out and sits on a large piece of property which is beautiful and we'll kept. The pool is absolutely Amazing! All in all, this hotel is one I'll visit again and again....
Friendly staff, great price hotel. The construction is annoying but understandable. Attention to detail wouldve gotten a 5 star rating from me. Small things, only 2 towels in a room reserved for 5. My mom requested a downstairs booking at the time of her reservation and got an upstairs room
Just parked there for Disneyland, it was fantastic location!
Dated , needs some serious updating and repairs. Bathroom tiles dirty and cracked , they did clean , but grout was stained and dirt was imbeded..Staff went out of there way to help you.
It,was big and pretty clean a little out dated it was close to Disneyland which was a plus
Very well used. Needs updating, not rechaulking over
The property could use some TLC. But since it's primarily a place to sleep, and not a destination in it's own right, it can let some cosmetic maintenace slide. Rooms are big, which is nice, but the bathrooms are tiny. The inability to split room payments to more than one credit card is a major drawback (they can only split payment between cash and only ONE credit card per room). Overall they're one of my two "go to" places to stay when at Disneyland and on a strict budget.
Security thought that it would be a good idea to let a stranger into my hotel room at 4am. Luckily I had the door locked so they couldn't get in but management thought that calling us at 4:30am was enough to resolve the issue. Other than that a great stay.
I wish I could write a good review about this place because we have stayed here a few times. Unfortunately our last stay will likely be our last. We stayed in mid June for 3 nights while we went to Disneyland with our kids. In the last night at 3:45am my wife went to use the restroom and found a giant roach in the bathroom area, she woke me to deal with it which I did. My wife did not sleep the rest of the night for fear there were more in the room. She was extremely worried they had gotten into our luggage and food which is a real concern. In they morning I went to the front desk with the dead roach in bag and explained what happened. I was told a manager would not be in until 10am which was after we were checking out. When we did check out I saw they had given us a measly $52 credit on our bill. I was really hoping a manager would have called to at least apologize or offer a bit more of a credit as this caused my wife a extreme amount of anxiety. She unpacked all our clothes in the garage to make sure nothing was in them.
I was let down by the fact they have roaches and more let down by how it was handled.
Clean close to Disneyland. A few hiccups with the room. I'm assuming it's because they are going through a whole renovation. Overall very good. Would stay there again.
great price for location, rooms run down a bit but clean and friendly stsff otherwise. Near multiple resturaunts and CVS walking distance, 10min walk to Disney security checkpoint. Would stay again when on a tight Disneyland budget.
The hotel will get my business again. The lobby was decorated modern and beautifully. Only negative was that the rooms didn't match the lobby outdated decor but they were clean and suited our needs. The park is super close and easy to walk. Which was nice to just pop back in and out as we needed. Affordable and quick room service started each morning. The pool had a outside bar and food from the pizza press which was delicious and connected to the lobby. Landscaping and lighting was on point. Rooms are spread out nicely throughout the property so you feel a nice reprieve from the crowded park. Customer service was top notch from beginning to end.
I booked a room with a balcony two weeks ago. I called two days prior upon our arrival to guarantee our room. They resoonded,"Of course, no oroblem." We got there an hour before check in and they said our room was being cleaned. We hung out in the lobby for 30 minutes and checked back in to see the progress of our room. The front desk then told us that there wereno room available with a patio. On top of this, he had a non caring attitude. So, although I called two days in advance and was told upon early check in my room was available, it wasn't. What kind of business is this? I will never book here again. There was no compensation what so ever. And on top of thatcaring
Food was delicious at the pizza press at the hotel. Great beer choices too. Friendly staff.
The hotel is going through some renovation, and the room closer to that has some issues with being too hot. But otherwise it does what it promises.
We ate at The Pizza Press restaurant. The food is rich and they have quite a selection of craft beer.
Very affordable. Undergoing renovations but no problems. Incredibly convenient!
Old rooms and noisy air/heat that doesn't stop blowing...ever!
This place is amazing! The room was large and comfy (2 queen), we requested a microwave, which was brought up right away. I couldn't believe how close to the park we were for the price! There's an on site, build your own, pizza place! The array of toppings and sauces are perfect for families, no one is left out. There's a convenience store a blocks walk away. The pool is large and heated, the perfect place to watch the fireworks! The only downside was that we misplaced an electronic device and they were unable to find it. Other than that a wonderful stay!
Acceptable if you want to spend little and be close to Disney, walking you arrive in 5 minutes, the wifi is not stable, the staff speaks Spanish and they gave us the facility to check out an hour late and leave the car to go to eat.
This is at best a 2 star hotel. Small rooms, noisy, lack of quiet public spaces. I thought I was getting a budget price. Ended up spending over $800.00 for a 2 night stay. I was ripped off!
Our experience at this hotel was TERRIBLE. Check in was easy. Upon getting into our room, I moved our suitcase in front of the large mirror and kneeled down to pull something out. While on the floor, I noticed an object just a few inches from my knee. I couldn't figure out what it was so I grabbed a tissue and further examined it. I found a plastic piece that appeared to be bloody with a needle sticking off the end. I was horrified. I called the front desk and demanded it be removed as soon as possible. A maintenance guy came to remove it, and said "sorry for the inconvenience". My husband and I went to the desk and spoke with a supervisor, who I believe is named Robert. He seemed apologetic that a NEEDLE was found in our room. We made an agreement with him that we would stay in our room pending that the room was throughly inspected and deep cleaned right then. He asked that we allow them time to do this so we went and had dinner. He also said that we would have our room "VIP cleaned" for the rest of our stay. A few hours later, we returned to an untouched room. We went back to the desk to ask what the deal with our room was and Robert said that cleaning the room wasn't what we had discussed and that the room was cleaned prior to our check-in. (Obviously NOT CLEANED enough) He made us look like idiots for going up there and said that nothing was going to done for our room. We were out of options for the night- this guy wasn't going to help us and every hotel in the area was sold out. We were forced to stay in the dirty room. The next day we went back to the desk and spoke to a nice girl that was just as horrified as we were about what we found. She had our room deep cleaned right then. She also told us we could come back and speak with manager Alex Rainbow. Our conversation with Mr. Rainbow left us pretty angry. At first, he questioned where it was found and then said that whoever was cleaning the rooms would be talked to. I was very disturbed at how un-bothered he was about this finding. I explained to him that had I been stuck with the needle, we would have instantly filed a law suit. A needle stick from a dirty needle could have had life long consequences for me and he could have cared less. What if someone with a crawling child was put in this room? He asked what we wanted from this situation- We had said that some sort of compensation or something to make us feel like they actually cared about this MAJOR risk they subjected us to. He said he would comp us the one night we found the needle but that was all he felt was necessary. I continued to say that I wanted to feel like they cared about this situation. I asked for contact information for a GM or someone above him but he refused to give me that information saying that contacting them wouldn't get us anywhere. He then made it seem like we were just trying to get our entire stay free and made it seem like he was accusing us that we planted the needle in our room. We ended the conversation at that because we weren't getting anywhere and felt so disrespected. Had he made us feel that he was concerned about this situation, we would have refrained from nasty internet reviews and filing a report. We called the Orange County Department of Health and filed a report with them. I also spoke with a friend that manages a large hotel that said anytime anything that is found that COULD BE DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, the police should be called to remove it and that we shouldn't have been allowed to stay in that room. It is concerning that this hotel subjected their employees to this hazard as well. Stay far away from this hotel. Aside from it being a dump, management clearly doesn't care about you. You get far less than you pay for here.
Very conveniently located across from Disney theme park. The rooms are clean. Depending where your room is you can see fireworks
Excellent place and service, you do not have to go that far, the food at the hotel is delicious for a small fee! Clean comfortable rooms.
He's already a bit old and battered but viable to rest
It was very clean nice bathrooms and great custo.er service. Right next to pizza press, great pizza place
Good enough... great location and comfy beds but loud... can hear all the guests next door going potty and walking around... otherwise it's good.
THe front desk staff were rude, 1st sentence. They have a Time share marketer right in the lobby that pretends to be a hotel employee giving away already free coupon books. The shill is also giving away free stays at another Hotel. This is the very first sign that you have crossed over into the twilight zone. The air conditioner controls are covered in labels written in sharpie to tell you hot/cold:Low/High. The water is foul. I actually bought bottled water to brush my teeth. There is a smell to the water. The refrigerator reeks. The TV is a CRT, which is a minor complaint, but this is the most expensive hotel I have stayed at on Harbor BLVD. I changed to the Del Sol, the second one room became available. The place is dated, and its unsafe. The parking lot has multiple entrances and no real security. They don't offer breakfast. There is no ice machine? I have no ice bucket in the room and no map shows an ice machine. Isnt that just something that should be at every hotel on earth? Really Really not happy here. I have stayed at Del Sol, Tropicanna INn, Desert inn and suites, Park Vue, all MUCH better hotels and experiences.
Close enough to walk to Disney! Room has fridge and microwave. Didnt know about $10 plus tax for parking per day. Also guest are noise starting early because it's a lot of family's with kids that don't understand hotel ediquitte.
Had lunch at the new restaurant attached. Pizza Press. Excellent pizza and great service
Only stayed the night, room was clean and it was quiet. Was very close to our destination.
Customer service was top notch from beginning to end.Rooms were nice and clean. Close to Disneyland and everyone was really nice. We had a excellent time there and will return.
Check in & out was quick and easy, the room was clean and easy to locate. Happy hour selections at the bar were great. A little over a 5 minute walk to the Disneyland resort bag check area. My room was at the front so it did get a little noisy from people walking by. Also the Wi-Fi signal was slightly weak. Besides those two issues, I would definitely stay again even in the same room.
The lobby for the hotel was nice. The rooms seem to be on the back of the property and are more like motel rooms than hotel rooms. However the hotel is very close to the Disney park and very much walkable.
A bloody needle was found in my room. Management did not care.
Bad customer service. Rooms are very out dated. Our tv didn't even work when we got there and when the tech came to our room he was completely rude as he fixed it. Carpets are dirty would not recommend letting ur child crawl or even walk bare foot. Pillows are sooo uncomfortable and the walls are not sound proof we can hear both families on each side of us screaming and talking and getting ready at 630am. They charge for parking and a parking tax. If you sneeze they would problem charge for that too
Stayed here a few years back and it was well overdue for a remodel. Well it's great to see that this place has finally gotten the remodel it needed. Mid century modern. Love the look and feel. The room updated, clean and nicely appointed. Wish they had done more with the bathroom area of the room, but overall great place to stay. Let's not forget it's at Disneylands doorstep!
Well it was a pretty decent stay. Close to Disneyland, clean and affordable. You get what you pay. My only real complaint was that our wifi was terrible and cut out non stop.
Great place to stay love the upgrade and close to disneyland.
