Great spot for conventions, nice rooms, friendly staff, prices in line with competition, good gym and pool area, and convenient location. My only criticism - and this is a super nitpicky thing - is that the toilets sit awkwardly low.

The shower curtain rod was falling off the wall. I called and they send someone to fix it, 20 min of working on it and he said it was all good. In fact it was still falling off the wall. Internet isn't very fast. Had a hard time steaming. Breakfast was good. And the hotel is very clean.

Great stay! Great staff... two hour reception weekly, great! Conveniently located minutes from the airport. Free shuttle service.

Shopping nearby, restaurants walking distance and plenty of parking.

Rooms are outdated and need could use a little freshening up. I stayed here on 6/11 - 6/12/16 and had to use the stairs majority of the time due to a consistent wait of about 20 minutes for the elevator. I was on the 6th floor so I got my stairs in for the week I would say. I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past but it just needs some updating as everything is getting old and worn out. I will not be staying at this property again until things are repaired. It does not fit the quality of a typically Embassy Suites.

The room was very large and there was a spacious living room apart from the bedroom.
There is a free service for alcohol and snacks from the evening. At the breakfast buffet, the omelet was baked on the spot and it was delicious.

Disappointed with the stay. Their answer to the virus was to close their restaurant and breakfast buffet. Instead, they gave me a fatty pastry, cheap granola bar and a nasty red delicious apple, which is red but never good.

Great location and amenities around. Got stuck on cancelled flight. Hotel is solid, breakfast is great and included and the area has lots of food stores and restaurants around it. Who knew.

Room was great. Didn't like that i had to pay for parking. There was also a convention of some type going on that i wish i couls have been told about prior to booking. Thing that really mattered were great though. Service was great and the in house restaurant was stellar far exceeded my expectations.

The area is great for large scale events. The hotel itself is great, the rooms are large and the cleaning staff are good at what they do. The front end staff however do not like certain events and make it known to every person that stays. Our front end staff was very direct that our event is not supported and shouldn't be presented for any lengthy time in public spaces.

We always like staying at the Embassy when leaving Ohare. Got a corner room. Two windows. Clean. Complimentry drinks is a bonus. Abiam checked us in fast and was helpful with questions I asked.

Charged for damage that occurred before I checked ...

Charged for damage that occurred before I checked in and even told the front desk about right away and told I would not be charged. Full story, after waiting an hour to check in, since the person I was rooming with card didn't work, I ended up using my card temporarily so we could check in. The moment I went inside the room I noticed green marker marks all over the wood door frame. I instantly took a picture of it and took it down to the front desk where I found the same man who check us in and told him about the mark. I told him I found it when we checked in and would like to change rooms so we would not be charged with this damage. He apologized and assured us we would not be charged. The photo of the damage was timestamped and there hopefully should be video of me going to the front desk to conform I notified them right away.

Well a week later I see a charge for $189 to my card which shouldn't have any charge on it. When the person I was rooming with (since the hotel was under his name) call to see what the charge was for the woman he chatted with said it was for the "green crayon" markings on the door frame. After telling her that this was there before we arrived and we already told the front desk who assured us we would not be charged, she told his it was not up to the front desk person, it was up to the manager. When he tried calling the manager he was told it was already too late to do anything about it and the charge for incidentals remains.

I called a few times myself but since the room was not under my name (though my card was used) they would not talk to me further about this situation. This was the second time I stayed here and I think it will be the last. When someone in Embassy Suites uniform at the front desk assures me I would not be charged for damage that I had proof I did not do and I am still charged, I have to think this was some type of scam. No marker drawings is worth a $189 in cleaning fees. This is not okay, I have talked to my bank about this situation.

UPDATE: I did finally get through with an employee who told me another story but could not explain the charge since the room wasn't under my name and I would need my friend to call back. So still not sure what is happening.

Loudest Hotel Ever with Long Lines at Breakfast

Loudest Hotel Ever with Long Lines at Breakfast

I love the area ofthis hotel - it's close to the airport, convention center, shopping, Hofbrauhaus, and highways (I-294 and I-90). But, this hotel is VERY LOUD! The lobby is all tile and glass and echoes like crazy. To make matters worse, the bar is right near the check-in desk. The rooms have thin, wood French doors with half inch gaps between the door and floor; the glass panes let in every bit of noise. If you are near a staircase, they are made of metal and are you can hear every step in your room (and, unfortunately, they are regularly used due to the long lines at the elevators). All of the other rooms overlook the busy breakfast area - good luck sleeping in here! Also, ironically, there is a large sign near the check-in desk that warns that loud noises are not tolerated!

One side benefit of being a Hilton Honors member is that I received vouchers for free breakfast. But, like the elevators, the lines were very long. The main buffet had eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and waffles which were approachable. Then the toast line for the single toaster for a football field of tables was backed up five deep. The coffee line for the two coffee makers was long as well (and one coffee machine was out of order during my stay). By the time that you got toast and coffee, the rest of your food is cold. They do have a custom omelet line but it was way to long to bother checking it out. The yogurt was served in communal-style (gross!) instead of individual cups.

If my stay was longer than 2 days, I would have left the first evening. Next time, I will stay on one of the other Hilton properties that I have had good experience with - the Hilton next door or the Hampton Inn down the street.

Summary: AVOID.

If time wasn't such a commodity, I would have a different choice. If O'Hara wasn't a world class airport, I would have a different choice. And if Illinois wasn't an economic engine of the Midwest, I would have a different choice. Well I don't have a choice. The hotel is two stars. O'Hara (ORD) isn't world class and yes I need Illinois scale of economies. Thankfully, Gibson's steakhouse is across the street. Sorry, Rosemont Morton's is too far of a walk.

The location was very convenient, the staff was accomodating and polite and the breakfast was wonderful. The only part of the stay that is a con were the broken elevators. Only one elevator was in service which led to either long waits or climbing stairs.

Wonderful place to stay, very open and well lit. Rooms are very convenient and accommodating, at least in the conference rooms. The skywalk is a bit difficult to get to, and its especially upsetting on a nasty day.

Very nice, spacious suite rooms and an acceptable complimentary breakfast. Lovely views of a large open central area from balconies, and for us, included parking at the adjacent structure. The only thing marring the experience was the exceptionally slow elevators, although they have a lovely glass walled view of the interior expanse.

Hotel and rooms are good. The problem is the shuttle service to and from Ohare. Drivers can't be bothered to pick up passengers. Ended up having to get a cab. Wasted a hour of my time waiting.

The rooms are nice and clean, good reception area for happy hour and hot morning breakfast. The negative is the parking - if you follow the arrows to the section of the parking garage for Embassy Suites, it's $25 per day. If you go in the main entrance of the same structural garage, it's only $15 a day. Make sure you park in the main garage because the front desk won't make up the difference.

United Airlines FAILED to make our connecting flight, and we were forced into an extended layover in Chicago. I had to pay out of pocket for the hotel so I made a reservation at the Embassy Suites in Rosemont. The day had been long, difficult, and tiring. We finally made it to the hotel late in the evening and I was immediately met by friendly, competent staff that had me checked in within minutes of my arrival. The room was clean, the bed was warm, and my sense of order restored. Thank you Embassy Suites in Rosemont!

It can be hit and miss with the service. Hot water is out sometimes in the morning as well. More than a few times I ended up taking a very cold shower. The last time I started here I was scheduled for two days. They upgraded me the first day to a premium room but then made me switch rooms the next day because I was not upgraded the second day. I tried to complain but no one would listen.
