Ameristar Casino Vicksburg Review

Seafood Friday buffet isn't as good as there Sunday dinner buffet...

No food, stunk like cigarettes & no alcohol to be found. Finally got the cocktail waitress who was I ve but watered down drinks in small plastic cups. Maybe not during the pandemic they will be better. We also parked a tractor trailer security showed us where to park after going to the 2nd entrance.

I visit this casino about every few months, descent environment, and service, just remember to go for fun and not expect to win,hardly ever see anyone win anything.

In the past Ameristar always had an awesome staff. But now it has a completely magnificent staff now that the security supervisor back in 2016 is gone and replaced with someone who is tactful and respectful to people in a stressed situation

Room was a little dated and when I left I got a cup of coffee and they wouldn't let me take it to the car I had to go and pay for a cup at the gas station up the hill cashier at VIP really really nice and professional also when I got cash I give you back your percentage they usually keep like that

Every time I have went and play slots I never see no one win any thing or myself have never hit nothing and there know fun there and you will be waiting for ever on a drink

Construction ruined my sleep. The hotel should be great whenever they finish.

Not what it used to be years ago. I go once a year for my daughter's birthday. Don't eat the buffet any more. Too expensive and poor quality food. We just stop at waffle House on the way home to eat.

Been there on several occasions, I don't always get the room I want but the service is definitely 5 star.

Good location great comps. Enjoyed the evening with my sister before heading back out of town.

We love staying here. Complimentary coffee in the morning. Free shuttle to the casino. Buffet has a huge variety of Southern favorites to chose.

Buffet was really good, the only thing I didn't like was the smell of cigarettes

Machines are very tight..sad the buffet still taking a hit very little food choices...

The buffet was delicious and the staff were nice, friendly, and, attentive

Played $200 and lost $200. Didn't hit anything. Also, cigarette smoking was the the roof! Cough cough.
On vacation, just stopped by for a bit

It's a little bit crowded but I liked the fact that they had a lot of the older machines they were tight and not going to bonus but with so many of the other casinos upgrading to all of these new conflicting games it was a breath of fresh air knowing I could play the games that I understand.

Enjoyed playing the slots wish that I could have won my a jackpot for Christmas to paid all my bills before the new years really did enjoyed yesterday hope to come back soon

It's too many giveaway and not enough letting people win it takes me 1hr to drive over there and we can't play but 1hr because the machines are so dam tight 400 dollars down the drain

I love going to Ameristar. It's the only casino I go to in Vicksburg. I like several of the new slot machines. I also have my favorite that I play often. I enjoy the food there at each restaurant. Let's not forget the All You Can Eat Crablegs night. Thanks, Ameristar

Buffet has a wide variety of delicious food. Crab legs are awesome!

I can't speak for during the weekend, but their buffet isn't worth the money during the week. Bland food and poor selection are my main complaints. Slot variety was decent from what I saw, but I don't play enough to have a more detailed opinion.

Will never go back..price is too high and they set a time frame for you to stay..

Not like it use to be haven't hit a jackpot in 5 years haven't seen any emails promotions or mail in. from Ameristar casino and when I visited I always have to chase the waitress for a drink.

Worst casino I've ever been to..... I'm a holdem player but they didn't have it open so went sit at tbls to have something to do and the dealer made the comment.... "im not spending the rest of my shift teaching people how to play" my wife and I went spend a lot of money at casino down the street..... WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Semi parking cost you $20 and the casino is a bit small. The staff are not friendly at all. They all act like you owe them money. The buffet was awesome great food huge selection and Monday- Thursday you can add a lbs of crab for just$12.95. But the staff are not friendly at all so the atmospheric is is not good.

Never understood why casinos make non-smokers walk through the huge smoking section to get to the tiny non-smoking area. By the time you get there, you are already stinky with second-hand smoke. Why not put it off to the side near the entry?

Played here two days and spent $1500.00. The most I have hit is 2.50. In that amount of play earned 0 in rewards. Very disappointing. I will never play here again.

Food is wonderful. Crawfish was seasoned very good.

I don't enjoy gambling, was rather boring, food was over priced, buffet was open for only 4 hours, and was closed when I got there, I had to go somewhere else to eat...

Best place ever! Free drinks while you play, please tip the servers. You'll find the bar downstairs.

Hotel is up the hill from the casino and was a little tricky to find at first.

Room was very clean, comfortable and with nice amenities. There is no room service provided for dining in. There is a shuttle to and from the casino where dining options are located. I stopped here for the night as a logistical convenience only so I cannot speak to the casino aspect. It was a great place for some peaceful rest. The lack of having food delivered in room was the only drawback for me. Great otherwise.

Good place (nicest in town) Nut the wait staff was slow and surly. When my wife let her opinion be known, the waitress told security my wife had "Made her feel threatened" and without appeal they asked her to leave. We play medium/big and travel this corridor throughout the year, but will NEVER SET FOOT in Ameristsr again. They obviously spend a lot of money to gain or keep customers, but the actions of only one can ruin a place.

I don't reccomend Ameristar because you go there loose all your money sit a machine playing it for hours and you may get 1 drink! The waitress service is horrible!!!!! You can sit there for hours and will not see not a 1 waitress because they be too busy trying to serve the customers at the black Jack ,dice,table etc. They act just like they're the only people down there spending money!

It is not what it use to be. I note a decline in overall taste. It is easier to get in since the crab legs are no longer on the buffet. Not sure if we'll be back...

Well, I didn't have a chance to stay or eat or gamble here but, I was blown away by the view of the Mississippi River! How majestic and pictureseque! It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was hopping so I would hit this place again if I have the chance!! Staff was not as professional as other Ameristar properties I have been to but still helpful.
