I loved AMERISTAR because I have some wonderful memories I cherish with some wonderful people I went with and AMERISTAR to me at least gives people chances to win. Iv seen more win at AMERISTAR then any other casinos. I just wish they would still give free meals or cigarettes every now and then. Other then that its wonderful.
Never any beverage service anymore if you're playing slots, just cant hit a thing here.
Steak at the resturant are Delicious but don't get to full still have gambling to do!
Ate at the Heritage Buffet. They no longer have soft serv ice cream, but they make up for it with a huge variety of vegetables. Delicious.

The staff are friendly but it's super hard to get any service there. And I've been in the service industry for over 20 years and a bartender for 20 years and they said that I wasn't qualified to get a job there after being there as a customer anybody would be qualified because there's several people trying to get service there and it wasn't possible..... sad
It was nice & I had fun, but it was too cold for me downstairs and I wished it was a smoke-free environment.

$12.99 for a Lb of crab legs in addition to the buffet is a bad idea. Food was not fresh and the crab legs were skimpy.
Lost money as usual and pretty sure I got food poisoning from a grilled chicken salad at Bella's and my husband had Seafood platter, everything was fried to long, everything hard!

Most of the machines look like they're from the 90s, the food service and bar service are non-existent. The drinks are mostly water. The building is pretty that's about the only plus. The lady driving the shuttle bus was friendly.
We reserved a room at this location as we were passing through from TX. The room cost was $109. The initial feel of the hotel is not very welcoming and almost gives you the feel of a newer model inn. Our room #423 was at the end of the hall. The room was obviously not cleaned thoroughly and we expecting at least a deep cleaning considering it was during COVID. The bathtub was dirty, one of the pillows was dirty and there was hair on the lampshade. While I understand that cleaning of hotel rooms can be very tedious, it is still very necessary to ensure a thorough cleaning of these rooms. We'll know better next time than to "pay" to stay here.
HOTEL ADDENDUM: We woke up this morning to find a roach in the bathroom. When I proceeded to check out and explain my concerns with the cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel, the representative simply brushed it off. If we re in a pandemic that involves proper cleanliness this sure isn t a great example.
Now let's talk about this make-shift, money sucking casino. Do not pass go and you won't have to worry about collecting $1 dollar. This sham shack is a scam that waits to take your money. I went in and spent $500 in about 30 minutes. It was money that I was planning on losing, but still at least winning $200 would be exciting and make it worth the while.
I had a wonderful time at the Ameristar Casino. The staff was very friendly and the environment was electric and fun. Highly recommended.
Small casino and had poor food. Also very loud inside. The RV parks roads are horrible!

Always a great time, with great staff. My only complaint is that the cocktail waitresses are very, VERY slow.
I liked the casino and the staff of the casino but when we went to eat dinner at the upstairs steak house we got seated right away but never got waited on by the waitress so we left and went downstairs to the cafe and had excellent service and food there. Would highly recommend the cafe over the steak house.
I loose almost every time. Food and room rewards are the worst of all casinos I've been too.
The Ameristar Casino in Vicksburg, although not the prettiest casino I have been to, was pretty fun. The staff is super friendly, a large selection of games. And for a change I walked out fairly even instead of in the hole.
Sitting in the dining area of the buffet now, wondering why I just spent $32.95 ea. For this terrible food. I can't believe this place was rated number one for the last 12 years. Seriously, I've had better "seafood" from Captain D's. Spend your hard earned money some place else because this place is a joke.

You just don't win. If you do, it is taken back very quickly so if you do hit STOP PLAYING .THE ONLY EMPLOYEES I FIND FRIENDLY ARE THE WHITES AND BLACKS AZAD ND HOUSEKEEPING, THE INDIANS ARE RUDE, ACT LIKE YOU COMING TO THEIR ESTABLISHMENTS ARE INTRUSIVE, AND THEY YOU LITERALLY DISGUST THEM.

Courteous staff, comfortable bed. Room smelled of cigarette smoke and the furnishings were a bit dated.
Great Place. Didn't stay at hotel. We paid for Truck Parking. Casino and Buffet were Amazing.
Buffet is great when fresh, first visit casino host stopped in and like magic food was refilled/replaced, buffet staff was available and cleaning instead of hiding in back or huddled in a corner chit chatting. Ofcourse as soon as he was gone so was everyone else, but the food when fresh was great. Wait staff was great. Casino was nice and clean and fun.

Not a big fan. Just a different type of machines than I am use to at Winstar or Choctaw. Buffet was supposed to be voted best 12 years running. They must have only ate the fried chicken or catfish. They were ooff the chain good. Everything else eeh.
I'd give zero stars if I could. Came to check into our room and their system was down. Staff didn't seem to care and made us wait in the lobby at 2am despite us calling ahead.
Love the Buffet!! You have SOO many things to choose from & the crab legs are delicious!! And I love the fact you allow kids to eat at your establishment because I got the chance to take my Baby Girl for her birthday since she love crab legs as much as I do!!

Very nice hotel...Best accommodations versus the other three Vicksburg casinos. Nice selection of tables and slot machines... Biggest casino in terms of size.

Great place to gamble. Dealers are first class very nice funny and personable. I had a great time hanging out and playing here. Love the fact they hand deal on most games.
