I attend the casino. I played the slots and enjoyed the variety of machines that they had. The waitresses were friendly and readily available.

It's a beautiful casino! I just prefer Hollywood Casino ONLY bc I feel I have better luck there. But I will say Ameristar has some beautiful hotel rooms I love the huge window and steps in the rooms!!!

I have never been here b4. I was impressed with the number and variety of restaurants (many closed due to the rona) and it looks a crazy fun place to be.....post rona

If I could give this place a zero, I would. This place is a joke. Came in around 9:30 this morning. They interrogate the hell out of your ID and after about 5 minutes of wasting your time they finally let you in. The we proceeded to go to the tables and they checked your ID there. We left that table and walked to the next one and they check you there. Checked out IDs THREE TIMES IN 20 MINUTES. If you want to have a good time and go to an actual casino where you would have fun, go to Hollywood right down the road. The minimum bets here are ridiculous especially for early morning when nobody is here. Avoid this place, I m telling you. Especially if you re under 30. They interrogate the hell out of you.

Ameristar has become the filthiest casino around...smokers leave ashes all over everything, not to mention the drinks and containers everywhere...in the entire casino, I saw one person doing cleanup work.

Games in the non smoking area were older. Air quality hazard. If you are not a smoker stay away. Simply aweful.

Would be much better if you offered some type of shuttle service from the garage to the Casino. Much to long of a walk.

The rooms are great and the swimming pool and hot tub is off the chain.. lots of fun stuff to do.

I receive free bonus money to play every month, along with offers to enter contests and promotions, so I take advantage of this as often as I can. I love the new machines, the updates in decor, and the overall atmosphere. It's definitely one of the most elegant casinos that I've ever visited. The buffet is also PHENOMENAL, boasting a variety of tasty foods, and tons of desserts. If you choose to stop in, you will definitely NOT be disappointed!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed for a weeknight getaway. The hotel and casino staff we encountered were super friendly. The room was big and beautiful and clean. The only complaints were the TV in the bathroom didn't work well and the pad thai at the Asia restaurant was certainly not your typical pad thai. Otherwise we had a great experience. This place is like a small city! We will definitely come back.

Only giving it 3 stars because of 2 main complaints: (1) the casino floor has a cigarette stinch that will make your eyes burn and hair smell after you leave, and (2) the towels at the hotel spa by the pool are as rough as sandpaper and literally scratched my back trying to dry off. Are they too cheap for a soft towel? It was pretty ridiculous. Also has anyone noticed the 2" band of filth that lines the walls and hallways in the hotel because their vacuum doesn't fit flush with the wall so they just leave it looking disgusting?

Was si much fun they had old school pennies up upstairs! Escalates on both sides of the casino up!

Always have a great time at Ameristar. The employees are really nice and attentive. Beautiful building and architecture. Had drinks at the Bottleneck Blues bar, awesome place, st louis memorabilia. Casino is perfect, everything a gambler would want.

Very clean and welcoming, beautiful fountain to take photos by too. Been coming here since I was very little! I do however wish wish wish there were some sort of staff in the arcade.

Great hotel, it's nice and clean with a great view of the river on one side. The bathroom is very beautiful as well with a T.V. and and a decent size bathtub and shower.

The only thing that bothers me about Ameristar is their rewards program. Or lack thereof I should say.. we play here a lot but we play only slots, but the ONLY free play we ever get is $1 or $2 in the form of a piece of paper redeemable ONLY at any table game. Does this even mk sense? I know they lose quite a bit of our business while we're at Lumiere Place playing with $40-$60 worth of free play every week. Just saying..

I recently had my honeymoon here. Everything was better than I expected. Clean room, friendly staff, and great view of the river made this day very special for me and my husband.

If you like cigarette smoke, this is your place. We went for dinner, and found it to be average. We don't gamble in the casino because of the smoke.

My experience at the Ameristar Hotel is always positive. I've stayed here several times and each time has been great. The rooms are always super clean and feel extremely luxurious.

The room say no smoking but have a horrible Smokey smell, don t have microwaves. Clean and beautiful room. Nice Italian pasta restaurant amazing, little expensive but totally worth it. The casino need pay for drinks even if you gambler is very rude, in Vegas is not like that is free everywhere. The room we pay is 179 no breakfast, and haven t King bed just two queens. Really nice gym. So 3 stars

It was just okay. A lot of new age wacky machines IMO. Heavy smoke (big turnoff for me). Friday night buffet was 30$ per person.

I stayed in one of the AmeriStar Casino Hotel suites, on May 15th 2019, i was supposed to stay for 2 nights, but my stay was cut short because I was bitten by a bed bug, I had to call management at 5 am. We left the hotel by 5:30am..we canceled our stay..all they could do was offer a free meal..my new clothes are ruined. These were the one of complementary rooms for being a Vip....they haven't heard the last, and I have pictures.

I stayed from Monday Jan 22 to Thurs Jan 25. Monday after we checked in my husband and I went out to dinner. When we came back there was a woman standing in the middle of my room arguing with her boss about cleaning my room out. Now Monday was my birthday, and my husband had bought many gifts, clothes, jewelry, perfume, Flowers, Bloons etc, and he had the items placed in different locations all over the room so the room was CLEARLY occupied. So we had to have back and forth with the front desk who said they accidentally put another person in our room and transferred us to another room. That was day one. Day 2 we are going in and out the room all day. At 5 in the evening we come back from dinner and our keys don't work. We go back down to the front desk who said the locked our doors because there was no card on file. Apparently when THEY made the mistake with the rooms, they erased all of our information including the cards and that's why there was no card on file. The first two days were very inconvenient. We've stayed there several times before abs have never had this many problems. But this time was crazy

I am not a huge fan of casinos or gambling so the review is just based off of comparing ameristar to other casinos. I did work there and appreciated how they treat their staff. Good food and great service as a guest though

The experience was great, view over the river was a plus. Wanted to swim, but the storms canceled that. Two things kept from a 5 was price and very poor water pressure in shower

Casino was alot of fun. Parking was easy. Rooms are all suits. It's not a riverboat but that's okay. Restaurant's are set up like being on an outside street but inside.

For as nice as it looks outside the smoke is overbearing. In all the casinos I've been to, by far the worst.

Went there to celebrate my 21st at the casino and had a great time. All the employees were super nice!

So, i went up here to watch the rest of the blues game with a buddy that was staying there. Gotta say that the rooms are fantastic, not too mention the food and drinks are delightful. I will say, you pay more than one should for the food and drinks...but it seemed to be worth it.

One of the best casinos in Saint Louis area. It is more than just a Casino, its like a vacation getaway in you're own backyard.

For some reason they don't let truckers park there anymore overnight???? They had no problem taking our money before. Did something happen? It was nice to play, eat and drink, then sleep it off and not have to worry. I wonder if the one in KC is doing the same???

Plenty of dining and entertainment options here. The rooms are very nice. Great place to stay and not far from the airport.

This place is bigger than a football stadium and alot friendlier. It was packed to the gills, I mean people shoulder to shoulder, no 3 ways about it. I play video poker and there still was no shortage of quarter games of all races and creeds. A nickel machine you might have to hunt but you would find one and play it eventually if you did. Parking was a breeze, the no smoking section was large, and except for the crowd, I had a great time losing. But I swear I was going to hit any minute...

Drinks were good. Had a good time walking through the casino. My friends lost to the house

Amazingly nice rooms and inviting environment. Went for a wedding and the chapel and conference room for the reception were very pleasant. Stayed the night, due to an open bar, and the room was of a nice design. The beds were comfortable, only complaint is it never really got as cool in the room as I would have liked, no matter what the thermostat was set to. But the room was clean and we'll made, even fairly odor free considering being on a smoking floor. Staff was friendly in all areas of the complex, had a few enjoyable conversations with them out of the blue. Selection of places to eat was good as well. Good overall experience.

Won 500...would have been 5 stars but the waitress in the sports Cafe was very rude.

Place has terrible service and an ignorant staff. Getting into the actual casino it if you're under 40 is a chore and a disservice to patrons. Check out remodeled Hollywood down the street, much cleaner newer amenities better service. I've been disallowed 3 times over the past 6 months for "showing signs of intoxication" and have been sober 8 years. I'll spend my money elsewhere

I am a trucker and I was told that I could stay for a couple of hours but then I had to leave which is crazy when we have a log book to adhere to. Also they have a parking lot with (a lot of parking) separate form cars that would be awesome for us to park. Also was told by "security" that it's an city ordinance and i might get an ticket. So I will make it my business to inform every trucker that I come in contact with "not to come and spend your hard earned money if you cant at least do an 10 hour break there.

Had a great time playing penny slots at this casino. It had great payout! We ate at the sports bar before entering the casino. It was good.. A little pricey on the food and drinks though. In the casino itself, it was nice because there is no smoking of any kind... Including vaping...so you don't go home smelling like a cigarette butt.

Very classy and still looks pretty much brand new... I would say id visit more often but they LOVE to take all my money lol

Rooms always nice and clean. We brought our son with us and he couldn't swim because they changed the hours that kids can be in the pool.

Nice place. Great seafood at Pearl's Oyster Bar. Don't really care for the second hand smoke. Wish they go smoke free. It doesn't make much sense to have a smoking floor downstairs and the no smoking floor on the second floor. Smoke rises. It defeats the purpose.

I always have a great time at Ameristar; their rooms are large and beds are extremely comfortable. My favorite restaurant is Pearl's; if your a seafood lover like myself I would definitely recommend it for you!

I'm very disappointed with Amerisrar casino because someone join in with them and they let them run the casino like it's a takeover. I use to be a emerald cardholder but they took my card, once in my life I signed off the casino in Missouri and Illinois.
So after 5 yrs I signed back on because I had things under control. But Illinois don't accept you back once you've signed off, I feel like that's wrong.
No one can tell you how to spend your money but you!!.. I enjoy going in the casino after my mom passed because we use to go together and she knew that it relaxed me tremendously. I'm thinking about leaving it alone all together because it's not fair to the players. Come to find out I'm not the only person they did this to, Every one said that they're going to another casino......

Great atmosphere for the night. Every member of staff that I ran into was friendly and helpful. The food (we ate at Pearl's Oyster Bar) was fantastic! A little pricey, but I think it was worth it. The only downfall was the restroom. Only one case had paper towels and you could have gone swimming on the sinks. Overall a fantastic time thoigh!

This is more of a review for Ryse Nightclub! That place brings in the best talent in the business on Saturday nights. With a lot of help and support from B&W Productions and Disco Donnie.

We were at Bottleneck Blues Bar to see the Platinum Rock Legends who were absolutely entertaining. The bar never disappoints nor do the PRL!!!!

Had a good time having drinks and playing poker. I'm an over the road truck driver. While I was inside spending money, these people had the nerve to put a note on my truck saying that overnight parking was not permitted and that my truck would be towed. I didn't move as that would have been illegal and I wasn't bothered. So what was the point of the threatening letter? I've spent thousands over the years at Ameristar. Never been treated like this in Kansas City.

This is by far my favorite casino. It's my go to. Employees are friendly and professional. The casino floor is one of the better looking ones around. The hotel is great as well and I find the rooms more appealing than others and are far more reasonable in price. The jackpots are better and I tend win more here as well. It's a win win when you come to Ameristar!!

Favourite hotel in town. Nice large suite rooms, great indoor outdoor connecting pool with a hot tub. Good buffet restaurant. Beautiful casino with free soft drinks / coffee tea. Always have fun here with families and friends.

The hotel was acceptable, but I found the bed uncomfortable. The pillows were enormous, so I had trouble sleeping with a straight neck. The food at Falcon Diner was very good, and the kids enjoyed the arcade and indoor pool. I was a little irritated that I was carded on the way in to the casino, when I sat down to play, and even when I payed for my meal at the diner, considering I am clearly over 30. Seemed excessive.

I got a room there for my Birthday just so I can relax and going swimming with my children. My check in time was at 4 p.m. and they didn't have my room ready until 6 p.m., no one said anything about it! I guess that how it goes there but I've never had to wait that long anywhere else.. Order some food from the restaurant down but the casino and it was horrible. The pool was close most of my time there.. Then the young lady from room service walks in our room and tells us that we had check out!! I pissed!! Went down to speak with a manager and he tell me that I had checked out online at 7a.m. but we didn't up until after 8!! No one could tell me how that happened... Never ever ever I pay that much money to stay at a place where they treat you like you don't belong!!!

Lately I've been going to Ameristar to play Zoltar and man I Love that game it's the only game I've sat down at and won the jack pot like 7 times. Tonight I went and only lost 45 gave my girlfriend 20 she won $444.67

Great place! Friendly staff. The casino is very nice, lots of great restaurants and music venues. Great bang for the buck. Beautiful indoor/outdoor pool.

We gamble here and stay in the hotel. We love the experience. The only thing that would make the experience much better is if they would extend the swimming times til 8pm for the kids to enjoy the pool. When you have to check in at 4pm then get settled in the room by the time you get to the pool you only have about an hour to swim together as a family. It really isn t family friendly especially for the prices you pay for the rooms.
Could management please look into this request?

The casino was fun, but I'm not a smoker so when people would have their cigarettes lit and blowing their smoke in your direction, it's gross. Other than that, it was a fun place to lose money.

Beautiful hotel and very clean! Has thid feeling of being it's "own tiny town within a town" feeling. I'm a smoker, anymore you can't get such a beautiful room where you're actually allowed to smoke indoors! Win-Win-Win!!

Great casino to go on a trip and visit. Our room had a lovely view but could use some updating as it was very outdated and needed a new bed. The casino itself is pretty large and includes a wide variety of games. If you re looking for a fun night out on the town or a vacation away to have some fun, I would recommend giving Ameristar a try!
