Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles Review

Really nice place...better yet we came out with more money we arrived with. Beautiful casino.

The facility is always clean and the staff gives an enjoyable experience anytime I have needed information.

The Ameristar is great! I specifically love the Landmark buffet, they have a delicious brunch on Sundays. The rooms are generally very clean and they have a lovely view. The interior is great for pictures whether it's for prom or weddings. The hotel has a beautiful lobby and it's a comfortable spot to lounge around and chat. The staff is generally very friendly. My only complaint is that the casino reeks of cigarette smoke. Other than that, it's a great!

It was ok, like Hollywood much more. Everyone much more friendly.

Stayed here for a business event near by, very pleased with the hotel and staff. The hotel room it's self was beautiful. I could not be more happier.

It's a large casino in St Charles. It has the usual buffet, steak house and non paying slot machines

Great service at the restaurants and the rooms are amazing. The indoor and outdoor pool are fun for my little cousins and I enjoy using the fitness room

A little too crowded for my opinion but its a fun place to visit and the casino was pretty cool.

Comfortably spacious rooms, and excellent service. The perfect place for a restful night's sleep, or a fun couples night away.

The only thing that I think would have made my experience better, would be a smoother check in process; and ability to guarantee specific rooms or room types based upon your reservation.

This is a service Ameristsr Hotels elsewhere excel at, but the St Charls, MO location seems to struggle with.

I heat the place never win nothing next time I'm going I going to drop the money in the front that way I'm not lose money and time

The venue we visited was awesome for Comedy and Dancing- Chicago style Steppers

Clean, not smoky, plenty of machines, dedicated and cheerful employees, and clean restrooms. Lots of fun especially if you're winning!!!

Service was great, but the smell of smoke in the gambling floor is intense.

If you want to get the Corona virus this is the place to go. Hardly anyone was wearing a mask and when security was questioned everyone had a different answer. They said it was impossible to enforce it. My answer was to give a warning, and the second time remove them, done deal. The most honest answer was that they needed the money and couldn't risk running off the people that can't wait to give their money away. So much for rules when the almighty dollar is more important than your health. Also no one was cleaning anything like they said they were. Please do not patronize this place and maybe things will change. It will be a long time before we give them any more of our money.

Food for the buffet was pretty good. Quite a few choices and it wasn't tasteless like it is at some buffets. Staff is friendly. Price is towards the higher side for a buffet.

It was very nice. A great place to stay and the hot tub was magnificent....

Went to grab a drink with a friend and hit the casino. As always plenty of parking, clean and everyone I spoke to was nice. Now if only I had a bit more luck to go with the rest of the experience.

Best one in st louis area. Has the wow factor that the others are lacking. Also you can smoke any where you want to in this place. I LOVE IT... ITS LIKE WE LIVE IN A FREE COUNTRY AGAIN ! When you walk in here you will enjoy it.

It was my first time gambling at the Ameristar. I was very impressed. The security was friendly, the bathrooms were clean, it didn't smell like smoke too bad either. Will definitely be going back in the future.

I had drinks wirh a friend at the King Kat Club. The bartender didn't make my drink properly but other than that everything else was fine

I love the spacious rooms, my daughter has plenty of room to play! The pool is wonderful as well!

This is one of our 2 "go to" casinos in the St Louis area (the other is Hollywood). Hotel is a little more pricey than Hollywood but way nicer. It's a lot harder to get rooms "comped" here. The casino is clean. Not horribly smokey (but it is smokey) staff is great and the shops and restaurants on the walkway to the casino are pretty nice, too. Not too far from Old Town St. Charles where there are a ton of bars and shops (a tad further than walking distance but pretty darn close). Enjoy! And good luck!

It was wonderful. I asked them to sing me a song and they did a barbershop quartet. Simply splendid

I love this place such a great place to go and relax and enjoy.

Nice, clean and large room with a great view. Elevators we're speedy, even going to and from the 23rd floor. Check-in was terribly slow and created a line of 10 guests long at a minimum (At least the lobby is huge and beautiful). Check-out was super simple.

This is basically a review of their conference center, which is great. In really good condition and you cant really tell that you are in a casino when in the conference center part.

I did however go into the night club as well because my conference had a party, and it is also in great condition, and has a wonderful staff.

The food here is never bad as well. The only downsides are the smoking and the fact that it's full of the kind of people that go to a casino.

They are no longer sanitize the machine like they suppose to do. The server is. not coming around asking do we need a drink . They are not empty ash trays nor cleaning around the machine ( really). U have one entrance open & that's not right. U all need to get ot together u turn it lights on to get change no one come. Poor service

Love this hotel. Something for everyone. Suites are gorgeous. Tons of luxury. Boogie Nights... yes please.

98% of the machines here will not even allow you to play, much less win. Just eats up your money in no time.

I've passed by this casino several times when I've come through St Louis and always have been absolutely mesmerized by it.. So, tonight I finally got to go! My husband took me and we had a GREAT TIME.. it's gorgeous and I only made it to the casino but I would LOVE to check out the hotel as well sometime.. we definitely see ourselves returning.. if you get the chance, check it out.

Don't go unless you willing to lose a lot of money,just to maybe win back what you lose.

Inside the Casino on the 2nd floor is a Grill that makes some great sandwiches.

First casino I visited when I got to Missouri. It's kind of far for a daily commute, but I always have a great time.

Buffet was great. Enjoyed the crablegs especially. Wait staff was outstanding. Restrooms need more attention. Will visit again

Ive spent many nights at the hotel. We found bed bugs last time. We had the staff come up, they verified and told us how to make sure our clothes and bags weren't infected. NO COMPS FOR ANYTHING! They literally gave us nothing. Havent been to casino or hotel since, and won't be back.

it was nice, but the pastry shop in the falcon diner took forever to get my food, there was only one lady working it

We came here to use the pool. Paid more money for the pool. And the pool is close to our children. Turn the great stay into. A nice to take a shower for $200.

1st time going and I loved it. Although the parking garage sucked.

The lines were long for the bar the bar closer to the blackjack table was miserably slow the bar further from the blackjack table was very quick and did a great job give those bartenders a bonus

Our trip was amazing Thanks to the HOST Carree she made it possible for us to get a room even with the trouble of their system going down and in the time of waiting for our room she took us down to the buffet to eat which was awesome she went above and beyond to make us happy and I really appreciate her the room was amazingly Beautiful and comfortable the only thing I was unhappy with was there was stains on the couch and the arm of the chair white dried up spots that should have been cleaned prior to renting out Room 1920 we had to take the sheet off the 2nd bed just to throw on the couch to sit down we were a little disturbed by that but other than that everyone we came in contact with was very pleasant we would definitely be back we just know to cover the furniture up next time!

For almost 200$ per night, I expected a bit more of a hotel. For example included breakfast or lunch/dinner. Aside from that the room was really nice, but smelled like a smoker's room even though we asked for a non-smoking room. We had a great view on the Missouri River. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the pool/spa.

Wonderful and spacious bathroom. Non smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. Room clock moved only 45 minutes during overnight stay.

Only went to the casino, but it was fun. Wish they would've had a couple cooler slot machines though. Staff was friendly and punctual!

Drinks came quick, waiter took the time to take a photo, everything was clean, would come again.

Very tight slots , hard to get bonuses and when you do it doesn't pay any thing . Very disappointed

Rooms were spacious and beautiful with a luxurious bathroom. Food was good. Spa and pool area were great!

This was my first time at Ameristar and I can promise I will never go there again. Its not entertaining at all. It looks old and dirty. Not appealing at all.

It a fun place to go when you don't really fill like being at home, you can profit while you are hanging out! It really not far from anywhere and they have good food and open 24/7.

Big wonderful place come in on Ameristar Boulevard heading east runs right into the casino.

Visiting the casino is always a good time. Friendly dealers and staff make things enjoyable while you play your games etc. The Craps tables are a lot of fun!

Service was outstanding. Room very spacious and clean. Most relaxing time in years. Stores and restaurants were all reasonable priced and great service.

Loved this spot and Jodi is an awesome masseuse. Lovely space, the fresh towels are fragrant with lavender and eucalyptus. The cold towels were amazing and perfect for after the massage. Bring a swimsuit I'd you fancy a quick swim before or after.

We ate at the steak and pasta restaurant (I can't remember the name). It was absolutely delicious and our server went above and beyond to help us celebrate our anniversary. We then gambled for a little while and the dealer at the table we were at was a lot of fun and helpful for unskilled players like ourselves. Highly recommend.

Loved this casino....Especially after winning 900.00!!!

This is our favorite casino in the STL area. So pretty inside and so many machines to choose from. The entire 2nd floor is non-smoking, so that's nice for us non smokers.

This place is wonderful! Awesome, friendly staff, large selection of games! You will enjoy it!

I stayed at the hotel last night and found the room we had booked to be below expectations. There was a broken picture on the wall with shards of glass in the frame and on the floor. Only 1 of the 2 tvs worked and the table tops all looked greasy/not well cleaned. I will say the bed was very comfortable and the shower worked very well.

Nice atmosphere. Very secure and orderly. Buffet was outstanding. Lots of shopping and ambiance. Right on the river.

My friends and I went to have drinks at the bar. Our bartenders were attentive and friendly. There were plenty of seats for us to sit back and have a great time.

One of the nicer casinos in the area. Most table games offered. Plenty of slots. Hotel and spa. Nightclub and sports bar. Plenty of parking. Valet available. Drinks are overpriced considering it's a casino (I understand it's not in Las Vegas).
