We went in for dinner unfortunately without a reservation. The last two times I was there without reservations using my Black Card Amex no issues..I was traveling with a group for work. Tonight after telling my wife how nice I have enjoyed this restaurant we pulled in...the kind gentlemen at the door said try the restaurant next door we have no reservations available. We pulled up next door walk down to the restaurant found that it was closed so we walk back to try to walk in and wait for a table to open up. Went out side met a fine bartender named Patrick. Fun and exciting. Went inside to put our name in for dinner. The manager was on the phone and his entire team was standing around waiting for him for direction. A restaurant that sat more than 80 seats had six seated and with all the open tables said they did not think they could seat us. After standing there to wait for the manager to get off the phone to see if we could sit in the empty restaurant. We made the decision to thank them and leave. As a customer I feel that the owners may not know what is going on and hopefully someone that is willing to do more than most reads this review. You are as good as your last customer.....it s easy to do nothing and unfortunately that s what we experienced tonight. I am not on social media and for the record this is my first review..... As a business owner I understand how hard it is to create a culture and the bigger you get its harder to keep core values....

Review for the restaurant. We were seated by the sweet hostess in our choice of booth with a beautiful view. The food was very good. Service was terrible. We are not demanding but sat for 15 min with empty appetizer plates and empty drink glasses and couldn t flag any one of the servers with a mostly empty restaurant. As we were enjoying the view two regulars (clearly a sugar daddy as he looked like Gru and she was moderately attractive) came in and immediately pulled downtown the window shade so there went our view. Tried once again after sitting for another 15 min to get our check and finally grabbed the matre d who had just been complaining to the regular couple about the group party that was happening. He dropped chocolates down even though my 11yr old who constantly is being told she can t eat things bc of her peanut allergy and then had to take them back. For a 5 star hotel we were very surprised. We had a better steak at Locale in town btw. We may look like an unassuming family but my husband does work in NYC with some of the biggest hoteliers in the world. He is sorry he cannot recommend this restaurant.

We were very underwhelmed with our stay at the Amangani for our honeymoon and would never consider returning given the hotel was unresponsive to any of our issues/complaints both while at the hotel and following our stay.

The list of issues and disappoints are pretty much endless, but to name a few:

During our stay the Amangani closed the restaurant and all in-room dining due to "a guest who had stayed there over a week ago testing positive for COVID." As a result, there was no full menu of food at any point during the day, the minimal available picnic snacks weren't available after 4pm, and we could not get any beverage service. It made zero sense why the safest dining option (in-room) would be eliminated due to COVID, but housekeeping could continue to enter our room and valet was welcome to get into our cars. We sat by the pool on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon but were not allowed to get even a can of beer. Although another couple on their honeymoon were somehow offered a chilled bottle of wine, but we were denied the same courtesy when went to the front desk for the same request (there was no staff in sight to answer any of these questions).

The telephone in our room did not work and bedside lamps were hanging out of the wall and couldn't be used. The pillows were extremely old and lumpy.

On the one day we were allowed to dine in the restaurant (the first before the COVID scare) it took 30 minutes before a server came to our table.

The spa treatments performed by the therapists completely veered from what we requested and paid for.

We were hoping to enjoy a very relaxing honeymoon, but rather I had to complain to a dining manager, return to the front desk multiple times asking for help with our in-room telephone issue, and left multiple requests to speak with the hotel manager but never received a response. Following our stay I emailed and called the hotel, but have never heard back from anyone.

Really quite a shame that such a beautiful place is so poorly run and for the exorbitant cost you'd expect the respect shown to guests to be par-none, unfortunately we left feeling ripped off.

Massive disappointment overall. Rooms are dated, faucets dont work, staff aloof, food is mediocre, frequently out of beer/liquor/beverages. recommend staying at the 4 seasons. way more value for dollar. If you are expecting a 3 star michelin restaurant experience, dont stay here. We reached out to AMAN to relay out issues and they assured us the GM Stuart Lang would reach out to us, but he lacked professionalism and never addressed anything. if he did i would noted and given 3 stars for at least attempting to address our concerns.

The experience was unbelievable. We went here for Christmas and Santa stopped by with specific gifts for each child. The staff make you feel like you're staying with friends instead of getting lost as a room number at most resorts. We swam in the pool during -10 degree weather while elk roamed nearby. Watched movies in the library and received gifts on our bed on Christmas Eve. I cannot say enough good things. When you arrive and the general manager opens your door, you know it's going to be great. James and Chandler put our stay over the top. Determined to return as soon as possible.

We loved our week stay at the Amangani! The hotel was superb! The view of the Grand Tetons was heavenly. The staff was down-to-earth and very accommodating; we especially enjoyed Michael, Tony, Raziel, Alyssa, Lupe, Chelsea, and Marcela! They were so lovely...., top notch!

The location was central enough to travel quickly to Teton Village or Jackson. Yellowstone was a relatively short drive from the hotel. There were plenty of excursions to enjoy. We loved the horseback riding and white water rafting. However, the highlight of our entire trip with the Amangani, its staff, facilities, and grounds!

Thank you Amangani for the family trip of a life time!

Sincerely,
Kathleen and Allie

If you're looking for a good food experience look ...

If you're looking for a good food experience look elsewhere. Dinner was not very good.

Started with cocktails. These were inventive and delicious, a habenero hisbicus tequila cocktail was our favorite.

Appetizers were also very good. The Kale and Beet salad was absolutely delectable especially for being out of season. Also had the onion soup which was OK, the bread was perfect, but the chef really was afraid to add salt (this seems to be a theme).

The main courses were bland, uninspiring, and I really do not believe they locally source the meat.

The pork chop was over cooked and did not have a good flavor. Also the quality of the meat matches pork bought from a super market and not a locally sourced farm. The spetzle was extremely bland.

The califlower entree could have been so much better, but the califlower was over cooked, borderline mushy, and the Belgian endive was prepared completely wrong. They cooked the hell of out it making it too bitter, they also didn't remove the white core which is common practice. Also some blanching would have gone a long way.

Dessert was also a chore. A blackberry sorbet was good, but the serving was too large. The creme brulee was trying to be something new and interesting but fell flat as it was too soupy, and the citrus flavor was overpowering, but lacked any acidity.

Is seemed like the chef was not tasting what he cooked.

Beautiful property and rooms, every nuance catered to your liking and preference. The subtle nod to Amangani's Japanese roots and Jackson Hole-inspired ruggedness offer the perfect backdrop for either adventure or relaxation or both! A must-stay if you're ever in the area. ;) We're in town for a romantic getaway.

One night, dinner was fantastic. Surprise treat of cocktails and stargazing after dinner. It was eclipse weekend and they made it so special. We saw Saturn and its rings through a telescope, mind blowing! Our pictures at sunset are the most gorgeous and we had and was one of the only times my son didn't have to be told to smile, it was all pure joy. Once seated at breakfast they asked if we'd like our room cleaned while we were eating. O e cannot ask for better service.
If I could sit at that pool reading a book overlooking the Tetons for the rest of my life, that'd be fine with me.

Beautiful location and beautiful property with pretty good food and quite nice rooms but at $2000 it simply is overpriced. Amans in other parts of the world are better and half the price. The value just isn't there anymore.

One of my favorite places in the world! We have stayed at Amangani twice, and upon arrival on our second visit, the staff greeted us with "Welcome Home" -- if only we could live there!

Amazing property. Incredibly designed, very quiet, the best place to go when you need to unwind. While Amangani is not located on the mountain for ski in/ ski out access, it's even better... Far from the crowds and they offer the shuttle & ski lodge at the base of the mountain.

The food is insanely delicious, so we ate all our meals on site.

The team that works there is so friendly and genuinely cared to make special arrangements to ensure that we had the best experience at Amangani.

I cannot wait to go back!

We had an amazing 4 hour dinner here! We were greeted by Nikki who took great care in getting us a table with an amazing view. For the rest of the evening, Nico took care of our needs and did a great job providing details about the culinary experience we were about to embark on. His ability to articulate subtle details were paramount in our wine selection. He was extremely attentive to us during our marathon dinning experience. The food was prepared perfectly and when you add in the environment of the Amangani, it transforms you into a better place in time. We highly recommend everything about this place. Try to schedule your dinning experience closer to sunset, as the views are some of the best in Jackson Hole.

Loved the breakfasts, and food service. The views from the room at the top of mountain were spectacular in morning and for starry nights. The management was kind of a let down as this hotel had so much going for it. Too many painfully irritating issues that could have been avoided simply by making more of an effort, especially for the small ones. I found the spa to be a total disappointment as did my wife and don t recommend it.

The room itself had an amazing layout (with no direct walkout to the superb pool, as was suggested by other reviews I had read), but the carpet in the room was just plain old, not so clean.

Waking up most days without the newspaper outside my door that they confirmed with me the day before was a ridiculous way to start the day for me, and was not cool for a luxury accommodation. No reason the hair dryer or coffee machine shouldn t have been working when we arrived, and again the next day after we d noted it (even though they told me it was a simple fix which I found rude and irrelevant cause they should have fixed it without our mentioning twice).

You could ask different staff members the same question about day activities and they may all answer differently as they did for us.
The Managers greet you on the way into the hotel which makes you feel special for a moment, but as problems arise in your room or elsewhere, would have been nice to hear from them or to know they have dealt with it personally. They tried to make it up at the end, but just missed the point. I would have much preferred more customer service during the stay and less issues over some money off the price at the end of a trip, and never even asked for a discount. Some of the staff were truly amazing and it reminded us of why we chose this place.

For us Grand Teton was a better way to spend time over Yellowstone because Yellowstone was essentially a park you drive thru and hiking Grand Teton was incredible. Even saw a black bear, and had kindly been given bear spray by the hotel which we didn t need to use, but enjoyed having in our hand upon spotting the bear cub and looking out for its mamma.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever had a chance to stay in, the Amangani is THE place for a perfect uber luxe destination getaway when you are staying in Jackson. Once you arrive on top of the mountain, it's like you are in another world. Amazing service and wonderful rooms, I would 100% stay there again (I've stayed there four times and would love to stay again). I also like the restaurant and the superb spa and pool...

A wonderful place to stay. Went for my birthday. They gave me the celeb. treatment for my birthday dinner. John the General Manager of the restaurant was our "waiter" for the night. They put us in the library room by ourselves in front of a roaring fire. We had a chefs dinner with filet of beef and jumbo scallops with all the trimmings. Our car was always inside the garage and they brought it around front with a phone call. Beautiful views of the mountains outside our balcony. The BEST!!!!

Had a nice stay here 10/15, the October weather being so fickle, we were actually able to swim comfortably in the beautiful pool with views and quick access to spa. Got great tour of Yellowstone, a couple hours' drive away. Fabulous geology there, and in Jackson, such a friendly and interesting modern Western town about 15 mins. drive. Unspoiled place: Cherish this.

Aman Resort located in Wyoming, USA. There are two Aman-affiliated resorts in the U.S., Amangiri located in Utah and Amangani here. Located in Jackson Hole, a famous city in Teton National Park. When I come here, I just want to look at the scenery and be dazzled.

There are not many dining options, and you can even smore in one place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Unlike Amangiri, it does not contain food, so you can order and eat it.

Pre-meal bread gives sourdough, but it's the first time I've ever tasted sourdough. It is not sour and the skin is very crispy, so it enhances the appetite. It is said that I receive it every day at Dong's bakery.

Whether the chef is interested in Japanese food, he uses soy sauce and sweet taste as a base for cooking. Wagyu steak was served with teriyaki sauce and it was very delicious. It's not just a sweet feeling, it has a lively flavor. The name is also Japanese-style, and is proud of the wagyu beef. Eggplant dishes are roasted with miso sauce and added hummus. Eggplant and hummus go well together than I thought. The fish is ordered arctic char. It's a catfish that resembles salmon, but its texture is similar to mullet. It is said that flying fish catches a lot of fish. It's an American-style grilled fish, so it doesn't have a peculiar scent, but it goes well with the garnish.

Smore is also special when you see an Alpine-like view that you have never seen before. A special experience from Aman Resort.
