I had the opportunity to visit this beautiful property recently and I was impressed. The people are so inviting, the property so well taken care of welcoming. I hope to be able to spend more time there soon and take my wife for an extended stay.

We stayed at the luxurious Alyeska recently and had a really memorable experience. Though we flew into Anchorage, Alyeska had really great reviews online so we decided to make the trip to Girdwood. We definitely made the right decision we found amazing restaurants in Girdwood and a great helicopter company as well. Because we stayed a bit out of the regular season we were given the opportunity to stay in one of the junior suites. Though the bathroom was a bit dated, everything else about the room was great! The Giant picture window in the room gave us a great view of the mountain and the rest of the property. We were very lucky to be able to enjoy the view from our room. The hotel also has a great pool and hot tub facility. Another great view is from the hot tub looking out into the greenery. Finally, the most memorable part of the hotel is the access to the Alyeska Aerial Tram. The tram takes you up the majestic mountains and really shows you a pure view of Alaska. This was one of my best experiences on the entire trip, definitely a hotel worth staying at. I hear that the skiing here is also very memorable.

I really enjoyed attending the annual blueberry festival at Alyeska! The hotel is very nice, well maintained, and beautiful! The grounds are also beautiful! There is plenty of space for large events.

Didn't spend much time inside bc it was a beautiful day. But my boyfriend and I enjoyed attending the Fiddlehead Festival, it was so unique, the food was delicious and so many awesome crafts for sale! We spent most of our evening running around the grounds surrounding the resort. We walked along the Winner Creek Trail for a while and it was absolutely gorgeous! Perfect little hike for the family or those who are beginners. Overall an awesome experience at Alyeska!

We took my uncle from Texas skiing for the day. The conditions were borderline ok but they cleared up after noon. The staff at the hotel was wonderful and I had forgotten my ski pants so this wonderful guy in the rental shop let me use his. Thank goodness, he will never know how much I appreciate his kindness and generosity. Thank you!!

I've stayed here a few times and, overall, enjoyed my stay. However, the last time we were here for our anniversary it was "Slush Cup" and a drunk guy tried to bust into our room. Two years later we came back for a relaxing getaway. I booked the Winter Stress Relief package and boy are we going to need it. We arrived shortly after check in time and there was no parking available. I waited in the line in the lobby for 15 minutes only to be told our room wasn't ready yet and we would be put on a LIST and they would call me when it was ready. There are kids everywhere running around which is certainly not relaxing. I guess I'll just go to my room.... Oh wait, I can't. Because it's not ready yet (been waiting for 40 minutes already) . My husband and I agree - we won't be coming back.

A large hotel in the ski resort of Alyeska open all year around. Be warned in summer it s full of cruise ship passengers doing either pre or post cruise tours. Staff are not particularly friendly and for the price rooms are not spacious. Bar is full of kids running around. Difficult to avoid as there is nowhere else really to stay.

So there are two tiers of rooms. There are rooms with a good view and those that don't. The third floor and below don't have a view so book something above third floor if you want a view of the glaciers. The air conditioning either barely worked or simply wasn't there. The resort looks ver regal and nice and has some great picture spots. They provide you with everything you need. There is a heater for towels and clothes which is fancy. The resort is quite fancy otherwise! The beds are comfortable as well so it's a great place to stay!

Absolutely breathtaking beautiful here! Everything was great and we were lucky to be there for the Fiddlehead Festival! The rooms were very nice and spacious and very clean.
Next time we come to Alaska we will skip staying in Anchorage and drive the hour to stay here.

Nice they have towel warmers and robes but no microwave, fridge or coffee maker???? Huh? (Edited) Found out the fridge and coffee maker were hidden in the closet. Didn't find the microwave though.

Nice hotel, all the conveniences! We were here for skiing, and the hotel is set up specifically for that. It's got its own lift to the main part of the resort, its own ski rental on the main floor, and you can ski right up to the front door at the end of the day and walk straight up to your room! Prices are very reasonable. We had an awesome time. Gonna tell friends and family to come with us next time.

I could go on and on. I ll just leave it at their prices are outrageous, the staff is beyond rude. And when I brought my concerns to managements attention, they could care less. And to top it off they over charged my credit card! Don t have the patients to deal with these people, just going to cut my losses. Will sleep in my vehicle before I ever stay here again!

Please stay away from the Spa 1 king getaway package unless you dont mind being cramped in a uncozy room and staring at a parking lot and a tree. We believed the hype from the staff and websites as well reviews but nowhere is it delivering what we had expected. Yes we are here as writing this but gladly just for a day, this is nowhere 5 stars if your coming from california and are used to places like pelican hill resort and so on. The service and staff are not guest in mind mentality but money driven which we understand but expect better from a resort that considers itself the best of alaska. We came from anchorage from anchorage grand hotel, a small hotel and its miles different in personality in staff, service just all around better. Have a look for yourself and pay a visit to anchorage grand hotel. We are dissapointed at this "resort" which is a surprise thinking that hours ago we had only positive things in mind about it. It goes to show, you just never know until your actually there or listen to the locals.

Stayed on a spring break special. The room was clean and modern. We didn't ski but we did use the pool area. Very nice pool. A bit overcrowded with kids and teens. The pool attendant was very helpful. She gave us a tour of the facilities. I would recommend to a friend

Nice place to stay if you want to ski for a day or two and just relax afterwards instead of driving back to Anchorage. We used one of their midweek specials, which got us a room plus two all-day adult lift passes for $181.00. Our room was reasonably sized with two beds and a large TV. No fridge in room. We also ate at one the restaurants in the hotel (Aurora Bar & Grill) which had good food, though slightly more expensive than a 'regular' restaurant.

Booked a long weekend for our 27th anniversary. There is no A/C so the room was an uncomfortable 74 degrees all weekend. Pool and hot tub were closed due to a "chlorine issue" on our second night. Bar was overrun with children which is probably why we struggled to get our drinks refilled. Tram was closed. The room for the spa couples massage was like a medieval torture chamber/ operating theater complete with hoses and nozzels hanging over the masssge tables. No alcoholic beverages allowed at the fire pits. Resort?!?! Not hardly. Overpriced Motel 6 without the Motel 6 amenities. I did alert management and Scott literally read a script back to me "I'm sorry you've had this experience and I will provide your feedback to upper management." Not coming back and not recommending to family. Considering the ski revenue is dwindling I hope the new owners focus on improving the overall experience of their resort guests.
