I played violin outside at the top of Alyeska for a wedding. This summer it was too hot inside to enjoy our stay in the restaurants. The time has come for Alaska to consider air conditioning, especially for such an upscale place.

Great resort with great views. Their business office was a bit slow in responding to inquiries about venue questions. However, I have to admit the owner/manager are great. Once the problem was brought to their attention it was taken care More

Not happy with our stay. 3:00 pm check in...they made us wait. Our party had 2 adults 4 children and we got a room with 2 double beds...2 kids without a bed. Over charged us...but gave $48 credit for breakfast. Staff was rude. And what is that stink when you walk into the lobby? Hard time breathing. Disappointed in the whole visit. Our twice a year outings to Alyeska resort is done.

Service was spot on. Rooms were clean and provided amenities like tv, coffee maker, fridge, robes, hair dryer, etc... Starbucks coffee is available for purchase and several restaurants to choose from. The pool and spa were my favorite.

They were able to accommodate us last minute. The room was very nice. The restaurants in the resort were great. The shop downstairs is well supplied. We saw bears every morning a few steps away from
The resort. It is located close to other things to do and a small village surrounds it with everything you need. Watch it for cops around the area... lol we got a speeding ticket.

For the price you pay there should be a breakfast I think. Furthermore noone cleaned my room till 7 pm and the day before that noone ever came. I'd not book this place personally but if you like to feel fancy while getting ripped of this spot is for you I guess. I feel like there has to be better options but I'm new here and it's a small town. Still had a good time I just think you dont get even close to your moneys worth. Left a midrange rating because it does have alot of cool features like the shuttle and amenities are nice. At no hotel do you have to ask or try to get your room serviced. Fix that

The resort is cold and dark in winter. The wait to ride the tram is extremely long when the mountain has powder skiing, a skier is lucky make one run per hour. the best powder lines are mostly tracked by noon. creepy little girdwood is a second rate ski town with lots of alcoholics and meth heads, many of whom work at the resort. The groomed skiing is limited. So, Go some where else

I stayed here for a few nights and head a great time. We took the tram up to the Seven Glaciers Restaurant and had an amazing dining experience We hiked down to the hotel afterwards. The service was as one would expect from a luxury resort.

It was my first time in Alaska, and I feel in love with the state. The Alyeska was our first stop and strongly recommend to anyone wanting to splurge a little.

Worth the price for the salt water pool, sauna and hot tub. Friendly staff, multilingual. Decent place in the hotel for drinks . Starbucks open at 06:00.
Good breakfast at The Pond.

I've never stayed here, but I have visited both in the summer time and in the winter. The place can be a little pricey but they offer great military, student, and group discounts. Even if you don't ski or mountain bike, the place is still nice for other activities. I highly recommend taking the tram to the top of the ski hill. There's a restaurant/bar up there and a gift shop that offers an amazing view. Bonus, for about $7 or $8 more than the regular price of the tram ticket you can get a $20 food voucher for the restaurant.

The lift to the mountain was really nice and ran frequently enough that I wouldn't have to wait more than a few minutes either way. On top was a little museum with very interesting artifacts and history.

It was a great stay at the hotel. I came for snowboarding and I had a great time! There were many trails with different difficulties. So, it is great for any level snowboarder skier! Afterwards you cam chill out in the pool and jacuzzi! Really recommend alyeska to everyone!

We stayed in the off-season when the hotel was mostly empty, but they gave us a bad room without any view, directly over the entrance portico. We asked to change rooms twice, but they kept giving us inferior rooms. Additionally, the pool was so full of chlorine it was unusable. We should have extended our stay at the Captain Cook downtown.

Always loved this place, came here as a kid now I bring my kid. Great memories, excellent location. Hopping on the tram is the fastest way by far to get up the mountain, and theres a big lodge. 7 glaciers restaraunt is up there, awesome place if you like fine dining with amazing views.

No air conditioning. Very old style rooms. Pictures on the website are misleading taking from am angle to make rooms look bigger and prettier. Don't fall for it. They have no backup air conditioning for hot days so you just gotta wait for the weather to cool down to relax. In room dining ripped us off completely already added 20% gratuity and a 5$ dollar to the bill no matter what you ordered. They just gave us 2 small water bottles for our 5 day stay. When we asked for more, they charged us for water!! You would think staying in a 4 star for multiple days would atleast get you complimentary water but no! Nothing was complimentary. No microwave in the rooms so no way to heat up left overs. Apparently, you have to pay extra for something as basic as a microwave in your room!. We wanted to be transferred to a different hotel after seeing all this and this was on the first day of our 5 day stay. They said we won't get any refund if we leave. Phew. Our trip to Alaska was amazing, this resort on the other hand was the worst part. Never staying here again. If you want your money's worth, not a good choice at all.

A wonderful place to stay duty any season. The views from the tram during the summer and winter months are fantastic. The hotel is great during both seasons also. The snow on the mountains during the winter months make it so enjoyable to live in such a wonderful state.

The resort and town are gorgeous, I wish I had stayed down here instead of staying in downtown Anchorage! The tram to the top of the mountain provides great views, with the chance to see local wildlife (we saw a baby bear on our way up!)

Views from the top are even better, and there is a gift shop/meusuem along with some food options!

You can also depart on hikes once you reach the top, although when we visited the snow had not yet melted.

Our go to place for Girdwood get a way. Consistently clean, quiet, and with friendly staff. The salt water pool and hot tub are a treat for us. Although if you go during the height of ski season, beware...the pool and tub are CROWDED. Lots of kids. Best to go early in the morning or late in the evening. The gym is also clean and the machinery well kept. You won't starve here. There are a number of worthy in house dining options, as well local restaurants that will satisfy any picky eater's request. Probably the best part of our stay is the availability of a microwave upon request. We bring food along since we prefer to often eat in. The hotel staff is very accommodating in the respect. Alyeska Hotel is well worth the drive out of town.

I grew up skiing this mountain and on a fresh powder day it is truly amazing. I didn't stay at the hotel untill I moved far away, and the last couple years I have gone for several multi day trips. There is good food selection, and a fantastic salt water pool. The hot tub is pretty awesome after a day of shredding. My only complaint is that the hill opens up a little later than I would like. If I remember right it opens at 11 which I think is pretty late in the day already. It would be much more compelling to stay at the hotel if it opened at 9 or 10.

Classy quality four star hotel. Offers a variety of amenities and we enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. The Starbucks makes great coffee. Has a variety of shopping. Plenty of outlet options in room to charge your devices. Tap water is clear and good. Parking can be tight. Near a couple local hikes and close to town. No microwave in room but they did have a fan. Has a mini fridge. You can tell they built this resort right and paid attention to the little things.
