Arrived at hotel at 3:45 (45 min past check in time) Waited 15 minutes at the check in desk before being seen. Only to be told our room was still being cleaned, and had to wait in the lobby another 20 minutes. When visiting and wanting to maximize time with family and friends spending almost an hour checking in is not ideal nor convienant.

Great location, close to downtown. They have about 10 parking spots reserved for the hotel, so hope you get lucky. The decor and amenities were very modern and trendy, which doesn't lend itself well to 'family friendly' so much as it does to a young professional. The overall feel of the place was cold and unwelcoming. The room felt stuffy, but the windows were sealed shut. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows flat.

We had a great time. The room was small, but suited us just fine. Reception was friendly and helped us get to the light rail which was only about a block and a half away. The bed was comfy and room was clean.

The room, especially the carpet, was dirty. There was no toilet paper in our bathroom when we checked in. The bathroom door was installed incorrectly so it wouldn't close. There were no convenient outlets in the room to charge our phones. The walls were so thin I could hear every little noise in the other rooms. The worst part was that I got the room to have a mini vacation and let my kid use the pool. I specifically asked if the pool was open while checking in and they said yes. Then I find out it's actually closed. My kid was so sad. Ruined the trip. They reopened the pool later that night but they had refilled it with ice cold water (November in Minnesota) and it never got warm enough to swim in. The area is very nice but this hotel is terrible. Stay elsewhere.

I would recommend Aloft to anyone! From the moment you walked in, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the amenities were great, rooms were fun and contemporary and the price could not be beat! Not to mention, the area is great!

Special shoutout to David and all the Aloft staff. We had booked a wedding block pre COVID and throughout COVID and the leading months up to our wedding David was very communicative and keen on the needs of not only the bride/groom, but also all of our guests. We had to move up our reservation dates as well as change rooms within 48 hrs of our original reservation and they were very accommodating. We would recommend Aloft Mpls for any guests and especially those bride/grooms looking for a wedding block! Amazing customer service, safe/clean, and great rates!

Drove in from OKLAHOMA thought because this hotel was pet friendly they would be a good place to stay.. We booked in advance and another party was paying the room for us. We arrived at at 430am, when we got to check in and there was a very unfriendly guest service representative that was rude and not very knowledgeable on her field. We were told to produce a credit card or no room. We were also told that is was for incidentals and damage deposit. When we got upstairs we found a very large crack in one of the mirros. Very scary since we gave our credit card for damages. I would shop around for other pet friendly places the customer service was very lacking on arrival. Its just an ok place to stay for the price there are probably better choices.

Springy uncomfortable beds that protruded through the mattress. Thin walls that allow you to hear EVERYTHING that is happening next door. (*&%# you ! Oh baby etc) Crabby and unhelpful bar tender. Pay for your own parking. We chose it because it was pet friendly and it was. The front desk was professional and kind. The staff was wonderful, the facilities were terrible ! I will not stay there again.

My family and I have loved our stay at Aloft Minneapolis. The food prices are amazing for the amount of food given. As a family we love our room, and the mostly open layout. As a mother the location was perfect, right near many stores in case of any quick needs. Even the service at Aloft was amazing because, we got quick response to any problem we may have had. Aloft is an amazing and wonderful place to stay.

Excellent, clean, modern hotel. Breakfast was worth adding on with the room. Many great places with in walking distance. Staff was able to give plenty of suggestions. Free parking is quite small but the closest ramp wasn t too expensive. Pool area was small but nicely kept.

I liked the location and style of the Aloft hotel. The room was quiet, comfortable, and clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The hallways were a little bit dirty, and the water pressure in the shower was quite low which is what reduced my rating.

I have stayed in Aloft hotels in several cities. They are very consistent with a welcoming atmosphere and well appointed rooms. This was the case in MPLS, with one exception. The hotel offers a shuttle from the light rail stop to the hotel. I called and couldnt get through to the front desk and the voice mail was full. So I walked, no biggie. The staff person apologized, explained why that happened and moved on. A drink coupon? A few snacks for the room? Or how about "is there anything we can do to make this right?" That would have been enough.

Fancy looking hotel, thought parking would be included, but it s not they have 12 parking spots or underground parking for 24 hours for $25, or there is a parking garage right next to them that is cheaper. Paid for breakfast to be included More

Great hotel, but not necessarily the easiest with children. Planned in giving two younger kids baths before a wedding and could only take care of the older one because the room only had a shower and no tub.

I stayed for a week. The staff was helpful and the hotel was comfortable. I did have trouble with the media hook ups but I guess those are being upgraded soon. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to stay in downtown Minneapolis.

Rooms were small and didn't have very much creature comforts (ex: no microwave). Beds were not good nor bad, bathroom door didn't have a lock (not sure why). Outside noise was very prominent, we were second floor near the street and an excessive amount of noise entered into the room. The room was a fairly average price with a below average experience.

Beautiful hotel. I wanted to live in their shower (though I do wish the shower pressure or I don't know.. Speed?) was adjustable - that high of pressure is bad for my hair. ;-) Super clean without smelling sterile.

Great location. Super little sushi/hibachi place across the street (I just had the sushi, can't vouch for the grill)

Parking is a straight b**** . There's 2 hr street parking, 2-3 "first come first serve" free hotel spaces in back, or city ramp across the road. The night I got there there was some sort of event so the ramp would only take cash which I didn't have, but otherwise they take all cards.

The rooms reserved nice enough. I especially like having a fridge. Clever design elements, but the lighting is cold and not bright enough. Great location. Close to live theater and the new stadium. Close enough to downtown. Excellent public transportation supplements the hotel's shuttle.

Friendly staff.

Really enjoyed our weekend stay in Minneapolis for the Monster Energy Supercross. The Aloft was a great place to stay for us. Pet friendly with a nice park a block away to stretch our legs in the morning. Cool hotel, staff were very nice and professional. Pros: You get a great place to stay for the $$ Pets stay FREE. Great staff to help you get checked into your room. Location Location Location close to places to bars, restaurants, US Bank Stadium, Guthrie Theater, and the river walk bridge. Nice pool & hot tub. Nice lobby with lounge, pool table and shuffleboard. Cons: A little noisy, we were right above the bar area and the walls and floors are all concrete and sound travels quickly. Bed mattress could be a little softer and thin indoor outdoor carpet. No free breakfast items. Conclusion: Love this place! We will try and stay at Aloft when we are in Minneapolis again.

Great hotel, fun stay with a modern feel. Great and helpful staff. My only criticism is parking. They have 12 spots in the back for guest, first come first serve. Other than that there is a parking garage. Which personally I believe they should validate parking for. Other than that our stay has been pleasant.

We're in town for a concert. you checked into the app with an arrival time of 4 p.m.. Our room was not ready until less than a half hour before we need to leave to go to the concert. They said the linen truck was late. Since I paid for a room using points they gave us a free breakfast. Her breakfast is nothing special and I only ate it because it was free. I do not plan to stay at another aloft.

Nice location, but our room had some issues. The air conditioner needed repair before it would work and the room phone didn't work. There were 4 people in the room but they only provided enough towels for one person even after specifying there were FOUR of us. Staff was friendly and the place was clean.

There's two-hour pay parking on the street, but if you want to park overnight, your best bet is the public parking garage across the street that costs $8/night, cash only. In our room, the toilet wasn't working when we arrived and one of the two lights in the bedroom was burned out. Wxyz is alright if you need a quick drink or two, but you'll probably have problems with anything complicated since they hire beginner bartenders with no help.

All in all, I would have given two stars, but construction on the building next door starts loud at 7AM with jack hammers and yelling from the workers, making it literally impossible to sleep in. According to the staff, construction will continue for another month or two.

I generally recommend Aloft, but definitely wouldn't recommend this one.

We LOVE Aloft in Downtown Minneapolis! They were fantastic to our client, and made sure his stay was as comfortable as possible. You can't beat their comfortable rooms, and great amenities. They even have live music at their on-site bar. Make sure you stop by! #sponsoredpost #socialmediainfluencer

They're not kidding when they say dog friendly! I was greeted with enthusiasm, but it was nothing compared to how they treated my pups! The front desk staff stopped to pet them every time we walked by and made sure all of us were comfortable. Even with accepting pets, the rooms and common areas were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommend, whether traveling with dogs or not.

I was very disappointed by the how professional this hotel was. I had come with my family one weekend to stay. Went swimming had a good weekend. A week later we were going to go swimming and couldn't find her swimsuit top as this was the last place we had used I had called the hotel and was put through to the housekeeping line and left a voicemail. I NEVER received a call back regarding if they had found it or not. It is now 3 months later and had to replace the swimsuit as I never received confirmation of if it was there.

Design wise, a very cool hotel. I would have really liked it if it wasn't so noisy. I could hear every conversation in the room next door, and the noise from the street was quite loud. Bring your earplugs.

This hotel was great until they turned us away. I ve never felt worse or weirder about an experience, and they did not care. We had reservations, we were in their system, but they decided to change their policy and denied our complementary card we had received from then. I m not sure what the sales lady seemed to have against us. She did not want us to stay at her hotel at all, even if we paid! Very rude and not at all understanding. All I can take from this experience is that this hotel does not keep it s word. And their sales and marketing person is scary - shouldn t have a job that deals with people. Up until this point, the hotel always felt very welcoming.
