A great place to stay if you want to take in a baseball game at Target Field. Great location and a very clean hotel. Staff is friendly.
First floor / bar area looks clean and nice. But carpets in the rooms are dirty and rooms don't feel clean. Clock looked like it was from the 80's making me think they hadn't redecorated in a long time. Cost per night was expensive considering what the rooms felt like.
Dinner and drinks at WXYZ Bar in the lobby. The drinks were awesome and food great too! The bar overlaps with the lobby a lot and would benefit from having a more defined space.
We stayed here for a night when seeing a show at The Armory. This is a unique hotel. The color scheme is very bright and the lobby is not typical looking. It seems like you are in a bar or an airport. In the elevator there are tiles that have blue liquid in them which is kind of fun.
The room was pretty small. The bathroom was very small. My biggest complaint is with the toilet paper. They have one ply toilet paper. For the price to stay here I feel like the amenities should be better by han one ply toilet paper.
Parking is easy and the hotel is walking distance to the us bank stadium and the Armory.
Overall this is an okay hotel to stay at if you want to be close to easy downtown. But I would rather then have invested more in the amenities than the bright color scheme.
Hotel room was very nice. Front desk staff were friendly. But the bartender sucked. I sat at the bar once while waiting for my husband...he never waited on me. Too busy yapping with other guests at bar. We came back later (stupid!) at 7:30 pm for a last drink before going to our room. Wouldn t wait on us. There are only 10 seats. 3 other guests at bar. Wouldn t wait on us. Guess we weren t upscale enough. They need to lose this guy.
Trendy in a bad way. Bad breakfast. Only stayed for the location
Excellent, clean rooms, loved the BYOP, bartender and staff are courteous and accommodating
Very nice place and comfortable. Great view as well!
A hotel theme of modern, but trying way too hard. Too many wrongs than there is rights. Food from someone else left in my fridge, air conditioning not working upon check in, callous and dispassionate front desk attendants. No manager on duty when asked at 615pm. If you want a centrally located-downtown locale, ok. But otherwise, there are more choices right around the corner.
A month after I made my reservation they canceled me because they were overbooked. They canceled me through Expedia. I tried reaching the front desk, calling 6 times in an hour - never picked up.
We had a wonderful stay at the Minneapolis location. Staff was super friendly. Rooms were clean and nicely done. Prices are very reasonable especially so for a downtown hotel.
Nice place, good prices, good staff. Hot tub could use some attention.
Very lovely bar. Good snacks that won't overload you.
You can hear the lobby music in the second floor bedrooms, nice as they are. More sound proofing necessary for comfort!
It was very nice. The staff was extremely accommodating and the rooms were exceptional.
Lived the location. Nice park close by. Bus station close by. Hotel was really nice and clean.
Overall a great place to stay!
The staff is super friendly from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. They are very welcoming. Amazing location too!
The rooms are the only thing I have to take a start off for. The bathroom doors don t close all the way - take what you want away from that comment. The TV channels...wait, there aren t any.
The beds are comfortable though and the rooms are very efficient.
I ll certainly stay here again
Shoddy functional design covered up with tacky aesthetic design. Showers leak, the light switches turn each other off, and the rooms are accented with an obnoxious palette. Smells like chemicals. The bathroom "pocket" door is actually a sliding mirror with gaps. Any bathroom business just fills the room. There is no soundproofing whatsoever. Parking is nearly nonexistent, and you will likely have to pay street or garage.
Sat at the bar for a quick dinner before going to the Guthrie. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. The bartender was personable.
In the last tear we have visted many hotels for weekend getaways ! This is byfar my favorite! I love love the shower amd the view over us stadium . we stayed right before superbowl. Created wonderdul memories. All the staff is 5 star as well!
The room (3rd floor) has been comfortable and modern. Love the bathroom layout with toilet and shower separation. Blackout shades worked wonders letting us sleep in for the first time in years. Great location downtown right by the green line and Farmers market on Saturday. Plus the Guthrie theater is just around the corner. Overall it has been a very pleasant stay.
Not impressed hard beds, heater was not working. Looks like IKEA threw up ak over that place
Such a quality hotel, comfortable, with beautiful views of the city.
The customer service here is great and the rooms are not only spacious. I enjoyed the contemporary breakfast too. Would definitely stay here again!
We love staying at aloft. Aloft makes us feel like we're home away from home. One thing that really sticks out is that they make use out of all available space possible. Staff is welcoming and accommodating and the rooms are very cozy.
I like the Aloft concept and have enjoyed previous stays. However, in my recent visit to this location the room was not fully clean, the coffee machine in lobby was broken and some of the appetizer items on the bar menu were not available. Nonetheless, the facility was nice and the staff was great.
Front desk staff was unfriendly and not helpful. They changed our room without telling us. So we were stuck with a king bed for 4 people. Tried to get a roll away which they didnt have either. My son ended up sleeping on the floor and was very uncomfortable. Shortly after getting home I realized I forgot I left meds there and called and NEVER heard back from them after leaving a message with my name and phone number. Very disappointed. We like the location but may never be back.
Good mid level hotel. Dogs are welcome & stay for free. Lobby bar is good. Rooms are small but functional. Some free parking. Hotel shuttle & pool were also nice.
Spent a few nights here on business twice in 2018. Like any Aloft it s pretty standard.
The front desk staff was pleasant and professional on both visits.
The rooms were neat and clean and of course, I love the showers with the shampoo and body wash that are wall mounted.
The location itself is outside the city center so don t stay here in the winter if you want the safety and warmth of the skywalks.
However, the times I stayed were warm and pleasant, and the walk to the city was enjoyable.
There are some restaurants across the street that are good and it was easy to get a Lyft here too.
Definitely would come back on future visits to Minneapolis.
Stayed in town while exploring downtown for the weekend. Loved the rooms. Very small, and efficient. You had everything you needed, aside from a microwave (which i was okay without). Beautiful views facing the US Bank Stadium. Will stay here again!
The front desk agent was very nice. He let me park overnight in the registration spot. The hotel itself has a very urban, modern feel, with a relatively compact room. It feels very trendy, but it would be nice if they offered free breakfast. Overall a good deal for the area.
Great shuttle experience, took us to the game and back. Hotel got our reservation wrong, but fixed it. Smelled like weed on our floor even though its a non smoking building. Overall, doesn't seem like they follow there own rules.
A great place to stay that's really close to the stadium.
They need to replace the Manager. She doesn't return phone calls and is very rude.
Nice hotel with modern rooms. Had a few issues with check-in that were handled wonderfully by the front desk staff. Noon checkout was nice.
Great view of the stadium. Parking sucks.
Stopped in for a drink with friends after an event at another venue in the neighborhood. It was fine. It was the middle of the week, and I'm not sure the bar staff was really into it that night.
Sraff very friendly, facility clean and good hangout spot, rooms look nice and like a comfortable place to stay
I SO enjoyed my stay here! My room was so modern and updated and included a mini fridge and the coffee in my room was great too! Great view of US bank stadium where my Philadelphia Eagles beat the patriots this year ;)
Also was able to enjoy running on the trails located right behind the hotel, so beautiful!
I had breakfast once downstairs- ordered The Berry which was so delicious!! They have lots of healthy options available to purchase, including breakfast, fruits, snacks and beverages. Hotel was always clean, staff very friendly. I highly recommend!
Amazing absolutely the best hotel experience ever. Employees are all very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The rooms are fun and different comfortable and perfectly laid out.
During our stay there was an uncontrollable power outage it lasted a little over 24hrs. The staff worked tirelessly and quickly to accomodate all guests with a fully booked hotel. We choose to stay and were equally accomodated as those who chose to relocate at the expence of the hotel. The staff stayed composed and professional the whole time. Highly recommend this hotel will definitely stay again.
Beware!!!!
Our $60000 Audi was broken into here!
No cameras in parking lot and our Audi was broke into and they ransacked the inside. Onsite management was no help other than "gee I'm sorry".
Pool was luke warm, room temperature would not maintain our desired temperature. Granted we booked on reward points as a silver elite member, the respect was ZERO
Always a great stay. Trendy hotel with super comfortable rooms.
A very clean and modern place to stay. Great staff at the bar but I think the prices for breakfast is a bit outrageous. It also has a nice workout facility and pool. The rooms are a bit small.
Modern stylish accommodations. Great staff. Was a pleasant stay.
Location is great, right near a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops, and the river. The hotel accommodations are wonderful. Bedding is comfortable, but the pillows aren't great. Rooms are pleasant. Only issue is that parking in tough if you need it, and noise can carry up to the rooms from the courtyard.
The hotel is gorgeous and a great space. Easy access to downtown.
Rooms provide body wash and shampoo/conditioner. There's a bar in the lobby. Modern looking rooms and rooms that overlook the city or a more quiet setting.
I love it here! Could be more affordable... Could have some units with bathtubs and make it clear and easy for the customer to find and actually book those different tub rooms.
Clean motel, very modern looking, through trivago it was very budget friendly. No free breakfast.
This is the 2nd Aloft hotel I have stayed at. Always great customer service, great rooms and great views.
Nice hotel. Interesting layout in lobby and rooms. Convenience Mart in the lobby. Comfortable beds. Pleasant staff. Near many downtown locations. Seems like a nice place to stay for a longer business trip. My biggest issue was that the room got very cold because the heater (window unit) had very little ability to warm the room given its design.
Awesome! Great staff...stiff cocktails...terrific food!
Great room, super friendly staff, they were even able to accommodate our last minute room requests with no issues. Will definitely stay again.
Felt very meh about the place. Dont love the room atmosphere. Heater broke, and they were nice about it but it was a pain to switch. Front desk staff were friendly but overworked. Breakfast bowls were delicious.
Recently built modern hotel. Outstanding services by staff members.I would definitely stay there next time I go to Minneapolis.
Great Place!! The bar is amazing even if not a guest at the hotel!! Will be back!!
This Hotel serves its purpose well as a "home base" for a traveling businessperson, or a place to crash for a special night down town. The pros: The value is superb. Beds are comfortable. TV's are nice. Staff was friendly and cooperative. The styling is nice. The location is nice. Complimentary shuttle service saves a few bucks on cab fare. The hotel bar stocks good products. The cons: The rooms are very small. You can't throw a party in one... but then neither can your neighbor while you try to sleep. The front desk staff handle a lot of tasks so it would be very easy for them to get backed up. The pool area is small also... but they use salt water which is nice. I wouldn't bring my children here, but I would take my wife there again for sure.
They have a pool table hot tub pool and nice bar all in all its a cool spot to chill.
Would not recommend this hotel at all! You book a room for 4 and when you arrive, you get a room with a king bed only!!!!! The lobby was full of people complaining about the same situation as mine. Very poor service and definitely not worth the money.
Very active Atmosphere, fun to be in, food was good. Definitely gonna go again.
Great stay overall! Room bathroom doesn't have locks which was a bit strange and unnerving
Beautiful place beautiful location beautiful rooms and friendly
Decent place but a little too mod/hipster for my liking. It'd be nice for the price to have some sort of breakfast as well
Great place near US Bank stadium. Firm bed but the pillows need to be changed. Pool and lounge areas are wonderful.
Rooms were nice but just a little dirty. Staff at the front desk were indifferent about us being there.
Disorganized check-in, had to wait untill well after 4 for my room, and the bar staff was rude. Close to the stadium, but will find a better place next time
PLOT TWIST: this review is for a wedding room block!
We locked in a room block for our June 2018 wedding well in advance, and had a fantastic experience working with Theresa at Aloft. She was extremely responsive, guided us with recommended quantities/when to drop some rooms, and coordinated the delivery of our welcome treats for our guests.
It's pretty a-typical that you hear praise about the hotel from your wedding guests, but we had several couples say how much they enjoyed their stay, the location, and the facilities. We had nearly half of our guests come in from out-of-town, so it was truly the perfect location to allow guests to explore fun parts of Minneapolis during down time before and after the big day (Gold Medal Park, Stone Arch Bridge, US Bank Stadium, etc.). Another major perk: it is only 3 blocks from the light rail station, so guests do not need to rent a car.
Fantastic experience - will absolutely recommend for other friends who are looking for a wedding room block, and to out-of-town friends and family when they visit MN!
I am in town for a medical procedure. The staff at Aloft helped accommodate health issues, going above and beyond what was expected. Because of this experience, I am a Marriott customer for life!
Great rooms for the cost. Centrally located. Walking distance to lots of things. Nice people work there
Good location alofts are all the same this one is up to same standards free parking in the city is amazing
I love aloft, I just started traveling, its the only hotel chain I stay at
Staff in welcoming
Rooms are clean
And you can lock up your stuff
The gym is ok. A couple of treadmills and ellipticals. But it gets crowded in morning. There's also a pool and spa. Best part is location. Right across from river walk. Rooms are nice. Bed is a little on hard side.
Horrible customer service, the price ridiculous, and three rooms tiny. They charge you card at least $35 per night for incidentals vs other's who do not charge your card unless you purchase incidentals
I arrived around midnight and was told that my reservation had been relocated to another hotel a few blocks away. I wasn t even contacted by phone in advance - not the best service/experience.
Aloft is placed downtown near several good restaurants and bars. It is also near the stadium. The room was beautiful and functional as an office.
Great place. Good location, knowledgeable staff. Decent amenities. I just wish I didn't have to share the room with three others. :)
Nice location, right by the park and the new stadium. Very nice hotel in general. I would stay here again.
Nice hotel. Walking distance to Gold medal park and Vikings stadium. Hotel parking is very limited.
Beautiful rooms great scenery.. One of the best customer services in a long time thank you guys.. You made our stay very comfortable.. We will be returned Customers.. From Dixon California
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was easy to get to and convenient to the rest of downtown Minneapolis. We had a drink at the hotel bar, which was also a very nice space for relaxing.
I made a reservation 4 months ago and had to cancel it because we couldn't find anyone to take care of grandma who has Alzheimer's. We were trying to give my mother-in-law a break since she is the sole caretaker. I canceled a week prior and they kept full payment on two rooms only to sell them to someone else. It should be criminal to collect two payments for the same room. Maybe a class-action suit. Their customer service basically said "screw you, have a nice day".
The room was modern and comfortable. The wallpaper was a bit worn on spots and the door to the bathroom didn't close completely due to an issue with the track. We had some drinks at the bar before bed and shot some pool. That was a nice way to relax. But upon arrival, there was a party at the bar and the walkway was blocked for hours. It would be nice to have the party moved to one side out the other.
Terrible quality of rooms and awful customer service. Called to make a reservation for one room for one person and now am dealing with awful service attempting to aleviate the problem with no cooperation at all. Would not reccomend this hotel to anyone just based on the customer service, let alone the awful room conditions. No dresser or closet, cleanliness is suspect to say the least, and overall experience is just awful.
Modern hotel in a great location. Parking is very limited and breakfast isn't free. Our room has a great view of us bank stadium.
Small, trendy hipster hotel with immaculate rooms and nice staff. Our bed was comfortable and the TV was huge. The location is a little far from downtown, but you can easily get to a bus station. Our room looked out to US Bank Stadium, so it was very close.
Convenient location, cool rooms but bring your earplugs, not quiet. Very pricey basic breakfast.
Great location, easy parking, cool rooms. Great service from Valerie at Wxyz bar and housekeeping. Some improvement needed in the front desk staff, misinformation and disinterested in assisting with simple tasks.
