Great place to visit. Excellent venue for a wedding because of the photo opertunities
Just perfect for every age group. No "keep off" signs and a very ambitious design that works very well. Absolutely fantastic.
Really awesome gardens. We took the poison tour which didn't sound super interesting but had me totally interested for all twenty minutes of it. The tour guide was pretty funny too.
An amazing and beautiful place...a lovely day out and great family fun
A beautiful place which will take a lot longer than you think to fully enjoy it. The poison garden tour is a must and included in admission. The children loved running around everywhere, though the beauty of the whole garden was appreciated by the adults the most.
Stunning. Water sculptures and the poison garden are fantastic
Expansive network of formal gardens with a cascading central fountain and huge treehouse restaurant.
A nice day out but it is better at certain times of the year!
Beautiful gardens, well maintained and run, if a little pricey entrance fee
I so enjoyed the Castle , the people are so helpful
And very friendly when l return to Northumberland l will definitely go to the castle again
It is a very nice place to visit even with the family.
Gorgeous garden, fun kids activity and awe-inspiring water features
An absolute must for anyone visiting the north. The poison garden is a great experience, led by excellent guides. The swings in the cherry blossom orchard are beautiful. A great place to walk around, rest, read and take in the scenery.
Love this place. Good to Visit very popular for Children and Adults.
Great family day out with tickets that last all year
The garden is enourmous, interesting fountains, beautiful flowers. Definitely visit the cherry blossom garden to sit on the swing chair (plenty of them) and the poison garden for intriguing stories (also seeing cannabis sativa/marijuanas).
Tranquil beautifully laid out. The Poison Garden was interesting and the guide was very entertaining.
I almost didn't go to the gardens ... I was going to miss one of the most beautiful parts of the Castle ...
Beautiful gardens and nice scenery. Cafe is good too. Plenty to occupy you for a day out.
Alnwick is always a lovely garden and this time it was rememberance sunday so a ideal place to reflect on the sacrifices made and loved ones lost..
Fantastic day out, suitable for all ages. You really do need a whole day to see and experience everything.
A variety of plants, an awe inspiring tiered water feature and romantic covered pathways. Dining available on site which was handy.
Was here for a wedding, really nice place and a great backdrop for a couple to get married at.
All the staff were friendly and all in all a fantastic day.
Fantastic place lots of things to do and see great family day out
I'm not a gardener - but these gardens took my breath away.! They are very well laid out, with many little nooks and crannies, and beautifully maintained.
Fantastic place to visit. Lovely gardens with beautiful fountains. Lots of everyone to see & children very well catered for with lots of interesting interaction things to do
2nd trip here and I will return again. This place never fails to delight. Rather romantic place as well as a lot of fun.
Gardens are very interesting but the restaurant was a huge disappointment. It is not clear what food is available or the price and I found the staff to begrudge being asked for information. The choice was very limited in the Pavilion and the wait for a hot drink was unacceptably long : 20minutes with only about six people in front of me. The gift shop was unbearably hot and so not a pleasant place to be. The staff around the venue were very friendly and helpful unlike the restaurant experience. I might re visit but will definitely take a picnic.
A fun filled experience as you meander around the expansive gardens. Keep an eye out for objects left lying around by the resident giant who can be seen bathing as you enter the gardens.
The gardens have traditional layouts interspersed with quirky attractions. My favourite was the magical bench...keep an eye out for that!
Make sure to leave time to take the Poison Garden tour as it s not to be missed.
Love this place. Beautiful garden. Great for kids and adults alike. Not a bad price for a day out!!
Big, flashy and full of history. A little expensive.
We had a lovely day going around the castle and taking pictures of the landscapes
Awesome gardens a castle. Just wondered around the free bits but it looked very good
An absolutely beautiful place to visit! Includes a 'Poison Garden', and a water feature section
A beautiful place to visit. Lots for people of all ages to explore including a garden of poisonous plants.... Lots of beautiful plants to look at. There are also plenty of food outlets serving a range of foods from sandwiches and salads to made to order pizzas. Highly recommend.
Amazing place to visit ,gardens are lovely ,lots to do for children and a nice cafe . Castle is also worth a visit .
Fantastic gardens. The poison garden is well worth the visit.
Good day out but having food there was a bit expensive.
One of the best public gardens in the country. See cherry blossoms on spring and the rose garden in summer. The fountains and water features are exceptionally good. Very family friendly, easy to park. A large garden so come prepared to walk!
It was amazing I loved the sculptures it was so beautiful the slushies there are great to I just loved it soooo much
A good day out, lots to see and do, lots of walking so wear good shoes or trainers. The water feature is worth seeing, very spectacular. The poison garden is very interesting and the talk is entertaining. Good cafe, good toilets and a good shop.
Fantastic for our young toddlers (3 & 1)! Amazing grounds, lovely walks through the gardens and staff were really helpful and very pleasant.
Would totally recommend and will be going back.
Gorgeous gardens, lots for the kids to run around and ook at. Nice quiet spots as well and a lovely cafe. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful
I would recommend finding a park to explore for free
My wife and I visited the garden and found it very disappointing.
There is a large fountain, a gift shop, cafe, a small walled garden and a collection of plants in the poison garden which took 5mins to walk around.
I have been to better garden centers.
I would recommend finding a park to explore for free.
Amazing Alnwick Garden... beautiful surrounding and relaxing place. A bit too expensive for me but worth it!. I go there once a year. But highly recommended.
A best friend pass has paid for itself already. Purchase for a year s membership and you can take any other person, only one individual is named. The mobility scooter hire is an added bonus. Check website for details.
Do not go during the winter. If you do, expect nothing.
Very impressive, even early in the season as we were.
A really interesting garden and well worth a visit. the children will love the fountains, the swings in the cherry garden and more
Allow a full day to do this and the castle, its all great.
Very well tended gardens. Great place for kids to play aswell. My wife loved the flowering cherry blossom. Quite expensive though.
Amazing place with lots of interest for all ages. The poison garden was particularly fascinating! Well worth a visit either with the castle or on it's own.
Lovely water feature
Nice garden
Bet it looks beautiful in spring
Expensive and very busy. The gardens are not very exciting it was easter sunday so a bit early for flowers which i understand but was bored after 20 minutes.
Looking spectacular with Autumn colouring in abundance
Always love this place. Well, well worth the price. Only wish it was closer. Love it when kids aay to parents, "you mean we can get wet" and "so have you got me a change of clothes" and parents say "yes".
