Great day out, slightly let down by overcast weather. Poison Garden was interesting with a great talk from the guide. Loved the Formal Garden above the Great Cascade. Lots of amazing water features. Just a shame we didn't visit when the Cherry Orchard was in full bloom. The whole place was impeccably maintained by an army of guides and grounds staff
Damned expensive. On the day of visit the gardens closed at 1pm but they still charged full price. Not happy.
A great day out. You can spend the whole day here and the kids will have a ball!
Lots to see and do. The free 20 minute poison garden tour is worth doing. You'll never be without your gardening gloves again. But they only take 20 people at a time so investigate that first. The water features are all magnificent and kids More
Fabulous. Unexpectedly surprising and we'll worth a visit. Lots to see and do for all ages.
Another great garden with plenty to keep kids and adults alike interested.
A fantastic experience was last there when I was much younger brought back many happy memories. The place oozes history
Very pleasant helpful staff. I am disabled and they couldn't do enough for me. A very worthwhile visit.
Really great time here was lovely and staff was helpful and smile I felt happy will go again
Very good however not as dog friendly as i would have wished.
Beautiful Garden and ideal to visit if you are looking for ideas for your own garden.
Very nice place, very suitable for taking pictures and resting on the side of the plant are very manageable, the staff loves this place, the fountain is also very nice, suitable for families with children come out to play if the ticket is booked online, it will be cheaper to book the park and Castle ticket about 200 yuan
Absolutely stunning place. Thoroughly enjoyed walking through the gardens with my wife and enjoyed seeing all the different features it had to offer.
I have attended two weddings here now, and visited another two times. A beautiful venue for weddings, and a great attraction to visit otherwise, especially in conjunction with the castle
Gardens looking very spooktacular today for Halloween, lots of fun for all
Beautiful and interesting. If you're interested in gardening then the displays here are well worth a visit
Impressive fountains and formal garden. The locked and guided poison garden was very interesting.
Awsome place to visit and the castle is amazing too.
Awesome. So many aspects to the garden, from water features to rose gardens, Christmas features simply added to the usual beauty of the gardens.
Stunning waterfall and lots of attractions included poison garden.
Beautiful place, spent five happy hours her so plenty to see!
Another wonderful day at The Alnwick Garden. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will visit again very soon.
Fountains and swings and lots of pretty views even when it's raining! And the poison garden is very interesting
Good value for money. Great day out
Lovely water features.
Brilliant fun! Beautiful gardens and a completely immersive and excellent experience.
Beautiful garden and a lovely day out for both children and adults
Loved walking around the gardens. And the Sunday roast was amazing and so reasonably priced! Had a great time. Especially loved the tree house.
This is a great place for anyone to enjoy in the warmer months with nice walks, spectacular fountains and pleasant outdoor cafe/ restaurant areas. Don't miss out on a tour around the Poison Garden which is totally fascinating and contains everything from tobacco to foxgloves and opium poppies. The tour guide we had was really engaging and obviously knew his stuff. This was also one of the film sets for the Harry Potter films and there is a healthy dose of dragons, dressing up and magic for the kids (big and small) to enjoy in the garden. It is a wonderfully preserved castle so a walking around these extensive, well-kept grounds is a real treat.
Lovely afternoon. Beautiful gardens. The poison garden tour was great. Staff helpful and friendly
Impressive water feature and pleasant gardens with interesting features
Absolutely fantastic! Roses were out and looked amazing! We come regularly and are never
Beautiful place infact it is amazing! Got a lesson on some flowers off a gardener there!
Brilliant place plenty of water fountains for the kids to get wet so make sure you take a towel and spare clothes
Something for everyone. Very impressive gardens that are both beautiful & educational.
The Christmas Market is great on still on this weekend. Loads of lovely unique things to buy and you don't have to pay to get in.
Beautiful gardens. Good to walk round on a guided tour and learn interesting facts. The poison garden was fascinating and loved the tree house.
I m a member of the Gentlemans Gardens Club
We meet every Thursday
Fabulous trip as always, have to drag our 4 yr old home as she could stay all day here.
Excellent, beautiful gardens and water feature. Poison garden is pretty cool too. Refreshments are overpriced.
Good facilities and lovely garden especially the cascade.
A garden stop, I found the castle much more interesting, parts of Harry Potter were shot here. The garden is also spectacular - English - with water and tulip garden and cherry tree grove and ... there is even a poisonous plants department! Worth seeing!
Wonderful gardens that are beautifully kept.
The kids had a great time wondering around and the poison garden walk was brilliant and informative.
We would come here again and again if we were closer.
Despite the weather not being brilliant, we still had a great day.
Beautiful. Spent a lovely day walking round. Lots of different themes. Loved the tour around Poison Garden
Perfectly designed for beauty in space and colours and light and shade
I haven't been toAlnick for over a year so this sire has its wires crossed again.
Beautiful displays. My teenage sons/daughter even enjoyed it.
Would have been a lot higher if it hadn't been soured by an outrageously expensive cafe that didn't even have prices marked. 11 quid for a small bowl of soup and a dry salmon sandwich is ridiculous to find out when you get to the till.
Beautiful place, and has free scooters to help less able people get around.
A perfect visit, with an exceptional tour guide. I learnt loads, but was not bored by uninteresting facts. The whole place has been brought to life and has a lovely vibe around it, not to mention how fascinating it was to see the place set out in the same way that the family still uses it as their home! Wonderful visit!
Great place plenty to do for all family value for money
I felt in love with this garden! Too bad I arrived too late to see the poison garden. A lovely place to spend a sunny afternoon with an ice cream. And the flowers smell soooo good! This is the garden of fairies for sure.
A thoroughly enjoyable day. Lovely gardens and a impressive castle with enough to keep you busy all day
Wasn't able to see inside with the ticket I had. Ran out of time. Looked fab though.
Stunning gardens loved the swings in the Cherry orchard and the water features.
Can't take dogs in which I did not know till I got there
Really nice and interesting place to spend a few hours. Still in semi lockdown so restricted services were available.
A lovely place to spend an afternoon. Lovely walk through lovely gardens. We did the garden tour. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the place and was happy to answer our questions. The toilets are clean and decent. We ate in the restaurant and we were disappointed by the quality of the meal.
Beautiful location, with fantastic photo opportunities, plus great for Pokemon Go players. Two words of caution.
1. There are some incredibly narrow parts of the garden, making it less than 100% wheelchair accessible.
2. Food options are limited and overpriced, even in the village. Eat before you visit.
Amazing. Especially loved the special garden that's locked away with a guided tour. Amazingly friendly staff.
