The grounds are lovely, with lots of areas to explore. From the posion garden with its guided too, to all the water features that the kids love. There's free tractors for the kids to play in, and the water sculptures are great to look at, More

I'm giving the magnificent gardens a well deserved 5 out of 5. The cherry orchard was beautiful, the waterfalls fun and the poison gardens interesting. The ornamental garden was filled with spring colour and scent which was just fab. We had More

Beautifully maintained gardens with some an impressive central water feature. Lots to distract and explore with the kids. Restaurant is well designed but food a little limited. Popular.

The cafe and shops are outside the entrance are worth a visit but whether you want to pay to visit the gardens themselves depends on you. They had a millennium grant to set them up.

Very well kept gardens, Great for kids.

Very well kept gardens, Great for kids.

We have visited at different times of the year and the gardens are always highly kept and paths maintained.

The fountain display really is something else and well worth sitting and waiting for on the main lawn.

It's pretty expensive as far as garden entry prices go but it is a large complex and it can be a great family day out with swings dotted along the paths, secret gardens, fountains, mazes etc

Hidden characters and displays encouraging the adventurers to go looking.

You won't be disappointed

Oh the tree house is amazing a genuine work of art, if you can book and have a meal the food and atmosphere is fascinating and intoxicating

A nice garden with different styles of planting and various water features etc. Entry and food prices are quite expensive but you can take your own picnic to eat on the lawn. The various shades walkways and mazes are a god send on hotter days. Poison garden is an interesting addition (tours are free) but not especially large. There is also a small garden centre selling plants from the garden and local area. Worth a visit.

Beautiful gardens, they are set out in an interesting way. Lots of places to sit down. They have changed some of the Fountains as I remember children used to be able to play and get wet in some of the water features. Lovely atmosphere.

Water garden, bamboo maze, poison garden, rose garden and herb /kitchen garden all amazing. Cafe and shop post COVID-19 open as were toilets. Excellent place to visit even in rain. Castle next door not fully open but home to Blackadder I and Harry Potter film sets and interesting. Was a queue for a tower but we didn't bother entering it. Fish and chip and hog roast vans on site of castle are good for lunch.

Well laid out gardens, plenty to see, interesting talks given at poison garden, well set up for social distancing, lovely cherry orchards and ornamental gardens, tranquil experience, fountains are fabulous, just watch out for the timed sprinklers, too close and you get soaked. Good one way system laid out for social distancing, plenty of cleaning taking place and hand sanitiser stations in abundance around the gardens. Well worth a visit. Dinosaur exhibition on until end of August.

Good day out, grand gardens and water features. Food is okay too, nothing too fancy but acceptable. Busy here at holiday times. Parking is okay, during busy periods a shuttle bus runs to an overflow carpark.

Went to the Gardens with my family and had a wonderful day out. All staff were polite and helpful and the children enjoyed it immensly. One of their favourite things was the old fashioned sweet stall ( a new addition I believe) and the staff there were wonderful. They listened as I told my children they could choose something before we left for home and the lady on the stall then added that they were only allowed to sell sweets to very good children and they had to check this with mum before we bought anything. The result was two angels for the whole day and the sweets were delicious. Well done Alnwick Gardens we will be back

The staff in the poisonous garden were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The gardens are well presented, the fountain and the surrounding 'tree-mendous' tunnels are amazing. The added fairy tail giant event made for a fun day. The cafe More

We thought this place was beautiful and fantastic cared for. The flowers and the waterfalls are gorgeous.
It's a shame the children's activity tents were not open because of the Corona Virus.
Which we fully understand....
However it's a shame espically when some of the pubs are packed out with very little social distancing which ive witnessed and background music played loud enough for people to dance too!!....
Plenty of hand gel stations and room for social distancing at Alnwick gardens.....
