Good in California, lost in North Carolina

Had this plan in California, was pretty happy with it. Moved to North Carolina and signed up with them again, but nothing but problems since then. I signed up with their plan there because the "dental coverage" seemed good; $2000 per year for dental. Finding doctors and dentists was terribly difficult. It took me six weeks to find a dentist that accepted this insurance and even then I had to do it on my own. Calling their so-called "concierge" number every day for weeks with no results. They were unable to find a dentist for me within a 30 minute drive. Finally they found one, over two hours away and they seemed proud of that. I'm not driving three hours to a dentist. But I was desperate so I called them to make an appointment and they told me they had an office ten minutes from my house. Too bad Alignment had no knowledge of that. The dental insurance through DentaQuest is absolutely horrid, so it's no wonder they've dropped dental insurance altogether for 2023. I couldn't find any periodontist that accepted their insurance so I paid $5000 out of pocket for dental in the six months of 2022 that I had Alignment. They also assigned me a PCP that didn't even have an office. He was a traveling doctor, working at different places every day of the week. That's not a good option for a PCP. The so-called "concierge" line is nothing but uninformed foreigners from who-knows-where that can't even find my correct insurance account. Truly astounding. I called about a mistaken bill I owed and they couldn't even see the claim. Even though my own Alignment portal showed that they had paid it. I called three times, got three different so-called "concierges" and each of them found only my California account from nine months earlier. No record of my North Carolina account that they'd worked with me on for nine months and paid ten claims for. Just unbelievable really.

Thank you so much DANIEL for your amazing customer service and amazing positive attitude. Your positive energy just makes everything feel better. It s hard to get someone like Daniel that cares for its members. Daniel has gone above and beyond with his amazing customer service. He was great with getting in contact with my grandfathers new doctor. He actually following up with my grandfather and I usually that never happens with insurances. I have never experienced anyone like Daniel that cares and genuinely helps out. It s is hard to come across anyone like him. Thank you for helping my grandfather and I in making the change to his new doctor.

Poor customer service. Sales representative perfor...

Poor customer service. Sales representative performed "Bate and Switch" by knowingly providing incorrect information about health care plan supplemental benefits. Grievance department doesn't actually investigate nor resolve grievances. Then simply relay information to the subject of complaint to respond. Then they create their response to member based on that information and call it a "Resolution". Lack of medical specialist in my area. Refusal to allowing member to get specialist outside their network, even though they have none available in my area. Even when there is an urgent medical issue.

Sonja A., a member services agent at Alignment Healthcare, went extra miles over and beyond in helping me, a new member, with questions and problems related to finding providers, referrals, missed tele-health appointments, and the process of care authorizations. Her compassion, empathy and understanding of my specific situation, effectively and successfully led to a satisfactory resolution. I imagine I am not the only member she saved from dis-enrolling due to unsatisfactory experiences. Thank you Sonja for your excellent assistance!

BEWARE - Do NOT go with this insurance! They totally suck and DO NOT care about your health at all. Their concierge people do not speak english nor do they know their own benefit which allows them to give you FALSE untrue advice. Horrible insurance I've dealt with EVER! Very Unprofessional and rude! Be warned! Incompetent people and put your health at risk.

If all the HMO healthcare plans I ve been on, Alignment has been stress free! As a senior on only Social Security, I appreciate this plan. Coverage is either full coverage or very small deductible (dental). So I recommend it.

This health plan has been so great and I can't say enough positive things about the experience I have had so far. Great customer service and great benefits. I am looking forward to sticking with them for the long haul and look forward to what is to come.

After reading many of these positive reviews praising specific members of the Alignment team all of which match our own experience with their member services department I know why we ABSOLUTELY LOVE Alignment Healthcare! We enrolled my husband in the Sutter Advantage HMO Plan last October 2019, and the Alignment team has helped us navigate the crazy world of Medicare all these months, helping to make the specialist referral process smoother, and answering our questions respectfully, promptly, and professionally every time we ve called. Amazing service especially in these tough COVID times!!
And now on to a specific team member, Delores S, whom we want to recognize for going ABOVE AND BEYOND in her kind, compassionate, tireless service helping us through a very tough time this last month after my husband had an unexpected cardiac event, which we didn t recognize as such, or understand the possible severity of, until afterward. We then realized he needed to be seen by a cardiologist, and although his PCP saw him the next day as we hadn t gone to emergency the day of and referred him immediately to a Sutter Roseville cardiology group, we were unable to find anyone who could see him before October or November(1-2 months away) due to the pandemic backlog. Scary, especially for me! (My husband took it in stride much better than I.)
Delores caring, compassionate, and patient demeanor and words meant the world to me! She took extra time and called to expedite the referral services the first medical group we were referred to had not called back after three days and helped my husband s PCP referral nurse cut through the red tape. In addition, she has called back several times to make sure my husband has been receiving the care needed, and he has. What a blessing to have Delores and her team on our side! We simply cannot say thank you enough, and are grateful God brought this wonderful young woman to aid us when we needed it most. and we continue to share our positive experiences with Alignment with our Medicare age friends!

Called Allignment for a client of mine. She is 85 ...

Called Allignment for a client of mine. She is 85 years young and was being threatened by an urgent care for a past due bill of 22.00 . We were fortunate to get Daniel on the phone . He not only assured her the bill was illegal as well as unethical , he called her back the next day to check on her . He found several other clinics around her that take both of her insurances. He is the best !!! A great asset to alignment!!! Thank you alignment and Daniel!!!!

Very happy with Alignment Health Plan I do not have any regrets coming into this plan, working directly with supervisor Alejandra and her manager is great very caring people. I had issues with Papa and pals was assisted wonderfully this plan is not greedy they will take care of your needs and will make sure you are in great living conditions their services are tremendous this plan takes care of their members to a great extent. i look forward to many years more with this plan including with my husband and disabled son thank you Alignment
