I cannot stress enough not to use this company! We were living with family members, paying rent, and our home was destroyed by a tornado. The homeowners insurance company referred them to ALE Solutions and they've given all of us the runaround constantly. They will not return calls, will not answer emails, are very rude and accommodating. They lack basic customer service skills and have confused my in-laws so badly that they don't know whether or not a rental house has been approved, whether or not furniture is just randomly showing up at the rental house or if they get to pick it out. Also, they're refusing to make sure my in-laws have an adjustable bed like they'd had prior to the tornado. Originally, their insurance agent stated that an adjustable bed would be provided. This company SUCKS!

I m not one to write reviews, but my experience with ALE was so awful I felt compelled to share my story in hopes that others won t have to go through what I did. They are slow to respond, have a can t do spirit and operate from a place of fear that someone is trying to take advantage or abuse the terms of their insurance policy.
We blindly accepted the hotel they suggested at first because it was close to our house and they told us it was a hotel they frequently placed clients and that they had never received complaints. When we arrived it was old and dingy and their were moth holes in the blankets. Additionally, the service was lousy. We complained immediately, but it took them 2 days to get us out of there. The reason given was they prepaid for the days and they didn t want to lose the money...when I asked if the hotel would credit them since they worked together often they said no and unless we wanted to pay out of pocket we would have to stay. I felt we were punished from then on for moving hotels.

Originally it was estimated that we would be out of our home for at least a month, but after we complained about the first hotel and insisted on staying a reputable hotel chain in our area, they started booking us in 3-5 day increments instead of booking an extended reservation with the hotel. Every few days we would be checked out of the hotel and I would have to make several calls to the insurance company, ALE and the hotel to sort it out. It took hours out of my day each week, despite my urging and the approval of my insurance company to book us for several weeks. One weekend we were kicked out of the room until I could reach my insurance adjuster. I ended up paying for the night myself and getting reimbursed later...the last straw was when ALE authorized the hotel to use MY personal credit card to pay for several nights of our stay. When I called to get it cleared up they made me submit documentation they sent me originally confirming ALE had made the reservation and that we were still within our approved time period from the insurance company.

I should also mention they are based in Chicago and the lead on the team works from 9-5 M-F as you can imagine. We work, so each time we ran into an issue it was after hours and we had to speak to an associate on the team and RE-explain our whole situation. I mention this because when we first started working with them we got an email from the team lead promising consistency and personal attention. I guess that only applies to issues that arise during normal business hours?

I can t stress enough how much I would recommend avoiding ALE at all cost unless you have endless time to check behind them. Being displaced from your home is hard enough, you don t need the added stress of working with ALE.

Ale Solutions booked two of my homes through HomeAway/VRBO. They cancelled one without enough notice, then did a chargeback for $700 more than they were entitled to, based on my cancellation policy. The second home they booked for their clients who caused over $1,000 in damages to the home and Ale Solutions refuses to acknowledge the damages and says their client needs to pay me. Not a very reputable company, in my opinion!

Do not I repeat give this company any money for a Security deposit . They come up with everything under the sun to not give u your money back. Everything they give come from the dollar store. I sent everything back in great condition because I didn't use hardly anything and they still came up with reasons not to return my deposit

Gave us the option between a hotel literally in the ghetto or a hotel that had mold, ants, leaks, and unprofessional staff. We chose the closer of the two not in the ghetto. We asked to change hotels immediately and said there was nothing they could do. We got the hotel we originally asked for, months later, after we got kicked out of the hotel we were at for complaining about the problems in our rooms. The hotel staff only told this company about their complaints with us and this company couldn't even tell us why. Only the lowest quality hotels do these guys send you to.

My apartment complex was burnt at the top and my floor at the bottom was damaged. This team wilorked with @April Vest at #Erie Insurance and @Dana R. My adjusters agent very superb work and on top of it way too fast. You guys really have made my life so much easier to maintain especially considering I switched hotels a ton and I m sorry again lol but you put me in the perfect #Staybridgesuites and I m finally at ease thank you so much to Jessica Fonni as well she was really sympathetic as well! Thank you with the extension and the adjusters doings I really appreciate it. I truly do if I could give 10 stars I would

After my home burned down, I needed immediate housing and some more long term housing. Aletta @ ALE Solutions called and got me into a local hotel with my 2 cats....couldn't accomodate the dogs so my very allergic daughter took them. We moved 4 times in the first 10 days.. .try that with 2 very scared cats who travel about as well as anyone elses cats....not well at all! After 2 weeks, Aletta, who always seemed to have an attitude with me, called and said good luck! She said that she heard I was happy with the dingy, overcrowded, walk up 3 flights of stairs, have no hot water facility that we have been in. I got online this morning and found MANY apartments for extended stays (some even new properties) that are pet friendly. 2-3 bedrooms, a real stove and dishwasher, some with their own washer/dryers. I don't know what my insurance company paid ALE Solutions, but I am less than impressed with Aletta.

Landlord- rented my house to them. Ale themselves are good. Great service, prompt payment, great tenants, and excellent communication. Their furniture vendors are terrible. Upon move out they tore up my house and left a water valve one. Cost $3500 to fix. I was not reimbursed for these costs. Do NOT rent to Ale.

Hired by my insurance to assist w/living accommodations I requested transferring hotels to be closer to the home and repairs. ALE would not transfer hotel until after threatening to fire them (they re OPTIONAL!) then I got transferred and they refused to assist with living accommodations afterward. I was stuck with expensive hotel bill bk they refused to do what they are paid for.
Not worth the headache!

This company mistreats its vulnerable customers throughout the entire process, swindling them into only the hotels which will pay ALE Solutions the most money. Are there bed bugs? Are the rooms clean? Is there decent service? Who cares! They claim to give the customer what he or she needs, but actually they are only out for the money. Do not use this company's services, and if your insurance adjuster refers you to them demand a different option. I noticed that the positive reviews are months old and out of date. Perhaps this used to be a company with integrity, but they are not anymore.

ALE is the best. They pay on time, handle everything and are wonderful to work with. They are extremely efficient and are really an help when you are trying to find new housing. Hotels and landlords love them because they pay on time. ALE was there for us when we lost our home in a tornado and we never ever had a problem with any of the hotel or housing bills, even when we had to change hotels last-minute. Our ALE rep was right there and took care of everything immediately with the hotel management so we never had to worry or pay anything out of pocket.

I highly recommend them.

Words CANNOT express how exceptional this company is! My point of contact was "Polly" and she was THE BEST. With the damage to my home and the emotional roller-coaster I was going through during that time, and having to situate my hubby and kids, it was "trying" to say the least. BUT POLLY and her Hotel Team were so AMAZING! I never had to worry where we were going to sleep, the furnishings, and we never had to worry about any of the details of even possibly placing our animals. ALE w/Polly made sure that our Hotel and Apartment were furnished down to every detail, clean, safe and "pet friendly". I would recommend ALE to my family, friends and associates in their time of need! Way to Go ALE Solutions and Polly! 5 STARS + 5 more for POLLY!!! A Friend FOREVER.....The Hamp Family

Very unprofessional and rude especially Kelsey. I have always paid on time and the one time I didn't they told the hotel to lock me out, even though State Farm has paid them for most of the cost. She also told the air bnb I was in that State farm wasn't going to extend me so I had to move out and that was untrue.

My initial impression with ALE solutions was a 5 s...

My initial impression with ALE solutions was a 5 star experience. Our house was struck by lightening and my insurance company contracted ALE to set us up with housing since they estimated we'd be out of our house for 6 months. They set us up at a staybridge suites immediately, check-in was seamless and we were able to have our cats stay with us. We were in the hotel for 2 weeks and then were fortunate enough to have a neighbor rent us a house in our same neighborhood, so ALE then handled the furniture rental for the rental house. At first I was beyond appreciative, they gave us more furniture than we even needed and I didn't have to get bogged down with details of picking everything out, I just told them how many rooms were in the house and they handled the rest.

However, the transition out of the hotel into the rental house was not so seamless. Our lease started on a Sunday, and since they don't deliver furniture on the weekends, our landlord was kind enough to allow them to deliver on the Friday before while he was still installing carpeting, cleaning the house, installing appliances, etc so we wouldn't have to sleep on the floor the first night in. The moment the furniture delivery people left, I got a call from our hotel that we were due to check out earlier that day..... Apparently ALE decided to check us out early even though our lease didn't start for 2 more days because the furniture had been delivered. After calling customer service in a panic and thinking it was worked out, the hotel department at ALE only extended the hotel 1 more night instead of 2 and told the hotel to get my credit card information for the 2nd night. So I had to call my insurance adjuster to have her tell them to fix it, because they weren't willing to fix their mistake and listen to our customer service rep even though she told them over and over that the lease didn't start until Sunday. I'm already dealing with so much, so all the extra phone calls to get this fixed was extra stressful. It did work out in the end at least, and I do have to credit our customer service rep, Janet. She was super friendly and tried helping as much as she could, but she could only submit the paperwork and relay the information to the hotel department, they weren't listening to her either.

The furniture they rented us looked great at first glance, but then we started using it.... at first it was a nightstand where the drawer wouldn't open, then the beds were SUPER uncomfortable, and the kitchen housewares they gave us were really cheap quality and barely usable. We decided to buy our own bed to replace the one we lost in our fire and ALE customer service worked with us and scheduled someone to come switch out the nightstand and take the bed away, and they were very helpful and didn't give us any problems. And then a drawer in one of the dressers wouldn't open easily because the bottom was broken, so ALE agreed to switch that out as well. They're scheduled to come today, so my husband is working from home for the first time since moving in, and discovered that the desk drawer was also broken, and then then desk light blew out.

Granted, we should have taken the time to inspect everything when it was delivered, but we're dealing with a million different things right now so standard protocol isn't the easiest to manage. Customer service people been nothing but friendly, and have worked to take care of every complaint we submit, but it's just one thing after another and we're losing our minds having to call them so often.

Overall, I would say they are great for short term hotel solutions, however long term housing leaves a lot to be desired. I'd give them 3 stars since customer service has been great despite the constant issues, however i'm sticking with 2 stars because the quality of what we received is less than average for the money our insurance is paying out for it, as well as the $1000 deposit we had to pay up front for it.

This place will rob you blind! They say they have your best interest at hart! We had to use them thru our insurance company and they put us through the ringer! Very dishonest and will tell a lie to cover one up! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE !!!!!!!!! Anything they say will most likely be BS! BEWARE!!!

So I've read some of the recent reviews and totally disagree. I've been well taken care of by ALE Solutions. I'm treated as a human being and not a case. I offered some suggestions and they placed me in a better hotel then I thought possible. Adrienne and Heather and the others I have talked too. A++++ in my experience. They make sure I'm content and happy and Beside my new house unlivable and seems more and more it breaks. I'm very happy with there service. Thanks for your time ALE Solutions

We had a devastating flood in our home. ALE found us a very comfortable home to rent and filled it with everything we will need during our rebuild. They took the stress out of finding a place to stay. They provided everything down to the soap holders. Nothing is perfect when you experience a catastrophic loss but they were pretty darn close!

ALE Solutions was very helpful when our condo flooded, and they were prompt when answering our requests. They could only do as much as approved from our insurance adjustor, but they were very responsive when we did need them. The personnel were friendly as well.

Was only there for a couple of days. But it was so easy and the manager's were so helpfull and nice. I was afford another job opportunity that was Direct Hire and it was across the street from my house. You cant beat that. This is why i had to quit.

I am so grateful for how easy it was to work with ...

I am so grateful for how easy it was to work with ALE Solutions when we were required to have alternative housing as provided by our insurance company. Every time I called ALE Solutions, they knew who I was even without my having to provide information. They found a location for us to stay in based on our families needs, made the reservations, and kept in touch.

I didn't care for ale solutions, State Farm uses them when you have damage to your home. One day I was on the phone with a representative from ALE solutions and she asked my how much do I pay for rent. I told her and asked her why was it any of her business. She said my insurance company might want her to collect rent money from me. I told the representative from ale solutions that would be handled by State Farm. It seems to me they are swindlers over at ALE solutions. I told her I'm not giving her anything and State Farm handles my account. She got really mad and then wanted to get off the phone. Don't use them. They are only worried about the money. They'll tell you hotels have wifi n don't. I had moved several times because of different issues. Hotels they prefer weren't clean. I just got fed up n found my own hotel that's wasn't on their preferred list. It turned out to be a nicer hotel.

Cathy Metcalf with ALE is absolutely awesome! With all the chaos going on and being shell shocked from the house fire, I was not too focused but Cathy made sure that the process of finding temp. housing was smooth and clear. I was well informed of everything and she made sure that all aspects of the experience went well. I signed the lease and a few days later got the keys to the apartment. I was pleasantly surprised to go in to do the walk through and discovered that the apt. had been furnished (quite nicely I might add) and that many simple items had been included (cookware, linens, etc.).

I appreciate the fact that my ins. co. - State Farm - contracts with ALE Solutions and would definitely recommend using SF esp. since they work with ALE Solutions. Both companies have treated me with the utmost of respect and consideration. I would not wish this experience (fire) on anyone but realistically it happens and I can say that should ALE Solutions be used to provide services, the person dealing with a fire will be well cared for in this respect.

I could go on but I believe I've expressed my utmost appreciation for Cathy Metcalf & ALE Solutions! From my perspective, the are a top notch company and come highly recommended!

My point of contact was Millie she was awesome she took care of everything. We stayed in Hotel for almost two months due to our area being a rural area there is not much to rent. Millie was the go between with our landlord. We didn't have to do anything but move in. Millie the Tolson family thank you so much for all you did after the fire total destroyed our home..

ALE has done absolutely nothing to make finding housing during our insurance claim any easier, it actually has been the opposite. If you have an insurance claim and need housing whether long term or short term, a phone book from the 90s would be better at finding options than these people. They were talked up to having access to resources and options that the public wouldn't have, haha, what a lie that was. Not once have they been able to A. Find housing, B. Secure housing themselves, C. Manage the funds and communicate with the adjuster. On multiple occasions they lied about actually contacting the adjuster and they never actually do what they say they will.

I would definitely believe what their former employee wrote in a separate review here, as my experience definitely makes it believable.

I thought it was a great company until I realized they put me into a rental that was being subleased by two crazy people. ALE didn't conduct a full background check on the fraudulent owners... as a result I had to move out of my rental at 11:00PM to avoid a messy situation. Turns out the real owner of the property had no idea I was living there. Such a mess. The reps at ALE were rude and have a lack of compassion. Be prepared to chase them for communication. I am now living in a hotel with two dogs. I don't recommend this company.

Ale Solutions sent me and my entire family to Hamp...

Ale Solutions sent me and my entire family to Hampton Inn in White Marsh and we were eaten alive by Bed Bugs over the course of less then 12 hours. .. I informed them and they inacted a Bed Bug Protocol had me and my family stay hostage at this Hotel for almost 8 hours waiting for a third party to come (Eco-Lab) and identify the bugs and tell them if it was myself and family who bought them or were they already there. They told me I couldn't go home or to another Hotel because I could carry them with me. Company came out confirmed infestation in 2 rooms that were checked... Ale Solutions moved me to another Hotel and for almost three months we were plagued by Bed Bug Bites and Sleepless Nights... Ale Solutions still sent people to this Hotel to Be Battered as if they didn't know but they did and that is Fraud And Violation of Consumer Protection Laws which I learned yesterday after being informed by a paralegal ..... Shame on you Ale Solutions If You stayed at this Hotel anytime after 10/8/17 and were bitten I would contact a Lawyer

As a former employee all I can say is that A.L.E. SOLUTIONS is not the best way to go with your housings after any kind of tragedy. It would be ok to use for the first few days but realistically you could probably find a better housing solution that fits your family and budget better. They are also not understanding of employees I wouldn t recommend to work there and use them for housing solutions unless you like to throw your money down the drain.

I'm a rental home owner. I can document this story contact me for full details. For here I need to keep it short. ALE Solutions was the deeply involved and assisted in the misrepresentation of a Farmers Insurance policyholder household. They indicated that the renters would be a 'family' with only 3 people and 2 pets on the lease arrangement process. I ended up with 3 additional people not part of the household and 2 large dogs that were not owned by the FARMERS INSURANCE policyholders. I notified ALE and Farmers Insurance about this and they did nothing. My home was ruined by the dogs with feces and urine stains in all of the rooms. These two companies conspired in aiding those people in obtaining a lease under false pretense. They avoided all responsibility by not being part of the lease obligation, all while communicating and transmitting all correspondence. When I confronted them they left me with no recourse for recovery. Even after notifying them of the excess damage to my home, they recently asked for the return of money for deposit. As of today I'm still short over $1400 for the repair, cleaning and replacement keys, remote controls, carpets, plants. I recommend that anyone working with ALE Solutions or FARMERS INSURANCE strongly consider what happened in my case before agreeing to work with any clients they represent unless they are willing to be cosigners or leaseholders.
