Alco Management, Inc. Review

I live in one of their properties the chicasaw place apartments living condition horrible. Infested with bed bugs my kids bodies are being ate up real real bad call the leasing office and ask could i be moved to another unit i was told that i could put my 30 day notice in. They had nu era pest controll come spray bed bugs came back..they sprayed again bed bugs came back..they sprayed again bed bugs came back..this last time they charged me $50 cause i didnt pull my beds from the wall. I have spent at least $200 on drying all the cloths in my home like they told me to do each time they sprayed. Now the bed bugs are back and worst than ever. I contacted Alco front office about the problem, no help.

I live at Parkridge APT in Graham this is the was a average place to live now its got to be one of the worst complex in the county. The management and maintenance don't work together. Slow to act on maintenance task. Never in office during the hours posted on the door. I reported a hole in my ceiling after the hurricane Flo never got it repair. This place is falling apart they stop cleaning the complex sorry type on phone

I lived in a house that I rented from Uptown Homes also Alco Management. I experience over 7 vandalisms to both my car and truck. My last year living there, someone stole the entire AC unit around 2 in the morning while I was in the house. I didn't hear a thing. A few weeks later, someone threw a rock into my kitchen window attempting to break in. I jumped up and they ran away. Soon after that, I moved out. During my move-out, (literally) I came back to retrieve more of my property, someone had come in and took the washer, dryer, and stove!!! I immediately called the cops and got a police report. I have about 6 reports from different incidents. Management is now threatening me to pay for those appliances although they never made me pay for the prior things that were stolen from the property while I was living there. I also have receipts showing where I purchased over $3500 in appliances for my new home. I feel like they are implying that I may have stolen those things. Management is very unprofessional. I have contacted several attorneys that read my lease and agreed that I shouldn't be held responsible. I will NEVER refer or advise anyone to rent from them EVER!! BTW, they hire security to watch over the vacant homes 24 hours a day because they know the area is so bad, thieves will go in and steal anything that isn't nailed down but want to make me pay!!

I live in Parklane Apts and it shows on BBB that this is one of your properties and I wish to know if this is correct, because I have photos and information to share about the poor management and maintenance of these apts.

ALCO is a great company they really work to support the community; ALCO is a company that strives to giveback, and that's a wonderful attribute. Very good people.

Chicasaw place garden would be ran a lot better if ms.mary wasnt the landlord over there. Her and candance gave me an wrongful eviction due to me complaining on my neighbor. She put us out then had me sign a lease not stating i still had to move and days later was served with an eviction paper. Been there 10yrs and never gave her a problem. Bt she careless they disoriented.she wait til she about to take u to court to get u to bring in things when she could of sent a note. So now my chance of finding some could be in jeopardy because of them. Please help

I lived at Cleaborne Point Apartments, the worst mistake I have made. I had some one restricted from coming on the premises, and while I was with police that person was seen there. I wasn't aware of it until I received an eviction notice. At the time I moved out the movers scratched the living room floor, the manager had the entire living room and dining room to the kitchen area replaced; even though there was no damage to those areas. She also ordered the entire door jam be replaced, when only the brass cover on the door jam needed replacing. Prior to barring the person from the premises, he paid her $20 to unlock my door. Corporate did nothing.

I have been on a wating list for 2 years with a apartment complex managed by ALCO and go to update my application today and someone within the company canceled my application 6 MONTHS AGO!! No one contacted me or anything. I am a single mother with 3 children and have been patiently waiting to get to the top of the list so we can actually afford to live on just my income alone from work. Really nice of Y'all. Thanks.

I've been living(BAYBERRY/WOODLAWN APARTMENTS) like this since July 17th I've reached out to Y'ALL several times nothing. Im pass tired n fed up with/the maintenance n office manager folks. I have tttoooo many health issues for this BS. . I also have videos

My son is trying to find an apartment, and he could not even get any information at the site. When my daughter called they told her they had nothing available until the third week of August. Why the difference? An both of them said the person in the office was rude! Is that really the type of person who should be customer facing?

My truck was stolen less than one month after moving in. Also, someome slashed the front passenger side tire on my daddy's car. He's a disabled veteran with DV plates.

The staff they hire in these offices are rude they only treat us like that because they know the majority of us don't have any other place to go I'm fed up with all of it I won't stop until they hire new people they have a lack of communication rude and disrespectful I won't stop until the problem is solved

Its not the best management company ever but its a heck of a lot better than sunshine corporation in my opinion. I love the fact they make it a equal opportunity for any one to live on their property whether its section 8 or not...most turn their nose up when they hear section 8 thinking the very stereotypical response that everyone on section 8 leechs off the government when its not always the case...some people just have fallen on bad terms and need a little help and someone willing to give them a chance. DO NOT SIGN LEASE!! First off, they say its against policy to see the unit before moving in. I insisted. They let me in and there was lots of damages to the floor which did eventually get repaired, no light (none in the living room) to really see anything. Door was open and unit being worked on so could not smell mold yet.

$665/mo and comes with - roaches, fleas, mold, & a management team appears to be desperate for money and evictions. They try and get you in 15mo leases or charge obscene amounts for short term leases. Call long term lease a "discount rate" and blame bloated pricing on short term leases on a computer program.

These people want a lawsuit.

Staff gossips about tenants with maintenance. Unprofessional office. Family at the office. Supervisors offer to help remedy all the issues, then go back on their word, due to an email exchange where legitimate comments were taken the wrong way. Really petty company that doesn't deserve more than 1 star. They move slowly and the office is basically open at random hours. Doctors appts and never ending lunches about 3-5 times a month. Have no concept of "customer is right". Will choose to listen to their own people and they look down on tenants. Expect us to tolerate their lackluster performance. Depend on beat down elder and those with kids who can't afford to go other places. Overall, a nightmare. Don't count on them for anything besides taking your money and emailing you fake apologetic emails for issues that should be permanently resolved. They are extremely cheap with their management and just outright don't care. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE WITH THEM. Write the wrong email and they will retaliate by not managing the issues regarding your unit.

Other issues tenants are having

Never picks up the phone (cried about being yelled at, so email only, as they try to get proof of what you said.. Which can get a bit ridiculous, considering there could be a website all tenants are given to submit work orders themselves, and if a tenant is yelling, you just hang up. Or maybe dont work as a property manager? It just doesnt make sense for the property phone line to not be answered.)
Broken A/C units, after fixing bill gets cut in half, so the newer the unit the smaller the bill, old units not replaced
Major roach infestations
Grime buildup on the side of buildings
They don't powerwash, so excessive spider webs on windows (you're expected to clean them yourself)
Maintenance takes forever, until constant emails occur, then it usually happens same day or next day (very odd)
Inconsistent pest control (sometimes they spray unit, other times they dont)
When work order is open, they have permission to enter unit at any time, but work orders take so long, there isnt much privacy.
Major issues like infestations get no serious management, but a parked car in the wrong place will be handled within 1 business day with a notice on every door (odd)

Questions we have... Do you see infestations at business places? Restaurants? Anywhere professional? no. Only here. They've given up on the tenants. DONT LEASE. The only 5 star reviews they have are not related to the properties they manage.

Parkridge Apt. Located in Graham, NC, is the worst apartment complex I ever lived at, the worst I ever seen. I stayed in a lot of apartments, some for cheaper and different places but nothing tops this. Staff at Parkrigde Apt. Is rude and unprofessional, very poor service and nobody is ever at work on time but the maintenance man. Alco management team is even worst!!! Just stay away, it deserves 0 stars.
