Love the cake and cheesecake. My favorite is the blueberry gluten free cup.

But I've come here plenty of times and the staff is always piss looking. Frowning and huffing. One girl rolled her eyes at me once even. It's like they hate their jobs and you can tell 100%. Which makes ordering uncomfortable as all hell.

Best desserts and cutest area! Try their marshmallow hot chocolate and apple pie with ice cream! So good!

Found this place when I was in Abbotsford for a tradeshow. A great little cafe. Lots of tea and coffee options. A few sandwiches: I would highly recommend the ham & cheese panini with spicy aoli... Yum! I also indulged in the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake... Also Yum!

Absolutely delicious desserts and the place is so beautiful, the update from the old location is unreal!
Service was excellent.
Lots of cozy and comfortable seating.
Will be back lots!!

The cake used to be good I bought 4 slices for the family paid 26 dollars and every body said it taste sour so I phoned the lady today and she said it has cheesecake also in the cake I said you should be letting people know it has cheesecake in the cake cause not everybody likes cheesecake her answer to me was next time ask the. Girls at the front to me I always bought cake I thought cake was cake cheesecake is cheesecake it's to bad cause now the cake has gone gross so I will not recommend people going here anymore

Love the new location and the food and coffee were great! It was a little confusing getting our food vs. drinks but we figured it out :)

The worse cake you could possibly have. Tasteless and DRY. How can you have a dessert business and not know how to bake a cake? It blows my mind. Just horrible.

Went in to get some cheesecake afterwork as I was waiting in line one of the owners came in and started screaming at his worker about throwing out a used gift card felt so bad for the poor girl very unprofessional owners i won't be returning

Awesome place to go for more than just cake and pie. The wraps and meat and cheese pie are good. Great coffee, latte's and Americano's as well. The deserts are so good when you're waiting in line don't be surprised if you change your mind on what you want at least 3 times before you place your order as everything looks so good. Try not to drool on the glass while looking at the cakes, pies, and cheese cakes. Get the scoop of ice cream on the side.

Best place for amazing cheese cake, I've been coming here for over 6 years now and it's always been amazing The food is also not too bad, I really like the chicken rolls.

Very poor customer service at the front ordering counter. The employees use a very rude tone of voice with some customers. During my last visit I witnessed someone who identified themselves as the manager and owner of the establishment, she was being extremely rude to customers ahead of me in line. This was as a place I visited often. I will not be back and will not recommend this place to family and friends.

The food is incredible. They've got a good sandwich + side combo for lunch, and their deserts are out of this world. Pretty good tea selection too. The service is usually good, though not always.

Since 2014, I ve been a customer at Afterthoughts. The cheesecake is amazing and on my recent visit, I had the KitKat Cheesecake and it was marvellous. Even with COVID, we are allowed to sit in which I really like. The tables are marked off to keep with physical distancing. The employees were kind and had good recommendations on what to try. Definitely will be back.

The place is hands down the best dessert place in Abby. The Vancouver cheesecake is a staple. I love the tall cakes.

New location is very well decorated and it feels much nicer. The dessert is as good as always!

The new location is really beautiful and the staff were very patient and friendly.
My kids were taking a long time deciding but the girl working was being very kind and helpful while they decided what they wanted.
I was sitting next to a group of older ladies who were talking loudly about how the new place isn t as cozy and is too noisy,
but I thought the complete opposite.
It is a very warm environment and so much better than the stuffy feeling of the old location.
I would go and see for yourself before listening to any silly chit chat from those who aren t open to change :)

Thou they are in a new place, this is still one of the best places for cheese cake. And coffee.

The manager, an older blonde lady with short hair was very rude the last time I went to the restaurant. I have not returned since and will never return there until the staff and management is changed. All guests are not welcomed and treated equally. Save your money and go somewhere else. I wish I could give 0 stars, unfortunately I have to go with 1.

Tried to argue with me about a piece missing out of my piece of cheese cake n said fine I'll just give you a smaller piece. After that decided to give us a $1 off. Come here for a slice of attitude and slow services.

good food, staff are unfortunately usually unfriendly and can be.... off putting. I gets its dark and 7pm. But the lack of cheer here is kinda sad.

They have forever won my business as I am ACTUALLY allowed to put my own milk and sugar in my coffee.... unlike Starbucks. Bravo Afterthoughts

The best place to go to for dessert. I always get birthday cakes from Afterthoughts and it s never been disappointing. Amazing staff.

Paninis are AMAZING, just a little thin. My fave is the chicken pesto!!! The chocolate mousse is so rich and to die for!!! The staff seemed to have different answers for things, so that was a little annoying. And they only got 4 stars because whoever answered the phone was kind of rude, and then hung up on me. Otherwise, I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

Went there for a pie for a birthday party. Apperently they have a quota of pies they sell in a day and once met they refuse to sell anymore.

I love the cheesecakes at Afterthoughts! The Vancouver cheesecake is delicious! Even after moving away, it's still the one place I visit when I'm passing through town. So it was really disappointing when I went to the cafe during COVID and the staff were not wearing masks while handling the food or serving. In fact, I didn't see anyone in the entire place wearing a mask. I also noticed that the service was not what it used to be at this new location. I did go back a second time and it was the same. I love the cheesecake but I won't be coming back until after the pandemic as it's concerning that they aren't following proper health and safety protocols. (The 2 stars is for the cheesecake:)

The cheesecake was alright. For $7.61 a slice could have been better. Will have to try the other goods everything looked great. The older woman behind the counter last night was rude and non engaging. Geez lighten up a bit when customers are talking to you . Shouldn't be in customer service if your not a people person. Miserable!

I wish I could give zero stars. This place is the worst, I pre-ordered a cake for a colleague and they completely ruined it by making the wrong one. After I noticed it was the incorrect cake they wouldn't return my money and insisted that I made the mistake when I ordered. It was horrible because my friend who we ordered the cake for had an fruit allergy to the cake topping they added and we were stuck as the Baker refused to correct it. This place provided me the worst customer services with their horrible attitude. On top of all of this, the cake tasted horrible
considering the expensive price. I do not recommend this place.

I love this place. The food is always delish, the coffee and tea drinks are amazing, and the people who work there are just the loveliest.

This place is awesome! Best dessert I've had in a long time. A little more than I like to spend as a poor college student, but so worth it. The worst is having to decide WHAT to get. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Customer service is lacking here, sadly. I have been coming here for the last 5 years and it is going downhill. The one older lady with glasses ontop of her head always has a rude tone, and seems like she is annoyed of the customers and gets frustrated at them. The younger girls here are kinder and helpful. The desserts are great, my favourite is the Vancouver cheesecake (unbaked) - very light, fluffy and creamy. The baked cheesecakes (almost all others) are very dry - although some may like this. Afterthoughts has a very warm and cozy atmosphere and could have lots of potential. Customer service training is needed!!!

If you like cheesecake, stop thinking about it and just go.
The other desserts and coffee are good, but the cheesecake is what cheesecake should be.
Tea is cheap here as you just pay by the tea bag.
It can have a bit of a romantic atmosphere at night too.

Little bit of a line up, but staff was friendly and apologetic for the short wait.

My favorite cafe in all of abbotsford. The coffee is quite good and the pastries are phenomenal. The best thing about this place are it's cakes. The cheesecake is so delicious and I haven't had good cheesecake anywhere else other than in the States. A must try cafe.

Delicious lemon tall cake(add a layer of lemon curd & would be over the top) & BlackBerry apple pie was big and very tasty.

Great selection of desserts whether your in the mood for some cheese cake or layer cake. They also have delicious chocolate mouse and cheese cake cups for people who need a sweet pick me up on the go. For lunch until late and with limited seating outside.

They have the best cheesecakes in town, but the customer service is really bad. The servers DO NOT deserve a tip! Me and my friends used to hangout there once a week, but one time when my friend thought his food was not fresh, he asked the server, she replied "Oh! I don't know, maybe it's 3 days old, I don't know, I'll check" She did not even have the courtesy to pick up the plate from our table, and pretend to be sorry. We waited for her to come back and at least apologize for the bad experience, but she just carried on with her stuff and completely ignored us. I left a note saying "VERY BAD SERVICE" on the plate filled with food. I gave her 20% tip and still she had the audacity to say that the food was 3 days old. I was very disappointed because I loved this place, but one bad experience was enough for me to tell all my friends to never go there. Next time if I am craving their Cheesecake, I would rather get a take-out than put up with their Servers.

Really nice staff and service. The food and desserts taste really good. I would even say that I prefer the coffee here over the coffee at Starbucks. This is a nice Cafe if you need to study too.

Great place to go for cheesecake and desserts, and always is pretty full in the evenings! Every time I go, though, I can't help wishing for that special missing piece... A little extra room between tables, an update on decor, a departure from the currently used fast food-style plastic trays... All the pieces are there for an amazing place, but it comes up just a little short on atmosphere.

The white (Vancouver?) cheesecake seems to be suitable for Korean taste.

The cheesecake is delicious. The customer service is horrendous. The staff are unfriendly and generally inconvenienced by having to serve customers. Don't expect to get anything here but good cheesecake.

One look inside and you find pie and cake heaven.

Be aware they have posted notice in the window they are moving. But they have not included the move information on their website. So don't panic if you arrive at the mall to find them gone.

I was so happy I found a place where I can indulge in a dessert that suites my style of eating (keto). The cheesecake I've had has been good, and they offer different flavours on different days (would be nice to have a choice on a daily basis). I'm taking away a star due to the customer service. I've never been treated "rudely", but never, on any occasion I've visited the store, have I gotten the impression anybody there likes their job. There is no warmth or friendliness. No smiles. It's like dealing with a strictly business transaction. Good thing the food is good or I wouldn't continue going there.

If I can put zero stars I could. My friends and I bought 3 desserts + 2 drinks during our visit at Afterthoughts. We were studying and very focus on our work. The area we were in was kind of noisy with chatter from other students studying, but we didn t mind.

We were told to leave, not privately, but in front of the whole cafe because we weren t paying customers and were not allowed to sit there to study. We told the lady we bought 3 desserts + 2 drinks, but she demanded we pack up our things and go. At first we were confused and offered to clean up our table and put away our books, but we were told no and we had to leave because we weren t paying customers when we have bought 3 dessert + 2 drinks before sitting down. The table next to us were also students studying and arrived around the same time we have and we re not told to leave. We realize we were the only coloured people in the store and felt extremely embarrassed and we will not be coming back or recommend this cafe to our friends and family. This is extremely disrespectful and uncalled for and I hope the store can clean up their act as I have had people reach out and say they had a similar experience.

I have ordered a tiramisu cream vancouver and gave a try today , the cake made me so disappointed as I was expected some cafe flavour between cake layer, instead the cake taste like just normal cake from superstore with normal light cream , spend $7.09 bought a tasteless cake is kind of waste money . my husband make better tiramisu than afterthoughts .

Awesome place!! Staff are great and the desserts are amazing!

All the desserts I've gotten here are delicious. The keto cheese cake cups are my favorite. You'll pay a bit more but it's well worth the quality. I don't dine in, I only take out so I can't say much about the space as an experience, but it is pretty.

Have great dessert and drinks. I really liked their Apple Cider.
