Airport with many functions and many European destinations, pity about the expectation of fairly long storage
Airport with many functions and many European destinations, pity about the expectation of fairly long storage
Airport a bit overloaded because of heavy tourist traffic in Venice but simple and not bad. The nice side is that you can reach Venice by bus boats located 10 minutes walk at the exit of the airport.
Rent Car Fire Fly car collection say indecent and an understatement. I have been waiting for 2 hours and I do not know how many hours I have left to wait. I recommend future travelers other solutions.
After the recent expansion and renovation works it deserves 5 stars!
Ground transport is terrible. The drivers don t care that we will miss our connecting flight.
I expect better of VCE.
This place is ridicoulously crowded and disorganized. I was traveling with a childern and they made our life impossible for nothing at security check.
Very large but well laid out airport. From here it is possible to take flights to the most disparate Italian and foreign destinations.
Compliance with the Covid-19 regulations is respected except in the courier or at the entrance gate where there is no monitoring of possible gatherings. Should they arise, they are in no way checked.
It must take a special type of skillset to run an airport so inefficiently and incompetently.
It was horrible. our flight had over 1 hour delay. We hadn t had places to sit so we sat all the time on the floor. I won t fly again to venice. Also when the gate opened there wasn t space to stand in line and we waited for the bus which should bring us to the plane another half hour! Just HORRIBLE!!
Very nice, clean, large airport and all the flights were on time.
With the work currently underway it was a problem to find a luggage room. For the rest, everything is OK.
Have quite the mixed feelings about this airport. I have visited this airport quite frequently but the customer service at the vendors here are not the nicest. Not certain it is because the place is always packed but I have never experienced such negative customer service at other big airports.
Venice is working to become an international airport with all the trimmings ahead
Convenient access ... the must is to take the vapporetto
The airport is open all night, you can come on bus line 5 with a single ticket of 1.50 instead of the tourist ticket of 8.
Beautiful airport. Plenty of parking available, covered and uncovered. New indoor passage to arrive directly in the area to buy tickets, take the boat and get to Venice. There are sea transport is of public type, a more affordable price, but so many people and so many stops, both from the private type, faster, fewer stops, cost a bit higher.
Or you can decide to travel by bus, which arrives and leaves in front of the airport exit.
Excellent and recommended. To be used for sure!
Quick check and helpful staff. Venice airport is modern and well structured, inside there are various shops, a pharmacy and various dining options. There are some car parks, the one in front allows free quick parking for 10 minutes.
The Venice airport is unique !!! I recommend everyone to book the seat F in the plane, the one near the window, while landing you can see Venice from above!
pretty!
Convenient to Mestre station and the motorway exit.
Clearly superior to Treviso A. Canova airport, in terms of services and personnel.
Architecturally very beautiful structure divided on two floors on the ground floor arrivals to the first departures floor. Clear and obvious signs for travelers. Inside, all primary services are present. The place is clean and welcoming. The price of fast parking is 6.50 per hour and a coffee and croissant at the internal bar costs 3.60
Airport Medium Large, unclear directions, disabled parking not very convenient, poorly organized assistance.
Check in took over almost two hours to complete for one single flight. Staff worked extremely slow and the luggage band at check in broke. This caused a delay of the flight and people with connections might not make it. Super unprofessional airport considering they ve got so many tourists and visitors coming in annually.
Very slow check in, passport control and boarding. 1.45 in a row continues :(
Well located modern airport although not as large as expected for the amount of flights operating to/from the airport.
No problems experienced with average wait times for check-in, security and boarding.
Transferred to/from Mestre Station using bus service from outside the airport which was reasonably priced with frequent services-although the water bus looks like an interesting option if staying in the city centre.
dirty airport with lots of mosquitoes, even worse than an airport in the Africa.
Attitude of the airport bus driver is one of the poorest I have ever seen.
One star is too generous. Badly signposted and organised. Everything for sale is overpriced. The deli counter at the Bottega dei Sapori is badly managed: the front of the queue changes depending on the whim of the counter assistant and she also randomly changes her mind on where you should pay. Nothing is straightforward in this airport. I feel sorry for people who have not experienced other better run airports.
To the question "what was Airport Marco Polo like" I can only answer "empty"
Not the best, but on the other hand it is comfortable ...
longest queue ever at passport control. need an hour after security check to get to gate. really inefficient layout as restaurants and shops have very little business due to everyone waiting in line for passport control
Nice, well-organized, modern, clean, newly renovated airport, but with a few quirks. Check-in at Lufthansa is relatively quick, the security checks are carried out by default, but the Italian airport employees hyperactive turn the ropes for gears in every queue. Very annoying and only for particularly patient: Most flights start here with a decent delay! Unfortunately, there are too few seats for waiting guests. The shops are designed exclusively for first-class passengers and absolutely overpriced, even in the gastro area.
If you're arriving it's a great airport. There will be kiosques to catch busses, trains, taxis, and water transport. If you depart from here AND you ate checking in baggage, you're not allowed to check them in until an hour before your scheduled embarquement.
Service in this airport is beyond a joke. We had a very unpleasant wait for our flight. It is also incredibly busy and lacks general seating.
International crossroads of flights .. A lot of air traffic .. But organized and above all clean .. With many shops in the waiting gallery, a large contemporary and technological structure equipped with every comfort and safety ..
It was OK! Fast security check with nice staff! Good shopping opportunity! However, boarding was done and then we had to wait in the aisle until the plane was ready! Been bad time management!
This is shameful people sitting on the floor everywhere, no gate seats. Security check is also shameful
Parking too expensive !!!!

A splendid holiday in Venice ruined by the experience at this airport on departure. Most f*** all disorganized airport I have seen so far. Direction signs are vague at best, no continuity, displays are in Italian including destinations. It's rather hard to look for your flights when all the cities of the world are spelled in curious forms of the word 'staccato'. 1 star only because Google won't allow half a star.
... I was pleasantly surprised
... for silence, compliance with anti Covid rules .... very well!
Sheer bedlam from the moment you walk into the place, never quite know where one queue starts and another finishes. Never been more relived to get out of an airport.
Possibly the worst experience at this airport today and have been using it for 6 years. Verbally abused by check in staff this morning while travelling back to Dublin with Aer Lingus. Complained to management at the airport and got no result.
The airport is totally mismanaged, completely chaotic; no order, no signage and is unable to cope with the passenger volume. The management are more concerned with building new shops and bars rather than passenger safety and improving the level of customer service.
Crowded. It took an hour for our suitcases to get to the belt after arrival. On the way back we had a delay of an hour because there were no buses available to bring us to the plane. Also, the staff at the lost and found were hiding behind a curtain (during opening hours! and they were pretty rude. Did i mention it was crowded with people?
RAMMARICATO ... TREVISO AIRPORT: disembarked yesterday (24/06/17) with the flight CTA TSF / FR2040 h 21.20, my first impression is of wonder for the sportiness (perhaps due to the haste and the need for profit) with which the plane enters its stall with the left wing a few meters from the tanker refueling another aircraft, my perplexity increases when I see that the mass of people getting out of our plane reaches the main building of the airport on foot WITHOUT ANY MOVEMENT THAT GUIDES US OR ANY indicator sign, all with the characteristic order of a GREGGE ... young woman who orders me abruptly to stop and go back a few steps, irritated by the authoritative look of the young orderly, I point out that NOTHING COULD LEAD ME TO KNOW I HAD TO DRIVE ME, if not late vo scolding the young individual, the answer was IF THE GROUP STOPS YOU MUST STOP with the group (small group of people who had stopped but to take some selfies) in other words THE ARTICLES of the consolidated text Legislative Decree 81/08 entrusted not to the professionalism and competence of the attendant BUT TO THE RULES OF THE STOCK
Effective Airport. Good Transport Connections. Good Choice of Shops. Security a bit slow. Not too many loudspeaker calls
Writing this review while sitting on the floor like many people around me. The number of seats is ridiculously low and you won't find a free table for eating. You can't find your way anyway with queues of people occupying all the small space. This airport has too many passengers for its size
If you come early, there is no waiting. The airport is clean and of a good size. It was good to have a variety of means of transportation to go to the main island of Venice. I can find everything without difficulty. A convenient airport
When people ask me of my trip to Marco Polo airport in Venice, you know what I tell them? I tell them that it is one of the biggest disgraces to human decency this side of the Atlantic! Utterly disgraceful! For starters the quality of customer service was truly shocking, the staff at the airport need some lessons in grace and decorum. Secondly the food was abysmal, over priced and tasteless with very few options. Thirdly, it seems that an effective queuing system is not a word that is in the Venetians dictionary, made me feel like we were herded around in a zoo!
I would not wish this experience upon my worst enemy, and I hope that the airport may start to function as one!
Don't buy expensive food and beverages before check-in, you will have more options after you pass the security. But the whole hall after check-in is very hot and feels as if there is no air!!
You should give the way of those who go there to take a person to find parking at least one hour for free, tonight I went to pick up my daughter and the long-term parking was available (14 euros for 2 hours seems to me exaggerated), I have found 2 carabiniere who kindly directed me to park near the control tower (maximum one hour, it was fine with me, but it was a kilometer and a half from the arrivals.
Given the possibility for people to find parking for a short time, I noticed that many of them were waiting in the car, but it is a monitored area subject to fines for those who stopped, or passed for more than 7 minutes, in addition to the carabinieri (very kind) with a siren sound they made the moving vehicles move.
Think about it, the discomfort of these people.
Control structures absolutely undersized. The risk of missing the flight is real!
Just arriving by boat at an airport makes the difference !!!
I get hives every time I have to use it, both at the start but above all at the arrival. The basic problem is the structure too small to manage the number of flights passing through it: endless queues and waits at drop baggage, security checks, passport checks (with columns for automatic control of the latest generation that are permanently not functioning), baggage drop off. Fingers and ladders that never arrive, and at each landing you are seized for a minimum of 10min inside the plane.
The new walls of water oh yes, a joy for the eyes! In the meantime, half of the elevators are permanently out of service, three bathrooms on the cross for an entire terminal, restaurants that close at 10 pm and those who have seen each other have seen themselves, parking lots comparable to a robbery (the P4 long stop, the cheapest, with the excuse of the extension it went from 6.50 to 10. per day for the others we speak from 12.50 up), malfunctioning wifi and whoever has more.
Instead of installing drinking fountains and cool things, MAKE THE AIR WORK WORTHY OF THE THIRD WORLD and not of the city that the whole world envies us.
A scandal. I traveled from this airport for the first time in 2016, on the way back they slept to put my luggage on the roller ... which means they unloaded my suitcase from the plane but it's not clear where they put it and they found it only the next morning, when they called me and told me that if I wanted it immediately I had to go and get it (2h and a half by car) because they, as an airport, could not send it to me since it was I who "didn't pick it up" ... absurd! I try again two years later and on my return I find myself having to face more than an hour in a row at document checks: 3 out of 12 branches open without any distinction between EU and non-EU citizens. To the first complaint they reply: the fault of the many flights . What a poor organization, alas typically Italian!
Small airport accessible via water taxi or car taxi. Airport does not open its doors til 4am, we got to the airport at 3:30am for our flight at 6:30am and had to wait outside. It was completely empty with doors locked and lights dimmed, doors were unlocked at 4am but check-in counter wasn't operational until 4:30am. Customs kiosk for stamp for tax refunds opens at 5:30am, the kiosk is right in front of security. Tax refund is a 2 step process, get the stamp from Customs before security then upstairs to tax refund kiosk by boarding gate 14 (which wasn't open by my boarding time -_-).
Modern and clean airport with everything you need - food, drink, charge points etc.
The airport itself is a rather long walk from the Alilaguna boat station, but the walkways are well air-conditioned so it's all good even in the summer. A much shorter walk to the bus station, which is also a faster and cheaper way to get to the city than the boats.
The free wifi was very convenient and they even have staff walking around assisting perplexed passengers on how to get to the city center.
Stupidly left my laptop at the security screening when departing, but was elated that they kept it. Very thankful it wasn't stolen. They don't pick up calls but emails are promptly responded to. Unfortunately they don't deliver it back to your home address, so you either have to get it yourself, ask someone to get it for you, or ask a courier company. I chose option 1, but a small price to pay for what the laptop is worth.
We like the Airport, it is very easy to navigate inside and outside, when we take our transport to Venice from Marco Polo Airport, we took the AeroBus which are very near and accessible from the exit of the airport
Too many shops, not enough seats. They are compelling the travellers to buy.
A nice efficient airport. Don't fall for the water taxi rip off
Good connections to Venice by bus and water bus. Not enough seating at the gate.
The airport works great and is also very well maintained. I managed to get out very quickly.
75 euros for 2-day parking in the 'long stay' area. Exaggerated.
Very rude security staff. Unfortunately there is no way to give no stars. And by the way, all the airport staff barely could speak or understand english.
The aiport is closed from the last arrival of the day until 4am. So we were told. No in, no out. No bathrooms outside, no seating area. The door magically opened for some at 3am. International aiport.
Average sized airport, notthing too fancy, was kinda expecting it to be a bit more nicer, the directions are slightly more hidden so it takes a bit longer to find stuff and to get around. Its not busy which is good.
Aesthetically very beautiful and improved with recent works. Quick control area. Parking spaces within easy reach
Allow many many hours for passport control. Total mess!
