An airport like any other. Large but a little messy, it could have been better organized. Ultra expensive bars with no alternative (water 2.50 in the kiosk) and with little choice, discreet shops. Favorable points: speed of checks, many seats towards the windows, areas which are architecturally attractive (the wing connecting the airport and the car rental area).

The airport is good, but if you encounter an unusual situation, then get ready to solve the problems yourself, the local staff are clueless, contacted the Aeroflot representative office (located on the second floor), the girls helped
Their staff wasn't very friendly and all night their alarms kept going off. I find it interesting that there are hours of operations for this airport too - not the stores inside, but the actual airport. There were a group of people outside trying to get in and their staff said they don't open until 3am. It's nearly November and cold out, I just find that odd. Additionally they only have one vending machine that only accepts cash if you need something during the night. There is an ATM but the 20 taken out can't be used on the machine. And maybe I don't fly enough to know my way around an airport, but my flight specifically wouldn't allow me to check in on their self check out. I did it on my phone, which thankfully they offer 6 hours of free WiFi. If you need to stay overnight due to public transportation, layovers, or whatever just be prepared...
Today was great very well organised as long as you are . I advice check with your airline on travel arrangements before arrival to check in it will save you a lot of stress . Be safe
Tragic new design Airport. There is nowhere sign "departures" so we were walking around until information told us it is "security". What a joke. It should be the same on all airports to avoid confusion.
Quite good and clean airport. This airport does not so big but it has all shops and bars all you can need. There is base of a lot of low cost airline company. In front of airport is 10 minutes free parking like a drop on or drop of area what is very cool.
28/12/2018. '' Dead radar 'flight moved to the next day at 13.20 we arrive at the airport move the flight again at 19.30, we hope to leave but the situation seems critical. How to spoil the holidays to families and companies of friends
One of the most inhospitable airports among those I know. Who manages it, provides services at the poverty level. I understand that an airport is managed to earn money, but if you earn a little less and provide services that I don't say are excellent, but at least modest, everyone would gain. The detailed list of outages I don't do, it would be endless ... from the soap dispenser of the bathrooms (one milligram at a time), to the energy supply to charge the phone (after half an hour you have charged the 5% battery, if in the meantime, don't use it though), the infinite time it takes to get baggage, the mileage queues for non-EU citizens to check passports (and sometimes even for EU citizens), air conditioning that if it didn't exist it would sweat less, exaggerated prices in all the shops and so on to infinity. Moreover, the crusade that they carry out against the parking companies in the area, not making them enter the "loading unloading" area with their vans, very bad, thus creating an odious disservice for all users who prefer to use these car parks than those inside the airport. Venice deserves more ...
Hi, I have a flight to Rome at 6:20 am. I was thinking of staying directly at the airport as I have to be there by 4am. But I was wondering: will the airport be open at night? Does anyone know how to answer me?
Clumsy ... without a proper sign ... you have to guess ... and if you have to pick up a car from the rental ... the searches are exhausting ... a real nightmare
More than an international airport, it looks like a small economic mall. Not cheap the prices of sandwiches (6.50 euros) and various ... wait until the last to go to the Gates, no comfort no nothing inside.
Bag drop took 30minutes, security took 30minutes, minimal food after security, airport express bus is NOT from same company as water bus. Different company, check to buy right ticket. Bus from water bus company had standing room only and took 50% longer for same trip. Same price!
Poor wifi, only a handful of electrical outlets that require crowded standing or leaving your device unattended, overzealous security that confiscates souvenirs when post-security gift shops sell more dangerous items.
Judgment under review until the end of the complex expansion work. We will see dismantled construction sites if a butterfly gets rid of the cocoon, for now messed up and noisy.
The fourth Italian airport but from the third world compared to the best airports. Few restaurants, few ATMs, expensive parking lots, crowded in the summer and during a cinema show and biennial. Endless journey with luggage to and from the dock. Venice should offer more and better
Beautiful airport, but queuing for over an hour to check in a bag is ridiculous. Either the staff are inadequate or the systems are not fit for purpose.
One of the worst airports. People can't speak simple English and I'm foreign too. Pity for such a nice country. Staff extremely unhelpful. Easy jet staff are bullies. Because I didn't speak Italian they told me I cannot board while giving Italians free passes for luggage. In front of me. I had to come back and someone else let me on the plane. Wow.
The most annoying airport in Italy. Always takes forever to check in. Usually long queues with different colored people who are not in order with their documents, half a household's luggage and hold up the whole lot. Unfortunately, there must be a lot for my job. Is a small airport, but I would certainly advise you to be 2.5 hours in advance.
There are two airports in Venice but the main one is here. People from Ryanair are other airports. The car parking rules at the airport have changed and it is possible to park at a 7-minute friend's pick-up. It is said that it is a fine of around 230 euros when parking in a rare place.
So it s one hour before our flight and a gate hasn t been assigned yet. Scrambling through all sorts of poorly labeled signs and hordes of people. If possible, choose a different airport.
Modern and welcoming fast security checks nice premises in the departures area final surprise upon arrival suitcases delivered quickly 2 minutes from arrival at the terminal
This airport is getting worse this year: it is the umpteenth slot machine: from this year there is no longer a free average / medium stop one minute from the entrance, instead there is the brilliant find of the paid parking lot, very supervised so that no one can stay out of it for more than 7 minutes, complimentoni the geniuses that direct, plan and design the innovations of this structure. Now who has to stop for a short time or take the incoming people must be satisfied with the short stop ( from 15 it is reduced to "well" 10 minutes) or park at Tessera in every hole available because the free parking airport (distance mileage ...) is always full as an egg. In perfect line with Italy these days more and more dark ideas and foresight.
No assistance for disabled people unless it is less than 2.5 hours before departure. I arrived 3 hours before my flight and no one wanted to help. I had to walk with crutches all the way to the chack in counters and wait
I don t like this airport. Potentially one of the worst airports I ve seen. The main issue is a virtually complete lack of a seating area. Everything is occupied with some sort of shops. The items in most of the shops are overpriced an More
Well x rapid Covid test for those coming from countries at risk Badly bad for indication and relative path to find the car rental offices. Yet I do not think it is difficult to put clear and unambiguous indications.
The airport has improved a lot in the recent year, but the staff is still generally rude, the bathrooms are dirty and the seating areas are uncomfortable.
It s possible to arrive here by bus from Venice and Padua (8.50 ). The tickets are available inside the airport. The airport is very small and with a small choice of bars and restaurants after landing.
How can the interior of the airport not be accessible? If I arrive an hour earlier to bring my family, I can't even have a coffee before departure ??? Mhaaa..I don't understand ..
I used the airport when I went on a high school trip. I found a very innovative airport, clean and well placed. Going to barcelona I was able to compare it and it is a higher span
Nightmare parking. 7 minutes max of transit, then fine; difficult, in these times, look for the right parking. I can not get into the long term parking (20 euros the first 24 hours). I find a "fast" I have to wait for the plane arriving for more than 2 hours, it will cost me 16 euros. Everything seems designed to make you wrong and squeeze. Very bad experience.
1. For as many people that come through here to visit Venice they do not explain how to get to the city very well, especially if you arrive late at night.
2. The Global Blue and customs counters both were missing their attendants. The customs counter attendant was missing for almost an hour. Angry, panicked flyers were nervously waiting, wondering if they were going to miss their flight. I noticed these problems a lot in Europe.
3. Global Blue will not accept any forms until 4 hours before the flight. Those that arrive early to accomplish this task are asked to wait meaninglessly until 4 hours before the flight even if it s by a few minutes. What kind of moronic policy is this?
This is the worst airport I've ever been to. The ground floor has arrivals and departure checking so the flow of traffic is absolutely awful. The location of the desks for check-in are basically non existent and it's impossible to find out which check-in desk belongs to which airline. The design of this airport is absolutely embarrassing and if you plan on flying out of this airport make sure to arrive very early and figure out which desk to get to asap because the lines are atrocious.
I was clearing security on May 1st 2019, at around 7 am and the security line was relatively empty. I took my iPad out to place in a separate bin, and left it behind in a bin. In such a situation, i would feel confident that I could retrieve my iPad right? WRONG I have been trying since 1 hour after the incident to retrieve the iPad to no avail. I m not sure what to think! Did a member of security actually steal it? Why was there no announcement or anyone calling to me to say i left an object behind?? It s pretty bizzare. Aren t there cameras there???? Yes i ve filled out the lost and found form 3 times. And yes I ve filled a police report. It s so weird that you cannot get an item that you left at SECURITY on a SLOW DAY
It's a small airport, most of the security counters are closed therefore waiting time is sometimes too long. Flight departure (gate) information is also not available at most of the displays.
We arrived at Marco Polo airport in November of last year as a starting point for a Mediterranean cruise, at the finger exit of the plane, there was a policeman with a drug dog leaning against the wall. The sheepdog approaches me wagging his tail and I (I am a great lover of animals), stroked his head. The police guy looks at me badly, but he didn't say anything. We went to the baggage claim belt and, what was my surprise, when after 10 minutes + - the same guy and another, they asked me for a passport and they took me to a room telling me that the dog had detected drugs in my clothes . They make me undress, they interrogate me, they pass me through the x-ray machine without finding anything (I have not taken drugs in my life). In short, more than an hour and my wife was desperate without knowing what was happening. In the end, the two of them disheartened, they sarcastically confess that I shouldn't have petted the dog. We almost missed the boat and it made my vacation bitter before it started. I do not return to Italy again (it is not the first incident that happens to me in that country). The real sausages are not common criminals but rather cocky, arrogant, low-key civil servants.
Tiny airport that is serving such a world destination Venice. The world to the boats that link the airport to the city is a long walk. Staff are not as helpful as airport staff should be
As always bad experience at Marco Polo airport in Venice, tonight I waited for the suitcase for 50 minutes. New suitcase, bought before the trip, arrived broken and was probably opened ... Unfortunately I often fly from Venice airport and it's always an odyssey ... I wonder if it is possible to have such a poor airport service company in one of the most important airports in Italy, I think it is the worst in Italy. Airport shameful !!!
