Unfortunately I was very bad about the cost of parking. I parked on the P 3 for 15 minutes and it cost me 25.
Unfortunately I was very bad about the cost of parking. I parked on the P 3 for 15 minutes and it cost me 25.
A non-covid safe airport!!!! On the first floor passengers are forbidden to go out for a smoke. Good! But of course the Police, security, the military, basically ANYBODY WITH A ELECTRONIC KEYCARD I see them walking out and smoking in a group!!! When I asked if I could join the answer was NO. A joke these ao called security measures. I watched this happen for several hours. So it is not an incident but structural. Watch out!
Confusing rental car sign loction
Nice and easy.... small airport
Seems like they're always undergoing work so sometimes it can get a little confusing but overall signs are clear. No free parking on site apart from 10 min free for drop off and pick up.
Parking in the car park for 20 minutes: 6.5. A theft, according to the penal code
No free parking for free cars lined up along the roadways .... Those few who were there closed them.
How disgusting
15/02/2021 ..... I travel every week for work, my luggage has been lost many times, but always on long flights and with stopovers. Today for a direct flight Venice-Frankfurt there are 4 bags left in Venice. In a period of emergency like this with empty airports, I wonder what problems may have occurred. I leave you to imagine the unease created in a Germany with all the shops closed. Bad opinion.
The worst airport I ever been. Slowest passport control. Boarding space has ~50% capacity for the number of people that should onboard. Ventilation - no
Customer's service - nope
Not recommended.
The prices for drink or small food are overpriced, WiFi not working at all. Bad overview over all gates.
Security ask me to take off shoes ?? Maybe because I look not like European?!?
Airline support pretty bad, wanted to fly on flex ticket but the crew not heard of that?? Had to call Lufthansa and missed my flight.
Rubbish airport with the most unprofessional staff who even cannot recognize different countries visas, and without any apologies after asking guests to recheck their visas out of no reasons.
Incredibly disorganized and inefficient boarding system. No real queues, just masses of people to get thru security then ANOTHER queue past security for passport checks. We had to wait for over an hour for our gate to be called to even sit down. But no worries, you can spend thousands of dollars at the MANY expensive brand stores while you wait (Gucci, Prada, Cartier etc). More focused on look and status than functionality.
It is absurd that a faulty radar is enough to tilt an international airport, absurd is also the total disorganization of the staff, completely unprepared on the situation and on how to relate to passengers.
I lost my wallet whilst at the Marco Polo lounge in Venice airport. Lost and found were incredibly efficient through their online system after it was handed in. I lost it on Sunday and had it back, with everything still in it, including cash, on Thursday morning. Thank you. I would like to find out who handed the wallet in.
I can't compare this airport to Pescara, which is the one I normally fly in when going back home.
Despite the name, Venice Marco polo is far away from Venice but very well connected.
I've also the feeling the runaway is shorter than it should be.
The terminal is modern with plenty of shops which are open till late hours as far as I can see. However the majority of these is of course overpriced.
I paid 5,20 Euros a panini made with frozen bred that in a supermarket I would got for 2,50 Euros.
This is the best way to get visitors feeling disappointed from their Italian experience.
Toilets were clean and that's good. Normally considering the number of people transiting in an airports the quality never excel, but this was not the case.
A positive note for the RAMPA (if I got it right) service - the guys who manage the baggage services. They let me find my luggage on the aircraft entrance to pick up an item I accidentally left in the luggage I sent in the hold.
Dirty thieves! They forced me to check in my little bag and they stole the money I had in it ($3000) and a medal cost ($900). Be careful everyone, do not leave your valuable stuff in your bags. I hope that all the staff at this airport goes to hell because I gathered that money amount from 4 months hard work and it was all the money I had.
Not huge, but it has everything, well organized and then the style is there and it shows. Six stars
Very provincial airport! Check-in procedures, baggage check and boarding are pretentious as if it were a Shipoll or JFK ... Luxury stores (Italian brands but now in foreign hands) are empty, a feeling of cathedral in the desert! They even kicked out EZJET flights to give themselves even more air! A ridiculous and snobbish airport! There was no need
Worst airport in the world. For such an important tourist place, Venice needs a bigger, more organized, better staffed airport. Arriving and departing is a nightmare, there are 12 immigration booths but only 3 or 4 are staffed in the rush hours, and the staff simply don't care. There is no information, no help, no air conditioning, people are forced to queue outside at 40 degrees Celsius, and it is so disorganized, it's pure chaos. Departing is just as bad, don't bother checking online, they will force you to queue again (surprise!) and after you pass security you have to queue yet again for a passport control? The waiting rooms are cramped, poorly ventilated, extremely disorganized, as usual there are no signs or staff to help, and the whole experience feels worst than rush hour in the New York city subway. Avoid this airport if you can.
I do not expect smooth communication in English every time I come to Italy, but I have never seen the least of the airport staff who do not speak English.
A bright, spacious and organised airport with boats going to Venice and surrounds. Great and beautiful security too.
It is a small airport. There is a bus to Piazzale Roma.
Plane from Catania one hour late. However the Venice airport, made us fly over Venice 20 minutes, not satisfied, once we landed we waited for the ladder to go down 15 minutes! Thus the delay has risen to over 1 hour and 30 minutes. Arrival at 00:25 empty airport. Thanks After the answer ... So, all of what happened, it is not your responsibility ;-) ;-) ;-)
Only food available in this excuse of an airport is meat sandwiches. Not even a hint of another option, absolutely appalled, as a vegetarian and as a customer who wanted to have breakfast before the flight, if I could give less than one star I would. Horrendous.
Hello, I would reply to his polite answer: if the traffic management is not under your control but hurts you in terms of usability of the structure, I think you should at least make your grievances. Believe me that the seven minutes established with the stress test are absolutely insufficient, as there are a whole series of variables that can increase the time necessary, especially for passenger pick-up operations. Moreover, the structure is quite large and it is easy to make mistakes, especially if the road conditions are not well known. Obviously those who carried out the stress test has not given the slightest. cordiality
badly organized waits infinite undersized airport and expensive car parks
The most beautiful airport ever seen. Congratulations!
Airport that seems to be overloaded and too small for the number of visitors.
As a huge fan of escape rooms I have to say this one is the most challenging I have ever visited; and it's over 40 in total. The simple story behind the room is never going to make you expect this unique experience! You are supposed to be a flight passenger trying to get to your flight on time. Easy, isn't it? NO!!! Because this is not your ordinary airport... You will have to be quick, observative, needs enormous communication skills in at least 3 languages and be sure to not try it in small groups. I believe at least 5 people are needed if you want to get through with it.
The scenery is very nice, looking almost like a real airport with lots of NPCs around who seem like being there to assist you, but never let yourself be fooled by them! Whoever if you try asking will not be the right one! They will keep sending you to another and then another until you realise you have to do this all by yourself. So try to avoid losing much time talking to them, it's all a very good set trap. There are also lots of boards with supposed clues you can get from, but every last one of them is another riddle for you to solve. If you manage to get through all the obstacles on time and get to the correct gate, which of course you have to figure out yourself, do not let yourself rest... The game is not over until you are sitting at your plane seat. There is not going to be any announcement for the time to board, no one will even call you if you are about to be late. There are no hint messages or boards. This is you against the clock. Put all your 5 senses to good use or you will never be able to make it. If you are bored with all the other similar to each other rooms you can find out there, this one is for you.
We never made it on time... I hope you will...
Good luck and have fun.
Using public transport from the airport was easy, staff were really helpful and we took the bus as we stayed on the mainland and travelled in.
A nice efficient airport with plenty of facilities and some interesting shops on the airside of the terminal. Things are a little pricey, but no more than any other international airport.
There is a smoking area inside the terminal for those that indulge, it does not affect the rest of the area at all as it is partitioned and independently ventilated.
We took a water taxi from the airport to Venice, he took a longer route to show us some of the sights. It cost a little more but was worth it as a way to see more of the outlying areas of Venice. We put out bags into a storage area for a few hours instead of carrying them about with us. It cost about 20 Euros, was secure and we got our bags back quickly when we returned.
Especially in this pandemic period, the spaces are large and allow you to have the necessary social distance while waiting for your flight.
Reasonably efficient covid-19 measures, decent cafe & shop, security ok, passport queue was long (took about 20 mins). Easy 20 min coach ride to Venice (8 Euros).
Nice airport, clean and well organized. Well connected to Venezia Mestre.
It is not a big terminal but you can find everything so quick... From there to Venice is quite fast... No more than 30 min
Arrive by plane here, the ground is nice for airplanes
I imagine it is still a few years until i go to hell, but i imagine its pretty much the same as my visit here...
Going through security on June 22, 2019, they asked me to take my Macbook Pro out of my carry-on bag. I gave it to them, they walked away and when they returned, they gave me someone's else's Macbook that looked exactly like mine. Ouch! Didn't discover it until I got home. PUT YOUR NAME ON THE EXTERIOR OF YOUR LAPTOP especially going through the Venice airport.
Very bad security concept regarding COVID-19. The airport building is warm and stuffy, one had the impression that the air conditioning was switched off due to the already low outside temperatures. Despite heavy traffic, only two security check areas were open, which resulted in very long waiting times and queues. It is stated everywhere that gatherings of people are to be avoided, but this was not possible there. Disinfectant was only available in front of the security check and only from pump dispensers.

Very poor security concept regarding COVID-19. The airport building is warm and there is no fresh air, one had the impression that the air conditioning was switched off due to the already low outside temperatures. Despite high occupancy, only two security control areas were open, which led to very long waiting times and queues. Although it is written everywhere that crowds of people are to be avoided, this was not possible especially in these areas. Disinfectant was only available before the security checkpoint and only from pump dispensers.
Small airport but well organized. It can be expected quietly and consists of enough services that you would expect. It also has good communications.
If you re boarding for an international flight, you might want to be prepared to feel like a sardine. The gates are very close together and there is limited space. Before we go on the plane, my husband and I stood squished between the crowds for a solid 20 minutes. No fun.
But the good news - the people working security are actually friendly. It s amazing. I wish I could find that state side.
Convenient and fast access to the airport with multiple parking options. Structure in continuous evolution and very welcoming.
Organized well, in my opinion very positive, fast and good
Nn there is bad .. Clean courteous .. Only. Bar prices a bit 'highways
The Marco Polo Airport is easy to reach from the motorway exit. Good organization.
Big and it seems small. Very slow security control system. It is recommended to go early. Aero prices very expensive !!!
Nice, cheap parking nearby, some cool little shop, small but with services
Incredible to feel being in Venezia
Go from air to water
Only LAX is worst. Chaos personified. So called 'officers' not paying attention. Not enough ground staff to organize passengers to queue properly. Maybe the renovations will improve things - I don't think so. Good luck.
Disgusted by the behaviour of two local women working for EasyJet, who victimised a nice polite lady for a bag when she had a much smaller than usual cabin bag as her main article. They were singularly unpleasant to us too, and this is all so very unpleasant and mean of Easyjet to allow such petty people such power to cause offence and upset. This was a return flight on the 4th May to Luton, and I see no reason at all for such people to behave like they did - all the passengers were talking about it afterwards as all of us were quite disgusted by this.
Very good. Good location. There is little trade, and food options. But it's alright. Clean and organized.
Clear and precise indication
Easy to locate
Beautiful & spotlessly clean. Lots of shops, lots of options, prices similar to the place. You will not find anything particularly useful.
Delayed inbound flight, delayed outbound flight. Who manages this airport? What a failure of service...
Unfortunately, the number of Italian travelers waiting to leave and not without a mask is quite embarrassing and there is no one to sanction or control. Of course, before entering the airport they do all the checks but once inside ...
Elegant and modern entrance door to the Serenissima.
Besides having to stand outside waiting for the arrival of a family member, it was almost deserted
There are simple direction for easy understanding how to go about. One problem is that if you don't understand Italian language is difficult to asked someone around for help.
Very nice and clean interior. Parking prices expensive
You can reach Venice through several doors, one of which is Marco Polo Airport, but you will not care if the airport is the best in the world or not, as you will want to arrive soon in the city, and if he has a disability, that will be surpassed, because nobody and nothing can be perfect, only Venice. So go to the city and find thousands of reasons to be in the most incredible city and full of history that you can be in the modern era. Venice will surely take you on a journey through time.
Modern airport, but everything is unorganised and overpriced! Security is quick but very unorganised. Very little seating in duty free, trouble finding a seat / table if you buy food because people waiting for their flights are sitting in the restaurant. Queuing to board your flight will have queuing in multiple crowded lines going through duty free, really unorganised...
Fast and constant scrolling, clear indications of the direction to take
Labyrinth.
unfortunately at the departures all closed before moving on to the gates. Not even a water and coffee dispenser. For such a new structure, more could be expected.
Marco Polo Airport people arriving and people waiting for boarding. cleaned and checked me and my ex propped on benches pending the ferry to Santorini we were able to rest tranquilli..davvero bell practical airport to visit a truly wonderful and unique city to mondo..a knowing it did send a text message to his fake former way without breaking from far accorded to our trip and was celebrating his B Day
One of the worse experience at any airport in the world so far. Delays after delays .. no announcements. Not enough seats at airport. Food was bad. Love this city of Venice but no matter what you do. Don t take any flight from here. Swimming may get you to your destination quicker. Always opt for rail when in Italy. Good luck
Nice and welcoming airport, I have always traveled there and have always been happy, fast service clean bathrooms and great service.
Left Italy through Marco Polo airport and it was pretty seamless. Came by water taxi from Venice, I believe the price was around 120 euro direct from the hotel. Easily to navigate around the airport and everything is well marked and adequate signage and in several languages. Lots of little shops and a few decent food options. The seats for waiting were pretty typical of most airports. The staff were generally polite and hospitable. Granted we left on October 25 when there was supposed to be a transportation strike but it didn't affect our flight even though several(most) others were cancelled.
