I had couple bad experiences before with Advia refinancing my car.. but this time my experience was totally different!
Alex Minor is really awesome! I got my car refinanced with 3.29% APR! She was very quick replying to my emails and she took care of getting my loan documents done ASAP!
Phone service bad customers service horrible . At first they called said I owed a payment when they never sent me a bill and if I did not pay immediately I would have late charge. A day later I was able to talk to a person they would wave the late fee and work with me.
Have been a member since they were first community and ever since the switch to Advia I have yet to experience any "advantage" as they claim. Their work ethics are horrible, employees are treated poorly (From what I hear) and their loan process is terrible. Was denied a small 2500 dollar loan with a cosigner that has an A+ credit score and a very low debt to income ratio (mine is a C and DTI I'd say is about average) and between me and the consigner we have a combined income over 100k annually. Try and figure that one out. Don't support this financial institution. I'm pulling everything and I'm gone. I'll never bank here again.
Advia is the absolute worst credit union ever I've been with them since 2013 !! I am moving ALL my direct deposits elsewhere. Their customer service is horrible ....
This is the only place where I send checks but somehow they never get there.....
Mary Cruz from Parchment branch is amazing to work with, anytime I need help with anything she's right on it, emailing works better for me and she understands that so every time I need something she submits it and get back to me really fast, I recommend working with Mary Cruz for anything!!
Customer service is WAY down.. they are only worried about getting your money and as much as they can...
Advia STOLE MONEY from my Acct by adding unjustified Overdraft fees that caused my Acct to go negative . They hit me for 5 Overfraft charges , only refunded 4 and after going back and forth with them on phone and thru email. They told me im lucky I got back the 4 and they wouldn't refund the 5th fee. I sent screenshots of my Acct to prove their fees caused me to go negative but they didn't CARE! I'm taking my money and my business elsewhere. I refuse to bank with a company that takes customers hard earned money by using these COURTESY FEES to STEAL MONEY FROM YOUR ACCT.
This place is a sham, wouldn't let me put my snowmobile in storage for insurance purposes so I paid off my load later to find out they are charging me since I never closed a so called savings account that I never even wanted or knew I had. So I try to close it and I have to get a letter notarized and do all this bs just to not have this account with them. Stay away they have the worst customer service ever. I was hung up on twice while trying to figure this whole thing out. Do not go here!
Got a call to just check and make sure everything was going good and said she could possibly save me some money on a different loan. We looked into it and we ended up moving a few loans to Advia and saves THOUSANDS of dollars! Amanda T. you are the best you seriously need a raise! her customer service was OUTSTANDING, couldn't have asked for a better experience. I work in customer service so it means a lot to me! I will be recommending people to work with her at Advia!!!!!! Thanks Again! (to her boss - she deserves a raise!!!)
Their phone system is HORRIBLE! When you call, all you get is a recorded voice and are never able to speak with anyone. They say, "you are number 64 in line and leave a call back number." They finally called back next day, but left no msg. (Was not able to get to phone in time) Happy my CU doesn't handle their business this way.

I'm very irritated with them! Six months ago they tried to charge us for more insurance through them, claiming that we didn't have sufficient coverage, which we did. It took several days, dozens of phone calls later, to get this straightened out. Now, we get the same dang letter again! Another time they're trying to charge us for more insurance! Grrr. I wish we could get our truck payments through a different company. I would never voluntarily chose this place.

It would be nice to see that the correct hours. They close the lobby at 5pm. The drive through stays open until 6pm. Fixed it for you guys.
Switched from Chase to Advia for my primary banking. Definitely like the member benefits, and that I'm not nickled and dimed over every little thing. Also thought the piggy bank account was an excellent opportunity to start saving for our infant son.
You have no fraud protection at this place. With them for 20 years and had a bad charge. I had to do all the leg work, filed a police report, and was advised I still can t get my money back. I have to deal with the store the fraud charge was made. Bet if I was someone important or had millions in their credit union I wouldn t had been treated like this.
I switched my auto loan to Advia. I have done my banking with them for years. In June I was diagnosed with cancer. I have not worked my second job since then. I have tried for 7 months to keep up payments the best I could. I have had 6 surgeries, chemo and radiation. I just found out I have to do 4 1/2 more months of chemo. In order to live and not lose my house, I had to let my car go back. I am one month behind on payments. Advia froze my account until it is auctioned. Last week they said if I could make a payment, they would unfreeze it. I made the payment, they unfroze it. Went to get some groceries today. It is frozen again Since it is the beginning of the year, I have not reached my medical deductibles, so my meds are expensive! Advia knows and froze my account. They are heartless. I hope they never have to go through what I am!
An update: Heidi from collections did call this morning. She had compassion and, I felt like she really listened to me. I am able to access my account. Which is a relief beyond what I can describe.
I haven't lived in michigan or even the midwest in over twenty years and i've had this account since i was sixteen. this is still my primary bank account. In the military i've banked with them overseas and back. From First community and now Advia they've solved every problem i've had.
P.S. i would like to see some other card design options.. other banks have different card options but we don't get to do anything...
They will not let anyone join their credit union if they have had a bankruptcy within a certain amount of years.

Great rates on my loans, but the website is absolutely horrible. I've had my loans since Jan and I couldn't figure out how to make a simple payment or what my due dates are online...and I'm a Marketing professional, that says a lot. I've had to call in to make them monthly. Today I spoke with a representative that was able to help me navigate the site. Please invest in a better web design company. It's really one of the most crucial things customers look for in a financial institution. I would not recommend this as a first financial institution for anyone, because it would confuse them too much. Unless it's your only option. Make online banking, simple and user friendly for everyone. I can't imagine someone not as tech savvy trying to navigate the website.
My husband passed and i tried to close his account. Even with a cretified death certificate they wouldnt allow me to. FIND ANOTHER BANK.
I have been a member of this bank in Parchment for almost 30 years. I used to believe in the ability of a small credit union to provide better service to it's members. However, I just spent the last 3 months working through a nightmare of a mortgage refinance, because they have contracted out their mortgage support to Mortgage Center who repeatedly failed to respond to emails and did not return phone calls for weeks at a time. As a result, I repeatedly lost opportunities to secure loan rates when they were at lows, which will cost me money for years to come.
Additionally, I have found that Advia has some of the lowest interest rates on Savings Accounts in the business.
As a result of both these issues, I will be closing all accounts and transferring my money to a financial institution that provides proper returns on savings and has the capacity to handle loans in a professional timely manner even during high demand periods.
Employees are very rude on phone! Terrible working with senior citizens on phone! Good luck if you verify yourself on phone and you are a senior and you give permission to talk to spouse who handles finances, they won t speak to them and say you have to go to branch which is no where near me! We have been hung up on twice!
I accidentally over drafted a few accounts, and it was my own mistake. Advia worked with me and was very understanding, and waved the fees saving me big bucks. You won't get that from a big bank! Love my credit union.
I have been a long-time member for 30 years no respect that . why did Adviacu online banking goes down on the day stimulus checks are deposited they rather build interest and let you starve
They constantly take out courtesy fees even when you have a positive balance. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE.

The customer service is TERRIBLE on the phone and online. The workers are nice but they constantly transfer you around and no one knows how to solve your issues. I ve had this happen with them multiple times. Online chats just end a if a sudden. Phone waits are long and then they just never come back on when your holding. Other than very basic problem solving , those who are answering the phones cannot solves complex issues with accounts and there is no way call into a branch or speak with a knowledgeable manager over the phone. Thinking of switching banks because of this. I m very busy and don t have time to always go into a branch.
tired of getting junk mail form the "partners". called to opt out and was told it could take up to 90 days for them to comply. Im sorry this is unacceptable, we live in a digital society and transactions are instant!
the fact that you shared my personal information without asking me is what truly bothers me. as a member of a Credit Union the members are technically the owners and you never asked if i wanted these services. I think you should reevaluate your stance on this matter!
I come to the sprinkle road location only. Today was unbearable. Never saw this location run so fricking slow. Border line incompetence. 30 minutes for a cash withdrawal with no one in the drive through was stupid.
