William at Tech Tutors provided a tutorial session for small businesses that are a part of our Downtown Business Improvement Area. William reviewed how to utilize Google Plus, Buffer, and other useful social media tips. He was very helpful, and was able to address the diverse needs of the group. Everyone certainly walked away with new tools and skills to use. A fantastic investment for our members.

Well i had the crew over at Tech Tutors help me tune up my Mac Desktop. After five years the old Mac was starting to slow up and needed a little refreshing. Trying to find a day to go without a computer is almost impossible as it is needed for business purposes but the TechTutor team did not disappoint. I was able to drop it off at 8am and get it picked up and ready to go at 4pm. I never missed a beat in the office and now the old Mac is running like new again. Having a local computer shop that understands Mac computers is amazing. I don't have time to take it to Ottawa and the other computer stores just want to tell you how much better they believe Windows computers are (they are not). So to the TechTutor Team, Thank You.

I used to be employed by TechTutors (we parted ways amicably) and wanted to write what I saw from inside the business.

When you work in a computer shop you have complete access to everything on that computer, I didn't see a single instance of an employee or the owner accessing any folders unnecessarily. There was always respect for the fact that this is someone's personal and private computer.

The owner always had us thinking of ways that we can serve the customer better, even if it took us longer; he wouldn't raise his prices because of this, he just wanted to offer the same product that he would offer to his mom.

We went to great lengths to make someone's computer last longer if it was on it's last legs but the client couldn't afford a replacement. I have seen hours of labour going un-billed for things like pulling a computer completely apart to repair a broken hinge on a laptop.

I only ever saw one person who felt like they needed to use the 100% money back guarantee. William stood by his word and was out a lot of money for both labour and parts but he wanted to make sure everyone has a positive experience even though the issue was a miscommunication. (This event is why they now inspect computers when they arrive and note the condition).

If I was ever going to be late for an appointment I was to call the client and let them know, William didn't want anyone wondering if we had forgotten them.

No products or services were ever sold to someone that they didn't need unless they specifically requested them, sometimes we talked ourselves out of sales to save the client money

William takes care of his employees as well as he takes care of his clients, he makes sure that everyone is cared for. He understands the importance of both physical and mental health and was willing to pay for us to go grab a coffee and do something like journaling or reading something that would help us be better when we left than when we started working for him.

We often times had young students stay with us for a while, William would assess their current skill level as well as their goals after working with us. At that point he would try to choose tasks for them that benefited the student most even if it did not benefit the company at all. Some of these students essentially were studying online from within our office so they could see how things work and ask questions. William could have had them cleaning the bathroom and such but he wanted the best for them.

I know how to fix my own computer but I recommend TechTutors regularly. They are great to their clients and employees. It was a pleasure to work there for well over three years as we journeyed from a shop in the owner's spare bedroom to the symbol of trust and competency that it is now.

Thanks to all of the wonderful clients as well, we often said that we have the best clients, the bad ones must go elsewhere because we rarely saw them ;)
