Very cool. The exhibits are very neat. I went for the Restaurant festival. Awesome all you can eat food and drinks for $45. Definitely got my money's worth. Dress for heat though. There were a lot of people and booths cooking, so the temperature was warm. Great time 5 star.

A great small format museum. The dinosaur exhibits are a kid favorite, and the staff is all friendly and knowledgeable. Older taxidermy exhibits are showing their wear and tear, and large swaths of the museum could use updating. Membership is reasonable though, and my child always asks to go back.

Expensive, the dino exhibit is nice but small, butterflies were fun. Bugs are huge anamatronics. I was disappointed I was expecting real bugs. Everything but the butterflies were stuffed or fake. :( not better for little kids. Not a good science museam. Gift shop was good. Cafe is nice but pricey.

It is good but very small. There are not so many things to see. The dinasor part was not as exciting. I might be a hard customer just because I live in NY and has been to Natural History of Science Museum many times. If you compare it is one quarter the size and the excitement. There were cool things like the dinasor lab ( archeology lab) and the butterfly garden. The lab was great since you can actually see the process and ask questions about it. I found the museum expensive compared to what you get. We finished the whole museum in about 2 hours.

Really nice, went on a Saturday morning not too busy because it was nice outside by myself. It s not a large museum but if you take your time you can turn it into a couple peaceful hours. Museum skews younger, lots of questions next to exhibits like what do you think the dinosaur ate and the Dino dig and top floor are definitely for little ones. Plenty of adult content too, enough to learn something but not enough to be oppressive and where you read more than you look. $26 well spent. All the staff are very friendly including gift shop and cafe, that was nice. Food was reasonably priced and fresh (enough). Worth going at least once if you ve never been.

Not only my kids and I enjoyed our time here so much, but we also learned a lot. We also learned so many kinds of spiders and tarantulas; history of many dinosaurs, etc.
Two hours for us was actually just not enough. We will definitely come again to the Academy of the Natural Sciences.

SAVE YOUR CASH. This is far too overpriced. I felt like we had been ripped off. It was sad because we only had a few days to sight see and I blew $70 on schlock.Dinosaur exhibit is very small. The rock "dig" should be a rock mine. It's solid stone. We paid extra to see a travelling exhibit, looked like it was put together a traveling 70's circus.

Drexel, you guys need to lower your admission prices because you're ripping people off. This price is well worth the money for the American Museum of Natural History in NYC but not here.

It's a really amazing place for kids to explore about science and animals.

It has live butterfly zone. And it will give you an idea about lot of animals from asia and Africa along with north America.

You can see animals like Bengal tiger, guerrillas, red pandas, many more.

Note: No live animals except butterflies...

Logan square parking is in front of the meuseum. Just 100ft walk to meuseum.

Parking costs you 10 usd in weekends.

Have fun!

We were lured in by the animatronic dinosaurs out front. The museum has a lot of interesting, kid-friendly displays and activities. My 5-year-old particularly enjoyed "digging" for fossils.

I thought it was surprising that it was so much but it's still worth it. Employees were very nice. Loved it! I didn't take that many pictures but only because I was so engrossed in reading everything!

This was a good time. I went without kids just to check it out and it is definitely not geared toward adults. It's quite interactive and they have a whole section where you can dig for "artifacts." The butterfly room was definitely the highlight!

We love this place and it's such a great place to bring curious young kids to enjoy themselves in a healthy and educational environment that can nourish their excitement for learning and education. It's great that it's so hands on because it makes them feel apart of it and they can learn from the experience much better than a book or picture. Also more affordable than other museums in the area by alot. Definitely 5 stars

Go with children if you re really looking for things to do and you ve exhausted the Franklin institute. Overpriced, and the mythical creatures exhibit was a joke. I was in disbelief the whole time I was there. Not worth the money if you re not bringing children so they can use the play areas.

We paid the extra $3 to see the butterflies, It was worth it. The butterflies were beautiful and we even had a few land on us. I had my grandma in the wheelchair and easily navigated our way through the museum. The exhibits were able to be enjoyed without my grandma getting in and out of the wheelchair. The kids, especially my 9 year old son, loved the exhib on the 3rd flood. He enjoyed petting the turtile and snake. The kids were learning and not even realizing it.

The Academy is always a family favorite. There is always something new to be learned. Member Night is a great time to see behind the scenes. So, if you are not a member, what are you waiting for?
