Had to find a new home for our ecommerce site when the performance and customer service of the current hosting company (call them HG) had gone so poorly over the past couple of years. Found a new host (call them 1&) to set up the new store using Prestashop. Mistake. Shared hosting has a lot of limitations and customer service quite poor.
Came to A2 and so far very happy. Not so much with the performance since we just signed up but for the customer service. We had a bit of a tricky setup and A2 was very helpful (on a Sunday even) and stuck with us until we got up and running.
You can always find cheaper hosting but really.... you get what you pay for.

I noticed a problem with email and my forum software. Spent some time trying to troubleshoot it and then came to my senses. Opened a ticket and I think I had an answer in under a minute. Literally. I just started with A2 a couple of months ago, and it's been a breath of fresh air. Lovin it!

A2 Hosting has been exactly as advertised! I was referred to them by a colleague and she was right - they have great options of service to choose from and they communicate really well also. Their website/instructions are laid out effectively. I haven't had any trouble so haven't needed to interact with them a lot, but that's a good thing.

I just setup a new account and had my domain transferred over. My email did not work afterwards but I did not know that I had to change the network records to point to the new host. They took care of it quickly and now it is all up and running perfectly.

I had 2 issues in my first 2 days as an A2 customer, simply due to my own inexperience. My first call, on day 1, was answered within 2 minutes and resolved within 5. The second call, on day 2, was about SSL and HTTPS set-up. Rather than wait on hold, I decided to use the call-back feature and left a message. A2 support returned my call about an hour later with answers ready. Also, as promised they immediately sent a follow-up email that had all the info I needed - links to 2 related articles and the plugin I needed to fix my site's security problem.

Occasionally I get really, really, really great support. And that's what I got from A2 today. Not only fast, but also they just fixed my ssl problem with someone else's software for me! No RTFM, no long, complicated instructions - they just did it. Superb.

Things work fine till they are fine, once the server is down, they never have a timeline to say when things will be back live. Chat executives gives you link for the information nothing more then that (Things are fine until you ask normal things).
My site is down from 24 hours and still they say "We are trying to solve the server issues and will be update you once it's done" "we will do it as soon as possible" lol what's as soon as possible....
Great support, very fast server speed and they're not owned by a big holding company. A2 is all about easy to use speed and service, and I feel very smart having found their hosting. It costs more, but you get more for it.
I was facing some problems related to the SPF record configuration of my 3rd party mail client and "Guru" department help me a lot to solve this.

I did some online research about service providers before selecting one. Existing reviews of A2 seemed positive and the price competitive, so I picked them. Everything has lived up to expectations in the roughly four months since and even though I've opted for the lowest level of support, when I recently had a technical question (to do with getting different results from a shell command when run from crontab as opposed to at the shell prompt) the responses to my questions were prompt and showed me how to resolve the problem.

This company refuses to cancel my account and continues to bill me for services not used after being specifically told for more than a month to close my account. They withdrew funds from my card several weeks AFTER they were told I'm not using their services anymore and to close the account. My bank account went into the negative and I was charged a fee by my bank. They still refuse to cancel my account and continue to send me invoices. I've contacted the Secretary of the State this company is located in. I did a search for their business name on the Michigan State website for licensed businesses/corporations. According to that site A2 Hosting does not exist. Yet they claim to be a corporation operating in Michigan. Ooops! Things are about to get very bad for A2 Hosting.

My first web host change and WordPress migration and all was complete in HOURS with the help of A2 tech support. The KB articles had me 99% there and then an email to support had it working in a very short period of time. No site downtime on top of all that. The performance of the site is MUCH faster than Bluehost was also. Great first impression.

I had one of the worse interactions I've had with a support team. "David H." comes across as rude and impatient. He could at least try to explain in a nicer tone, it is not the customer's fault if we don't understand the more technical terms.
