My little Toyota Aygo's clutch went. I rang A1 Clutches in Tipton at 8am. They arranged everything. My car was recovered and repaired on the same day. I was even offered the use of a free courtesy car whilst mine was was being repaired. Amazing service, amazing price. Will definitely recommend. I finally found a female friendly garage. Thanks to everyone at the branch.

Sent many complaints.. Car still judders. Keep asking to see the car but getting nowhere now. Will go elsewhere. So much for the 'warranty' lol.

I took my Mini to the Tipton branch to get my clutch replaced, they did it there and then and the job itself was perfect to.. I would recommend highly, great value for money and a 2 year warranty Great service,, Great communication,, Great price,, Would use again 100%

Used a1 several times as they usually come back with the cheapest "quote", to be fair the workmanship is fine but they always call and raise the price EVERY time. Reason for a bad reveiw after all these years is they completely buggered my van up, they had it back 3 times before i gave up and did the job myself. 2 year warranty is not worth the paper its printed on if you cant make it right guys

A1 clutches have repaired my car on 4 occasions and every time they have been competitive and delivered a first class service. Yesterday I called in at 8.0am on the off chance that my car could be looked at maybe the next day, or so however Rik fitted me in straight away and also gave me a courtesy car. They also kept me up to date throughout the process of the repair (new clutch, dual mass flywheel and slave cylinder). In my 20+ years of driving the service received from A1 Clutches is the best I have ever experienced. Well done to Rik and everyone else at A1 clutches, may you go from strength to strength you deserve it!!!!!

I Recently had a clutch done at A1 Clutches Tipton, and I have to say I am massively impressed with the time scale the job was completed in but not only that how polite and friendly the staff are. I have absolutely zero complaints, even asked me to come back for 4 checks to ensure everything is ok with the vehicle and to keep the warranty. Will definitely be back for my other vehicles. Fantastic service guys, keep it up.

Absolutely appalling service! !!! They say they r fitting new clutches when really they are recon clutches. I had a clutch fitted in my rover and when I picked it up it sounded terrible. They took it back in and turns out they hadn't bothered to put oil in the gear box. Ten thousand miles later and the clutch has gone again, really bad juddering and the clutch is right at the end of its travel. Took it back and smart ***e rick said it had been adjusted but when I drove it it was the same. Now a 1 don't want to know. They only want your cash then fob u off with their stupid warranty, two years warranty ain't worth nothing. How do u think they can do a clutch cheaper then anywhere else? They use trainee mechanics and fit recon not new clutches. They are a joke. Spend a little extra and get a proper warranty. Don't pay for the range rovers they all drive which are parked outside. I deeply regret ignoring the reviews and going to them. U have been warned. Yes a 1 clutches, you ruined my rover, reg bj.

Aweful company. Completely ripped me off. Read other 1 star reviews. Definitely have had "work" done with them. You can see this copy paste response below trying to bully people off on other negative comments. This one is staying here. Go elsewhere These people are horrific

Biggest rip off merchants in the trade.. Avoid at all costs.. they put just a clutch plate in my last car... but charged for complete efin clutch

Had my clutch and flywheel done with these guys and I have to say A* professional service. Spoke to Cat originally and I explained I wasn't well (I have a disability) so could they collect the vehicle. They collected within in the hour and called me first thing the following day to say it was done. Kelly sorted my paperwork out and was really professional and both Rik and Cat popped out to reception to see how I was doing. Absolutely amazing service and will never go anywhere else again.

I have been told they will call me and give me the quote It s been three weeks haven t heard anything

BAD BAD BAD i took my veichle in once and price was quoted differently after got called up added an extra 700 pound! Then spoke very rude and despite spending over a thousand pound on a clutch the car was still no good! Took back 3 times and even had broken down on the road! Avoid

Great price! The team discussed with me the issues with my car every step of the way and were very honest about everything. There was no pressure from them. Thanks to them they kept us mobile with the use of their courtesy car!!

Rude and abrupt guy called Rick on the phone , trying to belittle me with smart arse comebacks,....should have gone to see them face to face, I'm sure he'd be different then! Go somewhere else and give them your money .

Hippy at heart, crazy by nature i am. When I broke down in Tipton, miles from home and not really knowing the area, I googled for clutch repair and by fates chance i came across A1 Clutches. I spoke to a gentlemen on the phone that put me at ease. I dropped the car off a few minutes later (turns out I was less than 5 minutes away) While at A1 Clutches I was on the phone to work, worried about getting there, when the manager of A1 Clutches offered me a courtesy car, FREE OF CHARGE! So I took him up on that offer and off I went to work. 4 hours later I got a phone call from A1 Clutches and thought 'oh god its worst than the clutch' but nope, ALL DONE. I can not beileve what an excellent service this place offers. Must of been fate that lead me there that day because I wouldn't of gotten this service elsewhere.

Stay away just for asking how long it take to look at my car the manager pops his head though the door and throws the keys back at me thats them lost money i will go somewhere else

From the first phone call to paying the bill everything was spot on. No hidden costs, total clarity. Nice environment to wait while car was being finished. Definitely would recommend they go out off the way for you. Thank you Amrik and Kelly

Had these take my car for mot today somewhere i didnt know it was going! I saw the car with my own eyes with 2 people in being drove somewhere not by the mot test place. Come to clean my car after mot and there is a scratch on the bonnet. Own wont deal with it saying im lieing about seeing 2 people in my car and my car wasnt where i saw it! Owner is rude and had ago at me because i got abit loud with him because he wouldnt listen to me speak and said i was lieing Everyone stay away this place is a joke

I got several quotes for a new clutch and was very pleased that I found A1 clutches at Tipton. Not only were they the cheapest by far but they did the job on the same day and provided me with a curtesy car while they did the work, something I really didn't expect and thought was absolutely great. I recommend this company highly for the work they did, the price and customer service and can't imagine why anyone would go anywhere else. 5 Stars from me. Thanks A1.

Great service cant do enough for you whether its supplying you with a courtesy car overnite or just giving you a cuppa while you wait.

The clutch pedal kept dropping to the floor and it was hard to get into gear on my girlfriends VW Golf. I spoke to the local VW dealership and the cost was a fortune and wasn't sure when they could get me in. I came a across A1 Clutches on google, they were polite and explained what the possible cause and approximate cost would be. I dropped my car off in the morning and I had the use of a courtesy car. At four O' clock the garage was calling me to say my car was ready for collection. The car drives like new. I can really recommend A1 clutches to anyone for a fantastic service and cheap price too. well-done to Rick and his team.

Great service had my clutch done in a day, had a slight problem after with my starter motor, took it back, got seen straight away and sorted within half hour even though they were really busy, nothing was of any hassle to them. Great staff and Kelly is lovely. Thanks guys

Had my car for a job came back scratched ripped me off also made out I was lieing when I wasn't wont take no responsibility terrible

AVOID!!! Used them years back , charged me for a full kit replacement for an hydrolic clutch on a Toyota Celica. Cheapest in town, as soon as it came out the place it was shaking every time you changed gear. Took it back and he said its fine there no it was'nt PATEL ur full of S**t , on top of that there was an oil print on my passenger seat after it came out the workshop the second time. I was in the passenger seat when he test drove it before it went in. I dont know why it was there but it was!! Long story short the clutch went on the motorway weeks later blow out of place , called the AA out they looked at it and said it was'nt completely changed. A1's response was i was raceing for it to go, yeah right. They sorted in the end and changed it. Lucky for you thats all i can say aha!! They will be ok to use on straight forwad clutch , cheap aint always the best option. Quick to take your money but wont sort issue's out. People make mistakes own up , apologies, deal with it and move on. As per dealing with a certain type, rip u off. SEE OTHER BAD REVIEWS ON HERE, DO YOU REALLY WANT TO CHANCE IT!!

Had a clutch put on my car rang them back as once we got home I used the reverse gear to park up and it was very juddery which it wasn't before so as I say rang them back to get an answer for why the reverse gear was behaving like it is and More

Recently had new clutch fitted here. Kelly was amazing very helpful and knowledgeable. The clutch was replaced within a few hours. And very good price. Would definitely recommend.

Avoid this garage. Their shoddy work caused my van to completely break down 2 weeks later. As another garage found out that the issues I had were due to A1 clutches leaving debris, A1 have refused to take responsibility because I took it to another garage. The other garage also completely replaced the clutch A1 put in. Read the other bad reviews.

This garage is just aweful. Completely screwed up the repair they did and now they refuse to take responsibility.

UNTRUSTWORTHY SCAMMERS THAT WILL ROB YOU. I bought a car off a customer who A1 clutches tried to scam. Went to collect the car from the Tipton branch, was told that the gearbox was taken off and in the boot of the vehicle. The staff reconnected the battery, took the customers belongings out of the boot and then removed the battery so I didn't have access to the boot. I asked if the gearbox was in the boot and they said it was. After getting the car trailered 80 miles to my local garage, I connected the battery to discover there was no gearbox . Rang the clutch centre and spoke to Kelly who had released the car. She said the gearbox had been left behind. After a lengthy discussion, she finally agreed to have the gearbox dropped off at the Derby branch which is 40 miles away from me. Waited 2 days and heard nothing, rang Kelly back and she denied any knowledge of saying the gearbox was going to be couriered to Derby. I ended up driving another 80 plus miles from Sheffield to Tipton to pick up the gearbox. This place is a scam, the staff are rude, and untrustworthy. Avoid it you have any sense

Friendly team, no time wasting. Fitted clutch, however, needed to return due to breather problems which began to spill oil. Dropped car off before 8am and they even delivered my car home for me due to work commitments . All round pleasant experience

Used the tipton branch on a few occasions, this time needed the clutch replacement on short notice. 1 call and it was no issue for them straight in and back on the road absolutely great team nothing nothing is ever a problem for them. Recommed A1 clutches to anyone believe me you will be looked after. Thank you again

I have used A1 Clutches 3 times now and i must say they are totally professional in the way they do business and i have never had any problems so they get an A1 from me

I rang up today for a quote to replace clutch and flywheel in the usual civil manner and was talking to a female who answered the phone. I gave my name and she would not give hers. I gave the details for a quote and she, whoever it was, said would call back later this afternoon with a quote. I thanked her. As obtaining quotes from A1 Clutches in Cannock and other garages I was on the phone and missed a call. I called back straightaway so about 20 mins from missed call. I said had a missed call from a young lady, but did not have name to ask for. I appreciated the male answering as Rick giving his name and gave my own. He thought I was being rude in not knowing the name of the female who refused to give me her name! He said I could take my car elsewhere-I said called back as a matter of courtesy and no intention of doing so as their reviews for bad manners are now proven accurate and that A1 Clutches in Cannock were caring, engaging and gave openly gave their names without asking. As a legal/consumer expert for many years I reprimanded Rick for a person who hides their name does so for no good customer care reason. Things going wrong happens to many, but a business not being big enough to own it and to apologise is the sign of very immature behaviour and not being consistent in giving good service. My hard won money is not given for the disrespect of others-it is certainly my indication from 2 people at A1 Clutches Tipton that the company is not well served by them and should be a training and if not dealt with then a dismissal issue.
