If you are considering getting an insurance for your business beware of this company. I got my commercial insurance from this company. First they never explained to me in details what coverage i was getting. Each time i asked they would never clarify i had no choice but to get insurance from them i was refered to them by the agent who sold me the business and i had to have a insurance policy in place to get the loan from the bank. Each time you call the office they never return your call back. I called the owner of the company that this is going on and instead of correcting the problem she made me feel like it was our fault. I asked them to please send me the proposal for the new policy never heard back from them. They told me they emailed to us . i checked my emails and until i got on top of them they would never do anything. I tried to get a quote from another company to get the workers comp coverage and they requested a loss run sheet. i called krystal kholer the lady handling our case. and she told me it takes 30 days to get it. I called the hartford company directly and they sent me the report within 5 min. I asked them if agent request this information how long does it take and they told me it takes 2 min to get it to them. As you can see if you do insurance with them you are just a number to them. Every agent can write insurance from the carrier there is no special privaleges provided to one agent to another. I would think twice before working with this company. i am a fair person and never wrote negative on anyone. I even gave them 3-4 chances to correct the problem. but they never did. My workers comp last year was $1800 and suddenly went up to $12,000 and i contacted the company why it went up so much and they had us on the wrong category. and this agent who is doing this business for 30+ years as they claim did not fight to get that corrected. I wanted to warn everyone before you work with this company and get stuck in the policy like us. thank you.
Sold me on the fact they could save me a ton of money, they waited until after the last minute to quote me (it was too late to get it quoted by anyone else) which caused my insurance to lapse and the government to suspend my operating authority which has shut my company down for almost a month. Then come to find out to save me all the money it was by only selling me a quarter of my old agent and only saving me a few thousand dollars. Also now that I have the same amount of insurance it is way more expensive.
Steer clear, they will promise the world and once you are bound they will ignore you.
We have been with Hibbs Hallmark for 5 years now and would never use anyone else. Everyone there has our best interest as a customer at heart. They ALWAYS respond immediately no matter the issue. We have been through a lot the last couple of years and Hibbs Hallmark team has been right there with us, supporting, encouraging, fighting for us and working beside us to make sure we were taken care of.
