I bought a car off a customer who A1 clutches tried to scam. Went to collect the car from the Tipton branch, was told that the gearbox was taken off and in the boot of the vehicle. The staff reconnected the battery, took the customers belongings out of the boot and then removed the battery so I didn't have access to the boot. I asked if the gearbox was in the boot and they said it was.
After getting the car trailered 80 miles to my local garage, I connected the battery to discover there was no gearbox .
Rang the clutch centre and spoke to Kelly who had released the car. She said the gearbox had been left behind. After a lengthy discussion, she finally agreed to have the gearbox dropped off at the Derby branch which is 40 miles away from me. Waited 2 days and heard nothing, rang Kelly back and she denied any knowledge of saying the gearbox was going to be couriered to Derby.
I ended up driving another 80 plus miles from Sheffield to Tipton to pick up the gearbox.
This place is a scam, the staff are rude, and untrustworthy. Avoid it you have any sense
