A1 Clutches Review

Fair priced. Warranty given. Quick turn arounds. Cannot argue about staff. Seem to have a clue including reception.

Will say that I was advised I needed a new starter motor for my van (when they were working on the clutch) considering two months old. Possibly lack of communication between mechanics and staff.

Either way a smooth experience

Your reply and threats do not scare me and infact again are a reflection of your behaviour and complete disregard towards a genuine honest customer who interacted with you.

So let's begin with replying to your comments regarding why I contacted you. The vehicle in question was sold by you to the trader who I wished to buy it from. They advised me of the work and also advised that NO paperwork was available, I am not sure why you completed work but failed to provide any paperwork. I therfore was asked (written evidence available) to give you a call to confirm. That's when you failed to even speak to me with a little respect. I beleive the public and those that have interacted with you would agree your attutude stinks.

I guess the real main reason I am so shocked is because you want my review REMOVED, but don't have the decency to apologise. I have been contacted by the trader who advised me that you have put pressure on him to have my review removed. The most shocking part here is the clear breach of GDPR. You gave my contact number without consent (recorded telephone conversation available) to the traders who I was looking to purchase the vehicle from and I have had numerous calls and messages from them. I have seeked legal advise and will be filing this with the public information office to investigate. I will proceed to update this review as matters progress!

In the process of purchasing a new vehicle and called this garage to confirm some previous work that was carried out. Must say the receptionist was lovely took my enquiry and said someone will call me back. Had a call from a guy who asked what i wanted to know. I must say he came across extremely rude in the way he was speaking and rather than show respect and a high level of professionalism he was completely unprofessional. His ability to hold a polite conversation was pretty shocking. I would never look back twice at this garage. I asked what date the work was carried out and he refused to tell me what date the work was completed on the vehicle referencing data protection. I kindly advised him that there is no legislation protecting the date and his attitude at this point just got worse, i ended the call and would never be back in touch with them. Very difficult ti communicate with these guys and as someone who works in marketing I will ensure that I tell this story far and wide and make sure nobody gives them any business. Theres plenty of places that can offer you the work you need and the levek of service thats expected!!!!!!!!!

Had my clutch fitted from them just over a year ago was very impressed by the quick service. One year later clutch started giving me problems. Rang them and they asked to bring it to check. Anyways without checking the clutch told me ur rear brake is still sticking that might be the smell from my car. I took my car to a garage and told them need to fix the rear brakes they checked it for like good 10 minutes and said they r perfectly ok also asked me who told me my brakes were faulty and sticking. Told them the situation and they started laughing saying is it still under warranty I said yes and they told me forget about it they wont change it until ur clutch is completely gone and ur stuck in the middle. Went to other garage and got told the exact same thing. So i would say plz dont waste ur hard earned money. They may look very fair and professional but ull be kicking urself in the end.

Excellent service and after service, staff are helpful and professional. Front of house secretary extremely helpful and polite.

Never use bunch of cowboys
they proper messed up my cluctch causing new slave cyclinder to leak and saying it was my sump leaking.
I wouldn't have none of it but they refused to investigate
it was only when the clutch slipped they took a look and and amazingly the leak has stopped but they never mentioned anything about it not even an apology
your better off going to a little independent garage avoid like the plague

5 STAR ***** ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC SERVICE, HAD A FAULT WITH MY CAR AND THEY RECTIFIED IT WITHOUT HESITATION. I CANT FAULT THERE SERVICE AND EXPERTISE, KELLY AND GARY ARE SUCH LOVELY PEOPLE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I JUST WISH THEY WERE CLOSER AS I'M IN THE CAR TRADE AND I WOULD USE THEM AS MY NUMBER ONE CLUTCH SUPPLIER. THEY OFFERED ME A COURTESY CAR AND IN NO TIME MY CAR WAS READY. I have used there services several times over a period of few years. The service provided every time is excellent and very knowledgeable. I was there a few days ago and even though they were really busy the owner still managed to fit me in. Friendly and polite atmosphere. Extremely happy with the work that was done and the timely manner in which it was done. Would definitely recommend them. You know you are getting a good and thorough job done.

well had my clutch done 12 months ago they left a pipe off my air box
and my car started to smoke , i was sitting in reception the delivery guy was
bringing in plain grey boxes they looked like recon clutch plates to me im not sure , a guy came in and the rude women was clearly pulling the poor guys pants down and charging him for extra stuff, its also a bit shady in recieption because theres no viewing area so you cant what they are doing to your car, they also put stuff on the invoice like noisy gearbox to make you
feel like you need a new gearbox

Paid top price for slave cylinder but it leaked took it back all the staff need to take a course on customer relationship no one interested shoddy workmanship old never use their again

An absolutely great service.

I broke down in Wolverhampton with a snapped clutch cable. I was stranded and panicking as I needed the car before my holiday. I walked to a few garages near to where the car was. None were helpful. I searched online whilst sitting in my car and I found a1 Clutch Centre Tipton about a mile from me. I called and spoke to Rick. I nursed the car to the Centre. The guys were honest, polite and very accommodating. I left the car there with a quote for the works at a very competitive price. They fixed my car and it came in cheaper than the quote and was completed in few hours on the same day Rick and Kelly helped me out and gave me a great service. I love it. I recommend these guys 10 out of 10. I don't normally write reviews but a1 clutches are really done me an honest top job. Thank you very much all the a1 clutch team.

Booked my Audi in for a clutch dropped it off 8.00 am back on the road for 1.30pm service second to none can't thank you guys enough price service time was all bang on highly recommended thanks again :)

I was getting a funny noise coming from the front of my car and came to A1 Clutches, it was a good decision as the staff were very professional, polite and informative.

They completed a thorough check of my car and quickly diagnosed the problem.

I got good value for my money and good and practical advice.

Wow these guy saved me packet I was thinking gear box he advised clutch after a 5 min phone call the best free advice I have been given when I asked to ship he told me were you go to get parts locally to save money 100% recommend these guys

A1 clutches booked my Golf in fast & got the clutch done, washed my vehicle in the time scale given. The price was affordable too! I would defiantly recommend them.

Wouldn't recommend and ever go back to this place, without going through the whole story tried to claim under warranty for a clutch problem after 6 months and they were having none of it saying it wasn't the clutch yet during a warranty adjustment 2 months later the problem was fixed, proving my symptoms was a clutch problem... lasted a few days until the clutch started playing up again, cant be bothered to speak with them as they dont want to know...... i will never go back and would much rather of paid a little bit more for a decent clutch. The manager is extremely rude and arrogant and didnt want to help at all, in the end i walked out, lesson learned, you get what you pay for!

Had a clutch fitted to our golf and all I can say is first class service.
The ladies in the office were very knowledgeable, offered the option to not have a DMF clutch fitted, but to supply my own SMF instead.
While waiting for the car my wife was asked if she was okay several times and provided with plenty of drinks.

Stay well away from A1 Clutches :Tipton Centre ran by Mr Amrit Singh !Fortunately for him Google doesn t offer a minus ratings system.

I change my clutch on a ford focus 2007, they finish it in one day.
