This boxing gym has something for everyone. I've been coming here since 2012 when it was on Alameda/Buckley. The hardest part is leaving the house. Trainers are great because they push you hard physically. Chris, Rolando, and Chino have some serious routines.

Classes are usually about 60% cardio and core conditioning, and 40% boxing technique. For that want to go pro there are options at A1, and those that just wanna come in and have a killer workout then this is the place. If you're trying to lose weight, then all you got to do is come here at least 2-3 times per week to see results.

I like the new mirrors, stuff is always put away. Sometimes there's something that got missed mopping. It's a clean gym by any gym standard.

A1 Boxing is great. Carlos Rodriguez is a great coach.
He has really improved my son's abilities in the ring. He is very good at multitasking with all his students.
Gives his all to all his students. I recommend A1 boxing to anyone looking to get into boxing or if you just want to get into shape.

Very poor experience. Coaches and trainers do not stick to a schedule and often come late or not at all to classes.
Signed up for a 6 month membership but continued to be billed for months afterward. When I tried to call and cancel payments they said the couldn't do it over the phone and then didn't show up when I made an appointment to do it in person.
Now they're trying to turn me over to collections for not paying monthly dues 3 months after my membership expired.
Don't answer the phone either, of course.

Mathew Anderson is obviously the racist. A1 is a great friendly place to be. My family and I have NEVER felt discouraged what so ever at A1. It's a small family business atmosphere for people of all races and colors. There are numerous white male and FEMALE customers all in which are looking to have a good time to me. Mr. Anderson is obviously uncomfortable with him self. Aurora Colorado isn't the place for him. It's a divers and multi cultural city. And A1 is a prime example where Americans of all shapes and sizes come together. Oh and I lost 80pounds at A1. Come in and Check it out! Glen Goodson and his staff are great people. :)

Great gym for all ages and abilities! We introduced our 16 yr old son to boxing a few months ago, and the coaching staff here has helped him 1) get in great shape, 2) build confidence that he was lacking, 3) steer away from his poor peer choices (because they teach proper behavior in life at A1 Boxing!! 4) stay focused in school - a C average or better is what we require of our son to have this privilege. For $75/mo, he gets two evenings per week (for slightly more, he could do M-F, but we chose this limit because we are still his taxi!)
Glen the owner is super friendly and accommodating, and will head you in the right direction! The coaching staff is supportive and invested in each athlete - regardless of experience or skill-level. This is a gritty, real life boxing gym. If you want focused coaching, come here!! If you want bells and whistles and pretty art on the walls, go to a big-box gym. I would highly recommend A1 Boxing to anyone serious about boxing and training like a champ!!

The trainers and coaches are not really for your benifit and you have no voice when it comes to sticking up gor yourself at anytime about anything owner gets highly disrespectful when you try and stick up for your self they continuously put you off and show favortisem and they all have sum idea on who they think is gonna make it and its wrong to have the whole gym under the table berating you or putting you all the way down and getting mad when u say somethin and kicking u out..................................HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED......they lie about your fights and leave you disappointed asking why u did anywork at all ....... The owner will not speak to hear your words or feelings he will speak to u just to keep you coming back in and giving his gym the looks but as soon as he views look diffrent he will snap like a dog and get mad aggressive tones And tell u about how he aint gonna hear it and dont wanna hear it

I think I will give it 2.5 stars because the trainers are great!!! But it's the surroundings, tons of people standing around watching you while you workout #annoying. It's a bit ghetto on the days my child attend. Parents and friends stand around like it's the club. I would return if they get rid of that.

Responding to your response. There's no reason why people should just stand around watching people train, that will make anyone uncomfortable.

This place is almost always dirty. Basic amenities like TLP can be hard to come by. Dried blood in the boxing ring. Complaining to the owner is useless, he smiles at you and tells you he will fix it but generally doesn't care. I have had instances when I've taken the time to go to the gym and the place would be closed with no note or explination as to why. Some of the instructors are just students the owner has asked to teach.

Trained here in the past before being forced to switch gyms. I must say that the environment is for fighters, not your average oh let's just chill and drink tea type gyms like Title Boxing. Fair prices but it made up with the wonderful equipment and good trainers. I will recommend this gym for any boxer/mma fighter who lives nearby.

I've trained here a few times in the past and have really enjoyed my workouts! I have been referring people to this gym for over 5 years now and have not had a single complaint. Glen and the staff are top notch professionals and have helped several of my friends transform their lives.

I ve been going to A1 Boxing for over 10 yrs. I know for a fact they the have won the team trophy 4 out of the past 6yrs. The trainers are all excellent as they also train professional fighters and they are all contenders. There is not a better boxing gym in the state!

When I started here a little over a year ago the trainers told me that I'd be in the best shape of my life and so far that's true! I feel amazing and my stamina is awesome! Other than the physical benefits the people here are so nice and it's a great social outlet to connect with new friends too. The coaches are all seasoned pros and the owner is a super nice guy. Check it out- they have boxing, kickboxing, weights, kids classes and now cycling!

If you look up Kevin Qujado's past reviews you'll see that he's a Trump and Kkk supporter- all the earmarks of a complete dingus and waste of life. All reviews by this pile of garbage in a human skin suit should come with this disclaimer. Anyway, A-1 is a pretty good gym, if you don't like class settings or are looking to compete and want more one-on-one training they have that available- you just need to talk to Glenn (the owner) how and when to set that up. My advice on your need for a speed bag- buy one (they're not that expensive) at Dick's or off of amazon, and bring it to the gym. Just attach it to the platform and let 'er rip. When you're done, detach it and take it home. I've never had a problem here other than the ring surface - it has some uneven spots that either need fixing or a complete replacement (which, I got it, ain't cheap). Good place, great owner.
