The server messed up my order and then took the dish away and left it on the bill until I said something. Overall the ambiance was nice.

Steak overcooked, lousy value, small portions. Desserts were best part of the meal

I found the owner to be rude!! I called Citron to see about making reservations for brunch because last year my boyfriend brought me here for brunch/breakfast. I ve been here at least two other times prior for dinner. So when my best girlfriend came to town, I thought about Citron. I called and got Mr. Levine the owner. I asked about making a reservation for brunch. He said we open at 4pm and we don t serve breakfast brunch. I said oh ok so you don t serve it anymore and I told him about when I came there last year for brunch. I don t know if that triggered something because he didn t answer the question. Instead he mumbled something about having a big party that he needed to get back to and hung up the phone. I was shocked and thinking what did I say wrong!! I was simply asking a general question many would ask because I even remember what I ordered there and I was trying to make reservations for a party of 9!! It was no need to be rude and literally tell me basically because you have a large party of people there then that s more important. You don t treat potential customers that way! For that, I will never return to this establishment. I ve heard negative things before and now I see because the way he answered the phone was extremely rude for an owner!!

My husband took me to Citron for my birthday. It was outstanding! The service, food and ambiance was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Awesome evening, exceptional service, awesome food, awesome atmosphere, awesome friends. Mr. Charles exceeded expectations with his genuine ownership and the carrot cake!!!

Beautiful, great service and music! Food is outstanding.

This is one of the more upscale restaurants in the area. They do have outdoor seating in warm weather with views of the lake. The menu is good, with some unique takes on traditional dishes and other more standard items for the less adventurous. The staff are very friendly and have some pretty impressive attention to detail. They also do a brunch here and there's ample parking a short walk away, or you can use their valet and have them park you car for you instead of walking the 50 yards.

My daughter and I enjoyed fine dining outside on the patio Friday evening. This was our first time dining at Citron. We were greeted by the most amazing staff and the owner made us feel like he knew us for years. He and his staff displayed excellent customer service and we felt very comfortable with the way they handled disinfecting the tables between patrons. Also each staff member wore masks and gloves and there was hand sanitizer on each table. The overall service we received was extraordinary. Kudos to our waiter Jervante' (not sure if I'm spelling his name correctly). The food was amazing. We ordered the lamb chops and sea bass. We are already making plans to come back for live music starting Thursday.

I just hosted a surprise anniversary party for my sister and brother in law there memorial day weekend and the owner was amazing at making it all come together! Collin was our personal waiter for the evening and he was the icing on the cake! The views were gorgeous and the food was to die for! My sister and brother in law loved it! Thanks for making their day so special!

The service was "awful" and the food "tasted like solid soy sauce and vinegar". There weren't even any roller coasters in this amusement park, Would "never" go again...

The restaurant was beautiful.. the food was excellent... expensive but I don't mind paying for food as long as it's good and this was exceptional. My only negative comment is... it was a special anniversary for us (which they noted)... and they could of provided a complimentary dessert. Other then that... we loved it and would return.

This restaurant interior is beautiful and the lake is a wonderful back drop but the food and service were not a the same level. The service was spastic to say the least, and there was a huge laps between table visits. The GM (an older man in a blazer) seemed to always be running around like a mad man it was quite distracting. The bar took forever with drinks, three of four entree's were served and clearly they forgot to fire the fourth (pasta) with the rest of the ticket. The biggest disappointment was that , we had a birthday reservation and no one said "happy birthday" even though we added that note to our reservation when it was made. The $14 piece of cake was ok but nothing a good home cook could not have made, it was on a ill fitted plate and did not even have a sauce. Perhaps it was an off night not sure but we are likely to not return.

Amazing place to eat It surpasses some of the best NYC restaurant's. The owner is extremely nice guy and very accommodating. They hand craft the food, it's an experience not just a dinner. I think Michelin should give it 5 stars.

Always 5 star. I LOVE coming to Citron. Everyone is very nice, especially the owner. The atmosphere is wonderful. The views are amazing. The food is superb. The drinks are smooth. The music is great. This place is a MUST VISIT!!

This restaurant is amazing. Great ambiance, great food and the owner is very personable. Our server was the best.

Charles and the rest of the staff at Citron are nothing but class. They are there to help you navigate a fantastic dining experience, sure, but they also legitimately are interested in you and your story. Every time I've eaten at Citron, Charles has made it a point to take a break from his duties to ask me how work, the house, etc. are, and I can tell he cares. It's not a front. If he puts that much effort into a conversation with a patron, you better believe he puts his heart and soul into the dishes offered at Citron. In short, 11/10 would eat there again.

Our first time at Citron last night, and what a great meal. This is not the kind of restaurant I can generally afford, but we had a generous gift card.
Apparently, there was a Valentine's Prix Fixe menu, it was not mentioned to us or offered.
Our server was attentive, tho seemed a little slow (several tables turned while we were still there), no big deal tho. The food was spectacularly delish, but pricey (in my world) for the size. The only area lacking, a little, was the atmosphere (for me) it was very loud in the main dining room. The decor was lovely but the chairs were heavy and awkward, and hard to move on the carpet.
I had the mussels and they were huge and very flavorful.. so delicious. My main was the scallops, there were only 4, I could have eaten 4 more! They were so tasty. The sundae for desert was huge and so decadent.
We hope to come back someday!

We recently celebrated my husbands promotion at Citron. It was an amazing night. View was spectacular and the atmosphere was intimate but lively. Henri provided excellent service and gave recommendations on dishes and drinks. There was a diverse crowd and everyone was attentive. We had a party of 5, so gratuity was added ( as expected). It was a cooler night, so we did not sit outside, but the view was still spectacular.
Thank you for helping us celebrate this special day. We will be back !

Citron is one of my favorite restaurants today. Not only is the food incredible, but the space and location is also very nice. Overall, I highly recommend.

Went to a wedding. Beautiful views. Staff was great. Food (crab cakes) out of this world!!

I could not decide what was more impressive between the dining room and the lake front seating. Food was excellent. Service was 5 star.

We went here for our 2 year anniversary the food was excellent and the service was amazing. This is definitely a one and a kind experience. We even met the owner and he is wonderful and his restaurant just speaks very highly of him. We felt so relaxed it was like being on vacation but it was nearby. At the end of the night I can go home and just feel very very at ease which is something I haven't felt in a long time.

The food is overpriced but bland and boring. The fish choice is very limited. Except for swordfish and the chilean see bass, which is lovely, but severely over-fished, there is only (farm raised) salmon to choose from. The safety choice - the chicken, was dry yet greasy, and the accompanied veggies burned. Only the potatoes were ok.

Such a great place to go to for date night. Lovely view of the lake and wild life. Food was outstanding. Over priced but WORTH IT.

Downtown dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The feel and price of our dinner is comparable to fine dining in the city but with less stress of traffic and parking. We celebrated a birthday and were treated as special guests. Our server, Jeffery (sp?) Was superb. He made good recommendations and paced our leisurely evening perfectly. Drinks, appetizers, meal and dessert were all done well. Our drinks and appetizer were the highlights-Grapefruit margarita, perfect manhattan and quail and foie grass. Another nice touch was passover matza substitute for dinner rolls with their exquisite Hawaiian salted butter and goat cheese spread. I would recommend this place for dinner or just drinks and desserts

Wonderful dining in a spectacular setting. The food is great, just what Baltimore has been waiting for. Will definitely come back.

Just attended 40th Birthday Celebration at Citron 9/27/20. Food and Service was excellent. Would definitely come back for a drink and dinner.

Terrible service. Had to send a hamburger back...well overcooked. Waiter had an attitude.

Just had an incredibly delicious dinner at Citron! And the setting was absolutely gorgeous... sunset over quarry lake was stunning. Hands down Citron has the best outdoor dining experience in Baltimore!!

Finally...what dining out should look and feel like. From the sophisticated yet comfortable decor, well prepared meal and attentive wait staff, Citron did not disappoint. Keep up the good work.

Absolutely fantastic experience from door to door. Service is exceptional. Everyone is so attentive. A greeter was there to hold the door before you even walk into the restaurant. Even amidst a lot of people (on Valentine's day), we were checked in with our reservations and seated immediately. The food is excellent as well. When I left for the evening, I had a feeling of fulfillment - that perfect balance of eating the right type and amount of food. The atmosphere was also great; tables were well spaced to encourage private conversation, a nice fireplace, comfortable chairs, and lighting that fit the mood. And what an excellent waiter. Nick was kind, helpful, and on top of everything. The pace of the meal was also good. You really felt invited to take your time and spend your evening at the restaurant. Highly recommend. I would really like to go back during the spring or summer to spend time outside with a lake view.

Had an incredible experience. Great drink selection, food is even better! I ordered the 'Osso Buco' and the meat was amazingly tender. The polenta side is worth mentioning on its own. A great pairing. I will definitely be back!

The atmosphere was great. But the food portions were small compared to the prices charged.

Such a beautiful and amazingly classy destination for elegant dining. Wonderful outside dining and entertainment and a view almost like no other. It's almost like having dinner on the lake. Whether it's mid day or late evening always a fabulous experience. Inside dining makes you feel like you're in Hollywood.
I consider it my kitchen just outside my home.... while I sit on my beautiful lake and enjoying a delicious meal. A.V.

I had my birthday dinner this past weekend at Citron. The food was excellent, and the service was top notch. The atmosphere was genuinely unique. The view stunning the entire experience made my birthday a winner. I will be coming back again and again for this extravaganza experience soon.

8/9/2020 was my first time at this restaurant for my birthday and let me tell you guys this is absolutely amazing to me. I didn't know the restaurant open at 4pm so my husband and I were the first people in the restaurant and I was greeted with happy birthday by the lovely hostess who sitted us outside at table with a perfect little view. Our waiter Nathan was one point from beginning to end. Very respectful, answered all my questions and knew the menu very well. A HUGE PLUS IN BOOK (BIG SHOUTOUT TO NATHAN FOR THE EXCELLENT SERVICE ). OH the music was on point. The manger even personally acknowledged my birthday even complimented me on my dress and mask. The FOOD WAS AMAZING SO GOOD. Enjoying my leftovers as I write this post. Oh yeah you have to try the macadamia nut bar and it came with the cutest chocolate birthday sign. Even among leaving i got told happy birthday. Yesterday I just felt special and everyone at Citron had a huge hand in making me feel that way. Thank you Citron for the amazing service, good food, and just overall a GREAT BIRTHDAY. Pretty much people I had a great time, I enjoyed the food and highly recommended having a date night, or any special occasion here they can handle it.

Food was good. Service was so so but that could be an effect of covid

First we reserved our table 3 days before hand and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. The service was terrible, a member of my table food was never delivered, they didn t refill our drinks, the wait was unexceptionally long for no reason. Our waiter kept forgetting everything that we ordered and waited a whole hour and 30 minutes to get our food. I ll say that the music was nice though!

Citron was an amazing experience. First, the restaurant is beautiful. Right on the lake. Our server was Lazarus. He was really knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails. But the best part was that he gave us a tour of the entire place at the end of the night. He told us what plans they had for the place, where we could have private events, and took us to see the water. We will certainly be back!

This was my first time coming to this beautiful and amazing restaurant I had a wonderful time, atmosphere was warm and welcoming, our server Stadden was very attentive i look forward to returning very soon.

Being from New York City, and being avid world travelers, our family has dined at some world class restaurants and venues. We have been locals here in Baltimore for a while and have been looking for an atmosphere and menu, like that of Citron, for quite some time. We have a new addition to our family, a 4 month old baby girl. From the moment we arrived, our baby Genevieve 'Gily' was seamlessly accommodated and we were given perfect seating for our party of 3 with our car seat. The wait staff were on point the entire evening and the beverages were always attended to. Regarding the mussel appetizer, if you are used to a large pot of small scrumptious mussels, this will be quite a shock, as they are massive and full of flavor. A very unique presentation, and quite shocking at first site. Absolutely delicious once we dug into them. Being a Chilean Sea Bass junkie, I had to try that menu item. At $44, it was a bit more than I am used to paying for a fish such as that. Once served, I was thoroughly impressed at the presentation and the tenderness of the fish. Well worth the extra $$ for a menu item such as that. The owner Charles couldn't have been nicer, and they welcomed us as though we had been regulars. We do host events and parties, and this venue seems to be the perfect spot to host. We also can't wait to come back and try the other Menu items as well as the bar Menu. We ALSO do Sunday brunch quite frequently, and learned they offer that feature on Sundays. We ABSOLUTELY cannot wait for a nice bloody on Sunday with that ambiance! Very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. You can bet we will be returning and have found our new local 'Go To' restaurant.

Citron hosted a party for my company - I can't express how professional the service was, in addition to the amazing food!

The view of the quarry is amazing, as well as the atmosphere. A must go.

Citron is a top-notch establishment and I would highly recommend them for anything from the casual dinner or bar hang out to a more elegant dinner night out. They truly are that versatile.

Personally, I hosted an event and presentation for about 15 people and they are perfect for that as well.

The service was impeccable, both during the planning phase, set up and execution of the event.

The owner, Charles Levine, truly goes out of his way to make you feel welcome here and ensures that all of your needs are fully met. It trickles down from him to the staff, as everyone did a fantastic job taking care of us.

The food was absolutely delicious. It s really where this place shines! The shrimp and scallop pasta was especially great.

After our presentation was over, we were very pleased to be able to walk out onto the patio and into a lively scene with a band playing and everyone very much enjoying themselves.

Highly recommend Citron on many levels - you will not be disappointed!

Thanksgiving dinner to go was wonderful. Portions were so large we also had dinner for Friday.

We were looking for a restaurant where we could relax and not feel rushed, and enjoy some good food but without spending too much money. Citron can be expensive, but we decided to go with the lite fare options and the happy hour drink specials which fit our budget and was on par with most other restaurants we considered. The view on the deck is fantastic, and we really enjoyed the music. The service was top notch, and the owner was very attentive. Between the drinks and the food, we left feeling satisfied without being overly full. Overall we had a great experience.

We had a wonderful meal at Citron tonight and look forward to returning soon. The food was delicious, the service attentive and the drinks generous. After dinner we wandered onto their deck/patio overlooking the lake where Janelle was performing. It was a lot of fun and if it hadn't been a work night we would have stayed to closing!

Very nice location. Warm and open ambiance. Nice menu selection. Food was good. Filet mignon medium rare was very good. Sea bass was also very good. Desserts were small and pricey. Overall very nice but be prepared to spend$$$$

Every aspect--food, atmosphere, & waiters were excellent! I went there on Saturday with my two sisters-- we were celebrating one of my sisters' birthday. I am a very choosy eater. I am into fresh, organic & quality foods that taste good without a lot of additives. To start, I had the chickpea fritters that were phenomenal. I ordered the salmon over quinoa & asparagus. The salmon was crisp on the outside and very moist on the inside & was scrumptious. We all got the desserts. The cakes were so moist & delicious, we ordered slices to take home. The waiter was very attentive to us, so we blessed him in a nice tip. Lastly there are so many interesting rooms to eat in, with their own distinctive atmosphere. One room has a fire place & there are even rooms & tables outdoors overlooking water. My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My husband & I are planning to go there soon!

Not only does Citron have a beautiful view, the food and service is impeccable! Went here for the first time on a date and was greeted immediately by the staff telling us all about the menu and the experience of the restaurant. Our waiter was also so kind and very attentive. The food was so so good and well worth the price, get the salmon if they have it available! Great food, great view, and everyone was so personable! Will absolutely be going again.

We celebrated our friend's 40th birthday there last weekend and it was amazing! The ambiance is perfection - definitely needed in Baltimore. Food was unique, tasty and on time. The drinks were superb and service great. Really great new place - must try!!! (and I'm beyond picky)...
