This is my 3rd year going to 1st place. I now only have to go every 2 or 3 months to get an adjustment.

Wonderful, caring practitioners. They helped me a great deal. The practitioners in Arizona are too far away for me to get any further treatments. I highly recommend this group.

I was referred to First Place Chiropractic from a friend who said they fixed his ailments. When I met Dr. K, I had extreme headaches, dizziness, unstableness, with pains in my neck. I tried standard chiropractic treatment, but that didn't seem to help in the long term. I came to her and scheduled my initial appointment and evaluation. They took the necessary x-rays and gave me my results. I followed their program with disbelief at first. Going to different chiropractors before, I expected this would include an ongoing repetition of visits with little relief. The initial adjustment was so minor that I could not believe that it actually did anything. But throughout the following days I felt better and throughout the following weeks, much to my disbelief, I was better. Wow! Something so minor but yet targeted by a professional healed me. I can tell you my headaches went from a scale of seven or eight to less than two. I am no longer dizzy or unbalanced. Please, if you have any issues definitely see these people because this treatment really does work. I was told by other chiropractors that these ailments were more than likely permanent and I just had to deal with it. What a great relief to see improvement in my daily life.

I have been a patient at First Place Chiropractic for 10 years. Prior to getting care here, for years, I had more days in a month with migraine than without; it was rare for me not to have a headache. Looking back, I don't know how I functioned. Medicine didn't really work, nothing did -- until I saw Dr. Kleinfelter. I had been very anti-chiropractic because I had gotten hurt by a chiropractor years before and swore I'd never do it again. My aunt who had tried a NUCCA doctor out west convinced me to try: I was miserable and what did I have to lose?
That was 10 years ago. I come regularly, and now I only have a migraine when I'm out of alignment. Moreover, my TMJ symptoms improved 85% immediately after my first appointment. Now I have problems with TMJ only when I need an adjustment.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kleinfelter and her NUCCA practice. The quality of my life radically improved because of her. Family and friends see her now because they saw the improvement I experienced. Perhaps the biggest testimonial I can give is that my daughter began seeing Dr. Kleinfelter when she was a week old. She had had a traumatic birth experience, and I believe she would've needed extensive physical therapy, had it not been for the immediate NUCCA care she received.

I have been under NUCCA care for several years with Dr. Kleinfelter. I tried a regular chiropractor for 2 years and it did not relieve my neck pain, it was getting worse. I did not like how a regular chiropractor would twist my neck and whole body to get it in alignment and have to go back and do it over and over again. A friend of mine referred me to NUCCA care with Dr. Kleinfelter and it was the best thing I have ever done. The adjustment is so gentle that you don't even feel it. I got Lyme Disease in 2009. It has greatly affected my shoulders, neck, and head. I tried to resume the type of chiropractic I had done before getting sick but it exacerbated my symptoms so much instead of provide any relief. The snap and crack method was too much for my body to handle. I was then told about NUCCA and 1ST Place Chiropractic. The gentleness of the adjustments are what my body needs, and the NUCCA technique has helped my neck to regain its natural curvature. I ve been to several different chiropractors in my life. First place Chiropractic is the only one I can say that has made me feel better.

I have been seeing Dr. Kleinfelter for over a year and I have to say that it was the best decision I have ever made. I had a shoulder injury, a labral tear that was diagnosed by MRI, and I was told that surgery was my only option to help the pain. Today my shoulder is feeling great and I did not have to have surgery. I am working out again with no pain or problems at all.

I ve been using other Chiropracter care over the last couple decades. Dr K has done a better job in the last 3 or 4 months than the chiropractors I ve been seeing. I was skeptical.... but it works for me.

I have never experienced true healing like what I did after seeing Dr. Kleinfelter. I suffered for 3 years with low back pain induced by pregnancy. I saw 6 different physical therapists, a few doctors, and a traditional chiropractor with no great improvement. After my first adjustment by Dr. K, I felt immediate relief and I knew my search for the key to healing was over. I almost cried in her office I was so happy and relieved! Since then, I have noticed other, unexpected improvements. My hormones are coming back into balance, and my immune system is notably stronger. My husband and my kids now see her, too, and it has helped very much with their various ailments. This is such a hidden gem - I wish all people knew how the body can heal itself if given the chance!

Here is a list of the symptoms I had when I first went to 1st Place Chiropractic. Some were daily and some were periodic...
Internal facial pain (dull ache to sharp shooting pain, mostly on the right side of face, including ear and under jaw)
External facial pain (right side, burning sensation)
Large blister-like sores on right side of face and chin, inside mouth and nose
Small blister-like sores on knuckles (feels like being stabbed with a pin)
Daily, debilitating headache behind eyes, center of forehead, and right temple (pain greatly increases if I bend over)
Head fog (difficulty thinking, processing, remembering)
Pain in the neck and going up back of the head
Visual distortion when looking from one place to another
Vision in right eye greatly decreased
Right side of face and eyelid twitches frequently
Left leg twitching/spasms
Left knee pain
Gums and inside nose would open in slits and bleed when nerves were really aggravated
Swollen upper lip (twice it s normal size) accompanied by sores
Extreme fatigue and all-over weak feeling, as well as consistent aching in arms and legs

Sleep deprived (no matter how long I slept, it felt like I didn t)
Swelling in hands and feet/painful joints

Poor circulation (feeling cold all the time)

ALL GONE! When I am holding my alignment I experience NONE of these symptoms. If I go out of alignment, I experience only a few of them anymore, but then I get a very gentle correction and they're gone again!

When I was 22 years old I was struck with a debilitating and inexplicable condition of perpetual vertigo, which often resulted in painful headaches and nausea, and made everyday tasks such as driving and doing my work extremely difficult. I saw many medical experts and they could not find the source of the problem. I did not know I was badly misaligned and as the conditioned worsened, my head became heavier over time to the point where it was hard to hold it up and I had neck and lower back pain. By the grace of God, after 20 years of suffering, I learned about 1st Place Chiropractic and Dr. Kyrie Kleinfelter showed me by x-rays that my spinal misalignment could be the source of my problems. She did a gentle and painless adjustment which took 30 seconds and now, 18 months later, I am almost 100% healed! I've only needed 2 adjustments and my body has continued to heal on its own. This entire process, including x-rays, adjustments and follow-up appointments has cost me only $1500, which is so minimal for having my health back. I came to 1st Place Chiropractic because I was having pain in lower back along with tingling and numbness in my legs and feet. This had been going on for a couple years. I had tried other Chiro docs and also had pain relief injections in my back. The symptoms always came back. I was very skeptical but figured I would try it before seeing a surgeon. I'm so glad I did. I had immediate relief from the lower back pain and the tingling and numbness is significantly reduced. I do continue to come for treatment and I continue to improve. I am so grateful to the doctors and staff at 1st Place Chiropractic. I am no longer considering surgery.

Everyone in the office is very professional and caring. The upper cervical adjustment is extremely gentle and feels like a tickle behind your ear. This is because NUCCA does not use direct force to correct malalignment but instead uses a wave form of energy that is so gentle that my 3 year thinks it's silly. I first tried taking him when he was 2 years old to help his persistent torticollis, but he was very anxious and began crying hysterically. Dr. K. suggested we wait until he's ready. For the next year he accompanied me to my visits and Dr. K. spent a few minutes each visit interacting with him to build up trust. Once he trusted her, the x-Rays were a breeze and the adjustment became a fun game. We started to see some improvements in his head position after just 3 visits. He had gone through PT but we just couldn't correct the last 10degrees of his tilt. Most people couldn't notice his head tilt, but as his mother and a pediatric PT, it was very obvious to me and I knew the implications that an uncorrected tilt would have on his visual and motor development. I'm happy to say that his head is now tilted a mere 2degrees! Thank you Dr. Kleinfelter. As for my own health, I do believe that NUCCA was a critical part of my recovery from chronic digestive problems, osteopenia and occasional low back and shoulder pain. One year before starting NUCCA, my bone scans showed that I was reversing my osteopenia through a paleo diet alone so I can't say NUCCA helped me there, but it definitely helped to improve my energy, brain fog, and low back and shoulder problems. I'm currently going once every 6-8 weeks and feel great. I believe correct spinal alignment is a critical part of any well-rounded treatment program, but never underestimate the power of a healthy diet. Food is medicine! We noticed that I would fall out of alignment whenever I experienced a severe food reaction, likely because of the widespread inflammation it caused. The malalignmemt would often lead to back and shoulder pain. It was eye-opening to see how everything is connected.

I was greatly surprised how well and quickly they solved my pains. This is the only treatment that has ever helped me. Thanks again Doc!

This is the best chiropractic place ever! Not only are the people wonderful and kind, but Dr. K. actually straightened my back! Yes, it's true! I had scoliosis, and my back is straighter now! I only wish I had found them sooner!

I've had neck problems and headaches caused by minor sports injuries-- typical of active sport. Skiing and biking and a fall here and there over many years. I've been a patient for almost 7 years but had a cervical fusion approximately 3 years prior to becoming a patient. I noticed a difference pretty quickly in the reduction of headaches and chronic neck pain. I had also had a reverse curve in my neck and had received years of conventional chiropractic care with no change in my curve. Although it's been gradual, the curve in my neck is back to a normal curvature.

Did not have a good experience. Went in with a sore neck and Bell's palsy symptoms. A friend said NUCCA could help both symptoms. Spent over $1,000 in treatments that accomplished NOTHING. Seemed to always go "out of adjustment" just when reduced appointment schedule would have kicked in, requiring more treatments. Have tried numerous chiropractors in past and had wonderful results. 1st Place provided no relief, even for neck pain. Keeps asking me for reviews which makes me believe they don't even read their reviews, nor care.

A great place to begin healing. Fantastic staff. Gentle manipulations start the road to healing. My son, daughters and I have all benefited from being cared for here. I have degeneration in my neck from an accident when I was a kid and 3 minor car accidents over the years. When I came to 1st Place Chiropractic after an accident over a decade ago, their methods led to much greater results than previous Chiropractic methods. My daughter had started being treated after a concussion and it has helped her recovery more than conventional treatments. Each of the doctors is caring and builds a good relationship with you so even if you prefer one, your experience with the others is great when you see them. I was suffering with head-aches and neck pain when I learned about 1st Place. Dr. Partridge took x-rays that showed the misalignment of my neck. After the adjustment - which was painless - the head-aches and neck pain went away and my posture improved. Everyone in the office is very nice and professional. My journey towards NUCCA started in November of 2018. My name is Tracy Albin and in February of 2020 1st Place Chiropractic changed my life.
Until then I suffered from severe headaches; debilitating headaches, those which prevented me from driving and ultimately forced me to quit my job.
Nearly 2 years ago my symptoms started with a stiff neck, they were slightly and temporarily remedied by massage therapy. The pain eventually moved from the base of my neck up the back of my head and over the top. Mostly on the left side, but often both sides. This pain lasted quite a few weeks and became so severe (with pain reliever only taking a bit of the edge off) that I was rushed to the ER. After a barrage of tests and thousands of dollars in medical bills I was simply given 2 nerve block shots at the base of my skull and sent home. All the poking and prodding and scans showed no significant reason for such pain. Needless to say the shots, which provided the first relief in months, only last a few days.
I was then sent to a physical therapist to strengthen the muscles in my neck and shoulders, which I willingly did for many weeks, again, only some relief was attained.
While still going to have massages 2-3 times per week my therapist recommended a traditional chiropractor whom she worked for as well. It was then that I was finally diagnosed with something we could work with, arthritis. After months and months and months of therapy we were unable to keep up with the $160/week out of pocket expense. I stopped and almost immediately became worse. At this point I was clenching my teeth, so the head and neck pain was now coupled with teeth, jaw and temple pain.
I stopped eating hard foods, was drinking smoothies for every meal, couldn t sleep and quit my job. I made an appointment with my dentist to address what I suspected was TMJ. I was referred, through them, to a specialist for TMJ. My husband and I were quite hopeful that this therapy was our saving grace because I responded to it very well. That is until what was originally and exclusively pain on the left side of my head subsided only for it to quickly transfer over to the right. Back to square one. The therapy this time wasn t working as well. This doctor suggested that I may be tongue tied and referred me to another associate that specialized in frenectomies which involves cutting a thick or tight band of tissue (lingual frenulum) which tethers the bottom of the tongue's tip to the floor of the mouth.
Before heading to yet another associate of our dental practice we decided to get a second opinion. A specialist in Naperville told me that under no uncertain terms was I tongue tied and I should NOT have a frenectomy.
We were at our wits end. I was medicating myself 4xdaily with 4x200 mg ibuprofen; 16 tablets daily, I was in bed all day and barely eating.
Then the miracle happened! A friend of mine suggested 1st Place Chiropractic; both she and her husband found relief with their back issues. This staff is amazing, the bed side manner is top notch. Everyone genuinely cares! And everyone has a personal story about how NUCCA changed their lives! I found relief after just one adjustment and I have now reached a 3 month stretch in time spent without an adjustment! I have nothing but gratitude for Dr. K and her staff, there are no words to express how thankful I am for this group of folks who have restored my physical health and my joy for life!

We [me, my husband, our son (13), and our daughter(9)] started working with Dr. Kleinfelter in June of 2010. My son has amblyopia (lazy eye) and my daughter has esotropia (cross eyed). After Dr. Kleinfelter reviewed our x-rays and then started adjusting us, she said that our children's vision would probably improve. That was an understatement! Six months later, the ophthalmologist was so shocked at how drastically their vision had improved that she was flipping through their charts to see what their vision was when they first got glasses years earlier (my son at 4 and my daughter at 2). In April 2013, our ophthalmologist informed us that our son's vision was now a perfect 20/20 and he no longer needs to wear glasses! At four years old, he was 20/100 in his right eye -- his brain was literally not working with his eye and he was going blind in that eye. Our son also had signs of motor Tourette Syndrome (runs in our family) since age three causing uncontrollable/involuntary muscle movements of the arms, shoulders, head, and face. These movements were getting worse as he was getting older. However, within six month of working with Dr. Kleinfelter, they completely diminished -- 100%! He no longer has this condition. Our daughter's vision also continues to improve tremendously and she should be out of her glasses within the next year or two. And, my husband and I feel great also! We both feel healthier than we did in our twenties (I am 49 and he is 50). We highly recommend Dr. Kleinfelter!

Growing up I struggled with back pain since I was 5. My family found this place and I started coming 10 years ago. All my struggles went away. I no longer have to do back exercises and can live pain free.
The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Each visit they welcome you by name and address any problems you've been having with excellence. Would 100% recommend to anyone with back pain of any sort. It's helped me and I hope others will take advantage of their services.

I went to see Dr. Orsini for upper back tightness and neck pain that I had been experiencing for over 30 years. After having worked at a traditional chiropractic office for many years I was very hesitant to try this. My neurologist recommended it to me and after a bad fall on my tailbone jarring my spine causing a series of daily migraines for over 4 months. I finally called and got my first and what needed to be my only adjustment. What I thought was just going to help relieve my headaches turned into complete body relief and actual change in body functions that have plagued me my entire life like constipation.....which I no longer suffer from just 8 weeks later. At 54 years of age I have struggled with low back issues since high school. I was always told that it was because I had one leg significantly shorter than the other - so much so that my mother always had to hem my pants legs to different lengths and doctors made me wear a lift in one shoe. I had been to chiropractors continuously with no lasting results. Every month I would have to go get an adjustment. Then a friend told me about NUCCA chiropractic treatment. It sounded hokey to me but because I was desperate for lasting relief I decided to go. 1st Place Chiropractic impressed me with a very thorough intake assessment including complete X-Rays. Dr. Kleinfelt explained NUCCA treatment process and that it would take time to reverse the years my muscles and skeletal system had been compensating for the miss-alignment in my neck. I questioned how the top vertebrae could cause so much pain in the low back area, she said I would understand after my first adjustment. She first measured the length of my legs and found that one was 3/4" shorter than the other. That first adjustment really surprised me in two ways: 1- there was no popping, cracking, pushing or twisting of anything. In fact the touch was so light that I doubted the Dr. had done anything at all. 2- when she measured my legs after the adjustment they were very close to exactly the same length! So though I was still skeptical at that point I had to admit that something had happened that had never happened before in my life. I decided to stick with the long process of healing with regular check ups and adjustments. It took almost 6 months before I began to hold my adjustment for more than a couple weeks. Then progress began rapidly, better yet the low back pain and shooting pain down my leg began to disappeared. Now after going to 1st Place Chiropractic for 6 years I have little to no low back pain and only need an adjustment about twice a year, usually after a fall or some other unusuall stress due to work. I have been going to 1st Place Chiropractic for around three years now and I couldn t imagine it any other way! I ve suffered with chronic vertigo for nine years now and this place is the first place that was able to give me any relief! I ve been to tons of doctors and countless other chiropractors but NUCCA is the only thing that has made a positive difference in my symptoms. I never realized how bad I was sleeping until now, when I can sleep the whole night through which I wasn t able to do before. I went from waking up 10 times a night, to maybe once, and my energy level is so much better because of it. My headaches were so bad that I couldn t even look at a tv at one point and now I m a full time college student. All of the chiropractors and everyone at the front desk are so kind and compassionate. As an active 59 year old woman, I was hobbling around like an old woman. Forward 1 year after my first cervical adjustment and herbal treatment for Lymes disease....I helped strip and reroof a 4 car garage, can plant 20 trees in a day, and water them on a 90 degree day, carrying 5 gallon buckets through 5 foot high grass and weeds! Their loving care is part of the healing!
