Biggest disappointment was that the pool/Jacuzzi that I was looking forward to closes at 7 or 8pm. Wasn't aware of this when we got kicked out last night. Not sure why anyone would wanna use the hot Jacuzzi during the hot morning/afternoon? But they look nice, just relatively inaccessible given the hours of operation. No microwaves in the hotel rooms? Some staff say they are available, some say they arent. So we bought food and now cant use half of it. Internet wifi is a bit slow, had to use my phone hotspot because the wifi wasn't fast enough to stream a Netflix movie. Breakfast abit pricey, better to go to Cuban breakfast spots nearby. Also, some really loud construction that made it abit difficult to sleep last night.

The Good:
The staff is amazing and respectful. As a workout nut, I appreciate the gym and even took a Yoga class today which was great! Apparently there are free classes every day--will likely participate in the classes for the next 2 days while I am here. View from the hotel is amazing. The hotel looks good period. They do little things right. I am happy with the hotel room. Shower is really nice. Arrangement, everything. Balcony has phenomenal view.

But the staff (which is sometimes the most important part) is very respectful, nice. 2.5ish/5 for now.

The room itself is a 5. The view is spectacular as soon as you walk in, BUT the cost for everything is ridiculously over priced. They charge you 6 times what a little shot liquor bottle would cost in the store. So, we didn't have one. Then they charge you $40 per day if you remove anything from the fridge to put what you brought in with you in there. That's if they are being nice. They tried to charge us for everything that was removed from the fridge, not once but every day that we were there. I ask, how can I consume one thing 3 days in a row? By the way, they fill that little fridge so full that you don't have a choice but to take something out if you want to use it. (On the last night, we did see the sticker on the fridge that said if you need a fridge to call housekeeping.) They charge $9 each for the in room coffee. So we went downstairs to the lobby to Starbucks for better coffee at regular prices. One night I made the mistake of having a couple of drinks at the bar and getting a bite to eat. I had the mini tacos, which were very good, but literally just a bite. I had to order a minimum of two and they were $6 or $7 dollars each. Those bites did nothing for me, so I ordered a sushi roll of which they serve about half of what a restaurant would serve. My tab, about $86 with the automatic gratuity included.
I loved the balcony and the views, but the only way I would return is if they paid me to do so. (Excuse any typos.)

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel.
First of all, when we arrived we had to wait in a big line cause there was only two people behind the front desk. However they worked very hard and were very welcomed.
Second, the rooms are too dusty, looks like nobody was vacuuming at all for a long time. The sheets were dirty!
Third, the rooms was super cold, we were literally freezing and there was no options - the heat was not working.
Forth, the breakfast was ok, but we felt like the hosts were too busy to seat us and we were not welcomed, that was strange.
Fifth, the in room dining. This is a real mess. The food was cold, we asked to replace it or at least heat it, we waited the whole hour and nobody came! Then, after an hour we called and asked to take it from our check, cause we decided drive to the restaurant. Guess what, we waited for an hour more and nobody came! Again. There was horrible service, worst in our life, actually. We simply put food behind the door and left the hotel to eat.
Some words about Nobu restaurant: it's ok, but everything is so salty, if you like it - you're in. We were out. And there is no other option except Starbucks which is soo slow.
Sixth, the beach...well, if you want to see the ocean we have bad news: it's covered by the special extra charge front row.
We hope the hotel will improve and will provide better service for the clients.

Visited for a wedding. The place is beautiful and the staff was very professional and courteous. I love the different dimensions off the place. The wedding was rooftop. The reception was super roomy and very nice. Outside of the planned event you can enjoy the vibe of lobby bar. The ocean sits right behind the hotel if you want to take a stroll. I give it 4 stars for the simple fact that if you were going to Eden Roc for an event or to enjoy it"s various amenities it becomes a nightmare due to limited parking because of beachgoers using the same parking lot and leaving no space for people actually visiting the hotel and we did not see a place for overflow parking. Other than it is very nice and I would visit again.

Great spot to kick it and have the best R&R in Miami. Located next to self parking, beach, private pools/Jacuzzi and bars. Beds are very comfortable. Hotel/Resort is exceptionally clean with very pleasant diverse staff. Very private rooms with very large balcony. Huge sliding door makes the room sounds like the beach is right outside the door. Has mini bar with sensor. Highly recommend and will be back.

This place was ok. Very crowded, not a value for the money, however, everything is expensive here so it might be considering. Miami is super crowded as it is. Parking was a nightmare. The staff was nice enough.

Front desk knows customer service. Thanks Alex & Joe . My room and especially the ocean view is exactly what I wanted. Excellent service continued at the beach. Again thanks for accommodating my special requests . A day on South Beach needs to be special and the whole crew, Kathy, Juan & Jonathan made it happen. I recommend this property!! James at the concierge desk hooked me up with some stellar dinner suggestions. Thank you. Phone off, toes in the sand.

Rooms have great view, but not really in South Beach. Room service did not show up on a couple of occasions (even after asking the front desk to send someone). Also, charged for a spa treatment that I did not receive, and they are still "investigating" after a month. Terrible service!

Hands down, this is has been the worst experience since I stepped foot here Christmas Day. A party of three family s, two rooms were not ready. The service has been terrible. Upon arrival we ordered chicken wings, fried squid, fried shrimp, two margaritas and one speciality cocktail. $138 tip included, he forgot one drink. Did not provide silverware. Our dinner Christmas night at NoBu, was a horror show. Everything tasted delicioused however everything came out on its own time. At no point did we all eat dinner together as a family on Christmas. My plate. Spicy vegetables came out last, approximately 45 minutes after everyone else finished their meals. Our spicy seafood soup has minimal seafood and was FILLED w. Mushrooms. Should have been called mushroom soup. Our breakfast the next day was beyond mediocre, potatoes were not cooked fully, bagels barely toasted. But STARVING so ate it all. The staff is beyond unfriendly or helpful. We will not be spending anymore money here, returning here or EVER recommending this place.

I absolutely loved this hotel! My friend and I stayed here for two nights and found it to be a very classy experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our flight landed many hours before check-in time but they were kind in allowing us to enter our room earlier. There was a DJ upstairs by the pool area who kept us all energetic with the new music. I look forward to staying at this hotel again the next time I visit the Miami Beach area.

A beach with white sand, clear water, warm atmosphere not so exaggerated.
Travel here by plane and try to find ways to get to the beach, of which I found 4:
Rent a car which was expensive and necessary.
Take a taxi "from the yellows" and the price was around $ 35 dollars.
Call a uber $ 22 dollars (only sometimes it does not take the card payment)
Take the AirTrain from the airport to the end of the airport and from there take another one that takes you to a bus stop where there are ATMs that sell round tickets to the beach for $ 4.50. Atuobus air-conditioned, comfortable and it takes 25 min to get to the closest point to the sea shore which is 2 blocks away.

Nice hotel with a great pool just meters away from the beach. At checking we received a free room upgrade. Just small details that could be improved e.g. room was huge but felt a bit empty, 2 wardrobes did not have a single hanger. But overall we are very happy with our stay and will come back.

It's expensive for what it is. It's not a 5 star hotel as advertised - feels much more 4 star with 5 star prices.

Resort fees are a rip off too. Just include it in the price to stay there as they aren't optional if you stay. It's just a way to hide another cost when people are comparing hotels.

The WiFi doesn't work by the bottom pool and the staff were pretty rude when being told that isn't acceptavel when paying $40 for a days resort fees... They should fit an additional WiFi point down there to cover it properly as they were all aware it didn't work due to being reported to them by lots of others.

Average service but 20% service charge chucked on everything you order and then a line left to tip as well on top of this. $80 for 4 drinks and 2 portions of fries. On top of the $40 resort fee to be allowed to stay there. On top of the $XXX per night room fee. And they didn't bring sauce until our fries were cold and we'd asked twice... Ordered 2 beers and didn't get them for nearly 25mins. Only after asking were we told they had a new delivery and were just chilling them...would have happily changed beer type to save time...still 20% service charge plus tip on a small can of beer for $10 before tax.

It's literally cheaper to order food and drink in with delivery from a proper restaurant than to snack and drink by the pool.

Overall the place isn't the cleanest either. Rooms, pool area, etc. The lobby is very nice and well maintained. There are broken tiles, plasters/band aids etc. By the pool left there all day. The rooms get the beds made a bathroom wipe but aren't well cleaned.

The rooms also need updated and maintained. Lots of slightly damaged furniture and it's all dated/old. Some of the rooms seems to have been updated according to the website but ours hasn't.

We had a wonderful week at the Eden Roc. We had stayed at several other hotels in the area over the last several years. The Eden Roc had outstanding service by far compared to the other hotels. The staff was friendly and attentive to all our needs. We have encouraged other family members to choose the Eden Roc when the visit Miami.

So this is a 5 star hotel, very luxurious and expensive however its domestic staff must be monitored as the rooms aren't cleaned properly even after complaining. Hairs everywhere (balcony, bathroom and behind the room door) and very dusty on the first day of arrival. Half eaten complimentary snacks, i guess by the previous guest. Balcony was never cleaned during my stay. The jacuzzi wasn't monitored at all. Found bones and food inside, very disgusting. Empty plates with leftover right beside it and the hotel staff just ignored it.

My husband and I planned our honeymoon 9 months in...

My husband and I planned our honeymoon 9 months in advance. We wanted to go all out and get all the bells and whistles. We live hectic lives in Indiana and have never been on a real vacation before. I researched for a solid 1-2 years before deciding to stay at Eden Roc. Then COVID19 happened. I was devastated. Nothing was refundable. Luckily, restrictions lightened enough for us to still get to go. Unfortunately, all the bells and whistles I paid for went away. No room service. No mini bar. Very limited on a lot of things. Not to mention wearing a mask ALL THE TIME in this heat/humidity is hard on us Hoosiers!
But, when all was said and done, we were still able to relax and somewhat forget the craziness happening in the world.

My only complaints-
-no Mimi bar meant no fridge in our room. But once we asked for one, they promptly brought one up to us.
-The food on site was CRAZY expensive and very limited. $5 for a can of Pepsi...
-We were told we had to use vallet parking, which was $50 a day (not including tips).
-Our balcony didn t lock.
-No spa services for our planned couples massage.
-And there were HUNDREDS of dead bugs in our ocean view suite. I m guessing from a previous infestation of some sort that just hadn t been cleaned properly.
- we were not given the vip treatment we paid for. I get covid messed up a lot of things, but we weren t compensated in any way.

That being said, the man who helped us upon arrival was absolutely AMAZING! I wish I knew his name. He was running around like a mad man. And the majority of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only person I felt was less than helpful was on the beach. We asked to rent a cabana, but he didn t want to set one up...luckily another worker overheard the interaction and took care of us.

A suite isn't much different than a regular room. Paid almost $1,000 for one night in a a "suite" and a "disabled" room. Turned out that in their eyes roll-in showers are not important, and sufficient clearance to turn a wheelchair is a small detail that I shouldn't be focused on. Plus the hotels smells really bad. Not sure what kind of suite doesn't have a microwave or any sort of kitchen. Trust me, don't stay here.

We travelled as a family of 5 from Canada Ontario. We booked 2 rooms both with ocean view. The moment we entered the hotel we were very impressed. The hotel has a unique sweet smell as you enter. Front desk staff Javier & David were so helpful and lovely. Checked us In quickly and very professional. Hotel rooms were clean and had a beautiful view. Bathrooms were large. One of the rooms was a king size jr suite with corner balcony, the view was beautiful. Try to book with breakfast included because the buffet is fantastic, they have everything in terms of breakfast and the restaurant staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Concierge will help you in any way. Sania helped us and she was fantastic and greeted us so nicely when we would see her. She helped us to book our trip to the Bahamas and also rental of a car. We would definitely stay here again.

If I could put 10 stars I would. After a very disappointing venue last night at Martha Stewart's, Jefferys Rose party was outstanding!!! He shook everyone's hands coming in he circulated and took pictures with everyone, he is class act on TV and in person. The food was great right up to the end. Best impromptu sax player I've ever heard. Made us feel that we were in South Beach!! Made the trip worthwhile, worth every penny!!

Lovely hotel. I feel like more amenities should be included in the room, but that may just be me. We had to pay an extra $30 a day to have a mini fridge. There s no coffee maker or microwave and we had a suite. I wish the pool was open past 7pm as well. The rooms were very clean and the service was exceptional.

For the prices they charge and the mandatory 22% s...

For the prices they charge and the mandatory 22% service charge I was very disappointed with the customer service at Eden Roc.
I waited 45 mins to place a food order by the pool. It's as if you have to beg the waiters to take you into account and take your order. Finally I ordered three entrees whole by the pool and took them with me to the Eden Roc Beach. After settling in, and getting towel service, I went inside the ocean for 10-15 minutes and when I came back my food orders were gone. A waiter/busboy picked them up without even asking and the three boxes were almost full- we barely ate anything from them before going in. After complaining to the staff on the beach, I was told my orders would get replaced immediately. After 30 minutes of waiting on the food, another waitress came out and said they can't replace the orders because they "can't" communicate with the waiters by the Eden Roc pool and that I had to take care of this myself. Mind you, they go back and forth between the pool and the beach, they are all employed by the hotel but the real reason is that the order wasn't placed with her, so she wasn't the one getting paid for it, hence had zero motivation to help us, the customers.
I waited another 30 minutes for a manager (Andy)to show up and he did not so I went to look for him instead and explained the situation. He did not even tell us what he was doing, he just said to wait. There goes another 30 minutes of waiting without knowing what we're actually waiting for. After the long wait he shows up with the orders of food. Didn't offer an explanation for the 1.5 hrs we had to wait around for the staff to do the job they were supposed to do from the very beginning. I didn't even want the food anymore at that point. To top it all of, I'm forced to pay a service charge of 22% for service I wouldn't even tip 10% for. Ridiculous that Eden Roc with the reputation that it has, would treat its customers this way- less than satisfactory communication and treatment.

the hotel is outdated, very expensive, even if you want to keep bottle of water in small fridge witch is locked by default, you have to pay 45$ fee! This is insane!!!, all 5 days We stayed in it I did not have room service. you pay a resort fee of $ 35 per day, and if you go to the beach you have to pay Extra $ 25 for the umbrella, + 22% gratuity + tax, which adds even more than $ 32 to the daily bill. In general, the way to impose 22% gratuity is a total scam! I will never come back here again.

Stayed here over the weekend for a bachelorette weekend for my best friend. We were so impressed with the staff and attention to detail from beginning to end. The rooms were very spacious and extremely clean, pools were beautiful and beach was amazing. We loved having a private resort feel during the day and liked that it didn't get too crazy, but put us close to the hustle and bustle of South Beach. All 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed it.

DO note that Eden Roc is undergoing fairly major construction and has a temp concierge room and some areas closed off. A bit loud outside by the main pool during the day. But honestly, the staff was so great and it was so beautiful otherwise that we barely noticed. Slow elevator service also. But we are excited to see all the changes unveiled- which means we'll be coming back. Eden Roc still cares about being an excellent business. Thanks.

Checked into the hotel on 08/30 yill 09/2, at check in was informed I needed to leave a deposit of $600. Which took me by surprise, snyways to start no room service, requested clean linen and nothing. Then

We asked for toilt paper and nothing. On my grandmos grave swear we ended up using paper towel that I brought sine I had my grandson who was a 8th month old and took it just in case. At check out was informed the were not going to refund me the $690. As they deducted calet parking, $ 50 x day and they charged so much taxes that at the end my refund was goibg to be less than $300. Long story short as of 10/09/20 still to receive my refund back. And everytime I call the same answer, next timr dont use a debut xard use credit. And you need to contact you bank. Never againg. Now lets see if I get a call fron then after this review

Not worth the money. First off, apparently they add gratuity to all checks at the bars/restaurants. However, only one person who worked there told us this despite the dozens of trips made for food and drink. It isn't even printed on the credit card receipt or merchant copy, only on the actual receipt below them. It just seemed shady.

Then there was no iron or ironing board. We called the front desk, who didn't answer for literally five minutes. They told us to look in our closet, which we obviously had already, so they said they'd send them up. Then someone came to drop off the ironing board, and handed it to me without saying anything and walked away. I had to yell after them that we needed an iron too. Later, we told our friend that we got an iron and ironing board since they were complaining there weren't ones in their room either. So they called the fronk desk and were told the hotel doesn't have irons or ironing boards. Nice.

The room was pretty nice but the bathroom door was missing its nob, and we had to call the front desk again to ask them to clean the sticky dark fluid off the balcony railing. They never came to clean it. We mentioned it to the front desk again when we went to get new keys since ours randomly stopped working in the middle of our stay, but they still never cleaned it.

I'd just imagine for the price, there are probably hotels more worth your money in the area.

Terrible hotel for the price. I have stayed at MANY 4 star+ hotels around the country and this is by far the WORST. Rooms were dirty upon arrival and the glass door separating the bedroom and the shower/tub was broken so the other person staying with me in the two queen room could see me showering which was uncomfortable. Pools are nice and seem clean which was the only plus. Staff are rude, bell boys and valets just stand there and stare at everyone. Beach area is bland and chairs had bird poop on them. Lobby bar closes early in the night and room service has limited options depending on the time of day. Dishes and glasses stay in the hallways for hours. They must treat their employees like trash because they all look unhappy constantly. Definitely won t be coming here again.
