I tried to set up warranty repairs and, while the service tech was very nice, it was beyond him to figure out how to provide a loaner vehicle, even after I informed him that FCA (Fiat-Chrysler of America) would reimburse them a rental fee. Generally loaners are brief customer conveniences, but I would need one for an extended period of time as the work would be significant. I was working with Escallated Customer Care with FCA and everything was covered. Still, the service tech wouldn't allow a precious loaner to be out for an extended period of time. I suggested they pull a used vehicle since their reimbursement would be significant. The tech responded, "that's sales." People who can't solve problems make me nuts. Of course, I guess I dodged a bullet. If they couldn't figure out how to accept a profit on a loaner, they probably couldn't have fixed the complicated problem with my truck. I took my vehicle to Don Johnson Motors in Cumberland. They had my truck for a couple weeks and handled everything perfectly.
