Took my wife to the spa at Le Germain and we left disappointed. The experience was the opposite of what we have come to expect for a spa in comparison to others like Stillwater and Riverside Spa.

Staff was walking back and forth through the lounge area with supplies (this was at noon - why wasn't it done before opening hours). There were two corporate meetings going on at the same time that we could hear during our massage.

Showers were dirty with visible build up along the corners and edges. Towels provided were too small to wrap around (I'm 5'10", 175lbs with a 32" waist).

During the massage my wife said that her massage therapist (RMT) had gloves on. This is a first for us. Who uses gloves? And why was she not informed before the massage started?

During her massage, she also noted that her RMT appeared to have dozed off a couple times. She said the RMT stopped massaging (but still had both hands on her) for periods of time. Another first for us with this behaviour.

Shower after the massage was the same. However there are no amenties provided. No q-tips, hair products, face/body lotion, disposable razor and other shaving products. For me in the men's bathroom there was only a jar of cotton balls and a blow dryer.

Stillwater, Riverside and Banff Springs provides all of this and more. You leave the spa ready to continue your day. Rather than rushing home to moisturize your dry skin.

I'm hoping it was an off day for the spa at Le Germain, but I have reached out to the spa with my comments above but have not heard from them in almost a week. If they can't be bothered to reply, then I hope this Google review will provide others with info that they can use to make a better, more informed decision before coming here for treatment.
