The hotel alone is very nice and big, but that doesn't say anything. For us the hotel is maybe worth 3 stars. The beach didn't look like the photos on the internet, it was filthy with rubbish and plastic cups and there were a lot of broken glass ... otherwise the sea is beautiful!
Rooms were not renovated as shown in the photos on the internet, but everything was still old (the internet says rooms are all newly renovated)
-Air conditioning in the room was so noisy we didn't turn it on
-Bathroom was dirty, bathtub was cracked and it was already starting to rust. Mold on the sofa, etc.
The service staff was very disrespectful to young people, we were not served at all. We gave tips every day just like other guests, but unfortunately it didn't change anything.
- General very unfriendly staff, there were only a few people who were really nice.
It is a buffet but you shouldn't expect much. Sometimes the same food was always available for days. Otherwise the spaghetti tasted good.
The cleanliness of dishes and glasses is very poor.
We only had our real vacation on the beach. The sea was very beautiful. We couldn't even go into the pool because it was always freezing cold, but the sea was warmer even though we were 29 degrees.
We could hardly hear any Cuban music in the lobby, which we thought was a shame. Wifi was only available in the lobby and on the terrace and we would have to buy the tickets for it. 1 hour internet costs 1 CUC.
The entertainment for the evening was no fun at all, except only on December 31, 2018. That evening, the hotel really tried hard.
In conclusion, I have to say that we were very dissatisfied. We were really looking forward to this hotel and our vacation, but we were very disappointed.
